Prominent Denver businessman JR Driskill didn’t believe in love at first sight—until the day he met Britt Appleton. Beautiful, brilliant, and kind, Britt was the type of woman JR had given up on finding. Now that he had, he was willing to do whatever was necessary to make her happy.
Unfortunately, what was necessary was for JR to be a stranger.
Having secured a position as social media specialist for the Colorado Grizzlies--the football team owned by the Driskills—Britt is determined to prove her worth. Worried her ties to JR might cause her boss, JR’s sister, Nyla, to dismiss her abilities, she asks JR to keep their relationship private.
JR wants to support Britt and agrees to her request. But keeping their growing love under-wraps is easier said than done. When their relationship is splashed across gossip sites, Britt’s reputation takes a hit. Refusing to give up on her dream or on Denver, Britt sets out to find a new path while JR hatches a plan of his own…

Can’t Say No is the second book in Cindy Kirk’s Silver Creek series. The complex family relationships, the compelling drama and the multi-faceted characters intrigued me. Cindy Kirk has created the perfect balance between emotional, passionate romance and family drama in this novel. The romance between Britt and JR and the sensual relationship between Nyla and Deron drew me into the story. Britt and JR’s relationship is tested several times during the story. Nyla holds herself to a high professional standard—so high that her decisions impact members of her family and the family business. Each couple had secrets—secrets that when revealed will shake the Driskill family personally and professionally. Can’t Say No is a well written contemporary novel. Family relationships between siblings, parents and grandparents are explored. Cindy Kirk wowed me with the storyline, superb dialogue and the many surprising plot twists. Can’t wait for the next book—Don’t Say Maybe! If you are looking for a well plotted contemporary romance, pick up a copy of Can’t Say No!
This is the second book in the Silver Creek series and continues the love story between Britt and JR. I love how well the author, Cindy Kirk, guides us along into their love story. She also introduces us to a new couple, Nyla and Devon. I am looking forward to reading the third book in this series to see what progresses for this new couple. The author allows us to cheer on all of these sweet characters. I found this to be a very quick enjoyable read. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
You just can't say no to this follow up of Just Say Yes! This installment of the Silver Creek novellas picks up just a week or so after Just Say Yes ends. Britt almost has her dream job. Just just needs to make it through the one month trial period and impress JR's sister Nyla. Britt thinks everything is going great until Nyla wants to meet. Britt wants to get this job on her own, but doesn't like to lie and Nyla makes it very clear that Britt being with JR is not okay. Britt does a great job, but when a tabloid publishes a photo of Britt and JR out one night and the article is filled with half truths, Nyla fires Britt. JR sees this as an opportunity. He asks Britt to not only move in with him, but to be his wife. Britt is not a woman easily stopped and decides she will learn for this loss and not be defeated. Britt starts to realize maybe this end wasn't an end at all, but a chance at an amazing new beginning. While this book still is very centered around Britt and JR there is a lot more to Nyla then she lets on. She finds herself giving her family a lot of half truths, just as Britt did to her. Nyla had been in Paris after a break up and ran into an old friend who also happens to be the son of her families oldest enemies. Nyla knows her a Deron are playing with fire, but what happens in Paris stays in Paris right? Wrong Nyla knows she has feeling for Deron and he does too. The two keep running into each other, no matter how their families feel. What will happen with Nyla and Deron? Can they make there Romeo and Juliet romance turn out with a happy ending? I guess we'll have to wait until Don't Say Maybe to find out. This story picks up right where we all wanted to be after Just Say Yes. We get to follow Britt and JR, but we also get to know Nyla and more about the Driskill family. We have still not met JR's parent's but we get a more of a peek from Nyla. We also still don't know who June Parker is and what she did to Hal... hoping we will get that story soon and figure out why it is so hard for Nyla to trust. These characters are amazing and so easy to get lost in. I am very excited to take another trip to Silver Creek and see where this adventure is going. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I love stories that just seamlessly flow into one another. This book takes off where the first book of the series left off -- JR & Britt are in love and happy, but in sort of a secret relationship.
Britt finally landed her dream job but is her terms of employment dictate that she cannot be in a relationship with anyone from the team, much less a member of the family that owns said team. She persuades JR to keep their relationship a secret, which he reluctantly agrees to.
