Sisters of Edgartown #3

37 Peases Point Way

Rate this book
Amelia Taylor gave everything to her career. At forty-one, it’s too late for love, for laughter, for children. At least, that’s what she thinks.
Amelia finds herself in the midst of chaos. Throughout the previous two decades, everyone from her family to her dearest friends has put complete trust in her. If anyone can do it, Amelia can. She’s the perfect godmother (or, more like stand-in mother) to her niece and nephew; she’s the perfect employee for Martha’s Vineyard’s business bureau; and she’ll do anything for her sisters. But the second she loosens up and gives in to the allure of a one-night stand — everything changes her life forever. And as though the cosmos themselves have a different story up their sleeves, her niece, Mandy, gets some surprising news of her own. But blessings come in strange packages. Amelia and the other Sisters of Edgartown know this better than most. As they grapple with divorce, new loves, constant changes, deaths, and new lives — they know they’ll continually have one another. It’s a new season in their lives, and they’ll embrace it like they’ve done everything with generosity, love, plenty of laughter, and hope.
This is book three of the Sisters of Edgartown a new women’s fiction series that contains a heartwarming journey of friendship, loss, and love, and one that will make you fall in love with the people of Edgartown and want the next book. For fans of Pamela Kelley, Caroline Brown, and Debbie Macomber.

37 Pease Point Way is book 3 in the Sisters of Edgartown series by Katie Winters as we continue the story of the 5 remaining girls (aka Sisters).

This book is about Amelia Taylor, single, workaholic who lives for her job, is helping her brother raise his children, and is always there for whoever needs her. She hasn’t dated much in the last two decades but now at 41 decides maybe it’s time to put herself out there. When she has a minor fender bender she meets a very attractive man and he tickles her fancy and they have a one night stand, little does she know her life is about to change on so many levels…

Amelia is then told to take a leave of absence from her job because she dared to challenge a new investor that wants to build on Martha’s Vineyard, her 18-year-old niece finds out she is pregnant, and that is just the beginning. Lots of turmoil, investor problems, family issues and when she gets an unexpected surprise, her “sisters” are there to offer whatever support she needs to move forward.

37 Peases Pointe Way: Sisters of Edgartown Book 4 is by Katie Winters. This series is about a group of young girls who have known each other since Pre-K and have each other’s backs. They are known as the Sisters of Edgartown. This book is about Amelia Taylor.
Amelia Taylor was a hardworking young lady. She practically ran the Zoning office of Edgartown, although Zane was technically the boss. She worked very long hours on her job and was very conscientious about it. She loved what she was doing. In addition, she stood in the place of her brother’s wife as a temporary mother to his children, Mandy and Jake. She went to every event they had, kept them when her brother had to travel, and did everything possible for them. It was her choice to step in when Suzy left and she did it willingly. She was so busy that she hadn’t found time to fall in love and have her own family. Sometimes it bothered her and other times, her niece and nephew sufficed. Today was no different.
Headed to a full day of meetings, a car pulled out of a side street and hit her car. That wasn’t what she needed; but she pulled into a nearby parking lot and exchanged information with the other driver. He had hit her right front and knocked the headlight out. The only damage on his car was the headlight too. They decided to work it out on their own and exchanged names as well. She amazed herself when she was attracted to this handsome man. She then went on to Mandy’s cheerleading competition. It was her last one at this school as she was a senior. Mandy was very nervous. When her team performed, the girls threw her up wrong and she couldn’t get into position to land correctly and landed on her arm. Immediately, Amelia was down on the floor checking on her. Luckily Mandy was OK and didn’t need the hospital.
As she was going home from Daniel’s, she got a phone call from the gentleman who ran into her car. He invited her to dinner as he was leaving town the next morning and didn’t want to eat alone. She agreed and went to met him. One thing led to another and she ended up spending the night with him. This was something totally out of character for her. But, what could it hurt, they were both consenting adults.

This book in the Sisters of Edgartown series is Amelia’s story. Work driven, Amelia has devoted her life to her work, protecting Martha’s Vineyard and helping care for her niece Mandy, and nephew Jake, after their mom left the family.

