Yoshino Kiritani - chàng trai với vẻ ngoài điển trai, trong mắt đồng nghiệp Yoshino luôn tài giỏi và chăm chỉ. Nhưng ở một khía cạnh khác, Yoshino lại tự ti với chính bản thân anh ấy - giấu giếm chuyện bản thân là gay - luôn muốn làm tình với một người đàn ông.
Cho đến một ngày, Yoshino quyết định vào một gay bar. Tại đó, Yoshino làm quen với Rou Nishijima - cậu sinh viên với mái tóc bạch kim.
Mình đã mong đợi quyển manga này từ lâu, cái bìa nhìn dễ thương xỉuuuuuu. Tác giả chọn một chủ đề hơi "người lớn" nên không phả ai cũng hợp mà đọc. Mình cũng chẳng phải ở tuổi của nhân vật Yoshino, nhưng mình cũng hiểu được nỗi lòng của anh ấy, nỗi cô đơn và lo sợ bản thân sẽ một mình trong cuộc sống này. Sắp bước sang tuổi ba mươi, Yoshino vẫn luôn khao khát một tình yêu.
Và má ơi!!!! Yoshino đẹp trai xỉuuuuuu!!! Mấy cái biểu cảm dễ thương chết đi được!!
Tuy nhiên vẫn phải nói là "thất vọng", bởi mình đã mong đợi quá nhiều... Tác giả tập trung rất nhiều vào nhân vật Yoshino, nét vẽ đẹp, nhưng vẫn có gì đó mình cảm thấy không thực sự "quá thích thú". Mình chỉ theo dõi nội tâm của Yoshino, chứ chuyện tình cảm giữa Yoshino và Rou không để lại cho mình ấn tượng nào cả.
Một câu chuyện dễ thương, hài hước, "người lớn", nhưng không quá sâu sắc.

The characters naiveté, the misunderstandings and miscommunication made this an exasperating experience. But it has the most natural and realistic sex scenes I've ever seen in a manga. Neither has a giant cock; and they're not dripping with sweat like they ran a marathon, just a normal amount; no one is crying from ecstasy or dripping with cum and saliva; and they're not going at it for hours in all kinds of impossible poses.

A bit rushed. At first, Seme was rude, but it's a good thing he reformed and looked after the Uke.
It's good to see MCs who were once hated by everyone eventually turn when they fall in love. ( love that trope)
However, as far as stories go, this one is sweet and well-written.

Yoshino has never had a relationship, or sex, at age 30, and he decides to do something about the latter. At the gay bar he visits he meets 21-year-old Rou, with whom he spends one night, and expects to never meet again, until fate (or the universe, or the mangaka) intervenes.

Okay, so. This is standard fare BL, but I really liked it. Suzumaru’s art is quite nice, and I really like Yoshino and Rou’s characters — Yoshino is like this sweet, kind, innocent guy who just wants love, and Rou is this younger brash a-hole who’s used to playing around and people asking to go out with him — not the other way around.
The misunderstandings seem more … hmmm, entertaining? Believable? For me to read about — I wasn’t frustrated reading the other chapters, just, “Oh no Yoshino, oh no ROU STOP TRYING TO BE COOL.”
It’s not until the fourth chapter that you begin to understand Rou and his youthful youthness, and why he’s being this way, primarily his MO for getting someone to date:
He’s used to always being the one pursued, instead of being the pursuer. He just encourages them. However Rou’s usual tricks/tactics don’t work on Yoshino, who’s more reserved and uncertain. They backfire — instead of encouraging Yoshino to reach out, they drive Yoshino away.
Like, because Rou is such a youth, he reads like he’s quite concerned about being the one to look cool — being pursued/the one in control, i.e. he has the final say on how the relationship goes. Whereas Yoshino doesn’t seem to care about being in control, he just wants a relationship, but he’s afraid to ask for it (especially since Rou gives such confusing signals, and probably the age gap is a factor? Although never explicitly mentioned).
Luckily, Rou has a friend, Sui, who is not afraid to call out Rou on his stupidity, and being like “Don’t wait for him to tell you! Tell him everything! Be desperate!” and I’m like Rou, you don’t deserve Sui. Sui has done so much for you, you don’t even know.
And of course, since BL, Rou manages to get his shit together, with Rou dramatically blocking a dude trying to pick up Yoshino in a club, and Yoshino finally being like WHAT IS YOUR EVER LOVING PROBLEM. Then they do confess to each other that they want to be boyfriends, and then HEA. I BELIEVE.

