To be fair, the day she meets her sister’s boyfriend on the California beach, she thinks he’s a tourist—a really charming tourist who understands more of her heart than people she’s known her whole life.
But Marshall has a secret. He’s actually single.
He’s only pretending to date Shannon’s sister—his co-worker—because her ex dumped her hours before a family reunion. In return, she’s promised to recommend Marshall for a promotion back in New York.
But things get complicated when he meets Shannon, a woman so unlike anyone he’s ever known. Because she’s sweet and kind and … selfless.
And, somehow, she sees something in him.
Unfortunately, being with her would ruin all his plans. Or is love enough to make everything work out the way it should?

"It's enough to simply create beauty. It doesn't matter if no one else acknowledges it. That doesn't change the fact it's there."
It's another fun and memorable stroll through Walker Beach. This time the focus is on Shannon, Tyler's younger sister, who is sweet, shy and somewhat trapped in a box she's created for herself. Marshall, her older sister Quinn's co-worker, is confidant, career-oriented, but tender and both Shannon and Marshall's worlds get turned upside down during the famous Baker family reunion. It was hilarious and eye-opening to see the Baker clan through Marshall's eyes, who happens to be an outsider. It's a great story about finding one's voice, recognizing worth, and gifting forgiveness and grace.
I received a copy of the book from the author and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are solely my own.
Well, I really enjoyed this book, just like I did the rest of the stories in the series. All You Need Is Love is a good series ender, yet it also introduces a transition to a new series that will be coming up and connected to this one.
I really liked Shannon and Marshall. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the pretend relationship that Marshall and Quinn were in. However, I did like how things played out in the story. Plenty of tension and a beautiful romance that couldn't help but develop between Shannon and Marshall.
Many emotions are explored in this book, with a focus on the importance of honesty and integrity. Another focus is on choosing to take a chance and trust others, even if you could get hurt.
It was great to read through this whole series close together! I read this novel through Kindle Unlimited.
All You Need is Love, the fourth novel in Lindsay Harrel’s new Walker Beach Romance series, is a sweet, clean beach romance that fans of small-town books are sure to love.
The town of Walker Beach is a place that readers would love to visit. Shannon and Marshall's story is a sweet HEA tale that readers will be sure to enjoy.
All You Need is Love is recommended for fans of clean contemporary romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
You know when you finish a story, or a series in this case, and you are left with this thought that you didn’t really want to say goodbye yet, the author did a great job with bringing you characters to love.
This was how I felt when I finished this book. I think it might have been my favourite book of the series. I really liked Shannon’s story and her struggle to not fit in the box everyone else created for her. Marshall with his one hurts and struggles had a way of bringing out the real Shannon.
The author also left me with characters I’ve met in this book which I want their own story off and I was glad to see I will get the chance in a new series coming soon. As well as hoping one character will end up okay...
I enjoyed my time in Walker Bay and would recommend other fans of contemporary romance to also partake in this journey.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.*
Love this new installment in the Walker Beach Romance series! Shy Shannon Baker gets her story, only she falls in love with her sister's boyfriend, or does she? I love Shannon's character, she's got a heart of gold and will do anything for anyone, yet she is unsure of her own worth, she is the selfless peacemaker who never wants to make waves. The story begins with Shannon wanting to adopt a little boy she has grown to love, they are at the beach and meet Marshall, a man not from their small town. They click immediately and the time gets away from them. Not exchanging full names or phone numbers, Shannon does not expect to see Marshall again. Little does she know, he is in town with her sister Quinn, posing as her boyfriend. A delightful journey of getting over past hurts, finding their own true worth, and a sweet romance.
I recommend All You Need Is Love and all the books in the Walker Beach Romance for all lovers of sweet small-town stories!
What a spectacular ending to this book. I have to admit, I struggled a bit with the first part of this book, wanting to slap Quinn and hug Shannon. I identified with some of Shannon's struggles and insecurities, which made the first few chapters a bit hard for me to read at times, but wowza that ending. I LOVED the last few chapters of the book, Lindsay wrote a perfect ending and with the epilogue, I can't wait for the next series which will take us back to Walker Beach with what promises to be a cool setup for the next series. So excited for those!!
