I fell in love with the Badass Brats series pretty much from the first line of The Dom with a Safeword. The characters, the relationships, the kink ...it all blended seamlessly in the first three books.
This latest addition to the series is no different and, in my opinion, may actually be the best of the series so far. Reece and Scarlet are amazingly hot and sexy together, but they're also fun and real. Women with real issues, fears and worries. Adding Malachi into their lives, not only adds a lot of positives, like fun, friendship and hot sex, but adds to some of those worries too. What makes this whole thing work is that all three of them just suck you in, makes you want to see them all happy.
I absolutely fell in love with Malachi. Which shocked me, cause I was pretty sure Jude had my heart. He's hot, sexy, talented, funny, a smartass and a sweetheart. I want a Malachi of my very own!!! I'll even deal with his Houdini chickens! I may even want a Scarlet of my own ...that Reece is one lucky woman!
The story of these three coming together is at turns funny, tender, sexy and emotional. Let me tell you, reading this book during a bus commute made for some uncomfortable rides ...cause these ladies now hot to turn up the heat, sexiness and kinkiness for their characters. I swear I was ready to go and find the nearest dining room table, hopefully equipped with a Dom and Domme, after one scene :)
I won't lie, there were times when I simply teared up and times when I out-and-out cried. Scarlet and Reece's skype session and Scarlet's despair preceding it had me an emotional mess. But I think that shows the talent of the authors, to write characters that come to life. Where you are not only invested in seeing them happy, but where you can see a part of yourself in them. Seeing the insecurities and worries of all three, "hearing" Scarlet and Malachi saying things that I've said to myself, that just makes them so much more real.
I think it's amazing how well three authors can come together to create such amazing characters and wonderful stories. Sorcha, Leia and Cari definitely have another winner on their hands with this one. Can't wait for the next installment :)
The Brats are back, well a new set of brats with a Dom that you will absolutely fall in love with. And, once again, our authors take us on one hell of a ride through the wonderful world of BDSM, A tickle here, a slap there and one hell of a tongue!
We met Malachi, our wonderfully tattooed Dom in “The Dom with the Perfect Brats”. And, I think, we all fell in love with him there. The goatee, the tats and and an oh, so sexy body! Yep, in love. How can you resist a Dom that has a sense of humor, can go from relaxed to Uber Dom in a minute and use his tongue in ways that you could only dream about? He’s agreed to help Reece and Scarlet get their kink on since they can’t seem to find it themselves. Yes, he’s even kind and helpful. Of course, he didn’t realize that Reece is his secret love from high school. The girl that he put down, was mean to, ridiculed and made fun of just so that he could be accepted. But, guess what, she recognizes him as soon as she sees him and lets him know it.
Reece is a little insecure (thanks in part, to Mil ache in high school) and does not understand why someone like Scarlet would love her. She’s turned her life around, accepted that she is bi-sexual, found the woman of her dreams (after a bad break-up), and now she has to put up with the bastard from her past? Nope, she doesn’t think so. But, Scarlet has other ideas – she wants Milachi to train them and “Kitten” will do whatever it takes to keep her Scarlet happy. He claims he changed and has apologized for his past behavior. She is going to have to trust that he means it but is having a hard time accepting it – even after he professed his love for her in high school. And, she’s convinced that she’s a switch – there is no way that she is a Submissive, is there? Scarlet can’t believe that Reece would want such a butch, skinny woman like her. But, she’s doing whatever it takes to keep Reece, even scening with a man. Nope, she’s not a lesbian, she’s bi, but she won’t admit it. Milachi “tops” her and gives her the pain she needs which makes her fall a little in love with him. But, like I said, who wouldn’t fall in love with him? Reece just does not have it in her to give her the pain that she needs so she is going to have to live with what she can get – Reece’s love and eventual submission.
