Cerberus MC #18.5

A Very Cerberus Christmas

Rate this book
As a child, I believed Christmas wishes were supposed to come true.
As an adult, I realized making those wishes were pointless.
As an original member of the Cerberus MC, I knew hard work and determination is what brought a good outcome so I stopped making wishes.
I didn’t ask for Lucy or her son Harley, but when having them became a reality I knew I needed to hold on tight.
Her past makes her decisions for her, and letting them go will be the hardest thing I’ll ever do.

A Very Cerberus Christmas is a 45,000-word novel featuring Micah "Snake" Cobreski.

✰♡ Festive Five Star Read ♡✰
⭐️🎅🏼⭐️🎅🏼⭐️🎅🏼⭐️🎅🏼⭐️

Prepare to lose your heart to Micah “Snake” Cobreski as he proves himself to be one of the good ones, all whilst proving to be trustworthy and more than willing to shoulder some of the burden when it comes to hard working single mum Lucy, she works her fingers to the bone ensuring that her six year old son Harley has a roof over his head and food in his stomach, even if that means she often has to go without herself. Lucy doesn't plan on letting another man in especially after all the troubles she endured with her ex-husband. Only the more she gets to know Snake the harder she falls, and just when she’s beginning to realise that there’s nothing to be ashamed of by letting your guard down and sharing your burdens with another, her ex is back on the scene.

Is the exes reappearance about to put a stop to the blossoming romance between Snake and Lucy? Or will Snake, like many a Cerberus man before him, fight for the woman who’s captured his heart?

This was one cracker of a read, perfect for this time of year although not all was merry and bright, and that reason amongst many others made it even more of a fabulous read, with great banter and cameos from some familiar faces this was another fantastic addition to the Cerberus series.

4.5 Star review of A Very Cerberus Christmas (Cerberus MC) by Marie James
Although I have read a number of books by Marie James I have not read any of the Cerberus MC books. I believe you can read this as a stand alone but I do think you might get more enjoyment if you have read previous books in the Cerberus series.
This is original member of the Cerberus MC, Micah "Snake" Cobreski and single mum Lucy’s story. It was a quick read but the story was well developed and I found myself fully invested in their story. Lucy has had a hard life but she has pulled herself up and is doing her very best to make a good life for her and her six year old son Harley.
My heart just about melted with the relationship that Snake has with Harley, it made him totally swoon worthy. The chemistry between Snake and Lucy is intense but it was the emotional journey that really tugged at my heart.
There were moments that I wanted to scream at the characters , I laughed, I cried and the epilogue was totally satisfying. When time permits I will be reading more in the series.

This is the first hook I have read in the Cerberus MC Series but after reading A Very Cerberus Christmas, I’m going to check out the other books in the series. This is certainly a book that can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone but I’m sure like me, if this is your first book in this series you will be left wanting to play catch-up with the previous books.
This is Cerberus MC member Micah “Snake” Cobreski and single mum Lucy and her son Harley’s story. Lucy is working hard to keep a roof over her and six year old Harley’s head, she won’t take charity but it’s not charity that Micah is offering. From the moment they meet sparks fly but she is not looking for a relationship, especially with a member of a MC so what will it take for Lucy to take a chance on Snake and love ……
This book touched me on so many levels, the relationship and bond Snake shared with Harley melted my heart, I smiled, i laughed , I swooned and at times I found myself screaming at my kindle but overall this book was an entertaining, witty read filled with love, witty banter and Christmas Spirit.

Christmas Day Novella was Awful

This story was not enjoyable. I do not understand the why this story was written in this fashion. No, I did not like this story. I enjoyed the other books for Cerberus MC. I liked the individuality that Marie James brought to each MC member and their match. This supposedly Christmas novella was awful. The Christmas scene was horrible for Snake, Micah, and Lucy! Who writes a Christmas book and makes that day lame. No, the ending did not make up for the sad story. Very disappointed!

Heartwarming MC Holiday Book

The Cerberus men always have great stories and this one was no different. This is Micah/Snake’s story and he finally gets his HEA in this heartfelt story. It revolves a single mom who is raising a sweet little boy named Harley. His name isn’t lost on the biker whose bike he just happens to climb onto while waiting for his mom at a gas station. Lucy has a hard life trying to do the best for her son which she is raising into a great boy.

Micah and Lucy start to form a bond and even better is the bond that Micah and Harley are forming. There is unexpected turn of events that put all of their relationships on the line. Hearts are broken only to be healed again and the epilogue is outstanding. I highly recommend not only this book but this series!!