I received this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
Highly recommend for fans of small-town series and clean romance.
Not only does the Walker Beach series give its readers a delightful romance, it also weaves the stories of relatable characters in a small-town and their family relationships from past stories and giving hints of others along the way. This is a story of finding one's voice, one's self-worth, forgiveness and mending family relationships. And most of all, find that all one needs is love.
Just as some might escape life in a tv show, I find that Harrel's stories are the perfect way to end a long day. Hoping to visit Walker Beach again in the future.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Love love and love this story!! Trying to find our purpose in life can be hard. We know that God has grand plans for our lives, but trying to patiently wait until the timing is right can be so difficult. But when we get a glimpse of all the love that He gives to us and the people that He surrounds us with it can take us by surprise. And when He brings that special someone, at just the right time, it can leave us speechless. I think He gets quite a kick out of taking our breath away, those moments can only come from Him.
Shannon has hopes of adopting a little boy shes come too love in her community. They’re having a day at the beach and she meets a stranger and they hit it off. Marshall has come to Walker Beach in hope that a promotion promised to him will happen. He’s just got to pretend to be a boyfriend, too Shannon’s sister! They’re there for a wedding and she didn’t want to come alone. The more he gets to know Shannon, the more they click. It makes for interesting family gatherings in the setting of Walker Beach. I have enjoyed the entire series a lot. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All views stated are my own.
“All You Need Is Love” by Lindsay Harrel is a sweet romance novel. This is the fourth book in the Walker Beach Romance series. Although there are reoccurring characters from the first three novels, you could just read this novel by itself.
I loved Shannon and Marshall’s story. Shannon is a character that you can’t help but love. Lindsay Harrel does such a great job of describing the romance between the characters yet keeping it in a very clean manner.
If you enjoy good, clean, romantic beach novels, you will love this one.
I received this book from the author for my honest opinion.
Oh my goodness, this series got better & better with each book! And it gave birth to a new series, The Inn at Walker Beach! I cannot wait to read this series 😊 Clean romance, Family Dynamics, following your heart & your dreams, plus a little bit of intrigue 💕 I love Harrell's writing, her storytelling is top-notch. Shannon & Marshall's story is so sweet but I'd like to learn more about Quinn now. Maybe she'll reappear in the next series?
I really enjoyed this trip back to Walker Beach! I have enjoyed this series and have found myself wanting to go back and read them again! This is a sweet and clean read!
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.
Wow!! I loved Shannon and Marshall's story. I love reading about the same people and town. Such a great story. I love the dynamics between Shannon and Quinn. I love how Jenna is evolving through the stories and growing up and the advice she gives Shannon. Marshall and his dad's relationship and their issues are great and I love how Marshall wanted to confront his dad before trying to resolve things with Shannon. Awesome writing. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author, but I am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion here.
Marshall and Shannon's story adds another delightful read to this enjoyable series. This book wraps up the Walker Beach series by having the Baker family reunion that takes place the end of June through the July 4th holiday. Marshall meets Shannon on the beach where she has taken Noah and Lucky to play before the reunion begins. However, there appear to be sparks between the two of them. The story spirals from there into another enchanting clean read that will leave the reader with a smile. This book has also weaved activities involving characters from the earlier stories in for a culmination of their individual stories. A great book and series.
I received an ARC copy of this book, but this is my voluntary, honest and completely personal review. VICKI FROM WYOMING
I have read all of the Walker Beach books, and I loved getting to read Shannon’s story in this book. Shannon is such a great character with so much heart. I feel like a lot of readers will see themselves in her, a woman who struggles to feel like she is enough. I enjoyed watching as she worked through her struggles to figure out what her happily ever after should look like. I wasn’t too sure about Marshall in the beginning, but by the end he won me over. The town of Walker Beach is such a great place, I wish I could go visit there! Another fun read from Lindsay Harrel that took me away from the stress of life these days! I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review.
