Anything can happen at a truck stop. If you’re not careful, you can even fall in love.

I hate relationships. It’s why I became a trucker.

Long nights on the road mean you’re never in one place long enough for a guy to break your heart.

But when my rig breaks down in the small town of Bear Springs, I discover my ideal life might not be so ideal after all.

How can I keep truckin’ after the anonymous man at the local rest stop steals my heart?

I find myself falling for him more each day, until I learn a secret about him and I can't keep pretending it's a casual fling.

He's stolen my heart, but can I push past my fear of rejection and make him mine?

Or will I fall flat on my face like last time, and end up totally “trucked?”

Totally Trucked is an opposites attract low angst MM romance with an age gap, high levels of heat and steam, and a happily ever after that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy as "truck." It is the first in a series of four age gap novels slated for early 2021 release.

3.5 Stars mixed thoughts
A great start with a hot scene yah it had me glued for the first pages.. but it progresses along the same lines.. Ducks, gloryholes and rig breakdowns and more.
Both finally meet but don't know they've meet before in a bathroom.
A friendship and banter grows and they silently like each other. Distance between them when they weren't together, and yah I kept telling them that's what phones are for but they didn't hear me..damm. Thank goodness for Lucas... This includes feels and laughter (I'm busting to tell a scene but that'd be a huge spoiler, damm at the final stall conversation to have Mr author lol)
Okay so my final thoughts while I enjoyed the book I think it should've been great as a shorter version. Scenes with truck were so so, as a truckers wife they where too simplified. I wondered how old Jax was in this as he seemed young in scenes. The second half of the book was a little better.

Jax was a trucker and finding a hot cock on a glory hole he couldn't resists..
Logan 21 experienced his first blowjob and neither can forget.

First off, I need to say that this wasn’t my kind of read. At all. When reading the blurb, I thought it sounded interesting, but I quickly discovered where me limits were.

But I don’t judge. To each their own and all that. And I’m certain there are tons of people who’d think Totally Trucked is hot as hell. Unfortunately, I didn’t though.
So I’m obviously not the target reader of this story.

Therefore, when rating this book I've tried to disregard my personal tastes and instead focused on such things as writing, plot-line and character development.
Anyways. This is about Jax the trucker, and Logan the twink who works at a truck stop diner. And these guys meet through a glory-hole in a public restroom. It’s dirty. In every sense of the word. And there’s plenty of sloppiness and cum involved. Over half of the book is a succession of glory-hole hook-ups and beat-off sessions.

Then they finally meet face-to-face, not just face-to-crotch (sorry, couldn’t help myself there) and they expand their hook-up repertoire.

This is dirty as heck. It’s a story for those who enjoy the nasty and unsanitary.

The writing as such is okay, and even though I had trouble pinpointing Jax’s and Logan’s personalities, they were likable enough. So I’m sure there are plenty of readers out there who will love this story.

What I did love, however, was the cover photo. It’s hot!

Just like the description says, this is a very sweet but extremely hottttt book. I liked the premise and I liked the main characters Jax and Logan and even the side characters. My issue was the amount of steamy times. I tend to want a good blend of story and sexy times but this one was pretty uneven. I’m definitely interested to see where the author takes this series

Who knew that a glory hole book would be a sloooooow burn. Logan and Jax danced around each other for several MONTHS. It got to be a bit frustrating. It was very repetitive too. You are yelling get on with it already 🙄How do you mess up a glory hole book 🤔🤔??

The promise of a hot book with no delivery. They had more chemistry when they were strangers through a glory hole, which is not quite how you want it. It was going to be a DNF but for some strange reason I wanted to know how it ended.

More issues....The timeline was not right either. Jax ran off for a month and they keep mentioning 3 months. I’m a beta reader myself so details like this should have been picked up by the author’s beta readers. Logan and Jax’s names get turned around too which was also confusing by saying the wrong names.

The end was just ludicrous. The painting thing was also just rude AF with Jax’s friends. Why did I insist on finishing this?!?

