Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

"A superhero can be anyone. When they do a selfless act, when they care about others, when they truly make others lives better. That's what a superhero does." - Quote from moi.

I absolutely loved Liam and and Ginny, my god, I mean they were so compatible with one another. The chemistry, the banter, the spending time with another, parenting, difficult past facing, gah it was wonderful watching them grow and develop into two wonderful people along with Bean.

The writing, the plot, the cover, the characters, the plot, the superheros, and the general belief that superheros exist in any form and any person can be one is ALLL SO BLOODY AWESOME!

Seriously, I loved everything. Do you hear my screams of enjoyment, of laughter, of missing Liam and Ginny? Do you?

Well I do.

And I sure as well want more from this author.

'Nough said.'

Until the next read,

-TMR

Sarah Ready is the best kept secret in contemporary romance. Her voice is seasoned, her characters are perfectly flawed and eternally endearing, and she strikes just the right balance between humor, heartbreak and uplifting. I proclaimed her debut novel my unicorn read for 2020, and her sophomore offering is equally as insightful, charming and heartfelt.

Ginny Weaver is a woman who has tied another knot in the rope and is still barely hanging on. She lost her husband when she was newly pregnant and carries a lot of guilt from that loss. Her only support is her in laws who give her more animosity and indifference than encouragement or help. And her six-year-old daughter is sick. Deathly sick. The one thing Bean wants in her tragic young life is to meet a super hero and train to be a hero sidekick. And no matter what it takes, Ginny is determined to see that wish fulfilled in the time Bean has left.

Liam Stone is a washed-up Hollywood has-been hiding out in rural Ohio. He might have played a super hero on the big screen, but after a back breaking injury and some really bad behavior once he finally returned to the set, he’s about as far from a hero as a guy can get. But something about the little slip of a woman with fire in her belly and her charming young daughter make him wish he could be the hero they need.

At its heart, this is a story of family, overcoming insurmountable odds, and using adversity to create a better version of self. Ginny is the heroine we all want to be, strong and determined, and bent by life's challenges but never breaking. Liam has lost his way and wallowed a little too long in self-pity, but he has a heart of gold and rises to the challenge easily once he sees beyond himself. Bean is funny and adorable, and a bit of an old soul, and watching her get her wish and a whole lot more is the highlight of the book.

Oh, my heart, I love this book so much! It’s the perfect mix of humor, heat and heart, and a wonderful reminder to appreciate those perfect little moments when they come our way and to always look for the beauty in the ashes. After all, if a bitter mother-in-law and consummate mean girl can be redeemed, there’s hope for each of us. If you like finding new talent you can follow into a promising career then be sure to check out this gifted writer. If you’re looking for a book that tickles your funny bone and tugs on your heart strings in the most exquisite way, this charming, witty story full of all the feels is your next amazing read!

A rom-com that also makes you tear up a bit. A great author can do that. Liam only has one direction he can go, up. As he has been at ground zero and is surrounded by pity. Ginny has spunk and determination I wish I had in regular situations let alone in the dire situation of helping an ill child.
Yes, it is a rom-com, can't take anything too seriously that has a Superhero on the cover, but it is a romance, love of family, self awareness, and being redeemed by someone loving you and accepting you. WILL make a great movie.

I received this as an arc for my honest review

This is probably the easiest 5 stars review I have ever given. This book was the complete package for me, I laughed, I cried and I loved, right along side the main characters I fell in love but not only with Ginny and Liam but especially with Bean. She was the life, the drive and the reason of the story. I can’t remember the last time a book moved me so profoundly.

Hero Ever After is a feel good, happily ever after, romance read. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adored this book.

The premise - A down on his luck, Hollywood actor known for his superhero role, holed up in small town USA meets his match in sexy, single mom Ginny. Ginny needs him to make her sick daughter’s dream, of becoming a superhero come true.

What could possibly go wrong, goes right, when Liam and Ginny join forces to make a miracle happen. I loved their chemistry and the fact that they were both, far from perfect but that whatever they were, was good enough.

Bean, Ginny’s daughter, stole the show and added a touch of joy with her never ending enthusiasm. This book was a great read and gets the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval.

TBR and Enjoy!

This is a touching, emotional story of the power of love and expectations. Ginny Weaver is a single mom who needs a hero in more ways than one. Her daughter, Bean, is deathly sick. Ginny wants to offer her daughter something very meaningful to her – a hero she looks up to and who will give her hope. Liam Stone is a former Hollywood superhero who has given up on being anyone special. He is a failure. But Ginny needs his help, even though she is doubtful as well when she first meets him. But for Bean, she will plead for this man to be the hero for her six-year-old little girl. And to pretend to take on that role, with someone really seeing him and caring about him, he actually becomes that hero. And he becomes the world to two females who most needed to hope.

