We recently saw Red in the book before this one. His parents divorced when he was younger. I feel so sorry for Red. He gave up being with the one woman who makes him happy. He has been torturing himself for years just because of his past.

Jo will do anything to not be alone. I was hoping we will find out more about her dad. I can't believe Red had that treatment done to him voluntarily but thank God he did.

If you love a bit of suspense with your romance you definitely will love this series. Hot alpha men saving their women and being their everything.

This is a spin off series of the original Damien Stark Romance/Mysteries. I love all the characters. This particular story was some new characters mixed with STARK SECURITY old and a few new members. The Romance between the two MC's Jo and Red was the main focus and it was hot. The mystery took secondary place which was good since this is a romance. It was a short story but introduced some other STARK SECURITY Team members: Damien Stark (Nikki), Ryan Hunter (Jaime),Emma Tucker (Toni), Quincy Radcliffe (Eliza ), Renly Cooper(Abby), Simon, Leah, Liam (Xena), "Mason & Denise (Baby)"mentioned.

One thing I love about these books is we always get to visit with other characters from the Stark world. I love seeing Ryan, Jamie, Damien, Nikki and many others even when the books aren’t about them. This book starts out a bit different as we have Red coming to meet his business partner/BFF at their distillery only to find what at first glance looks like a suicide. It quickly evolves into so much more and he and his friends wife (his other BFF) are now racing against the clock to figure out what is going on before they are the next victims. This was a great book that I read cover to cover in one night because I couldn’t put it down. Definitely a must read if you love the Stark world books!

Not what I expected l, but I skimmed a lot in this book which is unusual for a Kenner novel.

I felt like Jo kept repeating about her issues with Mel and her history with Red. It became overloaded and to my opinion was not needed. I liked the action it brought, but I felt like there were loopholes that didn’t connect in the end. I expected more lust and steamy scenes, but that wasn’t given either… just seemed off for Kenner to write a book like this.

It has potential, but not what I expected. (*shrugs)

Here we are in book seven of this series – and it’s really nice to see the new members of the team that we get introduced to in each installment. Last time we got to see Renly’s story and now it’s time for his twin brother Red’s saga.

This story takes us on a twisted path that we should have figured out at the very beginning yet the way that the story is told, it’s round about and we don’t figure it out as a reader until about 2/3 of the way through. (at least that was me).

So, to take a step back, Red is our leading guy in this story – he was part of the Special Forces and has had quite a bit of trauma coming out of it. We know that he’s got these tells of sorts of things that trigger him, but we don’t really know the full back story. Then there’s Josephine (Jo) – she’s our leading lady. Red, Jo and her husband were all fast friends back in college and that carried over to their adult life. They opened the whiskey distillery together and that’s where our story takes it’s dark turn.

Red received a text to meet his partner at the distillery and when Red gets there, he discovers that things are not as they should be. Alerts and alarms have been turned off and the worst thing imaginable, he finds his friend, face down, dead in one of the vats.

The story from here on out follows several paths. The first is trying to find out what Mitch had gotten himself into and what that means for Red and Jo. The people who murdered Mitch quickly get in contact with Red and tell him that they know there’s a package stolen and if he and Jo don’t find it quickly, then people will slowly die.

The next path is the one with Jo and Red. What we learn throughout this story is that not only were these guys all the best of friends, there was chemistry between Jo and Red before she even got with her husband. There was a moment one night that Red forced an end to and that left them both wondering, but also made Red realize that he couldn’t have the one perfect thing in his life since he had his own demons.

We know that any person who goes to work for Stark has a haunted past and it’ll be a process to dig under the skin and figure out what are the triggers and how to get past. Red is exactly following that same situation and it’s nice that he’s got someone like Jo that can read him and a twin in Renly that cares so much.

The story takes us on flashes of the past, but uncertainties of the present. Every step that Red and Jo make is met with someone trying to do them harm, in the hopes that it’ll get the result that they’re looking for. Stolen goods. Each time that Stark believes they have the upper hand, something goes wrong.

We see people come back from the presumed dead, we see lies and mysteries revealed meaning that we never really knew the people that we thought we knew, There’s a kidnapping, several deaths, a few breakthroughs and an ending that was unexpected, but appropriate none the less.

