Reviewers are calling this series a binge-worthy series. Find out why.
The Blackthorne brothers are notorious for their good looks, their strength, and on occasion, their charm. They are not known for sticking around.
Estranged from their hometown for eight years, the Blackthorne brothers are called back to search for their missing father. Convinced by Miss Molly--their great-aunt and the town's matriarch--that something dire has happened, the Blackthorne brothers remember an old brotherhood oath taken years ago. They are forced to disrupt their vastly different lives, leave their corners of the world, and return to their roots to keep the family dairy farm running in their father's absence.
They are not interested in changing their lives, but will fate step in and force them out of their comfort zones? And will Healing Springs bring the brothers together or drive them further apart? ***This is a seductive small town romance series with a riveting mystery from the author of the Healing Springs series. Each book features an independent, standalone romance story with a happily-ever-after in each of the four books, but there is a mystery plot that carries on throughout the four books. ***
When not writing, USA Today Bestselling author Amanda Torrey enjoys spending time with her adult kids and her real-life hero. She loves reading, playing in nature/hugging trees, traveling, taking road trips (especially the kind that make everyone around her question her sanity), playing with her puppies, going to the movies, and binge-watching her favorite shows. Amanda is in love with elephants and castles and Scotland, and she is a true believer in happily-ever-after. She bursts into an instant good mood when people are unexpectedly kind or polite, and thinks there's nothing greater than connecting with a stranger through a smile. She loves meeting new people, and especially loves to hear from readers!
4.25 Stars. Four love stories and a mystery that threads it way through each book until it’s dramatic end, made for a very captivating series. From reading the Prequel, (which was a clever addition) the readers knew the four Blackthorne brothers were going to very different from each other, and each having their own issues. Being estranged from their father for years, made them guilt ridden when they heard of his disappearance. Each uprooted their daily routines, and immediately returned to their small home town of Healing Springs, NH. There was definitely healing and love in the New England air. What set this additive series apart was the stark differences between the leading men. In most male led series, it seems they are all former military alpha heroes, tough law enforcement agents, hot cowboys, or playboy millionaires. In this book you have the friendly accountant that rather be a dairy farmer (Declan), the arrogant, yet humanitarian renowned cardiac surgeon (Zander), the fierce and brute MMA fighter (Blaze), and the sexy Hollywood action hero, (Kaden). 4 Stars- Prequel 4.25 Stars- Declan 3.75 Stars- Zander 4 Stars- Blaze 4.50 Stars- Kaden My complete Reviews are listed under the individual books. I am thrilled to find another talented author to follow.
What brings four brother's together more than trying to find their father. Yes they left him years ago but he still their dad. But with all of them home each find happiness and love and possibly their dad.
Four handsome brothers, four stand alone romances tied together by the thread of finding the missing Blackthorne patriarch. Each brother's personality was distinct, as were the women they chose to love. This was a fun dip into the Healing Springs world. I`m off to download more Amanda Torrey!
4 brothers left their home, their family farm, 8 years before the start of this series because their recently widowed father married "step witch" who made their lives miserable. They all return when they find out their father has gone missing. Each is one brother's story, with clues to their father's disappearance who is finally found in the last book. HEA ending.
I enjoyed all these Blackthorne brothers. The characters are all believable and likeable and the interactions amongst the brothers and their gals and their stories are great. You need to read them all though because of the mystery running throughout them which is not resolved until the last book. I’m glad I got them at discount. Well done!
The Blackthorne brothers return home to help find their father who is missing under suspicious circumstances and each of them find forever love
I would recommend these books and the series for mature readers (sexual situations) that enjoy reading stories that are at times laugh out loud funny, steamy, suspenseful, and romantic, with strong characters both male and female.
Blackthorne Brothers Prequel Review: This was just a set up for each individual Blackthorne Brother. It didn't really do anything to encourage me to read the series.
Declan Review: Talk about opposites attract. Declan and Rylee could not be more on the opposite sides. I found Declan likeable he is sweet, stubborn and listens when needed. Rylee is smart, stubborn and sticks to her guns. I liked the interaction between the brothers, it made me smile. The overall reason for the brothers to be there was to find their father. In my opinion the mystery of where Brent is got a little lost. I wanted more working on the mystery part. It does end in a cliffhanger.
Zander Review: I love second chance romances. In my opinion Zander is a little over the top intense, I guess it's the older brother syndrome. I like Zander and his intense manner, his protective side and knowing what was the right thing to do. I like Alexa her love of Harvey, the sacrifices she made and her protectiveness. The mystery of the missing father is still going on, but seemed to take a backseat to Zander and Alexa's story. Overall I enjoyed this book.
Blaze Review: I really enjoyed Blaze, there was a lot more of working on the mystery of where the missing father. There was a lot more action. I found Blaze a little hard to like, he doesn't talk a whole lot he just throws his fist around. The qualities I liked about Blaze his his love for his family and how he has his brothers backs. When it came down to it he stepped up for Leila. I loved how Leila didn't back down from Blaze. I loved how Leila had Blaze's back. Leila was one spitfire. I found Blaze a little predictable but I was okay with that. Overall I enjoyed Blaze.
Kaden Review: Amanda Torrey gave me what I like in a story suspense and mystery. In my opinion it's predictable which I was okay with. I liked how Natalie stood her ground with Kaden, that made me laugh. My favorite part was how the brothers kept showing up for each other.
Overall I enjoyed this series, but I found things a little predictable. I got a good deal on this boxed set. That's the only reason I got it.