So, the three of them are together. Having dinners, talking, playing “Call of Duty”, sewing, laughing and just having a wonderful time. Milachi is teaching Scarlet how to Domme and convincing Reece that she is a Submissive. They all have pasts, secrets and secret desires. Malachi’s past comes back to haunt him; Reece lives up to her past and faces her family; Scarlet needs to convince her mother that Milachi is not going to come between her and Reece. And, in the end, they all realize that they can’t live without each other and that all the pain, sacrifices and past hurts are worth putting aside to live a happy life together. Everyone is back, Jude, Q and Sabrina; Cross, Gemma and Izzy and it was great catching up with all of them. But, I have to say that Milachi is wonderful! Such a sweet Dom that will do whatever he has to do to make Reece and Scarlet happy. Even walk away. I had a hard time warming up to Reece. I was yelling at the book “You can’t look to the future if you’re holding on to your past!” But, she finally came through for me and made me look forward to her scenes with both Milachi and Scarlet. As for Scarlet, she was the least complicated of the three. Yes, she had some insecurities, she had a hard time accepting that she could fall in love with a man. But she was so cute when she Dommed her “Kitten”. Yes, Kitty is writing a review about a Kitten, her Domme and her Dom! Well, this Kitty could only wish that she could turn into a Kitten and have the Dom With the Clever Tongue find her … So, what more can I say except that I loved this book. Black, Shaw and Silverwood write such a cohesive, erotic and sexy story mixing love, laughter and sex scenes that will have you squirming in your seats. They had me laughing out loud (um, my co-workers wanted to know what I was reading), bitching at Reece, and feeling sorry for Scarlet. Then, I cried at the end with the HEA that they gave them. Enjoy!
I'm not great at writing reviews, but I will do my best. I loved this story! This one is my favorite from this series so far. The tattoo scene was HOT as hell! I loved the wrestling match and I am sure that it was just the first of many. The ending was a little sappy, but since I am a hopeless old romantic I totally enjoyed it. On to the next story although I'm not sure that one will be my thing since it doesn't sound like it is my type of kink. LOL
I enjoyed this story even more the second time around.
This has been one of the best series I have come across so far. Cari, Sorcha and Leia are amazing at writing characters that are easy to love and believe in. Their characters have real issues and real emotions that many of us can relate to. The Dom with the Clever Tongue just solidifies my thoughts on this.
Scarlet and Reese have been involved for over a year and their relationship is going strong but they want to spice up things in the bedroom. However they can’t figure out how to work the kink into their play. Enter Malachi, an unattached Dom who just might have a thing or two to teach these to lovely ladies.
I absolutely fell in love with these three. They are so cute in their love towards the others and Malachi will be sure to get your panties in a knot <3 I mean who doesn’t love a pirate with tattoos? Oh I I have to add I didn’t know a tattoo gun could cause so many orgasms…..
In all this is a great continuation of the Badass Brats series and I love the fact that we got to visit with some of the past characters in this book to. But if you haven’t read the rest of the series you can definitely read this as a standalone also. But I can promise if you do you’ll be buying the rest shortly after!

Reese and Scarlet are a passionately in love lesbian couple who want to bring kink into their lives but they just can’t seem to get their kink on. Enter Malachi, an experienced Dom who’s been recommended by friends as a possible answer to their problem. As the three of them move closer and closer together they all begin to wonder if their association will destroy the girl’s relationship or perhaps Malachi himself is what the girls have needed all along. This is the premise of the latest outing in Black, Shaw, and Silverwood’s Badass Brats Series, and, in my opinion, it’s the best in the series.
The three authors have definitely hit their stride in being able to write together. In the other books they seemed to have mastered making a story that seemed to speak with one voice. The level they’ve achieved here with this book is some really awesome character development. We get into the minds of these characters and really feel their struggle over what they are feeling and their joy in being together. The sex scenes in this book are not only hot but emotionally charged. The BDSM in the book is realistic and very well portrayed.
On a side note it was really cool connecting with characters from the past books and seeing what they were up to.
I wholeheartedly endorse this book being added to your reading list.
This book might be my favorite in this series so far! I love it so much I didn't want it to end! I need to read it again just so I can have more time with Malachi! WHEW! I love that guy! What I truly enjoy about this series is that there is humor and what I imagine to be a more realistic depiction of some people's struggles with their lives. In the first two books, there was internal struggle about being bisexual. This one takes a different spin in that the struggle is about WHERE DO I FIT IN in the lifestyle, what role do I play. That is a very realistic struggle for some who are entering the lifestyle. And because the characters are written so down to earth it is very easy to relate to each of their feelings and struggles. The girls love is so intense and viable that you can feel it when you read it. And Malachi - gosh - he is just the most amazing Dom. I dare you not to crush on him with in the first few pages of the book. I loved this one. And now, because I'm greedy...I just want more!! So write faster ladies!! :)
4.5 stars "Mmm...spaghetti. Are these homemade meatballs?" "Yup. It was the easiest way to get my balls in your mouth."