I loved this book! A wonderful story of finding love and giving love a second chance. Jax is a trucker and Logan works at a diner. The two first meet face to face in the diner where Logan works. They’ve encountered each other before in a truck stop but don’t know it. They get closer when Jax’s rig breaks and he gets stuck in town for the week but Jax is afraid to open his heart again after his last boyfriend cheated on him. Every chance he gets Jax comes back to Bear Springs. At first it’s to see his mystery man but once he and Logan meet at the diner, he comes back to see Logan. They decide to have one “no catching feelings” date night together just before Jax is to head out on a delivery but Jax runs when he finds out that the man from the truck stop that he has been lusting after is none other than Logan. The fact that his boss has called him to get a head start on his latest delivery just gives him the excuse to go. But a conversation with a friend will send Jax back to Bear Springs, consequences be darned to get his man. This will lead to two towards a wonderful relationship both in town and on the road. Eventually it will lead them to their happily ever after.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

This is a new series which takes place in a truck stop of a small town. Jax, a long-distance truck driver, has been hurt before and decides to never enter in a relationship again; he just wants to have mindless hookups to help him forget his ex. But then he hooks up with Logan, and he realizes that he wants more. The two of them are as different as night and day-- Logan is a nerd who works at a truck rest stop and Jack is a tattooed hunky trucker. But they can't have anything other than mindless hookups, right? No promises, no commitments? Well, at least that's what Jax thinks. Of course, we know differently, don't we? I have to warn you that parts of the story are quite "steamy" (meaning: graphic), so keep that in mind if you don't like such detailed descriptions of the characters' hook-ups.

I enjoyed this m/m read, there was a lot of fun and witty banter between all the characters, main and secondary. The plot was great with a few twists and turns. I really enjoyed both of the main male characters. They were quite a hoot and their monologues were fantastic and kept me smiling. The story and the interactions made for a joyous read.

I give this a five out of five stars. I enjoyed the story and the characters.

What a wonderful debut for series and author! I loved the trucking theme and travels, the whole concept was great. The MCs Logan and Jax are so good (and hot) together. The k1nky meet-cute sold it for me, and it just got better from there. Loved the character development, the laughs, and the side characters - can't wait for their stories! (And kudos to the name of the Trucking Company! Superb!)

It is almost impossible for me to rate this book. I really really did not like it, not even a little bit. In the same time I expected something different, some hot trucker porn bit it was too much for me and i had to make myself keep reading :(

The story is hot, sex scenes if someone likes this type of stories/films etc are scorching hot, and even though it was more like a regular porn than a book with a plot it was not that bad. Everything depends on what You're looking for.

It was my first book by this author and i won't read more, but only because it was far far from my comfort zone.

Trucking Hell!!.

When two anonymous people hook up at the truck n munch and become obsessed with each other and keep revisiting in the hope the other will be there! Jax is a truck driver and recently single and heart broken and determined not to catch feelings again and Logan is a local twenty-one year old virgin desperate to start experiencing life, he wants love and more than being a server in a small town diner.
This is the first book in the series and omg some of it is hysterical, most of it is kinky as can be but it's certainly not boring. Enjoyable read.

I feel terrible, I was unable to finish this book.
So I wont mark stars.

The start of the story with the glory holes while hot, made me cringe also.
Yes you may be horny but put a cover on it. You dont know whose on the other side or if they have anything you dont want.

Secondly, for one of the main characters to have started a relationship before through glory holes and truck stops, then have his heart ripped out. Its hasnt stopped him doing it all again.

Lastly, why would you wait around for months on end for some randomer to put his mouth on you or you do it to him. When there is hookup apps.