A fantastic addition to the series! This is an emotional story that had my heart stopping for a while. Snake and Lucy are a great couple and little Harley. Snake has no intention of following his brothers into relationships but he is letting Lucy in. When Lucy‘s past catches up with her will she run with Harley?

Micah "Snake" is a single guy in the mc with no intention of settling down like his biker brothers. Lucy is a single mom trying her best to raise her son Harley. She hasn't had an easy life and her past is coming back to haunt her. Once she and Snake meet because of her son, Snake falls for Lucy hard. The two end up in a steamy romance. Can Snake keep Lucy and Harley safe from her past?

Lucy was a single mom just trying to keep food on the table for herself and her son Harley. With no help from Harley’s father as he is in jail she is left on her own to figure things out. She wasnt looking for love however it came right to her. Snake was the man that she was warned to stay away from. The type of man that will only cause trouble. However he proves to be so much more than that. Everything is going great until her exhusband if released from prison and is now standing on her doorstep. Torn she makes the worst decision. The only things that matters is her son. But what about her?

Okay, just because I technically am a huge Grinch fan I feel Grinch should have been the focus of this book. I mean you can't do a Christmas book without the Grinch,LOL!
On to the review: I really liked going back to the OG'S. Seeing/reading the stories inbetween the original Cerberus and the Newbs. Seeing the diversity in paths truly made me smile.
As for the characters? Snake seemed too good to be true. Lucy needs to be thankful the man put up with her constantly pushing him away. Now that is some serious love right there.
Overall this really was a feel good romance throwback. Seeing where people were in their lives and within the MC. It's sexy, sweet, warm, and nostalgic. A nice read for the holiday season.

Outstanding Holiday addition to the Series. Ms. James’ Cerberus MC books never disappoint me. Her attention to details, her writing style and her well defined characters always make her books top notch, in this readers humble opinion. Her Cerberus men are what book boyfriends are made of. They are rough around the edges, fierce, dedicated to the club and the clubs work yet boy to they have a softer side when it comes to their women. And Micah “Snake” Cobreski is no exception.

A Cerberus Christmas is a quick read full of sad times, joyous times, and romance. It’s the time of year for Miracles but Snake and Lucy don’t really believe in them. They have both had too much sadness and hardship in their pasts. Lucy is a struggling single mom who has been badly burned in the past. She has little trust in people, especially men, and struggles day to day just to give her son, Harley, all she possibly can. Snake meets Harley by chance. A chance meeting that scares his mom when she walks up. But it also sparked something in Snake he’s never felt. After one meeting he knows he wants to know more about Harley and his mom. But with his past and hers is there any chance they can move forward?

I fell in love with Harley from the very start. He is a precious young boy full of smiles and laughter no matter how bad life throws things at him and his mom. But let me tell you Harley and Snake melted my heart. This tough as nails man and this precocious little boy are something else. Kudos Ms. James for one book I know this reader will be reading over and over at christmas time.

Highly recommend grabbing it up asap (and if you haven’t started the series, it’s a must).

A Very Cerberus Christmas is a holiday novel set in the Cerberus MC world. This is Snake’s story that takes place in the time right after Snatch’s story.

It was so great to revisit the Original guys for a minute. I had always wondered about Snake and some of the other guys, and what their lives had held for them.

Micah “Snake” Cobreski’s story did not disappoint. He is such a genuine guy who puts others feeling in front of his own. When he meets a single mom with the cutest 6 year old at a gas station one afternoon, he is smitten from the word go. A chance meeting and a quick repair just cements that this woman is the one for him.

Lucy is just trying to make ends meet and take care of her son, Harley, best she can. Even though it is hard and she goes without most of the time, she always does her best to make sure Harley has what he needs. She’s strong and independent and doesn’t like owing favors and the biker, that just seems to keep showing up, is racking up on those. Only thing is he doesn’t see it that way, she doesn’t owe him anything for his kindness.

I have to mention Harley in this review. He is the most awesome little boy. Polite, thoughtful and smart. He’s as inquisitive, if not more than most six year olds and I just fell in love with his little heart.

Snake and Lucy don’t always have smooth sailing and the tough times are really tough, but in the end they both have to make some tough decisions but the pay off is so worth it.

I absolutely loved this book as I have all the others! Thank you Ms. James for another amazing story! Can’t wait to read the rest of Cerberus and Harley’s story.