Just one of those funny lines these three toss at each other. Malachi, Scarlet, Reece.
A little kink and comedy in one place. Good story, great kink and got to love the emotional hang ups that stumble along. Not every relationship is perfect, traditional or vanilla but none-the-less these three, Scarlet, Reece, and Malachi, make theirs work for them.
* was good enough for a re-read and still enjoyed it **reread 2016 and still enjoyed the hell out of it.
I really liked this book Malachi was very patient with them the only regret is that I would have liked a little background on them why Scarlett was so unsure of herself that goes for Reece to and why she thought her family wouldn't except Scarlett or Malachi. This book did show me one thing you should never let things be unsaid communication is the key to any relationship and they were to afraid to tell each other how they felt
FTC : I was given this review copy by one of the authors in exchange for a fair and honest review. Although I do speak to Cari on a regular basis through online means, this did not influence my review.
This may be one of my favourite of the series and I have enjoyed them all. With feisty characters and a Dom who was forever Captain Jack Sparrow in my head, I enjoyed this fast paced andfun tale. I am ever amazed that three authors can create such a seamless story..I have no idea how they do it.
Scarlett and Reece are in a happy lesbian relationship that is in danger of fizzing out. They are completely compatible in every place except the bedroom where something is missing. Reece needs to be Dominated but, untrained and unwilling to submit and be seen as “weak”, no matter how hard Scarlett tries to Top her, their sex life is frustrating and unfulfilling. Scarlett is a Masochistic Dom but those two things don’t go together in her head. Worse, it actually upsets Reece to cause her any pain which means that that side of her kink remains unfulfilled. Their inability to satisfy each other in the bedroom looks to rot the foundations of their relationship and in desperation they turn to an existing Dom, a man who will train them to satisfy each other. The only problem is that this is the man who tormented Reece for most of her teenage years.
I enjoyed the pairing between Scarlett and Reece. Both women had their insecurities but the love between them was apparent. I had nothing but respect for them for turning to Malachi for help; they saw a problem in their relationship that needed fixing and they decided that they loved each other too much not to do everything in their power to fix it. I had so much respect for Reece by the end of the book because she put aside her personal objections to give Malachi a chance. True, if he had still been the boy he was she would never have carried on with the “lessons”, but he had sufficiently evolved enough to get a chance from her.
Malachi is a sexy tattooist who has just been dumped by his former sub for not being the Dom she wanted. Laid back, he found himself unable to be the Master that she wanted and so he finds himself single and mopey… that is until he agrees to tutor the two girls. He has the same initial responses that I’m pretty sure most males would have (lesbian sex seems to be a massive male fantasy) but soon sees the women beneath. Reece has always been his fantasy woman (he made her life miserable because he liked her) but soon he starts to see Scarlett’s good points too. He loves that he can play computer games with her, that he can talk to her as individual and that he can make her orgasm with his tattoo gun (I explained that she was a masochist right?). The only problem for him is that she is a lesbian and so has no attraction to him…or so he is led to believe. I loved the character of Malachi. It is not too often that I find a Dom who I would not also describe as "Alpha" but I believe that he is too laid back and fun to be the classic Alpha. He was a bit of a revelation and a whole lot swoon-worthy.
As much as the girls could only see their sexual incompatibilities, it wasn’t until they allowed Malachi into their lives that I could see where their differences lay. He fit into gaps that they didn’t know existed… I loved reading about them. The sex scenes were off the freaking chain too… these three authors never fail to disappoint with the erotic content of their stories. The domination is high, the pain content isn’t massive and the humiliation is very limited; basically, it is my ideal BDSM combination.
Overall, a winning addition to the series. With fabulous characters and amazingly well crafted sex scenes, this is an erotic ménage I recommend.

Oh how I love this series. Ever since I stepped outside my reading comfort zone and dove into the Badass Brats world I have been hooked. Leia, Sorcha and Cari have done a magnificent job working together to create not only an awesome series but amazing characters that leave you melting in your panties. I love the wittiness in this series and the Dom’s OMG HOTTNESS on a stick. I never thought I would pick up a book with F/F sex in it but I took a chance on this series and haven’t looked back. It’s awesome, amazing and a MUST READ!!!