This contemporary romance revolves around three best friends who own a local brewery. Charlie “Red” Cooper is a former special forces agent who had a traumatic past and finds his partner and best friend Mel’s suicide “Sorry” beside his drowned body in a beer vat. The third bestie is Jo who just happens to be Mel’s new widow. As she is thrown by the suicide, she was already done with the marriage. While really pining for the other bestie – Red.

As they are trying to accommodate the demands of the mysterious texting killers, Red finds that he needs to protect Jo. He has always wanted her, but while in the service, his absence created the relationship between Mel and Jo. So this is kind of a love triangle and with one of the three gone, this creates a forced proximity between Jo and Red to cultivate their secret pining for each other.



Red is haunted by a previous mission that resulted in his being held hostage for over a year. What transpires is a crazy twisting suspense that finds Red facing past villains while trying to keep Jo safe. We see some of our friends from the Stark Security group including the gorgeous Damien and his adorable wife Nikki. A lot of the social interaction revolves around Red’s brother Renly and Abby’s wedding from J Kenner’s Memories of You. Kenner also sprinkled some Devlin (Fallen Saint series) teasers with the newest Stark recruit, Simon.

Ravaged with You is a dramatic romantic suspense with several surprises in the ending. J Kenner is so good at setting up the couple’s attraction and always some serious sexy times. Even though this book is part of the Stark Security series, it is totally readable as a standalone.

This story hooked me up, it's a great romantic suspense with mystery and our beloved Stark security. I really enjoyed a strong female character, their emotions and story kept me captivated. Jo and Red definitely will keep you reading until you solve it all. Great chemistry and a plot that will hook you from the start, and cherry on top you get to see some beloved characters.

I am constantly surprised at how Ms Kenner consistently comes up with crazy out here storyline’s that suck you in then spit you out the other side. I love that Damien Stark plays a role on all of them, albeit small, he’s my happy place!

Best friends since college, Red, Mel and Jo founded and built a distillery together, the group have always handled everything as a team, so when Red discovers Mel, dead in one of the tubs with a message saying “sorry”, left shocked and devastated Red calls Jo about the suicide. While still married Jo had fallen out of love with Mel, she’d served divorce papers that were never signed, but his death just creates more questions, when a call comes in demanding what he had stolen..

The mind boggles, and as Red and Jo pull everything they can to find out what Mel was really up to, it is Damien, Ryan and the stark Security team whom help, it’s not long until they find it wasn’t suicide but indeed murder… and Red is going to find it has everything yo do with him! His past will rear its ugly head, bring up horrible memories and bring it all to the here and now.

No longer just himself, Red does everything to keep Jo safe too. The pair have always been close but now they find solace in each other’s arms and bed, but with the bad guys literally on their tales it all comes to an explosive end! Think guns, and knives… all the good stuff, but who cones out in top? One click and find out!!

5 When the Past Comes Back Stars!!

One thing I love about Ms. Kenner’s writing is her ability to draw me in into her books with the right amount of suspense, chemistry between characters and a storyline that grabs me by my throat and doesn’t let go until the very last page. And in Red and Jo’s story, all of this comes into play from the minute Red steps into the distillery looking for one of his partners.

I certainly wasn’t expecting the why’s of this suspense. The horribleness of what Red and Jo had to discover and go through had my eyes going wide! There’s an evilness in those they’re fighting against and the secrets that are revealed are gasp-worthy. Red is a man that we don’t know too much about but this book definitely answers a lot of my questions and my heart was so tortured for him. One thing that’s apparent with everything they went through is the love they’ve both tried to deny over the years comes to the forefront and allows them to fight even harder for their love and the answers they’re seeking!

Along the way to solving the mystery, we get little bits of “easter eggs” that as a fan of Ms. Kenner’s writing and books, brought a smile to my face because these characters are small but perfect additions to this entire storyline! While this book brings closure to open wounds for our H/h, we’re given a little hint of what’s to come next for the men and women of Stark Security!

