First time reading a book fully written in the boy's point of view, except for the girl's special chapter as the epilogue. I just wish that we got more of the jgirl's thinking through her point of view. Though it's kinda exciting now to think about her own version, IF there will be one in the future. It will still rely on the author's decisions, and I respect [love] whatever she writes.

In reading the early chapters, the girl lead would not be introduced as the partner instantly. Naturally readers would try to guess among them who the jgirl of the story is. For the new readers, you won't have to worry about thinking of the wrong lead, you'll get it once u get it, just follow the flow of the story and watch out for spoilers in the comments, or in other social media platforms. Josiah's character is someone who's willing to work to get what he wants but can also be fickle and quite playful; expect him to have relationships/entanglements with other women in the starting chapters. People learn from their mistakes, if you get irritated by Joss, remember that he'll eventually get his character development.

This book was easier for me to digest and understand than the previous mseries installments, it didn't have much romantic or kilig scenes between the leads at first, but it's worth the wait, I'm not kidding you. Isipin mo na lang na forda suspense yung pov ng jgirl lol. The plot sparked a lot of discussions; everyone was given a chance to improve their unfair views by speaking their opinions and learning along the way. This book showed how mentally exhausting gossiping can be to the subject of its hurtful effects, how unreasonable one could get just to fulfill their selfish desires, and how easy people could turn their backs against another just to save their own faces.

The story was clear about its intentions and also the development of the lead's love story. Their relationship took a lot compromising, hidden feelings, and forgotten promises. And their bond is very much like two boxes almost bursting out open with how much were kept inside, it was only a matter of time before they crossed paths again; where both the owners of the box would willingly open it by themselves, finally revealing something each didn't expect. Ahhh I must love them too much to get to this point.

However, it was a bit sad to see other readers deny the natural flow of the story causing a lot of fanwars which frustrated me. Pushing your delusions no matter how many times the author already made everything clear, was it even worth it? All the unnecessary hate the writer received was too much for one person to endure. Kudos to the writer, Jonaxx, who remained firm with the vision she had in mind for her OWN story, right from the very start.

Dancing on the line of a dangerous love
You could break me overnight
But there's no one like us
Insatiably insane
Equally exchanged

Dancing in the light
Of a canyon sun
Racing every wave
Going North on the one
The promises we make
I still haven't changed

Baby, come back
I know my way around your heart
Don't start thinking
Things have kinda changed
They're different from what they are
You know better
That nothing is better than what we felt together at home
You can find me
Back in California and sleeping with all the lights on
Won't you come and turn them out
Come and turn them out
Come and turn them out
Come and turn them out

Making more than love on the West side of town
You could draw a line from the top to the ground
I'm selfless drunk on you
What more could I do

Throw it all away cause you do what you want
You took a little time, let 'em talk to you too much
Good girls don't exist
But I expected more than this

Baby, come back
I know my way around your heart
Don't start thinking
Things have kinda changed
They're different from what they are
You know better
That nothing is better than what we felt together at home
You can find me
Back in California and sleeping with all the lights on
Won't you come and turn them out
Come and turn them out
Come and turn them out
Come and turn them out

Oooooh [x4]

Baby, come back
I know my way around your heart
Don't start thinking
Things have kinda changed
They're different from what they are
You know better
That nothing is better than what we felt together at home
You can find me
Back in California and sleeping with all the lights on

mapple really had the potential to be a great character. mapple and rei would've had a great friendship if only it wasn't ruined just because of a man.

it's great that the author wanted to discuss a heavy topic (how a scandal ruin women). but not every author is really deserving to discuss something like this.

we all know that a scandal ruins a woman's reputation more than the man. that's how double standards and misogyny works. but if you're going to discuss that and make your readers realize something like this, you should do it in the right way.

you shouldn't be showing misogyny towards an extra female character while also discussing how misogyny is bad.

if we really wanna promote women empowerment, we should start by stop pitting women against each other (specially just bcs of a man). we should stop showing the readers that every female character is "malandi" just bcs they're interested in the male lead.

because this is what you teach your readers instead of the actual supposed lesson of the story. you teach them to be misogynist towards random female characters other than to actually teach them to fight misogyny.

i'm only rating this 1 star because of that extra female character. she's literally the only one who made impact in this story.

I'm having mixed opinions and emotions towards TFA right now. I have to stop first to gather my thoughts after finishing it because I honestly don't think I can move on easily from this story.