I do love the girls, Reese and Scarlet in the Clever Dom, but of course Malachi is my favorite. Who doesn’t love a delicious Dom. Scarlett and Reese are what keep the story interesting and add a whole new heat level to the steamy bedroom play scenes. With the girls looking to bring some kink into their relationship who better to guide them then the ever experienced Dom Malachi. *SIGH* As the three grow closer together concerns begin to arise and fear that the girl’s relationship may be hindered by Malachi’s presence or could he be just what they need and not know it yet. SO READ IT!!!! You will NOT be sorry you picked up this book or the Badass Brats series. It may take you outside your personal comfort zone but will surely rock your book world.

Reese and Scarlet are in a loving relationship, but they both want to explore BDSM. After trying on their own and failing they decide to talk to some friends about getting some help. A Dom with some experience is recommended to help coach them along as they explore. Enters Malachi, an experienced Dom who is more than willing to help these two sexy girls find their way in the BDSM world. The only problem is that he is falling for both Reese and Scarlet. Malachi's last sub removed her collar and went in search of a Dom that was more controlling and gave her the pain she was looking for, which hurt Malachi deeply.
Another wonderful read in this great series, these characters are so complex, afraid of hurting and being hurt. It reminds me of putting a puzzle together you know the pieces all fit, it is just a matter of putting all the pieces in the right places. Malachi doesn’t want to hurt the relationship between the girls and Scarlet is worried about losing Reese to Malachi. But once the pieces start falling into place, this is one hot and sexy read. If you want to learn about the ups and down of a BDSM relationship and some sexy uses for your table, check this kinky read out.
I loved the first 3 books in this series and the authors did not disappoint! Another wonderful romance full of hot sex, amazing BDSM, and romance as three people figure out how to make it work. First introduced to Reece and Scarlet, I was in love. Such a beautiful couple... and I was interested to see how the third person, a male dom, would fit into the story. Following the three of them trying to come to terms with their emotions, desires, what "should be" was sad, maddening, and happy all at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed the open conversation about BDSM between the characters. The surprise of Malachi, the dom, and Reece knowing each other (and the circumstances behind it) made for even more captivating storytelling. I am certain I will need to spend time reading each of these women's great separately written books while I wait for the next "Badass Brat."
What I really liked about this book was the dynamic between 3 people trying to navigate themselves into a place of contentment. It was realistic how they all struggled with communication and, at times, the uncomfortableness that grows when people can't express themselves. I liked how Scarlett and Reece knew that things weren't clicking in their sex life but were proactive in getting it fixed instead of waiting for it to change naturally...(which in my experience rarely happens).
Scarlet and Reece have a problem. They want to spice up their relationship, but can’t seem to figure out who’s on top. Enter Sabrina’s suggestion,Malachi. He’s a Dom,and ready to help them figure it out. Only,he and Reece have a history that goes back to high school, and it isn’t good.... Scarlet convinces Reece to at least allow him to watch them once. He immediately sees what’s wrong, and knows convincing Reece of the role she needs most, and showing Scarlet how to make her obey,is going to be interesting. Growing closer to the girls without getting anything is giving him blue balls, and he’s not sure how long he can last..... He really wants a second chance with Reece, and maybe a first with Scarlet.
But Reece has trouble getting past her hurt, and Scarlet keeps saying she’s not into men. How she knows that is a mystery, and Malachi would love to prove her different. When Reece is starting to give signals showing Scarlet she might enjoy a “bit more” with Malachi, she fears losing her. The alternative, being friends with benefits, doesn’t feel like a good solution. And Scarlet doesn’t want to think about him being more.....does she?
Malachi finds himself longing for something more permanent with these two beautiful women, but they seem to be happy being just two..... And to make things worse, his former sub returns. The one he wasn’t “good” enough for is single again, and hopes she deserves another chance. What is the right thing to do?
These three had their own problems to deal with, but still found they were good together. The fact they were willing to sacrifice their own happiness to their other halves,or in this case thirds, shows true love and that is beautiful.
Ok in this book we have Malachi and Scarlet who identifies {mostly} as a lesbian and Reece who I identifies as Bi. The women want to have a kinky relationship with each other, but they don't quite do it right and they are not satisfied with how things are going with each other. Malachi gets involved after Sabrina who is a good friend of Reece asks him to help the women with their relationship and learn how to be kinky with each and make it work better. Sabrina doesn't tell Malachi their names and he is reminded that he bullied Reece in High School, so he needs to overcome that bit of history as well. Malachi works with the two of them over several months and he gradually becomes close to both women. Eventually they have sex with each other and oh my is it hot! There are a couple of extras like a butt plug and anal sex too. Some Very hot sex scenes all through the book. At the end there is a great HEA that is a little surprising, not majorly I suppose, but a little. Wonderful story, I loved it and I am sure you will love it too.
