Let’s go camping with the dinos! What light burns bright high in the sky in the night? “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, the Dinos Wonder What You Are” (Flowerpot Press) is a wonderful prehistoric board book that rewrites a classic nursery rhyme for a ground stomping good time. While the young dinosaurs sleep in the darkness, they’ll have a shining light to guide them. Written by Joe Fitzpatrick, this is a delightful bedtime book, especially for those little ones who can’t get enough of their dino pals. Artist John Joseph’s adorable and colorful illustrations with calming tones will immediately catch their eyes while you tuck them in for a peaceful night’s sleep.

What a beautiful and sad story about the end of the age of dinosaurs. The star is obviously the meteor that will be their demise. We can infer that it is a meteor by the description given, which compares the stars to "ptetadactyls in the sky", indicating that the star moves the way that ptetadactyls do. The line "tuck these dinos in tonight", clearly symbolizes the dinos' death. This is a powerful book but be prepared to cry at the end.

My husband had to be a jerk while I read this to our Littles... After the first line, he was like "it's a meteor" and then continued to interject lines like that through the whole book. lol
