Nicolas Karlsson is the face of the Colorado Grizzlies – and a sunglass company, a cologne, boots, a clothing designer…the list goes on. This endless list of endorsements has filled his bank accounts, and totally erased his ability to go anywhere anonymously…
Zoe Gordon sealed herself up into a safe, secure bubble decades ago. Her heart was shredded and she had way more important things to worry about than herself. She had a son. That was all that mattered. He was all that mattered. She did everything she could to secure his future. When she needed solace, she turned to painting.
But her son is an adult now, playing in the NHL, living out his dream and encouraging her to live out hers as an artist.
The artist part she could do. It was the living part she couldn’t quite get a handle on. What more did she need anyway? She liked her solitude. She liked her little world. It was quiet, peaceful, safe.
Until it wasn’t.
Nicolas Karlsson shredded that bubble and dared her to feel. And what is so wrong with that? Other than the fact that he is a dozen years younger…
Welcome to the Mile High City, home of the Colorado Grizzlies
WARNING: This book contains mention of an off the page suicide.
Skylar Platt writes unputdownable swoon-worthy hockey romance with characters who have been described as perfectly imperfect.
She created the Colorado Grizzlies hockey romance series. And when she isn't hanging out with this constantly growing group of characters, she can be found snuggling with her rescued hounds watching the Washington Capitals and Colorado Avalanche. Or chasing after her chickens....or the fox that is chasing her chickens!
She has always loved sports and was a sportswriter back in the days when the first thing everyone did was open the newspaper to see the scores from the night before!
Skylar loves to hear from readers and learn more about you.
This was a quick read but packed with many amazing things you’d except from a romance book. It had the perfect amount of steam, drama and sweetness that made the story well balanced. Nic and Zoe met after a minor car accident, and it was evident early on that their attraction to each other was off the chains.
You can tell Skylar Platt’s love for hockey and I appreciated that. Even though this is a hockey/sports romance, it didn’t overwhelm their love story.
The ending was sweet and I can’t wait to read book two of the series.
I liked this book and will probably read the rest of the series. I like that it didn’t drag on and on. All in all a fairly short book with some steamy loves scenes but not too much. Even thought they were 12 yrs apart I thought they worked together. I agreed with her friend about kicking her sons ass for what he said to her. My son would never get away with talking to me like that that .
Zoe Gordon is an artist who stays off the internet and holed up in her mountain home. Her son is her life, and she hasn’t lived for just her since the moment he was born. Nicolas Karlsson is the captain of the Colorado Grizzlies, his life is an endless series of paparazzi and fans and fame. He desperately wishes to escape it, but he can’t. When the unlikely pair meet, sparks fly instantly. Nic makes Zoe feel beautiful and seen, and Zoe grounds Nic and makes him feel like a man, not just a professional hockey player. But will Zoe’s fears and Nic’s fame ruin their relationship? Find out in “All of Me,” the first novel in the Colorado Grizzlies series by Skylar Platt!
Okay, so this was a strong start to a new hockey romance series. I did like the reverse age gap between Zoe and Nic as that isn’t always done well. I think Platt excels at this trope, especially considering this is her debut novel. It has lighthearted moments and funny banter, although there are angsty scenes as well. All in all, I liked it!
I love a good age gap, whirlwind romance! And this book has all the perfect ingredients - the mild angst, the insecurity, the reassuring, self assured HOT HOT HOT NHL star 🔥🔥🔥. Nic and Zoe are so good together and their chemistry is strong from the start. It's the perfect sexy read for when you're short of time.
I read this series out of order, starting with Levi/Devyn (Book 2), then Travis/Brittany (Book 3) and then this book. I binged this series in only a few days.
They are all great, but this is definitely the best of the bunch. Oh my heart. What a wonderful story with fantastic characters. I absolutely loved this book. I don't even know what else to say. Strongly recommend!! (Why are there no more books in this series yet?!?! I need more!!!)
These two characters come crashing into each other both figuratively an literally. Nic was in town for one thing to be left alone from the the spotlight his life brings as a NHL star and Zoe is an artist who could care less about the NHL, she doesn’t follow the local team so when he comes face to face with Nic she just takes him as a gorgeous man who’s there to comfort her when needed.
The week these two spend together awakes a side of Zoe she didn’t know she needed. An the chemistry is off the charts. The age difference isn’t the only obstacle these two face, Zoe’s 25 year old son Travis also plays in the NHL.
This book has such a great beginning middle an end. I couldn’t put it down because i wanted to see how this all pans out and let me tell you it doesn’t disappoint. This was my first book by Skyler Platt and I will be reading the rest of the series for sure.
