Whew the Anderson’s keep thing interesting.
Wow, can’t wait for next series with Eyes...... Smoke claimed he would never fall in love, he would remain a bachelor until he met Dr. Amira Ito. He fell hard and strong but she was not willing to date him. She believed he was a player. As time went on she realized she was making a big mistake. Smoke Romance her until she saw him, the smart, athletic, intelligent, funny give you the shirt off your back type of guy. Lol....yup all of that. Good story. More fun and adventurous things still going on with the drug ring they are trying to stop. Whew...

The author’s writing style is easygoing and makes these books a joy to read.

Fantastic series.
I really loved this book. It kept me on edge plus I loved the updates on prior characters. Loved how hard Smoke had to work on getting Amira to date him. I cried when Smoke gave his surprise to Amira. Happy that they got a very happy ever after and on edge about that ending. I highly recommend this book.

Smoked
I was looking forward to getting this story. It was perfect; it was as enjoyable as I hoped it would be. Smoke was really a good man with a vast bravado. The way the authors toned down his persona and still let him remain larger than life was nicely done. His relationship with the good doctor was also detailed in a very emotional way I did not expect. Overall, this was another very good read.

Another One Falls!! Tyrell (Smoke) and Anna’s story is romantic and sexy and will make you want a Smoke in your life too. I really enjoyed their story and thought their HEA was beyond beautiful. My favorite part though was the ending. I never saw it coming and can’t wait to see what happens next!!

Fantastic story
Wow, there is so much to say; what can I say about this fantastic couple. Tyrell, aka Smoke, is a dream of a man who has a heart of gold. He's not just an incredible Special Ops hero; Community advocate; he's a mamas' boy who takes pride in being the man she raised him to be. Amira is a pretty fabulous doctor, and her patients mean so much to her that she has created memory boards during their care. I genuinely love the other team members. The brotherhood they share is so darn laughable and sweet. Watching these big muscular guys fall so profoundly and lovingly with their women is excellent. Chapter 18/19 had my tears dropping. Now I must read Eyes; Sleep; Brackish; and Green's stories, as well as the Anderson's Series. Joseph and Katherine Anderson are true heroes themselves.

A perfect couple
This one was sweet, and again the story is moving forward, we get some more clues as to what is going on, and we have a few interesting adventures. It still has that fractured feeling, as we go from one point of view to another, and we skip some scenes as we go from one person to another. Overall I like where the main story is going, but I still resent that I feel like I'm missing pieces of the story, even if we do get the general idea.
I liked the main relationship, it felt real in that they both had their fears, and those were justified to an extent, but it also was very unlikely in that we have two very beautiful, very successful characters that feel a little over the top. I loved Shadow, he is a very over the top, but we got to see his human, humble side, and I just loved how sweet he is under all that ego he shows most of the time.

Just started reading the fifth book of the series. Wow! There is so much going on in each book and enjoying every bit of it. Joseph Anderson is wonderful interfering man. Trying to take take care of his family and friends. I like reading the updates of the families and extended families. Wish this story could go on and on.

Too many storylines
This book had an interesting topic but it was not cohesive in its points. It was jumping to too many topics that had nothing to do with the main characters. I was disappointed to say the least.

Great read
I felt like the author was just sitting and chatting with me. Loved the characters and the storyline. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good
read...especially the ex military portrayals and hot steamy portrayals of relationships.

Enjoyable!
I enjoyed reading this book. The characters are engaging and amazing the connection is undeniable throughout the pages. The storyline flowed easily throughout the pages. A must read!

This another good book by Melody. The characters are well developed, interesting and engaging. Smoke is very likable character. He reminds of a big brother. I look forward to reading the last book in this series.

Never a dull moment

Tyrell Rice, known as Smoke to his military contacts, has vowed that he will not fall like his teammates. He thinks he has everything under control until he lays eyes on Katherine Anderson's personal doctor Amira Ito. Smoke is used to getting any woman he wants. But Amira will make him work for her attention. Amira tries to pretend that Smoke does not affect her. But she is fooling herself. These two will set things on fire. Watching these two strong personalities interact with each other was most enjoyable. Smoke is always so sure of himself but Amira will have him frustrated in trying to figure out how to make things solid between them. Amira wants to be with Smoke but is resisting because she is used to always being on her own without anyone putting her first.
I love when Smoke's mom, Laysha Rice, came to visit. She shows how much she loves her "Boo". She is there giving him the encouragement and sage advise he needs. This story will show the softer and romantic side of Smoke.
And of course Joseph Anderson will be there as usual, bigger than life. Even though he is determined with the help of his Special Ops team to bring down the drug cartel that has invaded his city, he still has time to play matchmaker.