Nyla is JR's sister; she is not the most trusting person, which is to be expected, I guess, given how rich and famous her family is. For some reason, she does not trust Britt (well, not really "for some reason", there IS a reason) and eventually discovers that there is a reason for this mistrust when she finds out about JR & Britt's relationship. Britt is fired, of course, but discovers a new path for her and JR was just right there in front of them. And of course, all roads lead to Silver Creek.
BUT ... and good stories always have a BUT -- Nyla has a secret of her own. She;s had a supposedly no strings affair with Deron, who is a son of their rival family. Love is never simple, right? For me, is is a story about making snap judgements about people and how these snap judgments are almost always wrong. This is also a story about trust and love conquering all, even bitter family rivalries.
I think the joy in reading this book was in seeing Nyla grow - she was a difficult person to like, seemingly obsessed with wealth, power and appearances. Dare I say, she is the exact opposite of JR. However, her character evolves and grows as she comes to terms with her feelings for Deron, and by extension, her feelings for her brother JR and Britt. It's also a story about accepting that sometimes, circumstances are just beyond our control and we cannot fight against love and destiny.
This story was written with the usual Cindy Kirk flair for balancing heat and sweetness. I totally enjoyed this book and cannot wait for more!
**I received an ARC of this book but this review is written voluntarily and all opinions herein are my own.
“Can’t Say No” is an enjoyable short story. We get to see Brittany Appleton and JR Driskill continue their relationship and face some challenges as we step into Book 2 of the Silver Creek Series.
Nyla Driskill is JR’s sister and President of Operations for the Colorado Grizzlies football team and also now Britt’s boss. She meets with Britt and is pretty adamant that there can be no relationship between Britt and JR. Britt is fully on board with standing on her own merit and not wanting people to assume she got the job due to connections with the Driskill family. However, she knows that she is good with what she does and does not plan to give JR up. Nyla, on the other hand, has her own relationship problems. She has a thing for Devon Flock but their families do not get along. She is a Driskill and he is a Flock. The secrets and deceptions begin as both Britt and Nyla have amazing love interests that have to be on the down-low.
As expected, Britt and JR are caught on camera while in public. The news is out and Nyla is outraged with Britt and fires her. Britt finds a way to move on without causing friction between Nyla’s brother and grandmother. She decides to start her own business and work with athletes from all professional sports to promote them.
There are so many good takeaways from this story. I enjoyed the love stories, the forgiving and not holding grudges, which is huge. I look forward to reading more about Nyla and the Driskill family in the next book in the series. This is a very good read and I definitely recommend it. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am happy to voluntarily review it.
In this second part of the trilogy, Nyla Driskill and Deron Flock have developed a relationship. They accidentally met in Paris and for two weeks they had the ideal shared vacation. They fell in love. The problem is, their two families have been bitter enemies since 1929.
For Nyla and Deron that means everything they do together must be done in secret. That is not the way Nyla lives her life. She is a powerful woman who does everything up front and out in the open.
In the first story, Nyla’s brother J R and Britt became a couple. Nyla was angry about their relationship. She never approved such a thing. She took the opportunity to fire Britt from her dream job.
Nyla runs a pro football team and Britt had been hired to do social media publicity. She was great at that job, but Nyla fired her anyway. Rather like cutting off your nose to spite your face. She said it was because Britt and J R kept things a secret.
Now Nyla is in the midst of a very secret relationship with her family’s bitter enemy.
Nyla did not appeal to me a great deal. I understand a woman of power. I do not admire anyone who uses their power to humiliate others. Especially when they enjoy it so much.
Ms Kirk has given the reader characters who are interesting, entertaining and rather human.
I received this book from the author in the hopes of an honest review. I am voluntarily writing this review and all opinions are completely my own.
I look forward to reading the final part of the trilogy.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Book 2 of the Silver Creek series starts where Book 1 left off. Britt Appleton and JR Driskill/Amos Lee have decided to keep seeing each other. Britt finds out that she got an internship with the Grizzlies Organization and has decided to keep their relationship a secret. Britt doesn’t want any special treatment because she is dating JR. Unfortunately an innocent good night kiss blows up her world and Nyla Driskill, JR’s sister and the head of the Grizzlies Organization, fires Britt for being dishonest about her relationship with JR.