I thought the book was fine, nothing bothered me enough to stop reading it in one day :) but there were odd creases in the story that made it stiff at times (and not in a good way). There's a committed relationship between the two women characters (Scarlet and Reece) as the base of the story. Their awkward, unsatisfying sex goes on way too long. Once they bring in Malachi as an antidote and instructor, he's awkward for a long time too. The authors use the word awkward to describe everyone's feelings and behavior. No one talks about these feelings, or works them out so that they're over. Which is frustrating. Awkward's not sexy.
I can handle some, in the name of engaging me in the story. Letting me feel their pain. But I never understand why Reece and Scarlet are together because beyond some cuddling, they don't do anything in the first half of the book except have a lot of unsatisfying sex.
Sorting out ways to make things less--you know--uncomfortable? This takes the entire book. Maybe it's realistic. But squirming, again for the wrong reason, is not pleasant. We meet a colorless mom. An earnest, awkward father and brother. I kept wanting to urge Malachi to take over this mess. Isn't he the Dom of the title? But he's too concerned about intruding, about the girls' feelings, about a conflict from high school that never makes sense, and a girlfriend who's miserable and leaves him feeling "pathetic."
Are we having fun yet?
There are things I love. The title and the cover for starters, though I expected a double-entendre in terms of the title. Malachi is a good guy, but sadly doesn't say too many witty things. It's straightforward what his wicked tongue does.
I also assumed he was Irish because of his name (I think of Malachy McCourt), but we never find out his background and there's no fun Irish lingo and attitude. My daughter is going around saying "boyo" these days and it's hilarious so I'd hoped for some of that here. [For now, you'll have to stick to Lexi Blake's A Dom Is Forever for an Irish hero.] Even his tattoo parlor, a cool setting for the beginning of the last book, is only visited for a few pages, losing the opportunity to show Malachi in his bad boy element. Instead, he has a farm he's fixing up. He's sad at being rejected by his last girlfriend, .
Of course it's romance, everything works out, but the voyage isn't as satisfying as I'd hoped for. Even the sex is low-key. A few hours after I finished the story, I'm struggling to remember details. There was a scene with Scarlet that was sweet. Candles and a mattress in the living room. An interesting dining room table designed by Jude (yes, from the first book, The Dom With The Safeword .
I noticed the Doms all have Biblical names--Jude, God(frey) Cross, Malachi, which is Hebrew for "messenger of God." Maybe a message to the critics of erotic romance, menage and/or BDSM that kink and goodness co-exist. These characters all seem to go to church and want to get married. Have babies.
Speaking of which, I still like first in the series the best. Those characters (Jude, Q, Sabrina)were the deepest, funniest, and drawn the most sympathetic. I think the authors agree since they couldn't let go and gave those characters a novella for an epilogue. It's hard to imagine doing the same with the characters from this book or the Perfect Brats . This story is in fact shorter than the others, and the formatting on my Nook download was odd.
Of course I'll keep reading the series. I'm hooked, as I'm sure all of who read the book this week are. I'll just hope for something stronger next time. Hotter. More fun. I have enough awkward in my non-reading life :).
Reece and Scarlet are trying to add a little kinky spice into their relationship, and Malachi is just the right person to teach them. None of them ever thought it'd go beyond being a Dom coach, but suddenly, there are some second thoughts. I liked the way Malachi added that extra something they didn't know they needed. Their scenes were oh, so hot! This was a sexy MFf story!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. I rated it 5 out of 5 stars.

Reece and Scarlet have everything a loving couple could want, except a hot kinky sex life. Malachi, an experienced Dom, steps in to help them sort that out. But not only is he a terrible memory from Reece’s past, he’s a smartass and damaged goods, too.
As they all learn to trust each other, Malachi becomes more than just their kink coach. It’s a full-on brat smackdown, and no heart gets out unscathed.
Warning: Contains unrepentant brats, surprise orgasms, a Domme with training wheels, and a Dom whose tongue is registered as a weapon of mass seduction.