I enjoyed this last book of the Walker Beach series and I’m sad to see that it’s ended! Shannon’s storyline seemed the weightiest of all of the main characters in this series, with her troubled relationship with her sister and her journey to adopt Noah. I appreciated the author’s authentic and realistic way of portraying both of those situations gracefully. I won’t spoil any of the ending by saying more!
**I received an advanced copy of the book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review.**
I loved this story and wasn't ready for it to end! Shannon has always lived life out of the spotlight and will go with the flow and do her part to keep the peace. However, as Marshall pointed out she doesn't exactly blend in though. Shannon is used to her sister Quinn getting what she wants and it appears that she is once again when she finds out she has brought Marshall home with her. Although, Shannon is the main character and this is her story, other characters are focused on a lot as well, including Quinn and Jenna. I smiled, cringed, laughed out loud, cried, really felt so many emotions throughout this book alongside the characters as Lindsay does such a great job at bringing them to life. After reading this series I truly feel like I know the people of Walker Beach and am a honorary member of the Baker family! I am so looking forward to another visit to Walker Beach in Lindsay's next series to come!
The characters are really well done and seem like real people. Sisters Shannon and Quinn show quite a bit of growth in just a week of story-time. Teary, heart-wrenching growth... that actually mends the rift between them. Marshall has his own growth to experience.
All-in-all, it's good family-centered drama and a HEA.
Shannon Baker has never been one to be the center of attention, but when she meets the handsome Marshall St. John, Shannon begins to feel different. One problem though. He’s her sister Quinn’s boyfriend. As they work together to prepare for the Baker family reunion and upcoming wedding, feelings will soon blossom. Will they end up together or will it all come crashing down? This book reminded me of the movie 27 dresses minus all the dresses. It was a cute love story and in a way I related to Shannon Baker with not liking to be in the spotlight and she loves her friends and family fiercely. In this book you’ll see just how much she does.
I graciously received an advance e-copy from Bookfunnel for review. All opinions are my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed each one of these Walker Beach romance books. This one is equally fun, and funny. Romantic, and yet has some deep issues that make you think. Lindsay Harrel has managed to give us an entire series with delightful characters in a lovely setting.

I definitely relate more to Shannon's personality in this book. Shy, peacemaker, unsure of her own worth. It takes incredible courage to learn and realize that you are enough. That love is enough. And as both Shannon and Marshall work through their own past hurts to realize their own value, both in their own eyes as well as each other's, can they discover true happiness?
Let the power of love and the power of forgiveness envelop you as you read this book. And remember that you are enough.

Shannon Baker finally has something coming together for her own life. One of her preschool student has been placed into foster care, and she wants to adopt him and give him the home he deserves. She's going through the process of meeting with all the right people while taking over planning for the Baker family reunion. Life has never been busier. And she's never felt more overlooked, especially with her big sister Quinn's return from the Big Apple.
Marshall St. John wants to snag the upcoming promotion at his job, and Quinn Baker promised to put in a good word for him under one condition: that he accompany her to Walker Beach and pose as her boyfriend during their family reunion. It shouldn't be too much of a problem, right? Except on his first day in California, Quinn's sweet and beautiful sister captures his attention. How can no one see what a treasure Shannon Baker is?
Shannon has never been drawn to anyone the way she is to Marshall. But how can that even be possible? He's Quinn's boyfriend. And Quinn always gets exactly what she wants. Shannon is the one who would rather be in the background. And she'd never, ever try to steal Marshall away. But what can she do when he starts paying attention to her? And when he confides his true relationship with Quinn, it still doesn't change anything. If they act on their feelings, everyone will think she's making moves on her sister's boyfriend.