I honestly wasn’t sure I could love a Cerberus novella as much as a full-length story. Not that I doubted the author’s skills, but more I love all the detail, all the character building, and all the plot twists in a full-length book, and I wasn’t sure I would get the full effect in a shorter story. But boy was I wrong. This book gave me all the feels and love I normally get by the time I finish reading The End. Snake was all the kindness, respectful, loyal, all-around great guy that Marie James is famous for. I wanted so badly for things to work out for him, and even if the ending wasn’t quite what I expected, it worked out so brilliantly that I was happy to be surprised. Lucy was a little different then the other leading ladies that are normally featured in Cerberus novels, but I actually liked that. Even as I struggled with some of her choices because I wanted my HEA faster, I still could understand and respect them. It just further goes to impress me that this author continues to change up her characters and show people from all walks of life. Snake’s story was not only perfect in and of itself, but I LOVED the setup for another next book. This was a great addition to the series; it both took us back to the time of the originals and gave us a glimpse into the future. The holiday season aspect was just an added bonus. I highly recommend this book.

A Very Cerberus Christmas
By: Marie James

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review by Kristie K

I have no words…It was so good!!

The men of Cerberus have always been a favorite of mine, and yes, I have favorites among those favorites…Micah “Snake” Cobreski just landed in the top three of those favorites. I can’t tell you just how much I loved this book! Snake is everything we love about the men of Cerberus, and his story definitely did the series proud. From his history of service, to his unerring sense of honor and loyalty, Snake is the whole swoony package. Add in a selfless single mother, and their tale of self discovery, new love, tough choices, and utter heartbreak…and you have this epic story of Snake and Lucy. I could read this again and again and enjoy it just as much. Marie James brought her signature style, with cameos from several of those favorites I mentioned, and knocked it out of the park. Some authors aren’t able to bring new life to a series after so many installments, but Marie just keeps us begging for more. These men will always have a special place in my heart, and Snake has just squeezed his way in there too. Can’t wait for the next!!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, and new beginnings.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Kincaid (Cerberus MC, #1)
SINdicate (Cerberus MC #1.5)
Kid (Cerberus MC, #2)
Shadow (Cerberus MC #3)
Dominic (Cerberus MC #4)
Snatch (Cerberus MC, #5)
Lawson (Cerberus MC 2.0 Second Generation, #1)
Hound (Cerberus 2.0 #2)
Griffin (Cerberus MC #8)
Samson (Cerberus MC #9)
Tug (Cerberus MC #10)
Scooter (Cerberus MC #11)
Cannon (Cerberus MC, #12)
Rocker (Cerberus MC #13)
Colton (Cerberus MC #14)
Drew (Cerberus MC #15)
Jinx (Cerberus MC #16)
Thumper (Cerberus MC #17)
Apollo (Cerberus MC #18)

This is Lucy and Snake (Micah)’s story. Lucy has not had the best life, but she is trying to make the most of it. She has a son and is raising him the best way she can. If she has to go without things so he has a roof and food she does. To her it’s all about him. Snake comes in and right away wants to help her and take some of her burdens away. The chemistry is hot, and they fall hard. But everything is not always easy. But can they deal with the hard stuff and still build a future together?

I recommend this book.

I was happy to see Snake finally got his story. I was disappointed Snake's book wasn't since the Christmas eve scene that was also in Snatch's book. It immediately went into the second generation book so we never got a story for Ace and others. Wonder if they will ever get a book which doesn't seem like it since all new books are second generation. I would of like to hear what happens to Snake and Lucy after. Did they have kids?

I was glad to see who Harley was. I remember seeing his name as a future book and wondered who he was ..now I know. I will assume his story will be very different from the others since it shows he's already married with a child before he enrolls with the MC.

I absolutely love Snake on this book. I would of never guessed him turning out this way. I was honestly disappointed in Lucy. Where my heart was out for her and her struggles I wasn't happy her willing to up and relocate to follow her ex around despite her son expressing he wasn't interested in moving and prefer Snake over his dad. I was sad to see Snake quit the MC to move to follow her and never returned.