So if you are looking for a little bit of an age gap mixed in with some steamy hockey moments then you need to go ahead and put this on your TBR pile.
I adored this book from the first chapter. Nic and Zoe are such a beautiful couple and meet under some pretty unexpected circumstances. While her son is a hockey player, Zoe doesn't follow the sport and doesn't recognize Nic as a well known NHL player. Their relationship is tested on more than one occasion, but their love remains the same. They each have obstacles to overcome for their relationship to move forward, but this story is a great introduction into the series. The character development and story were woven wonderfully and I felt like there was plenty of insight into a few of the key characters that will be making appearances in the future.
This story pulled at my heartstrings in the best of ways and gave me all the feels. If you're a fan of hockey romance pick this book up, you won't regret it! The best part is that Book 2 is already out so I'm going to go and try that one out next.
I am a huge sports romance fan and am always looking for my next hockey read. All Of Me was on my never ending TBR list waiting to be picked up. After seeing a post on social media, I bumped it up to the top and sat my butt down and devoured it. What can I say other than, well done Skylar, well done!
All Of Me was the perfect read in one sitting romance. Zoe is a mature older woman. A painter, a mother, a beautiful, closed off mess. Nic is big hearted, sexy as sin, and team captain. Older than your average player, he is amazing on and off the ice. They meet under difficult circumstances and hit it off. Their story develops over time and it is a beautiful, albeit, complicated one. It made my heart happy and has guaranteed a place for Skylar Platt on my top hockey romance writers list. Well done, well done. TBR All Of Me and Enjoy.
Nic and Zoe This book was so good! I love the older woman/younger man trope and the fact he plays hockey with her son just adds a refreshing twist to the story and amps up the drama so much! They have both had rough lives and they totally deserve the HEA they find with each other! This book is part of an interconnected standalone series, so it doesn’t need to be read in order. It is definitely a must read story for all my romance lovers!
If you like hockey in a story you will love this book. If you like a small amount of sports in a book you will love this book. It has just the right amount of both. I loved this book and can't wait for the next one. I couldn't put it down and read it until the end and want to start reading it again.
I am a longtime hockey fan and have a hard time reading romances from authors who do not understand the game. This author totally gets it. This is also an older woman younger man romance, one of my favorite sub genres, and she got that right too. Loved this.
A sweet hockey romance with an age gap worth rooting for. Hell yes to a heroine in her fifties, and a hero pushing forty. Love to see varying age rep in romance. The Colorado landscape and the hockey background are nice, too. The author also does a good job setting up the next book in the series. Well done.
VERY poorly written. Among other things, the author does not write setting well. I'm mystified by the amount of 5 star reviews, unless they were purchased. Premise was cool. Too bad it was mutilated by the awful time skips without as much as a line of transition and the ever-popular lack of setting to the point of characters floating in the damned air.
Fast paced, hot, but still with heart. The age gap worked beautifully, and I really enjoyed that we meet both Zoe and Nic mot at their best... it made it so much sweeter.
Really a great love story between an older women with an mid 30’s hockey player. I could see myself in Zoe shoes. A beleivable love story. A discovry of this author for me and I will definatly read more of her.
This is a great shorter read (less then 200 pages). It revolves around Nic, a hockey player who, for the first time in a long time, meets a woman who doesn’t know who he is. Zoe has kept herself closed off from most men in order to focus on raising her son, who is now in the NHL.
This chance meeting starts a whirlwind romance that isn’t without its challenges. Nic is an absolutely sweetheart of a man & I love how he is with Zoe. These two are just adorable together.
Since it is a bit of a shorter book & it takes place over a year, there is some time skips in the storytelling, but it is well written.
Overall I loved the book & definitely will be reading the next one.
Nic & Zoe This put an uncommon spin on hockey romance with Both Zoe & Nicole being older, him 38 & her older than him, it then ramps up the off limits relationship with her son being introduced. I liked their ages, they were written appropriately, with Zoe, thankfully, not being portrayed as past it. I would have like some better indications of the timeline, it takes place over a year I think. I liked the pace but it wasn't always clear that there had been a new scene start. Zoe had grown up with a judgemental mother & exhusband but refused to fit the stepford wife mould. This still causes her to doubt Nic's desire for her though & is crucial to the story.
I so loved this book. Even though there were things I think I'd have liked more of, it's still a 5 star story for me. I loved Zoe and Nic. It has sweetness and steaminess and laughs and uncertainty and misunderstandings and a HEA. And I loved it. What a love story.
I love hockey and was intrigued with the age gap story line in my favor for a change! Grabbed me from the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down. I want to live in this world