I thought this book was kind of adorable. Jax and Logan originally meet up in an unusual "hole in the wall" kind of place that immediately gives the story a lot of character! Since Jax is a trucker, he only has quick stopovers before he needs to move on, but when his truck breaks down, he runs into Logan again. Logan works at the local diner and is thrilled when he sees Jax...and the possible tips he can make if he makes a good impression. A boy has to do what he has to do to afford new paint brushes! Their interactions at the diner are witty, sometimes gritty, and usually involve bacon. There was a lot of humor in this book as well as some very steamy encounters that definitely got the blood pumping.

I received an ARC in exchange for a fair review ...

I am down for the tropes in "Totally Trucked": age gap, opposites attract, etc. I have never read a book with the main framing device (that being, glory holes), but I was open to the concept given the other conceits of this book.

Well, that main catalyst for the love story between main characters Logan and Jax just isn't for me. I am not aiming to yuck anyone's yum, but I was grossed out anytime the characters interacted in the bathroom. Really not trying to judge men who use these things, but I cannot deal with how unsanitary it is. The author's continued use of "pungent" and "spunk" also was not for me. I can get down with dirty sex, but not like, literally dirty. Also, so much saliva. Pools of saliva. No thank you.

Besides that, I did laugh out loud at Logan's inner dialogue more than once. He's a nice mix of sweet and innocent and out of his mind horny (which is accurate for a 21-year-old). Jax is a big ole cuddle bear who is very in touch with his feelings, even though he's scared of what he feels for Logan.

In that way, it doesn't really feel like an opposites attract story, beyond their physical differences (Logan is slight and Jax is big and tattooed). They pretty much agree on everything, and they are both touchy-feely. It could almost be the grumpy one and the sunshine one, but Jax isn't exactly grumpy. It's also marketed as an age-gap romance, and while that is undoubtedly true, it's not a main focus of the romantic conflict. Jax is more concerned about how his lifestyle as a trucker doesn't compute with a relationship with smalltown Logan, not their age difference (in fact, I'm not sure how old Jax even is? Mid-thirties?)

Now, this critique might not be valid for the published version of this book, but I noticed repeats of words like "quip" in the writing that needs editing/adjusting. Perhaps these repetitions have been adjusted in the final published version.

Also, a very, very minor peeve: Jax introduces his three closest friends and he gives their heights? I don't know how that's relevant in any way? It's a small thing, but I didn't get it and I'm still pretty puzzled about it, and that's never a good thing, to have a minor bit stick with the reader far beyond when it should. (Jax didn't also give his own height at the same time? You don't learn how tall he is until Logan said it. So minor, but STILL.)

Overall, the writing isn't bad and it's a sweet story despite its high steam and filthiness. Just if glory holes are not your thing, this book will not be to your liking because it's not a one-time occurrence. It's a big part of the book.

Well this was different. I've never read a book about truckers before and now I know way too much about truck stops and glory holes. This book is about Jax, a gay trucker who stops at a small town rest stop to use the john. While in said stall, he notices a glory hole in the wall. Not only that, but soon enough that glory hole is filled with a large dick. What a happy surprise for Jax.

On the other side of that glory hole is Logan. Sick of his virginity in all things he finally musters up the guts to head to the town truck stop and lose his "blow job virginity" via the glory hole he's heard about. Never in his wildest imagination did he think he'd be meeting the love of his life.

After several anonymous dalliances both have mixed feelings about their secret meet ups over the months and that's partly because crazily enough they have both met in real life and just don't know it. Logan has been Jax's waiter at a cafe he frequents during long hauls and both have started to grow feelings for the other. They just don't know they've already hooked up, albeit secretly.

Jax has had his heart broken before with his ex who cheated on him while he was out on drives. He doesn't know if he can put himself out there again even for sweet Logan. He also met his ex at a café and the circumstances are just too close to home, especially when he figures out it's Logan whom he has been meeting up with at the glory hole all those months. Talk about a shock.

Logan on the other hand is all in, almost too much in my opinion, and he makes it his mission to convince Jax of how great they could be together. Jax makes some mistakes along the way, but with the help of his trucker besties he sees the light and eventually stops running away and instead towards his HEA.

