Rex is a half man half dog. He was created when a drunk old man forced himself on a stray female dog in the street. Because of his father, Rex has to live his life as a freak rejected by society. Now he is looking for him, so he can take his revenge.
I honestly am in disbelief that this is even on goodreads. The independent comic book community is a wild place. In fact, it is quite incredibly toxic at times. This was just some kids hilarious crude crappy joke short manga that somehow was crowd funded in to a full published work. Of course I bought it. For the meme— no, the dream. It is funny and it looks funny on the books shelf. It is a cult icon instantly. Probably don’t actually suggest anyone go out of there way to find it though.
This book was indeed one of a kind. The main theme of Dog N. was to fulfill his goal of raping his father for revenge. However, I was disappointed that he did not practice his goal, neither was clear what his new intentions where. This ongoing theme kind of got lost on its way
Where do I begin? The really poor title, or the unnecessary and horribly written story. Aside from the fact the main characters name is ACTUALLY dog n*****, he wants to R*PE his dad. It really doesn’t matter the motivation behind this, because that is absolutely the wildest thing I have ever read in a manga. Aside from the art, which is pretty good (sometimes), this is probably the worst two chapters I’ve ever read in my entire life. This could’ve been some type of cult hit like chainsaw man or something but honestly this is just some edgy, cringey, poorly written drivel and it’s not worth your time. It’s obvious it’s been cancelled since it’s not coming out anymore and if it hasn’t been cancelled it should be. Wack wack wack wack.

Reads like if Dorohedoro was 4chan memes from 2006. A view of hell through an LSD lens. The art is very scratchy indie comic mode with an emphasis on large panels, many pages being a single image. You can breeze through it. Raw, weird, somewhat of a parody in tone. The plot is about a guy who is the product of a man-on-dog rape, and is on an epic quest to find and rape his own father. Obviously it's trying to push something or other as far as it can go, but comic has more going on than shock content. You already know if you want to read this or not.
I don't know why people hate it so much. It really is built different and is good. The artstyle can be bad at sometimes but it's good most of the times. The themes like rape and school shooting are there so obviously it's 18+ and why are people hating on it so much. It's literally peak rn. And honestly, sometimes, it's kind of wholesome or hits you really hard. It's honestly one of the few books which made me cry (apart from school books). I know this isn't for everyone but if you're into comedy and Action and are fine with 18+ content, this is definitely the book for you. It might get a bit boring at the start but a few chapters later, it gets lit af.
I started reading this book because I believed that it couldn't exist. A little over two hundred pages later, I can honestly say that I've completely changed my stance from couldn't believe it existed to completely believing that it shouldn't.
From the art to writing, it's just bad. Usually I wouldn't want to try and piss on someone's creative dream, but there is absolutely nothing of value or even anything resembling sense in this book.
To everyone who worked on this book, I'll leave you with this and I genuinely hope you take these words to heart: try harder.
peak fiction, next question. the era of mid manga is finally over. time for dog ninja to claim the spotlight.
the character development was handled very well and neo's backstory moved me. the art style rivals many popular mainstream manga. i cried while reading this, because the MC's constant struggle against himself and the outside world seeing him as monster was very relatable, and i'm saying this as a fellow hood sigma.
every day i pray with my hand on the bible so that this gets the anime adaptation it deserves.
Normally, I would write more in depth reviews. However, in this case, that would be unnecessary. Simply put, this manga was a fun and interesting read as I hardly come across manga made by independent authors, especially black authors. The story isn't uber complex and it's easy to understand. I look forward to reading the second volume soon.
Did not expect to like it this much, but the story does go deeper than just "haha rape funny". It's a comedic but also has a lot more depth. I enjoy how Rex contemplates wether getting revenge is truely what will satisfy him. And how he doesn't want others to be harmed because of his motivation to rape his father.
I ordered this manga on Amazon last July, and I must say this was hilarious. The artwork itself was very nice, and it even includes a fanart section from various creators near the front. The story is also very unique, and I'm excited to order volume two as soon as it returns to Amazon.
Art style was fast-and-loose. Writing was adequate (though typo-ridden).
Premise was goofy and gonzo enough to keep me reading, but I don't foresee tracking down future volumes or anything to see if Rex does, in fact, end up raping his dad. 😐

A ver gente, solo porque puedas hacer algo no significa que DEBAS! ¿Ese comentario pasivo agresivo hacia tu amigo que le gusta el Pokémon mientras que tú has ido a kumon por toda tu vida? No LO HAGAS.
What if Baki the Grappler was also Beastars? What would the fusion of Keisuke Itagaki and his daughter Paru's manga be called? Well...I know the answer, but I probably shouldn't repeat the title of this comic.
