Storm Company is scattered. Magic is out of reach. The beasts are charging.
Zeke and his friends have been with each other constantly since coming to Brindolla. They found the power to support themselves via potent magic that would make their wildest dreams back on earth seem tame.
All of that comes crashing down when one of War’s Generals manages to wound Orlow’thes, the guardian of the waters, near the Continent of Beasts. Their fight scattered Storm Company to the winds, and this place only gets weirder and wilder as time passes.
Zeke is now sick and unable to touch his magic. Only Bea has remained at his side, and together they need to hunt for a cure. The only other option is to wait it out and hope his friends survive. Yet, waiting has never been his style. It’s time to brave the strongest beasts and the most cunning of beings.
Time for the fight against War to go Into the Wild.
The axe druid gang / Storm Company recover from book 5 in a very different place, and their power and connections continue to grow. They manage a boss fight against the guy who whipped them last time. Lots of fun to this point. But then the final-final boss fight was a little chaotic with the action jumping all over the place and feeling tacked onto hurry to the end.
Storm Company made it to the Continent of Beasts in rough shape. Battered, divided, and stripped of their magic is not a good way to start their journey on the continent. It will take a lot of skill, planning, and luck to be able to pull off taking down the final two generals of War.
Again, the rehash at the front of the book is great. This new continent has some cool mechanics and fantastic characters. Finishing up this series made High Table Hijinks make a lot more sense. I’m really excited to start up the sequel series, Brindollan Affairs. I listened to this as part of the books 4-6 omnibus. BJ Harrison did a great job with the narration!
Reading this series was an amazing experience! I have never been so fully pulled into a story like I have this one. Definitely a must read and I can't wait to see what Chris brings to us next!
A very well written ending to a very well written series. Lot of fun and adventure. Sad that it is over but happy to hear that new adventures are on the horizon.
The journey through the wilds, and regaining his strength was pretty awesome. But the last couple chapters fighting the final general and the big bad just felt anticlimactic. It was interesting, I enjoyed it, and I wouldn't mind reading more from this author. I just felt like that last general and the big bad should have been it's own book, but perhaps there wasn't enough to give a full book so he just added it at the end of this one to get it finished.

A tasty final to the current series. I still enjoyed the characters immensely. The end(?) Of the story covered everything. However I felt rushed for the first time ever. Like someone had taken two final books and edited them together for one. Still good.
One of the few series and stories that got me close to crying, I felt like I was right along side storm company for all the hurt and humph getting dolled out to demons, dragons, elves, and the ever raucous dwarves. And of course to the heroes as well. An amazing series, and definitely on my bookshelf as a favored and cherished adventure.
I burnt through this book, like a raging fire. This series is one of my favorites in the genre. I look forward to more by Chris. Great author, check out his other series as well.
The plot was predictable, the character cast wide varied, funny but predictable. Somehow feel the universe does not have much juice for a spin off the author is planning with a rushed ending in the current series. But good series overall.
Christopher Johns finishes his truly epic saga in Into The Wild:An Epic LitRPG Series (Axe Druid Book 6). A fitting ending to one of the best series in the genre. Highly recommended!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the series in general, but the ending of this book felt a little unfulfilled. Lots of stuff I wanted a bit more closure on...but hey, all in all one of the better series as a whole that I've read in a while.