I liked the book, it just didn't wow me. The saving grace was the other truckers whom Jax has friendships with and are part of a chat group for LGBT+ truckers. Their interactions were hilarious and I loved every time he logged on. These men were shameless. Just for that I think I will continue on the series and I am hoping Lucas is next in line.

I’d say this book is 2.5 stars but half stars aren’t an option so I rated it at 3 stars.

Overall I liked the storyline of a trucker finding love in a small town. The gloryhole plot was a good starting point but I didn’t like that it took the months (and months) to finally realize who the other one was. They met outside of the gloryhole but they didn’t know each other was their secret gloryhole hookup. It was a bit repetitive with them seeing each other at the diner and then at the gloryhole. Like how did Logan not realize his secret gloryhole hookup was only in town when Jax was???

A few things that bothered me more that lowered the stars were
-The plot hole whereJax abandoned the load he was hauling to drive back to Bear Springs and it was never mentioned again. He was never reprimanded about it even though Jax had previously mentioned what an important delivery it was.
-The fact that Jax had a previous relationship that stared as a secret gloryhole hookup, then they met outside of the stall, and the man was a waiter at a small town diner. (Literally exactly the same as his and Logan’s relationship)
-Logan’s personality was so all over the place. At times he seemed like a completely different person.
-The writing was a bit clunky and could have used more editing to make it a smoother read with better flow.
-I HATED the reveal of who was buying Logan’s paintings. It was so rude and such a let down. I was absolutely disappointed that Logan wasn’t making it as an artist based on his talent.

There was some steam but not as much as the title or blurb made it sound liked there would be. This was first book for this author and I was give their next book a read to see if I connect with it more.

I did receive a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.

I received an unproofed ARC of this book and have volunteered to leave an honest review.
I hadn't read this author before (I believe it's their first novel, which is awesome in itself) and I'm definitely intrigued enough to want to read the next in the series.
The book starts off strong: the first few scenes between Jax and Logan were hot, and the reader knowing who they are to each other before they do works really well for the story. The characters have great chemistry, the writing is quite clever and Trucker romance isn't an overdone genre. The side characters are all quite memorable, and I'm actually quite excited to see there will be more books in the series as I can see a few characters who deserve their own story.

Once Jax and Logan discover who they are to each other, though, the story starts to lag and there's almost not enough tension to sustain interest through to the story's conclusion. I would have been happier for a conclusion shortly after Jax has his moment of awakening.
There's a conversation right after this moment, where Logan says he hates it in romance movies when the wronged party forgives their lover after a heartfelt speech without them ever having to do anything to make up for it, so possibly the author wanted to give an authentic amount of time for Jax to earn forgiveness. But then nothing seems to come of that conversation, everything is great and they kind of just amble along together for quite a few more chapters with nothing really important happening until the HEA moment, which is lovely but felt unneeded, or a few chapters too late.

I'm aware writing a novel is a tough thing, and everyone has to start somewhere. I'm definitely excited to see where this author goes with the series.

I'm not really sure how to take this book. The distinct lack of plot in the first 30% of the book led me to believe I was reading erotica. Then it tried to turn into a plotted romance over the next 30%, then it was like romantic erotica or something in the back half. I found the whole thing kind of funny, though it was lines like, "If his blue eyes were sapphires, I’d put them on a ring. But they’re not rare jewels, so I content myself with admiring them while they’re still safely attached to his head," which prompted the humor response. And maybe it was supposed to be like that, prose so bad it's funny. I'm just left feeling a bit confused and unsure, really.

This is the author's first book, so I have no point of reference for their writing style. The author obviously did no research on OTR trucking, as anyone with a trucker in their life will immediately recognize, so I think I'm leaning towards taking this book as "it's supposed to be ridiculous" erotica. If you go into it with that attitude, I think you'll be a lot less confused than I was. I'm not necessarily recommending that you read this, mind you, it's more that if you do decide to pick it up, you'll understand what you're in for. It is what it says it is in the blurb and nothing more. 2.5 stars for this baffling yet funny debut novel.