Realizing I've never written a small blurb/summary and I'm so vague in every review lol so I'm adding one now on my third read. This book follows Yoshino who is gay, thirty, and a virgin. He's never been in a relationship before, but on his 30th birthday he decides to finally take the jump and go to a gay bar for the first time in his life. There he meets Rou. He's flashy, young and charming. Yoshino is immediately drawn to him and after a night of drinks and chatting, Yoshino asks if Rou will have sex with him. It's a really sweet romance about two men who are both inexperienced in love in different ways.

This was cute! I love one shots/one volume stories, but the ones on futekiya are too short :( I feel like so many of the stories have so much potential and have the content to be longer. Like there’s so much more we could learn about the characters and see so much more growth in their relationship. But it was still a good story overall.

And another reread because I was absolutely ecstatic when my preorder came in. I feel that with every reread I love it more. Rou is such a little shit and I'm glad his friends are like you are the worst and you better fix yourself if you want a decent relationship. Then he did. There's something about the college student seme x office worker uke. I love it so much. I love Minta Suzumaru's art and writing. There's a lot of about this book that just works for me.

March sure was a good month for Minta Suzumaru, with two different books from two different publishers. I liked this one better than Golden Sparkle, mostly because the characters felt much more plausible, and the sweet twist was truly lovely.

A bit rushed, but altogether a cute (only a teensy bit of angst) and mildly spicy story with a twist at the end. The relationship felt realistic. The characters were good. The art style was gorgeous.

I am guessing that this is the first adult romance that Minta Suzumaru has done. It was pretty cute and the relationship felt really realistic. I think I might like her high school romance more than her adult ones. I wonder if an adult one can get a 5 star from me!