There are just no words to describe just how fabulous this story is, Marie James has once again pulled out all the stops with A Very Cerberus Christmas, a truly sensationally pull at your heartstrings MC epic and the perfect story to get you in the Christmas mood. Don't let the cover fool you though, because it wouldn't be a Ms James book without some tears along the way and Micah "Snake" Cobreski is going to steal your heart and your soul as he sets about proving to single mom Lucy that he can shoulder some of her burden, as she works hard to ensure her 6-year son Harley has a roof over his head and food in his belly even if sometimes she has to go without. But as Lucy starts to get to know the Cerberus MC and Micah and starts to believe that sharing your burden with someone else is not a sign of weakness, her ex-husband could be about to stop all that.

I just want to read Lucy, Micah and Harleys story again and again and the epilogue has just whetted my appetite for more Cerberus. Wonderful

Why the 4 and 5 Star Reviews???? Christmas?? This was a horrible Christmas book and Lucy was an idiot. What woman would make the choices she did?? Her ex saw his son once a month for his entire life and this dumb woman decides to give up her life and follow him? No!

It made zero sense, especially since the kid didn't want to. The kid loved Micah and so did Lucy but she pushes him away for umm, no reason?? The men around her knew what was right, but she somehow figured giving up her life to follow a felon she didn't love was ok. Her kid was miserable at the prospect of leaving and this woman who supposedly puts her kid first ignores it. The only person who thought the choice to leave was right was her and it made no sense at all.

So what happens? Snake leaves HIS life behind to follow them out of state. The dad? Yeah, he ends up back on drugs and out of their lives a year later. I mean, how was any of this the best ending?

Didn't enjoy this at all. 2 stars only because of the other members.

A Very Cerberus Christmas had me feeling highly emotional. Snake and Lucy’s story was one that grabbed my heart instantly. A single mum romance that has a connection and chemistry between these two sparking off the pages. Snake’s relationship with Harley is one that has you swooning and your heart melting. A story of sacrifices in the name of love will at times have your heart breaking. This might have been a novella but the passion, love and heart that the author has instilled with her words give this an intensity that you would only expect in a full novel. These two at times frustrated me not taking what their hearts wanted. This story was realistic in the fact that as a mother we abandon our own wants and needs for our children. I smiled, laughed, yelled and cried a tear or two both in sadness and happiness. The characters and the storyline stole my heart and soul and the epilogue was the icing on a perfect cake.

A Very Cerberus Christmas finally gives us the story of what happened with Snake from some of the earlier books. I always wondered where he disappeared to and Marie James did not disappoint with this story.

Snake is just what you would expect from a Cerberus bachelor. Serious when the situation calls for it but knows just how to have fun.

Snake was minding his business at the gas station when a little boy made his way onto Snake's motorcycle. Imagine his surprise when the little boy's spitfire of a mother comes storming over.

Lucy is less than thrilled to see her son on some strange guy's motorcycle. She knows exactly the kind of man that rides those and she can't get her son away fast enough.

But fate always has a few tricks up her sleeve and it's no different for these two. After running into each other again, Snake knows there is something special there, but can he convince Lucy.

How much are they willing to sacrifice for each other and will it be enough?

Lucy is a single mom barely making ends meet but determined to be the best mom she can be for her son Harley. His dad is in prison and Lucy doesn’t have a relationship with him anymore, other than trying to coparent the best they can giving them circumstances. One day they’re getting gas and Harley meets Micah “Snake” Cobreski and sparks fly between him and Lucy but he’s a biker and for her that’s bad news. She leaves without any other interaction but life is determined to bring them together again and they end up sharing a meal at a dinner. Little by little Micah snakes into Lucy and Harley’s lives, pun intended 😏
I love MC romance novels and this was no different. Micah is a good man with a rough (but beautiful) exterior. Lucy is a strong woman trying to do what she thinks is best for her son, despite not being what’s best for her. I loved Micah so much, the way he tries to be there for Lucy and Harley, swoon! And now I can’t wait to read Harley’s story! He’s such an amazing kid.

This was such a sweet novella & the perfect addition to this series. Lucy was one hard working single mom & I love how she turned her life around to become the mom Harley deserved. She did everything in her power to give Harley a good life. Harley was the cutest kid & so well behaved & understanding, Lucy did an amazing job raising him. As much as I loved Lucy, I wanted to smack her near the end. She put Snake through so much pain & I didn’t agree with her decisions at all, I could somewhat understand them but I thought it was stupid. Snake was amazing, I loved him right from the beginning. He was so sweet, understanding, helpful & just loving towards both Lucy & Harley.

The ending was a surprise though, a very pleasant surprise. That epilogue was also so surprising & sweet. It’s got me excited for future books in this series!