Readers get to know Nyla personally and find out that she had unexpected company on her trip to Paris. Nyla was supposed to go to Paris with her boyfriend but he broke up with her right before the trip so she decided to go alone. While in Paris she found a high school friend and they were able to get reacquainted. So much so that she extended her trip by a week. Deron Flock and Nyla had a good time and enjoyed each other’s company. Due to the long-term feud between the Driskill and Flock families. Their connection is undeniable and they have a hard time staying away from each other. Nyla is kerping secrets and realizing that maybe she should have contemplated her decision to fire Britt a little longer before acting.
Don’t worry. You will get all the exciting info on the continuation of JR and Britt’s relationship. The excitement will be overflowing. The mystery of Nyla and Deron’s tryst will captivate you. Getting to know Nyla as a person really makes you see her more as a woman. Will love conquer this long-standing family feud?
“I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.” Can't Say No is the second book in the Silver Creek series & picks up where book 1 left off. JR & Britt are now together but their relationship isn't public. Britt got her job with the Grizzlies but there's a catch - Britt's boss is Nyla Driskill - JR's sister. Nyla isn't impressed that Britt used JR as a reference & wants her to end whatever relationship she has with him. The Driskill family have been hurt in the past & Nyla isn't convinced that Britt isn't out to use her family for personal gain. Britt & JR agree to keep their relationship secret until after Britt's probation period with the Grizzlies. All goes well until a tabloid photographer takes a photo of Britt & JR kissing. Upon discovery of this photo, Nyla fires Britt immediately. Now that Britt no longer works for the Grizzlies, her & JR can go public with their relationship. After meeting with the family, Britt decides to start her own company doing what she was doing at the Grizzlies. The next book in the series deals with Nyla & her secret relationship with Deron Flock whose family are the mortal enemies of the Driskills. Once again, another easy read & a book I couldn't put down! Here's to the next book in the series!

Can't Say No continues where book 1, Just Say Yes ends. Ms. Kirk continues the love story of JR and Britt, while we are truly introduced to his sister, Nyla and Deron Flocks, a Driskill family sworn enemy.
Nyla spends two weeks with Devon in France after she dumps her fiance. When she returns, she meets Britt, who has agreed with JR that she can not be seen in public with him. Nyla also thinks that Britt is a gold digger and not trustworthy. However, after a business dinner with one of the Grizzlies players that JR was invited to, Nyla learns that JR and Britt are still involved and promptly fires Britt and accuses her of lying. Britt claims it is a lie of omission.
JR then proposes to Britt and she accepts. Nyla is still not happy about the situation. Britt is asked to see Nyla is involved with Deron, which she is. When Britt sees Nyla with Deron, she knows that they are involved, but Nyla denies it. Britt does tell JR that she has seen Nyla with Deron, but she does not tell him about how serious she thinks it is.
A great follow up to Just Say Yes. Looking forward to reading Don't Say Maybe, the third book in the trilogy.
Oh my goodness I loved this book it carries on from where the story in Just Say Yes finishes. Britt has been summoned to Nyla Driskill's office when she discovered that JR was her personal reference. Nyla doesn't trust that Britt isn't out to use the family. Nyla insists that the relationship has to end. Britt gets JR to agree that their relationship is kept on the back burner for the length of her probation. This is OK until a tabloid photographer snaps a picture of them kissing. Nyla dismisses her immediately. Britt is very upset naturally.
in the meantime Nyla is hiding her relationship with Deron Flock who are the Driskills sworn enemies. They spent two weeks together in Paris and are very close, if not in love.
when JR no longer has to hide their relationship he takes her to his new penthouse in the Silver Creek building. I'm not going into details of what occurred but if you read the book I'm sure you'll be as moved as I was. Britt decides that she can do what she was doing for the Grizzlies if she goes it alone and starts to build a client base . The end of the book sees JR warning his sister to stay away from Deron Flock. I can't wait to read their story next I received and ARC from the publisher and this is my review

Can't Say No is the second book in the Silver Creek series and continues where book 1, Just Say Yes ends. We follow the love story of JR and Britt, whilst being introduced to his sister, Nyla and Deron Flock.
JR and Britt are in love but Nyla is deeply suspicious of Britt's intentions towards her brother, sure that she is a gold digger who is only out to use the family (both JR and Hal). When she realises the two are still involved she fires Britt from her internship with the Grizzlies. Britt is stunned but takes it on the chin.
Britt then sees Nyla with Deron Flock (the Flocks are the sworn enemies of the Driskells) and realises that that there is more to the couple than meets the eye. But she doesn't expose them and Nyla comes to realise that Britt is the real deal and that she loves JR very much.