I love how Jonaxx managed to fill the story with so much chemistry to the point na umpisa palang, kinikilig na ako. She's good in words, you have to give her that. Hindi ako nahirapang kumonnect sa story, I just found myself on Chapter 16 when the last time I checked nasa Chapter 2 palang ako, that's how engrossed I am. There's also something about Josiah's narration that amazes me. It felt so... real. I mean, I know I read a lot of stories in guy's POV but what makes TFA stand out for me is I felt like Josiah is beside me, talking. It feel so real and natural, hindi mukhang pilit yung pagkakasulat. And I like it cuz ofc I'm a girl and I felt like I just had a front seat in a guy's (or let's say...an a**hole's) mind. With that being said, I have to commend Jonaxx for writing TFA, we're used in her stories in heroine's POV but TFA is still effectively written even though this time, it's in the Guy's POV.

Though I wouldn't say that Josiah's my fave. He's flawed, I hope everyone realized this. Tho all the more reasons to say that TFA is so naturally written.

But most of all, the message and the lesson of the story. It's so timely, the unfairness of society and the stigma towards women. I'm so happy someone acknowleged this. The conflict of the story is Rei's scandal, I just wish that it's more discussed in the story. I mean I know, I get it, si Rei ang naka-experience and TFA is in Josiah's POV, walang pagkakataon para ipakita. That's why I think it is necessary na magkaroon ng book in Rei's POV, the leasson of the story is too important, nakulangan ako sa takbo ng story on that part. Also, I have some questions after reading it, like what happened to the other characters? Bitin nga, Jonaxx said it herself. Anw, aantayin ko yung book in Reniella's POV cuz I think it's safe to say na I'm not satisfied yet. Maganda, pero kulang.

it was not bad but the characters does not have consistent characteristics especially the scene where mapple squashed the male lead’s face using a flower (?¿)... it was out of character like it doesn’t make sense. i love rei! despite having to face so much shit on an early age, nakaya niya and i adore her for that. i also feel like the author’s pushing too hard for josiah’s non-existent character development. all in all, it was a decent read. good job 👍🏻

forgot to add na, the issue was poorly written. nagustuhan ko ‘yong fact na jonaxx is trying to speak up about the stigma and discrimination against women in today’s society but then it was not discussed properly parang ginamit lang siya sa plot, kumbaga inopen yung topic pero they never talked about it, or na-close man lang nang maayos. (no hate since i am seeing some people attacking reviewers na nagbibigay ng konting stars!)

So far this book irk me. Haha, I love Josia though but until now I can't get to like his FL. Sorry. But this book was really written well because this cause a lot of discussion. Meaning, the author really knows how to target her readers specially in giving them a rollercoaster emotion.

i am ashamed of thinking that this was really a shallow story because of all the hate and fights that i've read while it was ongoing, because TFA definitely exceeded my expectation. i want to say that this has easily became my favorite jonaxx story, and JossRei being my favorite jonaxx couple so far. why? here.

indeed, jos was an asshole at the first half of the story. how he treats girls and jumps from one relationship to another without thinking of the consequences. okay, let's say that's really a red flag. BUT, he changed. and no, not because someone changed or fix him or whatever cliche it is, he changed because he realized his mistake, he admitted and acknowledge them. he learned his lesson, and i could confidently say that he WASN'T the same red flag asshole Josiah Montefalco that he was in their high school days after years. does this mean he's perfect now? no. but, the red flag i think, became green flag. his willingness to wait for Rei? how he respects her so much as a woman? how he uplifted her spirit? kung paano niya pinagtanggol si rei? kung paano niya tinulungan si rei na makita ang self-worth niya kahit pa sa mga nangyari? man, i love him so much. i love that he's not possessive and he knows his space and when not to cross the line. i'll admit that one thing that i don't like about some jboys is how possessive they are, tapos no'ng mabasa ko si Joss. grabe. i could go on and on about all the things that i love with the matured Josiah Montekalbo-- i mean, Montefalco.

and then, there's the other star of the show, Reniella Villondo. i love her as much as i love Jos. grabe 'yong mga pinagdaanan niya. lahat nang paghihirap dahil lang sa isang walang kwentang lalaki. she deserves the world after what that asshole did to her and i am so so delighted that she found someone she truly deserves. also, i want to say that jonaxx such an amazing job of portraying the struggle of women in this society that favors men.

