Sasha Shaw is a burlesque performer sick of temp work, sex work, restraining orders, and men who throw themselves out of windows after she reveals her true glory. After all, she might be an eldritch horror, but she's an artiste. When her gangster uncle gives her the opportunity to star in a snuff film in Brighton, she jumps at the chance to shine - and her blood-soaked rise to stardom on the dark web is the career boost she'll kill for.
Tosh Haraldson is an erratic, mediocre hitman sick of "collecting" people for shady Avery Medical in Chicago, and increasingly desperate to be reunited with his runaway little sister and escape his overbearing, homophobic family. When he tracks his sister down to Brighton, England, he gets a job "collecting" people for a snuff film racket, immediately makes an enemy-lover nemesis in one of his boss's lads, and falls hard for the otherworldly, out-of-bounds Sasha Shaw...
Can Tosh find his sister and a path to redemption, or will he embrace the match made in hell? Either way, there's a chance he'll end up as an unwilling co-star in Sasha's sinister gorelesque performance, and his troubles are only just beginning...

C. M. Rosens is an author of dark, genre-bending speculative fiction, particularly Gothic horror with tentacles and eldritch family drama, with body horror as a recurring theme. She is mainly to be found travelling between the hills of Wales and the plains of England, but loves visiting friends and family all over the world when she can. She has a PhD in a niche area of Medieval British Studies, and these days mostly applies her research skills in fiction rather than academia, which she enjoyed but doesn't miss. Her work is heavily influenced by the histories, mythologies and folklore of places she grew up in and lived as an adult.