This was a wonderful follow up to Just Say Yes and I could not put it down. I now have to read the final book of the trilogy Don't Say Maybe, to find out the deal between Nyla and Deron.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it
This was another great book by Cindy Kirk! I loved how we got to see more about JR and Britt but also got to know his sister Nyla and her affair with Deron who’s romance is forbidden.
Britt and JR grow closer and he asks her to move in. She eventually gets fired by Nyla from PR at the Grizzlies organization for keeping her relationship with JR a secret because a photo of them is leaked to the media. Britt doesn’t let that get her down or stop her from her dream, she just changes the dream. And her relationship with JR is strengthened by their engagement.
Nyla and Deron were high school friends who wanted to be more but because of their families history with each other they could pursue any relationship. They met again in Paris by chance and spent 2 weeks together as a couple but couldn’t show it when they each returned to Denver, even though they have more “Chance” encounters and text messages back and forth. I can’t wait to see how their story turns out!!
I love this series!!!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. The second book in the Silver Creek series and they all need to be read in order. Each book leaves it on a cliff edge of what’s coming next. This novel continues the story of Britt and JR while also starting the story of Nyla and Deron. Nyla and Deron who each come from one side of two families that have been feuding for generations have fallen for each other although they know that their families will not accept it. The families each blame each other that happened generations ago and they are also rivals in business. From having an attraction in high school to bumping into each other in Paris where they fell in love, to coming home and trying to ignore that attraction. It also centres on Nyla not trusting Britt and thinking she is stringing Nyla’s brother JR along. Another excellent book and cannot wait to read the third one. I’m loving this series as much as Cindy’s Good Hope series which is high praise indeed.
Here we are, back into the world at Silver Ridge, home of the Grizzlies...back into the lives of Britt, Amos/JR and now, more importantly Nyla and Deron. Another set of twist and turns, now with the added element of two siblings lives being intertwined. Seemingly forbidden “friendships,” decades long family feuds...social circles seeming to get smaller and smaller.
As we continue to see, watch, fall further in love with Britt and JR, we are equally trying to figure out Nyla’s calculating ways, wondering how this will all end up for her. How are Britt and JR’s family going to take the news of this whirlwind relationship? Will Nyla connect the dots that Britt is only after JR’s money? Is Deron getting close to Nyla for only business reasons?!
Again...another cliffhanger to get us to book three, “Don’t Say Maybe”. I don’t know about you...but I’m ready to see how this next book turns out!

This is the second book in the new Silver Creek series. This book was like two stories intertwined in a really interesting way.
The first story, was about Britt and JR and how their relationship evolved, very quickly. I loved seeing their growth as a couple, and even with a fast paced romance, I still find myself rooting for them! I also really enjoyed seeing Britt find her place and become a little more confident in who she is.
The second story was about Nyla and Deron. Honestly, I am not a fan of Nyla so far. I appreciate that she's in a hard situation, loving someone who her family will not approve of. But I didn't like how she seemed to treat others. I felt like she was very judgemental of others and very reactionary to things happening around her. But, towards the end, I started to soften a little towards her.
I am excited to read the third book in the series and see where Nyla goes. I am hoping she has some big growth, because even though she's super successful, she still seemed immature in other ways.
I love the way that Cindy Kirk can take a book that, even though not long, can evoke a lot of feeling in her characters and readers!

In this second book in the Silver Creek series we continue to catch up with Britt and JR now that they are officially a couple.Britt has taking on a internship with the football team the Grizzles which own by JR's family and run by his sister Nyla. Britt and JR has kept their relationship private from his sister so that Nyla will not judge Britt and possible not give her the position because of Britt relationship with JR. Nyla has just recently come back from France after having her then boyfriend dump her and she ended up going on the trip alone. Unbeknownst to her family she met up with Deron Flocker whose family is a rival to the Driskill since the 1920's. They had a torrid two week affair that she feels can go no further because of their family hatred for each other. I enjoyed that we get like a two for one in this storyline. We get a follow up to how Britt and JR relationship is progressing and we get an introduction to Nyla and Deron and how will their relationship affect both their family. Giving an arch by the author for an honest review.
