From its rolling lowlands and meandering rivers to its lofty peaks and extensive lake region, Poland is a land where good food and warm hospitality is at the heart of everyday life.
I liked the book as a whole but I really hated it because Poland was relegated in the introduction to Eastern Europe, a cold war term, which is a faux pas. Poland is in Central Europe, ok? Also, it tends to be very simplistic. Rather than underlying that there are different regional cuisines in Poland, it just says Polish and so on. Please, correct these things and I'll be happy to buy a few copies for my friends
I am totally biased on the cuisine from a cultural standpoint, and also my mom gave me this so it was basically impossible that I wouldn't love it, but on the other hand: best tasting salmon recipe I have ever followed. Straight-forward recipes with heartwarmingly familiar results (if you are familiar with traditional Polish food). If you're not and would like to become so, this is a good place to start.