As ridiculously over-the-top as this story was, something about Jax and Logan kept me reading all the way to the end. These two certainly weren't the most believable couple, and I had to squint hard several times to ignore the improbability of their initial hookups, but there was something captivating about their wild ride. No, I don't think this was a particularly emotional, touching romance, but there was something enjoyable about the sheer unpredictability of their actions. Jax and Logan were full of personality, and even though I didn't always understand what was going on with them, it was obvious how much passion they put into their lives. If it hadn't been for their intriguing relationship, I'll admit that I wouldn't have been able to read this book all the way through. The actual storyline had so many confusing moments and missing plot points that I couldn't even begin to tell you how Logan and Jax ended up driving off into the sunset together. What kept me reading was the knowledge that this story can't and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Jax and Logan, with all their quirks and lusty hormones, sold me on all the other craziness in this book just by being their authentic selves.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

A bit of a mixed review for this new series from BJ Blakely. Overall I enjoyed the story and the characters involved. Both MC's had a good group of people around them, Jax's trucker friends and Logan's from Betty's Diner. There are definitely some hot moments between the two as strangers to each other and then sweeter, more tender moments as they meet as waiter/customer at the diner. Two very different encounters that show the different sides of the men but also how well they fit together. They make an adorable couple when things eventually get moving for them, giving them both a chance to move on from past events and find happiness going forward.
I did like how the story started with Logan wanting his first experience and how well things turned out for both of them but the story, overall, seemed to go move in fits and starts with something happening/developing and then a little stagnant for a while before something else occurs. There are three distinct parts to the story which could have been blended in more but I liked the story and the way that things turned out for both men.

"Totally Trucked" is the first novel published by this author, who based on this story shows a lot of promise. I'm generally a fan of so-bad-they're-amusing jokes (the trucking company name alone...), so I enjoyed some of the cheesy humor and trucking puns a-plenty. The author also delivers on the "high levels of heat and steam" promised in the book blurb, with downright filthy - figuratively and literally - steamy times that are also a-plenty and pretty much dominate the book.

With the abundance of heat and steam, though, comes a disappointing lack of emotion (lust notwithstanding) behind it all. I need some genuine feelings and emotional connection to and between characters to really enjoy a romance story, and I finished this book feeling like I hadn't gotten to know MCs Jax and Logan much at all beyond their lust-filled thoughts and desires.

It was all a bit too surface level for me, but I can see potential in that future stories in this series could delve deeper and invest more time in the characters themselves. I wish that had been the case here. I received an advance reading e-copy of this book and have left this honest review voluntarily.

This is steamy, dramatic and entertaining. Logan is tired of being a virgin, so he goes to a truck stop where he finds a bathroom stall that men use to get relief from anonymous strangers. He then developes an obsession for the man he met. Jax used truck stop bathrooms occasionally after he discovered his ex had been cheating on him. The guy who takes care of him made such an impression that he can't stop thinking about him. One of his trips to this truck stop changed his life. His truck broke down so he went to the nearby diner, and met Logan. They're both fascinated, which transfers their obsessions with the truck stop guys to each other. Jax is determined to never have a relationship again, but he can't resist Logan. Logan eventually gets Jax to take him out, but when Logan has a not so private conversation with his roommate Jax takes off. They pine for each other until they give in and go looking for each other, on the same day. A new relationship is born, even while Jax tries to resist. There's not a lot of substance to the story, but it's interesting enough to keep your attention

I’m not quite sure how I feel about this book. I think it is great for the author’s debut, and I’ll probably give the second one in the series a go. But, if I’m being honest, after an intriguing start, there was a lack of plot for a long time. The opening scene is basically repeated for almost the first half of the book and I found myself cringing a little with how every encounter was described. I was also a little irritated at the characters in this first half because every time they randomly went to the truck stop over the course of a few months, they expected their ‘mystery man’ to be there on the exact same date at the exact same time? Anyway, after the big reveal, the story does turn into more of a romance and we do get Jax finally wanting to give the connection he has with Logan a real shot. There isn’t any relationship drama after that which I enjoyed, and the ending was really sweet.