nakakalungkot na hindi 'yong conflict sa nangyari kay Rei ang nabigyan nang atensyon sa storyang ito. i am so saddened all the team fights, bardagulan and theories overshadowed that lesson that jonaxx really wanted to convey-- which are the things that Rei suffered because of that one unconsented video. pinakita kung gaano kahirap at kasakit 'yong sitwasyong 'yon. na habang pinagtatawanan at kinukutya ka ng mundo sa isang video na hindi mo naman ginustong ipakita, unti-unti kang nasisira. AT KUNG PAANO KAHIT NA IKAW ANG BIKTIMA, DAHIL BABAE KA, MALI KA. KASALANAN MO, dahil babae ka. pinandidirihan ka. 'yong lalaking tunay na may sala? they were called legends for doing it to her. they were praised for being good in bed. while woman will be shamed for doing it. they'll be called names, their names will be besmirched. what's more frustrating ? PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH. THEY WILL NEVER LISTEN BECAUSE THEIR PREJUDICE WILL GET THE BEST OF THEM. ako yung nasasaktan kay rei dahil tama siya, alam niyang kahit pa manalo siya sa korte, hindi mapapalitin ang tingin ng mga tao sa kaniya. and that is the reality. whether you like it or not.

grabe, i love how jonaxx also showed how this affected rei's life so much. mula sa mindset hanggang sa pag-uugali, kung paano mo tratuhin ang tao at kung paano mo tingnan ang mundo. maraming nag-iba. hindi mawawala 'yong sakit at ang bulungan ilang taon man ang lumipas.

pero, katulad nang sinabi ng lola ni Rei, darating din 'yong panahon na makakahanap siya ng mga taong tunay na magmamahal sa kaniya. those people that will not see her merely because of her past. those people that will truly treasure her whatever and whoever she is. and no, it's not just Josiah. and i am so so so happy that she was able to overcome all those things, that in the end, she realized her real worth and her value. i'm glad that she stopped defining herself because of her past.

is it a perfect story? no. there are things that also frustrated me, like all the misunderstanding and fights at the first half. i think there are still so much more space for improvement. nonetheless, i still love it. and i definitely recommend it to everyone. i'm so glad that i found this gem haha. i had so much great time reading it. for real.

and to those people that said it was a shallow story: pareho ba tayo ng binasa?

i don’t get the hate kay mapple. honestly, deserve ni jos yung ginawa sa kanya. pov pa lang niya, obvious na may feelings siya kay rei. if naging sila in the end, for sure magche-cheat emotionally si jos kaya i don’t get it when people believe he was really serious kay mapple. ang pangit din ng ugali ng mga pinsan niya (except for clau & chanel). super off ng mga remarks, especially kay Erin. GIRLL, i hate her sm. sobrang misogynistic niya tapos babae pa naman. nagtaka pa siya ba’t nabasted kuya niya kahit na alam naman niyang ‘di marunong magseryoso ang kuya niya. sobrang hypocrite lang. ang pangit din ng mga mindset nung iba niyang pinsan. magpinsan talaga lol. sobrang off talaga nung mga remarks insinuating na nasa loob ang kulo ng mga babaeng mahinhin. this internalized misogynistic comment made people hate mapple. even si rei, you could tell she’s not a girls’ girl. alam niyang mahiyain at medyo inosente si mapple kaya natural, as a friend na alam din ang reputation ni jos, hindi mo sila irereto. i still believe mapple’s a victim kasi if you see it sa pov niya, first time niya pa lang sa ganun tapos sinasabihan pa siya na hindi naman seryoso si jos sa kanya, with proofs ng convos. tapos malalaman pa niya in the end, magkakatuluyan lang din pala yung friend na nangreto sa kanya tsaka yung nanligaw sa kanya. mas na-confirm lang din niya na ‘di naman pala seryoso si jos sa kanya. had to pause once in while habang nagbabasa kasi naiirita talaga ako that i almost dnf lol. but anyway, rei didn’t deserve for that video to be posted. nung nabasa ko ang wakas, mas bumalik lang galit ko kay jos. i mean, sure, he had a character development pero siya rason ba’t nagulo buhay nung dalawang babae.

This story is different from the other Jonaxx stories that I’ve read so far. It’s because it tackles a very sensitive topic that some readers may find uncomfortable. And I respect Jonaxx even more for being so brave by creating this story.

As usual, this story is again another swoon worthy read. I miss the Montefalco cousins so much and reading about them here really makes my heart so happy.

It may not be my most favorite of all Jonaxx stories, but this one is still a very enjoyable read.

Actually, I'm not a fan of Josiah even in Until trilogy but still, I want to learn on how he sees things in the trilogy and this book itself. I love how the story progressed at first. I love reading his POV in situations related to his cousins. Also, his character development is superb! From a womanizer to a studious type of guy, damn!