We finally get the story of Charlie "Red" Cooper, whom we first met in Cherish Me. He's also the twin brother or Renly Cooper, who was featured in Memories of You, when he became the latest addition to the Stark Security team. Red's past life as a special forces agent left him scarred in more ways than one, and he's learned to keep those demons at bay. When he finds his business partner and best friend drowned in one of their distillery's fermentation barrels, haunting memories come rushing back. When he receives proof that Mel's death was not a suicide, he realizes an unknown force now threatens his new life and Mel's wife, Jo, who is the other surviving business partner. The three of them had been best friends since college, and neither Jo nor Red can figure out the dangerous company Mel was involved with. Memories of his last mission continue to haunt his present and destroyed the future he was hoping to have with Jo upon his return. His and her feelings intensify as they try to uncover the secrets Mel left behind, and Jo continues to fight for the love Red won't allow them to have. The suspense and intrigue to uncover the dangerous mystery, and the internal struggle Red fights for his sanity creates an epic conclusion to this story!

Let me start by saying, I love how all of these books are standalone, but when characters pop up from other books that Ms. Kenner writes, it feels like family. That being said, I'm not completely sold on this particular story, hence the 4*'s, anything associated with Damien Stark is usually a solid 5*. But such is the standard that has been previously set. Back to this story. Three friends, Red, Mel and Jo join together in business and two of them in marriage (Mel and Jo). When Mel commits suicide, it comes to light that everything may not be as it appears and now Jo and Red could be in trouble too. For years Jo has loved Red, but Red thinks he is unworthy and incapable of having a relationship because of trauma that occurred many years ago when Red was held captive and tortured while on a mission. How can Red keep Jo safe without giving in to his desire to possess and ravage her, when he has to keep in such close proximity and his body is constantly betraying him. The writing as always is fantastic, but I felt this story was a little rushed and although there were a few steamy scenes, there were definitely not enough of them.

As always J Kenner continues to amaze me with her writing. I love how characters from other storylines intertwine seamlessly into this story. It’s as if she planned it long ago…which I’m sure she did….it’s just the readers that have been in the dark.

This book definitely touches on heavy subjects. As always, it’s approached with the attention and respect that you’d expect of J Kenner.

This book hits on so many emotions. You will feel the rage of frustration, empathy, sitting on the edge of your seat trying to solve the mystery, fanning yourself, grief stricken, praying for forgiveness and healing…and so much more!

What a crazy and twisted mystery for Red and Jo to unravel. Red carries deep scars, both seen and unseen, that cause him to keep avoid relationships. He does cherish the friendships he has with Mel and Jo. When Mel is found dead at the distillery, he finds himself thrown back into a world he has fought to forget to save his and Jo’s life. For Jo, Red and Mel are her best friends and the family she desperately needed. Her attraction to Red was always stronger but he pushed her away when he returned from service. Marrying Mel gave her the stability she craved yet that wasn’t the strongest relationship. Finding herself fighting to save her life while unraveling the mystery behind Mel’s death is the last thing she expects. But maybe this is the best way to get Red to realize they need to take a chance at love instead of running from it. This is a captivating and compelling journey that kept me guessing. I love that this couple got a second chance at love. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

5 Star Review Ravaged With You (Stark Security #7) by J Kenner

Having read the previous books in this series I was excited to read Ravaged With You. As I have come to expect from a book by J.Kenner it was well written with characters who are engaging and whose story I quickly became invested in. This time we have Charlie “Red” Cooper and Josephine Swift’s story and it was a good example of the romantic suspense genre of which Ms.Kenner writes so well.

From the first chapter till the last I hooked and had a hard time putting this one down when real life got in my way. After finding his best friend dead, Red will need to draw on all of his military training to not only find out the truth but also protect the woman he loves, his best friends wife, Josephine.

When danger rears it’ head , will Red be able to keep Jo safe? Ravaged With You is a good addition to the series, fast paced, full of suspense, heat and danger and one I happily recommend.

Oh, these men of Stark Security are just.......swoon-worthy!! Red is no exception!

So we have Charlie "Red" Cooper, ex- SOC operator and current co-owner of Swift Red Distillery. Trying to put his tortured past behind him, and keep his demons at bay, he's just trying to live a normal life - well, as normal as he can. Then tragedy strikes and Red and his business partner's wife, Jo, find themselves embroiled in a situation of mystery and danger - one that may lead to loss of life - theirs.