This is a novella in the Cerberus series featuring Micah "Snake" Cobreski. A sweet story about a single mom, Lucy, who is down on her luck but doing the best she can to raise her 6 year old, Harley. But a chance meeting at a gas station turns both their worlds upside down. And then another meeting at the diner, how can Lucy not fall for Micah?
Micah, is in the MC Cerberus and now he has to convince Lucy their club is different, they help people and their community.
When Lucy's past, Harley's dad, comes back into her life she has to choose what and who is best for her and her son.
The ending was a surprise and the epilogue was a wonderful peak into the next book in this series.
Once again, Marie James has kept me turning pages! Now to dive into the beginning of the Cerberus world!!

Snake/Micah & Lucy + Harley

Just because all the Cerberus guys were settling with families didn't mean Snake planned to join them...until he met little Harley and his mom. The kid was something else and with that name, he had to be. His mom has done a great job he later learned all alone. Beautiful and strong, a little sassy, when he ran across them again it was meant to be. It took patience but they were worth it.

A biker? How could she be drawn to a biker with her history? If he wasn't so hot and good with her son she'd never let him in. But when things changed would she give up her chance with him? Would he give her up?

I expected a group get-together story, not a romance that was touching, hot, sad, and made me root for them. The author left a surprise for fans at the end. Now we just have to have patience.

100 Cerberus Christmas Stars for this book!

It's been a while since I have given 100 Stars but this story was just so beautiful. When you see it's about an MC, sorry but you might think tattoos, drinking and wild nights. I almost wasn't going to read it. It's nothing like I thought.. It was a love story between a single mother (Lucy), her son (Harley) and Micah. She was marred at one time to Harley's father (Robbie) but he had problems with drugs and was in and out of jail. Lucy met Micah who showed her what true love was all about but she still left him to move where Robbie was going to work, for their son. I just can't explain how much this book was so touching. Can't tell you the number of times I cried for the three of them. Such a good book. Read it for yourself and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)

I'm guilty. I was saving this paperback to be read in December during my Christmas reading month. But the Author shared the blurb on social media and I caved!
As it started out, I was reminiscent of Kincaid! But of course the story took on a life of it's own and I was feeling empathy for Lucy. I've been that single mom. Then the tables turned and I was a bit angry with Lucy and feeling the pain of Snake. The ending didn't turn out as I had planned in my head. It was a good ending, just not what I expected. I LOVED the epilogue! (DO NOT jump to the epilogue. It won't have the same meaning without reading the story thru first.)
Great characters and awesome Cerberus support! An enjoyable story read in one evening!

Aww I loved Micah and Lucy so much..... Lucy is a single mom trying to do her best to raise her 6 year old Harley. She has two change meeting with a biker and she not sure what to think but when he keeps showing up at her home to help her out she can't help but start to fall.... Micah better know as snake is a member of the cerberus mc. He fell for Lucy the frist time he meet her. The more time she spend with her and Harley the more he falls but Lucy starts to pull away.... faced with a choice she don't wanna make she choices what's best for her son.... but was it really the best choice because it means leaveing Micah behind..... I loved how selfless Micah is and show how a real man is .... this is another great book by Marie james

AVCC by M. James is a novel in the Creberus MC Series. This is Lucy and Micah's story.
Micah, a member of the Cerberus MC, is one of the few single men in the club. And when he has his meet cute, he's in for a wild ride, only he doesn't knows it.
Lucy is a single mom with an adorable 6 year old that soon became my absolute favorite character.
Lucy works hard to make ends meet, and when she meets Micah she's very reluctant to open her heart. But Micah doesn't gives up.
AVCC is a story with the right amount of everything. The hero is alpha, but knows when to retreat and give the heroine space. The heroine, I was really torn about her, sorry not sorry no spoilers here. And the sidekick is just überadorable. An all in all fantastic read with just the right of sweet, 5 stars.

Single parent stories are a favorite of mine, so I was excited for this one. I could not get enough of Micah and Lucy so of course, I could not put this book down. I love where Micah’s road name came from and I liked hearing more of his backstory. He is so sweet and considerate and Harley was so lucky to have him in his life. When Harley would stand up and be all protective of his mom, I couldn’t help but grin. Lucy always worked so hard to be a great mom even though life started out rough for them. She sacrificed her own happiness for the sake of her son. I appreciate how patient and loving M was with Harley and the genuine affection he showed made me swoon. Micah and Lucy are fire and I want him to call me sweetheart forever.