My review: I usually try and read a series in order, I just couldn't wait on this one. Reece and Scarlet make a wonderful couple. They are experimenting with their sex lives and want to try BDSM, but everything they try doesn't seem to work out for them. Reece's friend Sabrina offers to help them, explaining that she knows a Dom whom might be able to coach them. Scarlet is excited by the prospect but Reece is reluctant. When the Dom turns out to be someone from Reece's past, the entire project is in jeopardy of failing.
Malachi Johansson isn't involved with anyone at the moment and agrees to help out Sabrina's friends. He doesn't know who the women are so when he finds out one of them is Reece he's shocked but willing to try and bury the past.
I'd like to meet Malachi in a dark alley sometime and have my wicked way with him. He's just so delicious. A bad boy image, lots of tattoos and a killer smile. But don't let that tough exterior fool you. Deep down, he has feelings and is more sensitive than he lets on.
The book is full of sexual tension, ups and downs, twists and turns and is one roller coaster ride of emotions. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen next, another curve was discovered in the storyline and I turned out to be wrong.
I really enjoyed how the characters learned to trust each other and how well they got along with each other. All the characters are well written and plenty of depth and dimension. I felt like I was part of the book and that the story was unfolding right before my eyes. The Dom with the Clever Tongue has a lot of wit and humor and made me chuckle and laugh. I can't stress strongly enough that this series is fantastic and everyone should read it.
I hope there will be plenty of books in this series because I will never get tired of them. Now, I'm off to be a good girl and read book 2.
practice makes perfect a.k.a. The Dom with the clever tongue !!!!!!
wauuuu I mean just wauuuuu this book blows you away how good it is! the previous books are about starting from scratch and finding about what you are and what makes the relationship ... but this one is about how to work a third link into an already functioning relationship ??? do you even want a third link ??? I just love that Reese and Scarlet know and love each other from the beginning of the book but even they admit to themselves that there are things that you don't know even about yourself unless you try.
I love the part how Malachi admits that he's attracted to them (hint: girl-on-girl is a mans wet dream) but does not force it at first. The shared dominance is the beginning to bringing them closer and used to being around each other but also the honest friendship that serves as a starting point for sharing and evolving (at this point you have to give thanks to the invention of Call of Duty cause like it or not it's what got them together!)
but bringing the third party into a already great relationship would bring a whole lot of question-marks and it takes courage to admit the feelings and still hope it doesn't ruin the already good thing you have going. this is kind of a feeling that keeps with you ever since they gradually admit to themselves that they care for each other.
doing the right thing out of love means letting the thing that you love go or not being somebodies substitute is what you need to do for yourself. Honesty is the main point that is in this book, and what is fiercely demanded in the book, not only for the dominance part of it but in everyday stuff and it's that what helps everything at the end !!
I love that you can experience the emotions of couples in the regular world, how they deal with the "normal people" reactions and judgments and what it takes for them to go on in life. and for that alone I appreciate it cause I will support my bi/gay friends even more fierce !!!
the best part of the book is also it humor !!! aside from Q and Sabrina this is the most funniest book in the series and it just cracks me up ... here's an example:
" -“Touch yourself.” Reece arched a cultured brow at her and touched her finger to her forehead, her mouth twisted in a smirk. Little brat.-"
just brilliant !!! great job girls !!! I'm on to the next one !!!!
Another great installment by some very talented ladies: Sorcha, Leia and Cari. I applaud you, you made this girl bite her lip, wipe some tears and giggle and laugh at your writing another incredible book.
This time, we start off with a couple already established, Scarlet and Reece. Their relationship is going except for the fact that they can’t seem to get their kink-on. In comes Malachi to find out what’s wrong and give some pointers, especially how to deal with a bratty Reece. However, little by little they give their trust and heartstrings start pulling at them, what is he going to do when they no longer need him, and what will the girls do when he leaves them?
I love that the girls were so real and maybe a bit dysfunctional in their own way, but they are there and honest with each other, which is so important in their relationship, they are totally in love. Malachi adds humor as well as so much sexiness and let’s not forget that tongue! Their scenes are hot and will make you squirm in your seat.
*I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book. This book was different than the last three. In the first books of the series the relationships began fairly quickly. The stories were told by switching between the three main characters point of view. This book was written in the third person. I think I liked reading from each characters point of view. I think I got to know the characters better that way.