Red is my favorite kind of hero. The man that feels that his past has made him a monster, undeserving of love. The kind of man that no woman should waste their time on. And Jo? Well, she's just awesome. She's strong, and relentless in her attempts to break down those walls that Red has put up around himself.

I loved this story and these two characters!! I love everything Stark and this was an amazing addition!!

A wonderful addition to the Stark Security Series and if you love romantic suspense you will want to one click Charlie “ Red “ Cooper and. Josephine Swift’s story. It didn’t take very long for me to become invested in their journey and there was no putting down until I had read the final line.
When Red finds his best friend dead he needs to dig deep into his military training to find out what really happened but this isn’t just about finding why and who killed him, it’s also about protecting the woman he loves who was also his best friends wife Josephine, but when things get dangerous will he be able to keep her safe…..
This is a well written, fast paced story that will appeal to all romantic suspense lovers, it’s has the perfect mix of love, suspense and passion with characters you can’t help falling for and finally I highly recommend this gem of a read.

Ravaged with You made my heart speed! The what ifs and what happened was soaring through my head. I loved the angst J. Kenner gives this story. There is so much that you have those "Need to know now" moments. I was glued to this book and couldn't get through each page fast enough.

I came to love Jo and Red. There is a mystery surrounded with Mel, you just can't believe what happened. The Stark Security team is on it and what they uncover can not be undone. It was just mind boggling.

The chemistry and heat factor is definitely woven in this story. You get so much that its hard when you get to the end. But it was an ending that had me loving these book folks even more. Plus I love when other beloved characters make a cameo <3

Ravaged With You by J. Kenner is book 7 in the Stark Security Series. This is the story of Josephine Swift 'Jo' and Charlie Cooper 'Red'. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one. But, I do think you can make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Jo was married to Mel who along with Charlie were friends that had started a Distillery. Red had always seem to feel more for Jo but due to friendship nothing further went between them. Red was once was a Special Forces soldier but due to a traumatic incident he is no longer. Finding his friend Mel dead brought back some past issues but he works to protect Jo. Jo is livid with finding out all that her husband has been into which has lead to this point. I always enjoy Ms. Kenner's books and this was on the mark as usual.

I love everything Stark!!

Action from the start when Red finds his best friend, Mel, dead in their distillery. Jo was married to Mel and is Red’s best friend, also. They’ve been best friends for years. It’s ironic that she had feelings for Red, but he kept pushing her away. He’s had an awful past, one that’s hard to imagine. She settled for Mel. She loved him, but was not in love with him. Now they are in a web of murder and are in fear of being murdered, too. They have to find something that the criminals are looking for. But, they are looking for revenge above all else. These two character’s love story is one to be savored. It’s extremely difficult for Red. You feel everything he is feeling through the words of the author. It’s amazing how J. Kenner writes these books. They are exceptional.

Charlie "Red"Cooper,Mel and Josephine three good friends from college Red goes into Special Forces as a soldier and Despite the feelings between Red and Jo on his return he won't act upon them and Jo marries Mel. They go into the distillery business together. When Red goes into the distillery one day looking for Mel he notices a lot of things wrong. He finds Mel in one of the fermentation bins dead. It looks like a suicide or is it a murder? Red agrees with the Police to rule it as a suicide. He gets in touch with Ryan Murphy from Stark International Security to start with the investigation . Red had been a prisoner of a Human Trafficking Ring and was brutally tortured. This story is full of action,steamy hot chemistry between Jo and Red. All of the Stark World characters make an appearance. A must read.

Emotional, steamy, heart breaking and overall fantastic story!

Red, Jo and Mel have been close friends for years. Red love’s his friends, but he has been in love with Jo for years. Unfortunately, his time serving his country has made him damaged. A type of damage he doesn’t believe he will ever overcome. Jo married one of her best friends, just not the one she truly wanted. When a tragic event happens to Mel, Red and Jo will have to work together to try and figure out what happened. The chemistry, passion and laughter will draw you in from page one.

One of the things I love about J. Kenner is her ability to bring characters and story lines from different series together. This is another great example of that. A definite must read!!