In “Can’t Say No”; the budding relationship between Britt and JR is blossoming. Unfortunately, the relationship between Britt and The Grizzlies is on the rocks. Nyla Driskill, JR’s sister and head of the Grizzles learned of the relationship Britt has with JR and ended Britt’s career with the franchise before it started. Britt stays up beat and comes up with a plan. Severing that relationship leaves Britt free to be open about how she and JR truly feel about each other. One relationship is now out in the open but another one is still in the shadows. The Russell’s and The Flock’s, Silver Creeks version of “The Hatfield’s & The McCoy’s” might be well know but the romance brewing between Nyla and Deron is on the QT. Good story for Part 2 in the series and following the developing relationships bring us into the family dynamics of the Driskill’s. Family before all other. No surprises. I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book by the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Can't Say No is the second in the trilogy of the Silver Creek series. This is the continuation of Britt and JR's love story and Britt's journey in obtaining her dream job. We are also introduced to the beginning relationship of Nyla and Deron. Britt is determined to keep her relationship with JR a secret until she secures her dream job as media specialist but when a photograph is released of her kissing JR on the cheek she is terminated for lying about her connection to JR. As one dream ends another begins in the form of a true and lasting love as well as a whole new direction in career goals. This is a wonderfully written story that is filled with emotions ranging from tears and sadness to joy and euphoria. The characters are engaging and delightful. This is an amazing series and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Book 2 in this series dives deeper into the love story of Britt and JR. Complicating their lives is JR's sister Nyla Driskill. Despite Nyla making Britt's life harder, Britt is determined to put JR's happiness above all else. Can her kindness rub off on Nyla? Nyla recently ended a relationship but went on a planned couples trip to Paris where she meets and fall in love with old rival Deron Flock. The Driskills and Flocks are long time enemies. Nyla and Deron both know Paris was wonderful but must end when they come home. The question is will Britt win her over so she feels she should fight for love, or convince her love can be wrong and to ignore her heart? Family members play a colorful and endearing role and view into the Driskill dynamics. I cannot wait to see what happens next! I was given an Advanced Readers Copy of the book in exchange for a review. I believe I am a fan of this new Silver Creek series.
I love Cindy Kirk's small town stories and was excited to read this book too. Its a sweet romance, but also a departure from her other books in that you do need to read them in order or you will be lost with this series. We find out what happens when Britt decides to continue her romance with JR and at the same time learn that her future sister in law has also met someone who the family may not approve of. Love is never simple, right? I really like how this is book cautioned about making snap judgements about people and how these snap judgments are almost always wrong. This is also a story about trust and love conquering all, even bitter family rivalries. I love that the second book finished up the story with JR and Britt but also introduced the Nyla and her potential beau. Cant wait to read more! Cindy Kirk never disappoints! *I received an ARC of this book but this review is written voluntarily and all opinions herein are my own.
For the second part of the trilogy, I thought we would be immersed in whatever drama JR and Britt might be going through. Not so much. There were a couple of minor hiccups, but not on the level I expected. I was honestly very glad that was the case.
What I didn't expect was to delve into Nyla's territory as much. Nyla came across to me, as a bit hypocritical, and not very likable. But, at the same time, I felt for the situation she was in with Deron. It does seem ridiculous for this to still be occurring in the 21st century.
I think we need more information about the June Parker situation. It has colored the attitudes of every Driskill family member in some way.
JR and Britt seem to be on their way to a HEA, while Nyla seems to be running headlong into a raging storm. We will see how this all turns out. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I came running to this after reading Just Say Yes, Silver Creek book #1 just to see what would happen next. I was frustrated with Nyla, JR Driskill’s sister and head of the Grizzlies business side and this book didn’t help matters, but it did help me see Nyla through a different lens. Nyla wants a love of her own, and her trust issues and maybe a hint of jealousy may make her the bad guy. Britt is determined to show that she is worthy of working for Nyla and the Grizzlies, without any connections. She’s out to get her dream job in PR for the Grizzlies, but her relationship gets in the way of her reputation and Nyla isn’t having any of it. Britt proves how strong and resilient she is and rises above to a whole new level of happily ever after. Will Nyla get her happy ending though?
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is 2nd behind Just Say Yes. This is a continuation of JR and Britt, and also introduces us to Nyla, JRs sister and her "friend" Deron Flock. The Driskills and the Flocks are enemies. Their relatives were friends and did business. The Stock Market Crash of '29 tore up that business when they lost everything. Nyla spent time with Deron in Paris, back home she tries not to let anyone see them together. Nyla fires Britt when she found that that she lied about her and JR/Amos. Britt decides to start her own business, doing PR and social media for famous athletes. JR moves into Silver Creek, and invites Britt to move in with him with a ring and a question. Nyla is upset they are moving so fast. Short story that continues in Don't Say Maybe.