In this book the author pulled at my heart strings. This is where the author was brilliant. I had a hard time putting the book down because I kept thinking things will be okay on the next page. When people like each other I want them together.
The sex scenes were steamy but I could always use more. The waiting and anticipation was driving me crazy.
Okay so I didn't really like this one. Like I previously said I thought Scarlet was just plain mean. I think Malachi deserved better than her. I did like Reece and saw the chemistry between her and each of her Dom's. I still don't completely agree that Scarlet is a Dom.
THE DOM WITH THE CLEVER TONGUE is part of the Badass Brats series. I had previously read this book but had not written a review for some reason. So I am now rereading this book so that I can have a proper review for this book.
This is Reece and Scarlet & Malachi Johansson’s story. Reece and Scarlet have been together for a little over a year. They can’t get the BDSM thing figured out. They have both been switches. Alternating who is domme and who is submissive. It’s not working out well for them. They were introduced to Malachi, an experienced Dom. They have asked Malachi to become their coach.
I loved their story. I am not a person that goes back and rereads books very often. But this book and series have been fantastic even the second time around.
I would love to see these authors get together to write another book. This series has been awesome!
Oh wow! Where to begin! I just finished reading this book, which I have been eagerly awaiting and tapping my fingers for, for so long that I completely devoured it! OH!!! I LOVE Malachi! What a doll he is! Big bad, tattooed up Dom, YUM! Love a man who doesn't take himself and his "dommlyness" too seriously. And Scarlet's not bad, either... just needed a little push in the right direction, Malachi was only too capable of pushing - all the right buttons! Sweet little conflicted Reece! Ah, I adored her... so sweet and so naughty all at the same time! I sense a slight kinship with her, lol! Oh, the ebbs and flows of relationships, friendships, even with acquaintances... family, friends, lovers, this book has them all. Love, smokin hot sex, hot enough to melt your heart, mind and your body, sexually experimenting fun, learning curves, growing pains. What more can I say, it's a MUST READ if you aren't afraid of a little F/F/M erotic romance - YUM!!
Reese and Scarlet are deeply in love and want to take their relationship deeper and add kink to their lives. After experimenting for a while on their own, they realize to find what they are looking for they need some help from a Dom who knows what he is doing. Malachi who was hurt by his sub leaving him for another Dom is more than happy to occupy his time by training these two sexy women. Soon they realize that more than just friendship is knocking at their door. Can they all find a way to love each other without making anyone feel like a third wheel? I loved this latest Brats installment, it was great to see old friends from the previous books and the chemistry between these three is HOT. I loved the fact that even though they each had problems with their own families they went out and created a new accepting one together, very sweet.
The fourth installment in the Badass Brats series, quite predictably, has some really fun brat action (surprise!). There is lots of fun banter and sillies. But it’s not all fun and games – though there’s lots of fun and games – there’s plenty of sexy, and quite a bit of emotional scenes as well. It’s a different take on love. Two women, who are in love with each other, having a D/s relationship with a dominant man – a sexual D/s relationship. This story shows all the ways it can go badly and how it can be amazing. There is HAWT F/F sexy action, M/F, and M/F/F. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys menage and genuine girl on girl love (as opposed to girl on girl for the sake of the boy).
If you have thoroughly enjoyed the Brats series so far, you need to keep on going with this book.
Once again, great, awesome, and relatable characters with amazing personality will catch the reader's attention and run with it. Like the other books, I read this one in one setting, not wanting to stop until I reached the end because I just had to know how Malachi ends up fitting in with Reece and Scarlet. I love Reece. Her heart is so huge it's amazing. I love the warm fuzzies I get any time that I read one of these books. I feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record with my reviews for this series, but the great and down to earth characters, the very steamy scenes, and the conflicts and how the characters grow is what keeps me coming back to this series. You will not be disappointed with The Dom with the Clever Tongue.
What can I say about this book except that it NEVER disappointed me! Sorcha Black, Leia Shaw, and Cari Silverwood are without a doubt gifted, talented, and amazing authors! ! The three together have written a series of books that will blow any reader who enjoys this genre away! This story of Scarlet, Reece, and (omg) Malachi was filled with such beautiful love, mischief, humor, kink, and very hot sex that I lost myself completely! I want to be a Badass Brat and at my age that is scary! Please, please Ladies, do not stop writing this series! I love your work!