I related to Shannon quite a bit in this story. Like Shannon, I'm a "glue" person who tends to keep things together rather than step into the spotlight, and it's easier for me to help others than pursue my own dreams. I loved the part where Shannon's cousin gives it to her straight: "...You don't need to be a mom or a girlfriend or anything but who you are to have an amazing impact on this town and all the people who love you... simply because you're you." That's a truth that some of us single girls need to hear regularly!
This book had a lot of complicated emotions and storylines, and it's my favorite of the author's Walker Beach series. If you enjoy sweet, clean romances, make sure to check these out!
Note: This story was written for the general market, and I truly missed the faith aspect. It would have worked so, so beautifully here. Lindsay has written some of my favorite womens fiction over the past few years, including The Secrets of Paper and Ink and The Joy of Falling. If you are enjoying the Walker Beach series, please don't miss these!
I received my copy of the book from the author. All thoughts in this review are my own.
When you grow up in a large family in a small town, it can feel like both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing because there is always someone around to care for you when you have a crisis. It is a curse when you mess up (in a big or small way) and they all find out because you fill like you have let each of them down. This is the life of Shannon Baker. Plus she has always lived in the shadow of her older sister, Quinn. Quinn is the outgoing, overachiever and Shannon is the quiet, behind the scenes type that makes sure everyone else looks good, gets the credit as well as being the peacemaker in every situation.
While on the beach one day, Shannon finally meets an interesting man. She is never one to just talk to strangers but there is just something different about this man. Even though they only have a brief conversation, she feels as though he really does understand her heart in a way no one else ever has. Imagine their shared surprise when they are introduced later on and Shannon discovers Marshall is Quinn’s boyfriend! Shannon feels betrayed but he never said he wasn’t involved with anyone. Only Marshall is guarding a secret ... he and Quinn aren’t really together. They’re co-workers and her boyfriend bailed and he’s filling in so she’ll recommend him for a promotion.
Author Lindsay Harrel writes a compelling end to this story. The Baker Family is all together for the 4th of July Celebration and they celebrate for days with all kinds of activities, competitions and meals. Harrel never runs out of great ideas for interesting situations to put her characters in and let the readers really see inside them. What we discover may sometime surprise us. One thing we do learn in this book, love is all you need. This was another great read by Harrel!
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
Shannon is used to fading into the background. But when she connects with a random stranger she talks to for awhile on the beach, she wonders if maybe letting someone into her life could be a good thing. Until she discovers he is dating her sister, or so it would seem. Can she discover the truth? Can she handle it if her life veers a different direction than she had planned?
Book 4 in the Walker Beach Romance series does feature a new character as well as Shannon a familiar favorite. But many members of the Walker family return to be a part of the story again. I really enjoy how connected this series has been. And I think that their family reunions sound epic. (While I love seeing my family, I can't imagine how much work it would take to accomplish all of their annual events!) This book helps us to see the motivation behind several of the characters again.
Parts of this book was a bit predictable which actually is a good thing. If a romance did not result between the two main characters, that would be disappointing. Yet there were several surprises along the way as well. I am trying not to add too many details because there could definitely be some spoilers that I could accidentally reveal.
The author implies that there will be another connected series that will be coming. I am very glad about that fact because I want to continue to know about these characters. Plus there are several more stories that seem to be waiting to be written.
I did get an advanced copy of this book from the author. I wanted to write a review. All opinions are my own!
The fourth installment in the Walker Beach series relates Shannon Baker's story and is best read after the first three books.
Shannon longs for someone to love, but she has not found a man who is interested in her. When she gets the opportunity to possibly adopt a small, precious boy whose mother has seemingly abandoned him, Shannon jumps at the chance to have someone to care for. She enjoys her time with him and patiently goes through the application process, even though she may not be approved. One day when she is on the beach, she meets an attractive man named Marshall and immediately becomes interested in him. Unfortunately, Shannon believes that he is dating her sister, when he is actually single. They are only pretending to date for the family events, so Shannon is astonished when Marshall continues to show interest. Will Shannon be able to overcome her circumstances and find true love?