I just think that Mapple was a wasted character in this book. There's so much more she can offer in this story. I expected her to have a big role in the story with Rei. The gradual introduction and development of this girl was so good but then, in a snap, she was not mentioned anymore in the book. I hate her in the story but the potential of her to make a better plot for both MC was just put into waste. I think Jonaxx might have tackle her being manipulated by others more about her feelings.

The scandal of Rei is also one of the things I can't comprehend. It just happened without me realizing. It's like Jonaxx forced this thing in the plot. It's fine putting this but for the purpose of what? It was not discussed thoroughly on what really happened. If Jonaxx want to teach readers how most of us have double standards in this kind of stigma, on siding with guys and letting girls take the downfall, I think this book did not give any justice about this. And to think what Jonaxx did to Maple was also a hint of misogyny.

I also hate that the story is far too stretched out for a book with 50 chapters. First few chapters were fun but starting from the middle part of the story is kinda boring already.

Still, I love it due to the trilogy. The way it was written in male POV without me even noticing that the author is a woman while reading this one. I greatly enjoy the last 3 chapters. The laugh and fun it gave me. I love Montefalco cousins indeed.

dropped this story for no reason and now I finally had the courage to finish it and I seriously regret why I didnt finished the story right away.

I love everything about the story it tackles a very sensitive topic for me as it triggers some of my anxiety but through this book somehow it soothed my anxiety it gave me hope that regardless to what i have done in the past I’m still worthy to live beautiful life.

I love you rei you’re one of the strongest jgirl for me. you’re such a beautiful soul and the world doesn’t deserve you. but surely you and jossiah deserve each other.

I stiil cannot believe how fast time goes by I was just reading untill trilogy few years back and I can see how you changed to party boy to being studious and jump from one girl to another to being serious to rei lol. it really amazed me how you realized your mistakes from the past and my favorite realization of yours will prolly the ( they were not turning into monster but they were neglected) *not exactly*

but let’s admit it all we all miss the college montelacos where they party almost eveyrday. I cant help but to be senti right know i feel like I am one of the people who seen them growing through the years.

overall I love the story and the message it convey. special mention to the author (jonaxx) I really admire you thank you for making another master piece.

NO. PERIOD.

People were raving about this book as they could finally read this story, if I recall correctly. This story had been anticipated for many years. But after reading this book and several of the author's fictional works, all I could think was, "You better be joking?"

If I'm not mistaken, this was written and completed in the year 2020, although the plot seems to take place a century earlier. After reading a few of her novels, I was also left wondering why the author enjoys pairing together two women over an unworthy boy. This book had the potential to be better because it addressed a societal issue that her admirers boasted about, but it was also badly written, barely touched with, and appeared to be exploited only to create an apparent problem. Also, thanks. This author is obviously misogynistic because she enjoys crafting tales in which women battle it out for a boy. Why won't she simply stop talking and come up with another plot that doesn't make women go for the boy's dick?

PLEASE, IF YOU WANT TO READ THIS STORY, DON'T BE BLINDED. YOU HAVE TO WIDEN YOUR UNDERSTANDING. DO NOT BASE YOUR REACTIONS AND PERCEPTIONS JUST ON THE GIDDY FEELINGS. IM JUST SAVING YOUR TIME.

This book was THE BEST! I don't get how ppl hate this. The misogyny and women empowerment was written very well. In this book it was clearly written how a woman can also be misogynistic towards another woman, and how "woman empowerment" was abused by those kind of people.

What's more interesting was this book happened through the guy's POV.

This book was mistaken to be a love triangle trope but it's not.

The story revolved around the mcs Josiah Travis Montefalco and Reniella Villondo. Both of them are teenagers in high school, liberated, interested, wild and just a bunch of kids who wants to explore the world, and by world I mean, relationships and intercourse. However Rei the lead lady, dated a jerk, she was blackmailed and when she did not budge she woke up to people shaming her left and right, turns out her ex took a video of them without her consent and uploaded it online without her knowledge. And there it happened, siya ang may kasalanan, malandi, pabaya, easy girl and it did take a huge toll in her life.