An early morning fender bender opens Amelia’s eyes to begin dating again. Even though her life has been So busy it seems motherhood and love has passed her by. Unexpected family issues for Mandy force the relationship with Amelia to be even closer as the pair share secrets.

What happens when Amelia is forced to pair up with rich hotel builder Oliver Krispin who champions her work to her boss.

I can’t wait to see what happens next with the sisterhood in town

Thank you to the author for an ARC. This is my honest review

Another book in the Sisters of Edgartown - Amelia's story. I really liked learning a bit more about her and seeing how her family really influenced her into being someone who worked all of the time. But you see her motherly instincts win out with her niece and just hope that something good happens for her. Oliver starts out being a jerk but there is just something loveable about him. I wish that the story didn't end so soon - and I'm hoping that there is more to Amelia's story in the next book. No spoilers here but being a 40 year old mom - would love to see more about these women and their kids!

I love Katie Winters books! The Sisters of Edgartown is a wonderful series. This book focuses on Amelia. She is forty and unmarried with no children. She spends countless hours a week at work and the rest with her teenage niece and nephew whose mother left them when they were young and so Amelia has been a surrogate mother and helped her brother raise them. Is there any hope that Amelia, at age forty, can actually get a family of her own and have a life? I didn’t find Amelia to be an easily liked character. It took me a while but I finally began to understand her and then liked her better.

In this third of the Sisters of Edgartown, the focus is on workaholic Amelia Taylor. She's a mother figure to her brother's children, the perfect hardworking employee, and a self-sacrificing individual who never puts herself first. With the encouragement of her "sisters", she goes out of her comfort zone with surprising repercussions. What rises to the surface is the difference between "giving" people and those who are users. Also, how we first perceive someone isn't always the real vision. As usual, Katie Winters deftly tells the story of a woman, her family and supporting friends.

Be still my heart...Lordy, what an amazing read! Katie Winters certainly knows how to spin the most magical tale. Grab your tissues as this book is pure heart-stopping emotion...the storyline is truly amazing; the characters absolutely so real; the plot twists and turns touch you at every turn; and the achingly long journey to the HEA is totally realistic. These characters become real as you turn the pages. I literally could not put this book down! I was mesmerized at every line...you definitely need to add this one to your TBR list today!! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was totally blown away by it!)❤️❤️❤️

Just finished reading 37 Peases Point Way. I absolutely loved Amelia's story. I know through the first book she was always supportive and happy for her sisters, but you could tell at times she missed something. In this book we see into Amelia's life. She stood by her brother and his children. She was a workaholic, but loved helping others. She is fi ally blesssed with the one thing she longed for, but really at the end got both things she always wanted. Loved this book. Can't wait to start the next book, 113 Katama Rd.and read Camilla's story.

Another great story! This is Amelia’s story, @ 41 she has all she thought she wanted, a great career! She’s helping raise her niece & nephew, which covers her motherly wants.

But when everything turns upside down, the Sisters of Edgerton always come together to get through a crisis.

Can’t wait to see how the rest of the story works out!

Great job Katie, you’ve once again left me wanting more!

Love getting to know each Edgartown Sister up close and personal! Amelia’s story is a beautiful story. It shows Amelia’s love for family and her mother’s influence on her life. It shows that everything does not need to stay status quo! It is about finding your place in life in the end! It is never too late! I think we all need a group of sisters like the Edgartown Sisters!

The characters are enjoyable and each book highlights one of the "sisters" but includes them all. The books definitely need to be read in order. The storylines are relatively light, nothing dark in them. Will be reading the next two for sure!

Pretty good book. Shorter than the other two I think but I don’t have much to say on this book. Amelia’s story doesn’t have a in-depth plot in my opinion. It feel pretty straightforward with not much suspense to it. But again pretty solid so far in the series

Continuation of The Sisters of Edgartown, brings us into the life of Amelia. She works hard, helps raise her brother’s kids, but where is her love? Will she find that special someone and look for some surprises. I really love the “sisters” and how supportive they are of each other. Look forward to the next adventure. I received this arc for an honest review.