The Anderson Epic continues
The Anderson Clan is not the main focus of this story. However, the action, excitement and romance that fills the book certainly revolves around the Anderson's, but it's primarily the special ops team of top retired military men that the Anderson's have bankrolled to clean up the drug crime in Seattle that pulls this together. Although the mission of the team to topple crime lords is fascinating there are also storylines from the previous Special Ops novels and hints at what will come next. These stories keep this book fast paced and interesting. The romance between Smoke (top operator Tyrell Rice) and Amira Ito ( reknown neurologist) is lovely. Tyrell (who'd have thought the magnificent specimen of an alpha male was a momma's boy?) never expected to meet a woman that was his perfect match. But with Amira, he has. His efforts to woo her and win her prove he's not as practiced in long term romantic wiles as he thinks. Amira also believes she's not meant to meet her soulmate. Fortunately, a new matchmaker has entered our saga, and no it's not Joseph. Lots of entertaining action, hints of sadness, unexpected twists and true love make this a great read.

Well, again it is hard to write a review as there is so much happening it's hard to know where to begin or end. Smoke is the next to fall under the spell of a beautiful woman who just happens to be Katherine's doctor. Sadly for Smoke she isn't really interested. Smoke gets a visit from his out of state mom and just maybe a bit of meddling could help the situation.
The team thinks they have finally discovered Damien's part in the whole drug world, but when they find who set him up they are all shocked.
Senator Miller has ended up in jail awaiting her trial for her involvement in many areas of the underworld. It truly is driving her over the edge but she believes she'll be released and still become the next President of the United States.
Another arm of the Seattle drug world is brought down and almost ends the life of one of the team.
In between all of this action Chad arranges a different kind of Olympic game challenge for the team, including himself.
Oh, and two weddings take place. Overall, a great read with a wild cliffhanger to make you anxious for the ?final? book.

disappointing
I was looking forward to Smoke’s story but this book went on forever with nothing interesting happening. The only interesting thing happens in the epilogue.
Smoke is just too perfect, almost super human. He grew up poor in DC. Raised by a single mother that worked 3 jobs to support them. He earned many athletic scholarships and academic scholarships to college. Then gets recruited to the NFL where he is rookie of the year. Then an injury to his wrist and his football career his second season. After that he joins the military and winds up in an elite special ops unit. Not sure how a wrist injury keeps him from catching a football but doesn’t affect his ability to shoot a weapon.
Amira is just as perfect but for some reason feels insecure. Apparently because she is so beautiful people don’t think she can be smart too.
Other than reading how incredibly super human these characters are this book seemed to be about one amazing date after another.

I love so many things about this story. First it's about Smoke who is just all that! The humor between the guys is off the charts again. I just love their banter! The Olympics they had against each other was fantastic. Joseph and Katherines love is just the best. The part about her mind failing just breaks my heart. Yes I got emotional when I read that part. His attitude is priceless. this series is such a great compliment to the who Anderson series. I wish there was a Joseph in my life. The wedding of Sherman and Bobbi was another emotional and touching event. But the part that got to me the most was the scene where Smoke is given an award. Take the time to read this series its great. This book was really a fantastic one to read.

In the forth book in the Black Ops series Smoke falls for Amira and tries to convince her to give him a chance. Amira is not ready to settle down yet, so it takes some convincing (okay not that much). Add to this the team is fighting the big time drug dealers and participating in a fun, winner takes all completion, which makes the book a great read.
The characters have been introduced in the first three books, and the team is just as competitive and fun to read about. The Anderson family is the same as always, but Katherine is suffering some health issues which takes away a bit of the enjoyment of reading about the Andersons for me. But that doesn't mean I'll give up on them.

Oh how I loved this book Melody Anne! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Reading this story of Smoke aka Terrell Rice and Amira Ito was such a joy! Of course Smoke is one of the Special Ops people brought in by Joseph Anderson to get rid of the drug problems in the Seattle area. Amira is a Neurologist who works with Alzheimer's patients. Once Smoke met Amira, there was no way he was not going to date her! They both have a lot of baggage, but once they finally go out together, even though Amira tries to fight it, you just know they have to be together! Read this story, with the ups and downs, to get to their fiery chemistry! You'll cheer for them have a happily ever after! I highly recommend this book! I absolutely loved it, I couldn't put it down! I promise you'll love it!