Totally Trucked is a low angst read, with a high amount of heat. Jax, who is a trucker, and Logan, an artist who works at the local diner, meet up at a truck stop for anonymous glory hole hookups. Not having seen each other, one day, Jax's truck breaks down, and he ends up in the diner, where Logan works. They hit it off right away, and start to develop feelings for each other. Will Jax's past relationship issues stop them from getting an HEA, and what happens if they figure out that they've been intimate before? I adored Logan and Jax. I loved their flirty banter, and they have tons of chemistry, and very steamy sex scenes. There are so many great secondary characters in this book. I loved the friendship Jax had with his trucker buddies. And Logan and Forrest's friendship and dynamic is great. I really enjoyed B.J. Blakely's writing style, particularly the character dialogue. The dialogue had humor, sweetness, naughtiness, and heart.

This book started out with a very erotic type feel and then went towards a kind of romantic route. Not to worry, there are sexy times a plenty that will heat up your kindle. I do like the two main characters, but I kind of feel like the two people that we meet in the beginning of the book are two totally different guys in the second half. Jax went from being emotionally unavailable and not wanting a partner, to a big sap who constantly professes his love for Logan in the second half and Logan kept going back and forth from shy, hurt guy, to bossy and dominating. I did have a rough time getting through some of the last half of the book because it felt like it dragged a bit for me. Overall I did think it was a decent story. I did receive this book from GRR for review and this is my honest opinion.

Just passing through

Enjoyable first novel for this author. I don't think I've ever rooted for a glory holes hook up before...but there is a first for everything. Jax and Logan's relationship starts off as a hot connection but through the book you see it slowly start to chance.

Logan is the virgin while jax is the trucker passing through. I like that jax and Logan progress in their relationship you get to see them try different things in the bedroom. As someone just starting out this is important for Logan but also jax as well in this new realtionship. One thing that was weird for me was the timing of the meet-ups...seems like the person would be waiting forever for a time that might not come...I mean 2 months or more idk

I did like the network of friend that surrounded logan and jax. I wonder which trucker may be off the market next

I thought that this was a great book for a debut novel. The language was a little crude and a little off putting at times. I come from a family in the trucking industry and I wonder how much research went into this novel because there are many inaccuracies on how truck dispatching is done, but if you don't know anything about that I'm sure you won't get as frustrated with it. There were a few times where I had to stretch my belief in what was realistic especially with Jonah. I hope that the author learns from this and makes the next books better, I look forward to reading the next ones. The plot was actually really interesting and I loved the characters. As I said, I look forward to seeing what this author comes up with next. I would recommend this book.

The story is about Jax, a trucker and Logan who works in a diner.
Their first encounter is from a glory hole in a public restroom . From the start till mostly half the book, it's all about glory holes and them hooking up through them . Yup, definitely a lot of steam . Which I didn't liked . There was just a lot of sex talk and no story .
Then they meet face to face but don't know that they have met before .
And yes, a romance here ! From there , the story improved . I loved how Logan and Jax fell for each other. Over bacon and paintings . How playful Jax's friends were .
I enjoyed it okay. A lot. Especially the banter between friends 😂
Writing style was good and kept me hooked .

This was a bit of a miss for me. The first scene of anonymous sex was hot, but there wasn't a connection between the two other than a throw away line from Jax about predicting he'll meet the mysterious man again. That sets off the first half of the book, without any world or relationship building, I couldn't connect with either Jax or Logan. Logan especially seemed to be two different people portrayed in this one book as shy and innocent or the complete opposite. There was hardly any communication to build a relationship on and by the end, I found myself wishing for more groundwork on their story.