È molto carino e scorrevole, piacevole da leggere e con disegni adorabili. Mi è piaciuto un sacco come sono stati disegnati i personaggi e la delicatezza con cui sono state rappresentate alcune scene (soprattutto quelle più romantiche e sensuali). È una storia molto semplice ma che riesce comunque a conquistare il lettore. Yoshino è un impiegato di 30 anni che non ha mai avuto una relazione sentimentale. È consapevole della sua omosessualità ma non ha mai avuto modo di trovare una persona con cui poter sperimentare, con cui poter anche solo cercare un contatto più fisico e intimo. È il classico tipo che a tutto il mondo appare come l'uomo/il marito perfetto ma che sotto sotto... è un po' uno sfigatello. Il giorno di Natale (che coincide con il suo compleanno), scoraggiato dalla prospettiva di passare un'altra serata da solo a masturbarsi guardando porno gay, decide di fare una follia: recarsi in un bar gay. Dentro il bar attira subito le simpatie di Ro, uno studente universitario di 21 anni, bello come il sole e con dei meravigliosi capelli argentati. Ro si presenta in modo amichevole e in poco tempo colpisce nel profondo Yoshino al punto da spingerlo a chiedergli di passare la notte insieme. Ro contro ogni prospettiva accetta la "proposta indecente" e da lì... Inizia il caos più totale! I due ragazzi sono dei veri imbranati quando si parla di sentimenti e arrivare a un lieto fine... non sarà così semplice. Yoshino è attratto da Ro, è consapevole di provare qualcosa per quel giovane che con così tanta dolcezza lo ha fatto sentire protetto e desiderato per la prima volta in tutta la sua vita però.. è anche spaventato, convinto che per Ro sia stato solo un gioco, un momento da una botta e via. Non è abituato ad avere una relazione e quindi prende ogni parola, anche quella più scherzosa, fin troppo sul serio scoraggiandosi e deprimendosi inutilmente e in questa complicata situazione di certo non aiuta il fatto che Ro sia spesso scostante e con atteggiamenti ambigui. Ro è infatti combattuto dalla situazione in cui si è ritrovato intrappolato. Lui è abituato a essere ammirato per la sua bellezza, a essere desiderato dalle altre persone senza che queste abbiano mai provato a conoscerlo se non dal punto di vista fisico e sessuale ed è proprio da quella consapevolezza che ha deciso di difendersi. Ha deciso di far innamorare le persone di lui lasciando che alla fine fossero loro stesse a stancarsi del suo atteggiamento irritante. Ha continuato a comportarsi in modo ambiguo, alternando atteggiamenti dolci e protettivi ad altri decisamente più freddi e crudeli. Ro si è comportato così con la speranza di trovare una persona disposta a vedere oltre la sua maschera, a confessare il suo amore per lui nonostante tutti i suoi "difetti". Nonostante i momenti intimi e delicati passati con Yoshino decide di mantenere il suo solito atteggiamento. È consapevole dell'affetto e attrazione che ha iniziato a provare per quel timido impiegato ma è anche spaventato dalla sua possibile reazione una volta scoperta la verità. Non vuole rischiare di fare una figuraccia confessando i suoi sentimenti e così facendo, con quel suo modo di fare freddo e distaccato, rischia di rovinare tutto fin dall'inizio. Ho trovato realistici entrambi i personaggi. Due uomini pieni di difetti e che come tutti gli esseri umani si fanno trascinare dalle paure e insicurezze rischiando di soffocare un sentimento puro e sincero. Ho trovato carinissima la loro relazione e anche naturale le loro interazioni eppure... Fino alla fine ho sentito che mancava qualcosa. Purtroppo nonostante i mille pregi si sente un po' il peso della scelta della mangaka di raccontare la storia in un volume unico. La scelta di non creare almeno una duologia ha fatto in modo che molte parti venissero in qualche modo fin troppo riassunte o tagliate e alla fine la mancanza di una maggiore introspezione dei personaggi (soprattutto di Ro) si sente eccome! Non si capisce molto quali motivazioni hanno spinto Ro a scegliere Yoshino e innamorarsi di lui ad esempio, non si sa nulla della famiglia dei protagonisti, il loro innamoramento è molto immediato e mancano dei "passaggi" per seguire fino in fondo lo sviluppo dei sentimenti da parte di entrambi. Mi è sembrata un po' una commedia degli errori con i due che sono innamorati ma che sono così tonti da boicottarsi da soli per paura di essere feriti. Per quando carinissima la storia manca di spessore, di dettagli più importanti e di forte impatto ed è un vero peccato perchè si poteva fare di più, i personaggi sono caratterizzati molto bene e semplicemente adorabili fin dalla prima comparsa in scena e potevano con la giusta struttura della narrazione e una maggiore cura fare davvero la differenza. Un manga che insomma da una parte mi ha stregato per il suo stile e semplicità e dall'altra mi ha deluso perché poteva e meritava qualcosa in più. Mi sento di consigliarlo? Sicuramente si. È una storia molto carina e cosi adorabile che senza alcun dubbio saprà strapparvi un sorriso. Una lettura leggera e senza troppi drammi e che potrà intrattenervi durante questa calda estate.

È una storia molto carina e cosi adorabile che senza alcun dubbio saprà strapparvi un sorriso. Una lettura leggera e senza troppi drammi e che potrà intrattenervi durante questa calda estate.

Otra maravilla de Minta. Enamorada de esta historia de principio a fin. Minta se sale de los clichés, de los romances tóxicos y nos crea un precioso tomo único con una historia de amor muy interesante sobre dos personas que no se han enamorado nunca. Rou es mi nuevo Crush!!!!