I like Jonaxx's message with this book, about prejudices when it comes to dichotomy of what defines "purity" and "impurity" of a woman. Unfortunately, Josiah's character is the least suited for this controversial topic. Josiah's personality is the least impactful among the Montefalcos. His defining characteristics can be summed in three phrases: the shadow of Azi, brother of Erin, and guy who had too many girl friends. Because of this no matter who was the girl he's with (Mapple, Nadine, Rei, Rica, etc.), he lacks chemistry with them. The whole story was about his secret infatuation of Rei. The sole reason I read this is because of the bond of Montefalco cousins. This was probably the least romantic jonaxx book.

the most realistic book Jonaxx has ever inscribed.

Adore it! The writing is not lacking and also not excess. It's a story all of us can relate to. High school love, heartbreak, the immaturity of the characters, ill-judgment, then the development when adulthood hit them.

Jonaxx did justice to her characters since all of them had the chance to make amends. However, I'm wondering where did Mapple go. She also deserves an opportunity to get better.

Multiple issues were also dealt with that made me more aware. One of them is in society, people will always blame women. Disregarding the contribution of the other sex.

Read it! Lots of moments when you just kick your feet into the air in so much ecstasy hahaha.

Josiah Travis is the standard.

I am no longer used to reading through my phone but when Jonaxx published the last part of 𝙏𝙤 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣, I started reading again without a doubt. I finished this mostly in one sitting. It was a fun and painful read— an eye opener. This also tackles a sensitive topic which needs a deep understanding whilst reading this as the message may lie on the surface but it is much more beautiful and meaningful to be understood on its depth. 💜

It was thought-provoking and realistic. It clearly depicts how the society views a woman when involved in a scandalous act, they got judged and belittled. While, the man, on the other hand, will be justified, praised, and even glorified. And that's the sad truth, which is really aggravating and ridiculous. Love how the author handled it. The MC' character development – compromised, changed, and just be there to the one's who needs us most. Hay, made me cry and laugh. Will surely miss this journey.

3.8 out of five

This was a little different from Pacala’s usual female first-person narrating. She didn't fail. She was able to give and build a character for Josiah (unlike her other works where male characters became too generic, all of them were so similar, the only difference were their names).

Our society sucks. BIG TIME. And I love how jonaxx portrayed that in this book. Overall, this is a good read. Just don't read the comments to avoid stressing yourself out.

i mean ?!?!?!?

this was the last book in the series that i have read simply because i didn’t like the idea of the story from the guy’s pov.

but i kid u not with the amount of times i squealed, jumped, and writhed from the kilig.

after all, Josiah’s pov made the feeling more genuine and pure.

i never realized that. reading the story i was like “ganito pala sila pag ma in love”. i don’t know abt anyone else but my favorite part of the story is probably the fact that it’s slowburn.

i know that slow burns can be annoying and infuriating sometimes bc i do get it that as a reader i crave for angst and action. but this story made me realize that waiting, time, and patience is so heartwarming. it feels so nice to be loved that way.

and yes, i do want to be loved by a josiah travis montefalco.

No matter what others say this is my favorite jonaxx story

I'm not really a fan of jonaxx but I can say is I'm inlove with the leading lady Reinella Villondo. Her whole character is really not that written in the book but I can say she's really a good person that's why I'm so mad 😡 at those people who judge her.

I hate seeing some readers hating rei for being liberated. I experienced slut shame or mabastos that's why sobra akong naka relate sa story na to. I like yung sinabi ni josiah about sa scandal na mas grabe pa yung ginagawa ng tao ang kaibahan lang hindi ito documented. I will be honest bitin yung story i want to read more rei's pov. I also like yung vibes ng libro it feels nostalgic 😭💗

This is one of my favorite stories of Jonaxx. I love how ate j showed us kung pano itrato ng society ang mga babae. Just like dun sa scandal ni Rei, dalawa silang nasa video, pero si Rei lang yung sobrang naapektuhan. Si Kris, pine-praise nila while si Rei sina-slutshame. I also love Josiah's character development.

I love how jonaxx and this story talked about the stigma of women being liberated and "good or bad". This makes me realized talaga na oo nga noh? whenever a scandal came out it's always the girl that gets more shame and blame..
but even so, reniella, my best girl, stands strong
ps, i love her grandma so much

This was my first time reading a book from the male lead’s perspective, and I absolutely enjoyed it. Josiah’s character growth was incredibly well done, and I really appreciated how thoughtfully his character was written. Reniella is hands down my number one j-girl—I adore her personality.

But what truly stood out was the yearning and slow burn romance—it was on a whole other level.

The intentions of the book were clear to me. I remember learning some lessons the first time I read this book. It was refreshing to see a whole POV of a guy from a female author about romance. The only downside was, I think it hasn't been proofread yet, and I would've loved more about the POV of the female lead.