This Friends to Lovers book grabs your attention right from the beginning. It's filled with mystery, suspense, and romance. It's a story of second chances and friendship. It's also a story of love's strong ability to overcome even the darkest of shadows and demons. After best friends and husband Moe is murdered, Charlie "Red" Cooper and Jo must solve the mystery of who did it and why. Truths come out, secrets are revealed, and light overcomes dark in this unpredictable story line. This is a must read for all who follow the Stark Universe series of books. It is another look into the ever growing family of Stark Security and mentions/involves many of the other characters and a few new ones.

“Ravaged with You” follows Whiskey Distillery owner & Nikki Stark’s lifesaver), Red Cooper, as he discovers his best friend Mel’s suicidal body. Red has a lot of secrets from his past and sometimes secrets come back to haunt you.
Paralegal Jo is Mel’s widow and partial owner in the distillery with the boys. She doesn’t know all of Red’s secrets, and certainly not Mel’s when she learns of his death. Can Jo survive the past secrets that have come to haunt Red and figure out what happened to her husband in the mean time?
There’s a lot of spy espionage in this thriller along with a very sassy heroine and a man who wants to keep the past buried.
Warning Trigger: There is mention and description of sexual abuse & trafficking.

The world of Stark Security continues with Red (from Cherish Me) and Jo’s story. A detailed action packed story with chemistry and a little bit of a slow burn. Some of the story felt repetitive in the sense that certain details kept being unnecessarily brought up. Red is the classic damaged hero that this author is known for writing. Jo wasn’t my favorite of the author’s heroines, but the story definitely kept me full engaged. If there had been more bedroom fun, this would have hands down a five start read. The book also sets up for the next Stark Security story and the next Damien and Nikki story.

Woo hoo! I was stoked to read this book! Red's life hasn't been easy. In fact, there are still demons he's dealing with. But there's a tragic loss in his life that bring this to the forefront. And I SO enjoyed the danger lurking around them. I was lost in the mystery and their journey. Red has people in his life that enabled him to start the investigation and to help him on his quest. Jo has been in his life for years and the chemistry between them is simmering beneath the surface. The slow burn was intense and the story drew me in. I couldn't read this book fast enough! I simply loved everything about it and I can't recommend it enough.

Red is owning a distillery with his to best friends Mel and Jo who are married. They started it after a mission Red was in that got terrible wrong and left him alive but broken. Now he find his best friend Mel dead. He is been killed but they made it look like suicide. The killers what what Mel has been keeping away from them or they will get killed as well. Red is determined to find the killers and to keep Jo safe. A woman he has been in love with for years. Can he keep Jo safe, find the killers and save their life’s and maybe find love and happiness too. I loved this book it was filled with action and I just couldn’t put it down. A fantastic book

This is the seventh book in the Stark Security Series. Jo and Red's story is action packed, and suspenseful, filled with mystery, secrets, and twists and turns. Red is a handsome and protective former Special Forces soldier. Jo is beautiful and strong. They share a sizzling chemistry. This is a great friends to lovers, and an entertaining romantic suspense, and a great addition to the series. The supporting characters are amazing. I loved to see again the characters from the first books in the series, and to see again the very handsome Damien. I enjoyed it. If you like Romantic Suspense, this Series is definitely for you!

This book will have you on the edge of your seat. You will not be able to put this down.

This is the story about Red. His past and present are now cloliede together. But he does not know that at first. Red find his BFF dead, at first he thinks he killed himself, but later figured out someone killed him, but who, why. What did he do, or did he know.

Now Red and Jo( his BFF wife, and the woman he always loved) must find out. Because now there life's are both in danger.

Red asked help from his twin brother and also Damien Stark. To help him find out what happened.

Whatever is coming Red and Jo way, Red will do whatever it takes to keep Jo safe. Even if that bring up his past.

I love Red and Jo’s story!

Ok.. so I love ALL of the books in the Stark world… so, sue me! Red finds one of his best friends dead in their whiskey distillery. It looks like suicide…. Mel wouldn’t kill himself… Mels soon to be ex-wife, the other best friend, can’t believe it either. What happens in the rest of the book? It’s filled with mystery, intrigue, and a meeting of two like minds!

J Kenner is an exceptional story teller. The Stark world is one of my very favorite places to spend time in! There’s always something new and exciting there! You all should visit there too!
