SOME BATTLES BREAK YOU. OTHERS MAKE YOU A WARRIOR.
"What a storyline. Trust me, you won't see this coming!" ARC reader.
A few weeks have passed since the standoff against the Murk. Thirteen-year-old Sheena Meyer is hopeful that her world is normal again, but it isn’t. She hears a cry for help that no one else can and evil doesn’t disappear; it finds a hiding place. It knows Sheena’s weakness and has set a trap for her. But Sheena has a secret that changes everything.
In this fourth installment of the Sheena Meyer series, Sheena learns of the connected gleamers and the mystery surrounding them. Together, they must come against a threat created by the Murk and learn we all have a warrior inside of us. Sometimes it takes a little help from heaven to bring it out.

Wow! I'm so happy there's more books to this series. This fourth book did start off pretty slow-paced, but the ending was definitely what made me go from 4 stars to 5 stars. I'm so happy to be reading about "my children" (Sheena, Chana, Teddy, Cameron, Ariel) again, lol xD

I give this book a 4 star review because this book was really inspiring and really interesting for people to read. I highly recommend it just because it wasn't my favorite book. The character, Sheena Mayer, who has a hope that her world would be normal again, she is 30 years old. A thing that I liked was that this book has shown me that you will have a lot of problems you have to solve it no matter how many years it takes. Sheena ( the girl) hasn't solved them all yet. This book is related to my hero’s journey because I also had problems that are hard to solve but after I actually solve them. This book changed me as a reader because now I like reading more than before so that changed me. I recommend this book to Rocio Alonso because I think this will inspire her to solve her problems.

MORE SHEENA PLEASE!

I’m a very happy Tonja right now since this story will be continued in Book 5! Wow… the way the characters come together and strengthen each other is what I LOVE about this series! THIS is the WAY the Christian church SHOULD be as the fighters through Faith against the evil in this world. It’s not preachy or religious, but inspiring with a reality of how teenagers ARE even when they fail sometimes in everyday life. If you want a series that is very honest with reality while still being hopeful with spiritual breakthroughs that we ALL need to have to become the Gleamers of the Light in this world then THIS IS IT! I will always try to be a Gleamer 😊

Sheena has continued to learn more about The City of Gleamers and the part it has played in the on-going fight against evil. She has those who protect her and her team that fights with her to keep the evil from creating a generation filled with hopelessness and evil. Sheena had been able to face all of this with the help of her family, her friends, her protectors, and guardian angel, but then she overhears an argument between Luke and her father and it is about not having told her that she has to die. Sheena grabs her coat and runs out into the cold only to come up against a dark cloud of evil and at it's center is Drake. Now, where are those who should be at her side to help and protect her.

I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it to everyone (especially people who love mystery). The book is about a young girl called Sheena and her friends who live in a small town, little did they know that Sheena Meyer was a gleamer! This book was absolutely amazing, though I do recommend to read the first three books before or you most likely wouldn't understand.

First book: the girl who spoke to the wind
Second book: the girl who captured the sun
Third book: the girl who looked beyond the stars

New Review

Okay, I take most of it back from my first review. There are still some holes in the story, but the fight scene made more sense when I read the end of the book over again. Now that I knew who the bad guy was, I could follow things better, but the author went out of her way not to use names, so a lot of the time the reader was in the dark about who was talking. It didn’t make sense when she kept saying “he, him” all the time! But I revise my review to at least say it was a decent story.

Well Written

This book was very well written, the plot makes sense and there are no questions in the story that went unanswered. There are no spelling mistakes and the series all comes together. Throughout the books I did wonder what the willow tree in Sheena's back yard stood for or what it meant. I love your writing and look forward to reading more of your works, the best of luck to you in any future books!

Phenomenal story, a wonderful, uplifting tale of spiritual warfare!

Having read the previous three books in this episodic tale, my granddaughter and I were impatiently waiting for THE GIRL WHO BECAME A WARRIOR. It is everything we had hoped for and more! Now we are impatiently waiting for book 5 of Sheena Meyer's story and talking about the different was God calls us into spiritual battles!

This book was simply amazing! Way more serious than all the previous books! It involved survival and attacks! And finding new characters in Sheenas life! I loved how each character in Sheenas team has a little gleam in them that will shine throughout! Can't wait to read the 5th book! Overall 10/10! Would recommend this series!

Excellent series

I read all 4 of the Sheena books over this weekend. Fun stories, easy reading and great in helping kids (and adults) to understand some of the challenges we face and how to deal with them.

Ugh……finally finished……the writing was confusing and lackluster. Some of the situations didn’t make sense or were contradictory. The first book was good, but every book after gets progressively worse…..this is the 4th book in a series of 6. I won’t be continuing.

This whole series is a decent series, but it is often confusing. Sometimes in a longer conversation, the author won't put who's talking, which often confuses me. Also, I liked the messages of this book, but I probably will never think about it again.

The fourth book is the best volume. Amazing and full of surprising secrets that you can't even think about. I'm glad that Sheena's group is bigger, but I still prefer the original seven members: Sheena, Theodore, Chana, Ariel, Bradley, Teela, and Cameron.

This book got me in a reading slump and it took me so long to read, after reading the first three I had very high expectations but I was just a big disappointed with how slow it was. I’m still going to read the last few tho :)
