I always enjoy Carolyn Ridder Aspenson books. I love the Lily Sprayberry series. This novella was a quick but enjoyable read. If you haven’t read any of the series you will have no trouble enjoying this cozy mystery. It is a complete mystery. If you have read the series, don’t worry about where this fits in. It is just a quick, entertaining mystery. It only took about an hour to read so it is perfect for those times when you are stuck waiting and don’t want something long to read, (like when you are waiting for the doctor). Because it is a quick read I’m not going into the story at all. It’s best for you to just read it. You will be entertained and the time will fly by.
I don’t know why but I can’t see my ratings. I gave this five stars just in case they aren’t showing up.

Since Lily’s client didn’t show up, she thinks he may be involved with this crime. Things don’t appear as they seem and Lily and Belle decide to investigate. A novella with a real twist to the story and a nice kickin’ ending, pun intended and you’ll totally get it when you read this fun novella! Luckily for Lily, the perp underestimated her (and no one who knows her does that).

Personally, I would have liked to have read about the wedding I'm sure there were some funny parts. I have been looking forward to that and it's not there.
Other than that this is a really cool short story.

Fast, easy to read cozy! Enjoy!

A novella length cozy mystery that is an extremely fast read. Good characterizations with an intriguing storyline that will keep the reader engaged for the duration. A fun, delightful beginning to what appears to be a "complex" cozy series. This is my first "Lily Sprayberry" story so I have no comparisons. This is a very clean story that I would recommend to lovers of cozy mystery.

I received a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary, honest and completely personal review.