I enjoyed this book just as much as the previous Walker Beach stories. It was easy for me to identify with Shannon and her loneliness, as well as her desire to care for those around her. As with the other books in the series, the setting was beautifully described and the characters were realistic. Marshall's character was swoon worthy, and the love in Shannon's family was sweetly sincere. I definitely recommend this book and the others in the series to anyone looking for a clean, heartfelt, and encouraging read.
I received a copy of this book from the author. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Have you ever felt invisible; like people didn’t see the real you? Well, that’s how Shannon saw the role in her large family. She was the one who gave and did things for everyone else, at the cost of her own happiness. Would she ever find happiness? This is another story of one of the Baker family members. I just love this family and the whole community of Walker Beach. I couldn’t put the book down because I was so invested in the lives of these characters. I truly enjoy reading books written by Lindsay Harrel. She brings such wonderful lessons to our hearts through her books. This story had many tender moments woven throughout. There were also times where my heart broke and I felt the emotional pain of the main character. To me, this is what makes a fantastic author. When a reader becomes so invested in the story they are reading, that they feel all that the characters are feeling. This book is a sweet tale of family relations, friendships, tender love, heart's desires, and a beautiful lesson of how God really does want to take our burdens, our dreams, and bless us more than we could imagine. This is a tale of reconciliation and standing up for what you believe in. It’s a story of finding a voice and a purpose. I highly recommend you read this book! It's a sweet story that will touch your heart! I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was the most cutest story of the Walker Beach series. I have had the pleasure of being able to read the stories and have loved every member of the Baker clan.
In this story is about Shannon and Marshall. Shannon the shy one of the clan but with amazing talents hidden because of being shy. Marshall a busy office guy hiding away in his work to keep away from happiness and love because of his family's past.
But in this story these two bring out the Real them and make each other believe in themselves even when their fear still holds them back. When her sister comes home with her "boyfriend" surprised Shannon and Marshall realize that they have met before. And in this story is the shy girl who brings out the sweetest love out from a guy that is running away from it. Full of fun, happy, surprising and sweet love, Shannon and Marshall story is one to enjoy.
But will lies, surprises, and stepping out of each comfort zone, help past hurts heal and open up to love? There is no easy way to describe how much this story was enjoyed without telling everything. All you need to do is grab a copy and enjoy the knit family the Baker clan is in a a wonderland of a place called Walker Beach. Where you can enjoy a pastry from the Frosted Cake Restaurant in the peaceful sand of the beach.
This is another great romance in the Walker Beach collection. I enjoyed Shannon's story because I could relate to her feelings of not being enough--not feeling like someone special. Marshall seems the perfect match for her from the beginning. He was able to make her feel loved and beautiful. I liked his character despite the deception. Shannon's sister Quinn made me angry at times, but I would love to know more of her story and see her character continue to grow and find true love.
The entire series will make perfect beach reads this summer! There is not a book in the series I didn't enjoy immensely. Lindsay Harrell has a way of creaing a story that captivates the reader and keeps you reading whether it is women's literature like her first books or romance like this series. I look forward to her next series. She has quickly become one of my favorite writers.
It was such fun to go back to Walker Beach again and visit the people there and feel the small-town atmosphere. All You Need Is Love features sweet, shy Shannon Baker who is so helpful and compassionate. When she meets charming and understanding Marshall, things spark between them—until she finds out he’s in Walker Beach with her sister Quinn.
This is a sweet, clean contemporary romance and book 4 in the Walker Beach Romance series. I enjoyed seeing many of the characters from the previous books in the series pop up in this one. I would recommend this to those who like clean and wholesome stories.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
This may be my favorite book yet in the Walker Beach Romance series!
Shannon is all too relatable; I see so much of myself in her, particularly in perfectionism, struggling to stand up for oneself, or conflict avoidance. And I immensely enjoyed Marshall's storyline in the business world! Also working the corporate life myself, I liked watching him grow and consider what he really wanted out of life, particularly given how significant personal-life events impacted him.
I received an eARC of the book from the author. All opinions are my own.
