“This is a series well worth checking out.” -Curve Magazine

Tenika and Delilah are about to give birth in this fifth book of the beloved Oaktown Girls series. Yet, when Sally does a psychic reading of the upcoming birth, trouble looms. Something life-changing is going to happen, she predicts. Can she possibly be right?

At the same time, SFPD Sergeant Frankie and her beloved Sally are soon to get married—a fact Frankie has not yet told her difficult, domineering mother Misty. Chaos ensues when the pair finally share their upcoming wedding plans.

Meanwhile, Kate’s father is seriously ill back in Ireland. Should she go back and risk deportation, despite her newly-minted green card status? And if she does, will her wife Lizzy ever forgive her for a long-held untruth?

Three taut dramas unfold in this paean to lesbian community, love and support as the Oaktown Girls gather once again—this time at a hospital—to help each other pull through.

As warm and engrossing as ever, Undivided shows the power of deep connection among women. Because together, nothing is impossible.

If you have read and enjoyed the prior books in Suzanne Falter’s Oaktown Girls series, you need to give Undivided a read. It’s another addictive addition to the series, one packed with emotion and sure to have you devouring it in a single sitting.

Undivided gives us a look into the lives of all the women we were introduced to in the prior books, providing us with an insight into the highs and the lows of their lives. I’ll be honest and say I enjoyed some of the stories more – one in particular hit extremely hard, to the point where my eyes were watery as things played out – but all were addictive. It was great to see the friendship between them all, to see the connection help them through the intense events.

Without a doubt, fans of the series need to give this one a read to be hit hard by the emotional events that play out.

I've read all the books in Suzanne Falter's Oaktown Girls series, starting with Driven and ending with Undivided. I totally love the entire series. The characters are engaging and feel very real, the writing is strong and accomplished, and the storylines of the various characters are skillfully intertwined.

The central characters form a community of lesbians in the San Francisco area, and they are charmingly diverse in many ways. There's a cop, two auto mechanics, a medium, and a few other professions. There is ethnic, racial, religious and a few other forms of diversity.

And there are tensions; many are family-based, with families ranging from totally accepting to unshakable homophobia. And as a result, there are secrets and lies, and tensions within the relationships. Because from the beginning of Undivided, each of the six women is partners with one of the others in the circle, forming three romantic couples.

There are births, deaths, and all the dramas one can imagine in between. The characters struggle with many of the most profound issues that real-world people must deal with.

And yet, all this complexity is handled with a deep understanding and great narrative skill.

With this novel, Ms. Falter demonstrates that it's not necessary to follow the tried-and-true formula for romantic novels in order to have a powerful and engaging story about lesbians. This is not your typical two women meet, fall in love, encounter obstacles, overcome said obstacles, live happily ever after.

Nope. This is a story - a group of interwoven stories - far more original than the standard F/F romance. And the emotional impact of the latter part of the book is powerful indeed.

I strongly recommend Undivided. I think it may be a long while before I encounter a novel as delectable and powerful as this.

The Oaktown Girls saga continues with Frankie and Sally set to get married but Frankie's secrets may derail plans as could Sally's if she continues to listen to her ex Ronnie. Lizzy and Kate's relationship seems on solid ground but what about Kate's family back in Ireland - what do they know about Kate's life in America? Tenika and Delilah are over the moon preparing for twin babies. Will everything work out for them? Read to find out!!
This book has it all, angst, drama, romance, sex, pompous parents, dirt bag grifter, Irish family dogmatic in their narrow beliefs and the sensitive topic of organ donation. Through it all the unwavering bond between the ladies is sometimes stretched to bursting but manages to hold true.
This was a roller coaster read emotionally but I savored every moment and continued to the end without stopping. While "Undivided" can be read as a stand alone book, I believe it is best appreciated in saga sequence. Thank you Ms. Falter - I look forward to more from you.

The most important thing is appreciating that life

The most important thing in life is appreciating the living of that life. It's so easy to lose sight of what really matters amidst the chaos & complications of the daily grind, but some experiences force you to reconsider & reevaluate your existence. & that's the moral of this book. The most profound & emotional story of the series, this narrative surpasses all the others in expressing & exploring the power, purpose, promise, passion, patience, pain & price that comes from, with, thru & as love.

Warning spoiler!!! This is not really a review but a thanks to the author for writing about such a tough subject. I spent the afternoon thinking about my Great Niece, Grace. Sweet Grace was only with us for a few hours. She was born way too soon. However, I got to hold her and tell how how much she was loved and how blessed I felt to get to see her beautiful face.
Thank you for helping me to remember what a blessing it was to get to meet Grace.