I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second book in the series and I will tell you right away that if you haven't read "Just say yes" you won't enjoy this book until you do. That being said I couldn't wait to read this one after finishing the first book in the series. This was the first book I've read of Cindy's where the story of the main characters continued into the second book. I enjoyed how the book not only continued with Britt and JR's story but also introduced you to more of Nyla and Deron's story which is continued in the 3rd book. I was actually really surprised about how some of the issues were handled in the book and it was a refreshing change to see it not turn out the way I expected. Again, I couldn't wait to start on the next book in the series.

In book 2 of the Silver Creek series, we meet Nyla Driskill, chief of operations of the Colorado Grizzlies football team. She is the sister of JR Driskill. JR’s girlfriend, Britt, has just been given a 30 day internship as a social media specialist for the Grizzlies. Britt used JR as a reference on her application; however, Nyla doesn’t think a relationship ( friendship or otherwise) between Britt & JR would be wise. Britt wants to earn the position on her own merits, so she is keeping her relationship with JR on the down low.
Nyla recently took a trip to Paris & bumped into Deron Flock. There has been a long standing feud between the Driskill & Flock families going back to the stock market crash in 1929. Nyla & Deron were interested in each other in their teen years but pressure from both families kept them from pursuing a relationship. After a vacation fling began in Paris, they have returned stateside. Nyla thinks what happened in Paris should stay in Paris. Deron does not agree. Nyla can’t resist Deron, so they continue their relationship on the down low.
Two women. Two secret relationships. Read on to find out what happens.

Can't say no is the 3# book in the Silver Creek series.
Britt struggles with trying to keep her relationship separate from her position with the Grizzlies and Nyla. However Nyla suspects something isn't right, that is until Britt goes to interview one of the Grizzlies players to try and boost his part helps in the game and community. JR turns up just as the interview starts and asks to sit in, when the interview is over JR walks Britt to her car, and she can't contain her excitement over the interview and reaches up to kiss JR. Unfortunately for them there is a journalist nearby with their camera and catch the moment to be published in the next days paper. Nyla isn't happy and fires Britt.
Can their love bring them closer or drive them further apart?

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher but I am reviewing it voluntarily. This book is a continuation of JR and Britt’s story but also the beginning of Deron and Nyla’s story.
I loved how this book continues with the romance of JR and Britt! Allows the reader to learn more about them as a couple.
It also introduces Nyla (JR’s sister) and her love interest Deron. Deron and Nyla went to high school together and when things started growing in their relationship back then their families put an end to it. They reconnected in Paris and the relationship blossomed.
This book was hard to put down! It was such a good read! I really enjoy Cindy Kirk’s books and this one did not disappoint at all!
After reading book 1 in this series, I could not wait to read this one. JR and Brittany’s story really is a story of true love. It was sad to me to read how JR’s sister treated Brittany. Coming from such a prominent family with money and power it was important to Brittany to show she is capable of making her own way and didn’t need JR to take care of her. I really enjoyed reading about how their love grew through the obstacles they were faced with because of the family JR comes from and seeing Brittany’s strong stand to prove herself without help. I highly recommend this sweet romance! I can’t wait to read the next one! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is the 2nd book in this series & a follow on from the 1st book. Another fabulous written book by Cindy Kirk, about families & love. I absolutely adore Britt’s character, her zest for life is incredible. Unfortunately Britt’s 30 day internship with Grizzlies is terminated when JR’s sister Nyla finds out about their secret relationship. Britt handles this like a pro! Little does she realise that this is a blessing in disguise. It’s a reminder I’m life that things always have a way of working out the way it is meant to. Nyla is trying to keep her own relationship with Deron Flock a secret. The Flock’s & Driskill’s have had in ongoing family feud for years. I won’t go into too much detail & spoil it for you What I will say is that secrets always come out in the end.
This book is a continuation of Brittany Appleton and JR Driskill’s story and the start of Nyla Driskill and Deron Flock’s story.
Britt has been fired from the Grizzlies internship and decided to start her own social media company. Britt and JR are now engaged and living together.
Nyla and Deron ran into each other by chance in Paris and spent two weeks sightseeing together. Now that they are back in Denver they are seeing each other occasionally very discreetly. Will the bad feelings between the two families drive them apart?
I received an ARC from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