Love and acceptance, trust, seeing someone as your personal hero, the one who inspires you, and having someone to be that special hero for, all blends together and becomes the definition of a family. And Liam’s actions, prompted out of unselfish love and concern for the people he now claims as family, may be the key to saving Bean’s life. Grab your copy and see the power of love and the trust and belief we have in our heroes and watch the miracles happen.

Bean is a young girl who is in need of a bone marrow transplant, and her mom Ginny will do anything to make her happy. This includes convincing fallen hero star Liam Stone to work with her daughter and "train" her.

Liam is a mess. Living in a trailer, he's drunk when Ginny arrives at his door and tells her not to come back unless she has some top shelf bourbon. She does go back, and refuses to go away until he helps her. They make a deal; she will help him get back in shape, and he will do what she asks for Bean.

What develops is a heartfelt story that changes every one of them, including the extended family.

This is the second book I've read by Sarah Ready and it won't be the last.

𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒐𝒎, 𝒊𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒖𝒑.

If you're looking for a romcom, then this isn't the right thing because this is like a sadrom with innocent sweet moments making you cross your fingers hoping for the best.

@SarahReady is hands down one of my favourite authors now. She made me cry with only 140 pages and there's nothing more I could want. From the start to end my tears just couldn't stop falling! Sometimes it'll be tears of sadness, and then it'll be happy tears with a smile on my face.

This book has the perfect balance between a gripping story and a romance which doesn't seem over the top. The light moments of spark present in the everyday routine, the constant reminder of loss, the change in character personalities and the power of overcoming fear; everything was spot on and flawless.

You won't be throwing your head back and laughing, but you'll be smiling with hope.

I like how the ending wasn't the cliche and was really neat and short when relating to the cure. Grandmas' transition is good and her behaviour is a bit understandable but I can't forgive Heather, I just can't.

That little doll Bean has my heart♡ and I'm so happy for Ginny and Liam.

I love this book! Would give more than 5 stars if I could!⭐

What a fantastic surprise of a book!! I did not know at the time that this was a brand new author but the cover intrigued me enough to read the book blurb and that caught my interest enough to take a chance on reading it and I was immediately captivated by the story-line and was unable to put it down until I had finished reading it! Liam and Ginny pulled and pulled at my heartstrings so much but the one that truly tore my heart right out was Bean! I am not going to rehash everything that makes this book so wonderful other than to say the reader gets to experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in the course of this story so make sure to have a full box of tissues on hand because they will be used not only for those low points but then again for the beautiful moments that will bring forth a set of happy tears at the love and happy-ever-after that was thought to never be there for them and the family that they were able to create! This is the work of an extremely talented author and I hope that she will be bringing us many more books in the future!

After reading the blurb I knew I needed to read this one because I had a feeling it was going to give me all the feels. I was so right and then some. This book made my heart feel full to bursting. Not gonna lie the beginning it did make me sad for the reason why Ginny reaches out to Liam. It just broke my heart, but to see what it meant to Bean and the happiness it brought her warms the heart. Liam has reached rock bottom in life, but when Ginny and Bean enter his life it brings a light he never had before. I really liked how much maturing Liam does because before his life went into a spiral he wasn't a great guy. He was definitely worthy of the hero title, but what he does through out this book shows he is worthy. There are many ways for someone to be a hero and in this book they come in a all shapes and sizes. This book is so worth the read because it's a make you feel good story along with an uplifting one. I just gobbled up the pages. Bean is going to steal your heart. She's so precious and her superhero training is one of my favorite parts of the book. A must read for sure!

What a beautiful story!

This story is about Liam and Ginny; Ginny is a single mother of a little six-year-old girl with leukaemia and a personal trainer, whilst Liam is an actor. One of his previous works was as a superhero. Beatrice or bean, Ginny's daughter's wish is to be trained as a superhero by none other than Liam Stone. It takes a lot for Liam to agree to even see Ginny, but after a lot of persuading Ginny and Liam strike up a deal; Liam trains Bean to be a superhero and Ginny trains Liam to get back in shape. Buy 'Hero Ever After' to follow Bean, Ginny and Liam in their story!

This book brought me to tears! I loved everything about the book, the characters, plot everything! A book that you do not want to miss!

Ms. Ready is a new to me author so I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up. I have to say this was one of the most delightful rom-coms I have read. It definitely has the romance and comedy down, but it also had some serious elements that pull at your heartstrings and really make you think. Of course not too, serious, but still the author did an amazing job of bringing all that together and delivering a simply beautiful and feel good romance. You are taken on an emotional roller coaster with some laugh out loud moments and some tear jerking moments, all cultivating into one beautiful story. I fell in love with Ginny and Liam (and of course Bean!) and really became invested in their story. Wonderful story! This is definitely one author I will be looking out for!

I absolutely loved this book! Read it in less than a day because I just couldn't put it down.

Yes, the story is a bit predictable and a few details are missing, in my opinion (for example, it seems hard to believe that an actor as famous as Liam is made out to be wouldn't have a few paparazzi tracking him down, even if he's been off Hollywood for a couple of years), but the author created a plot and a set of characters so compelling you just need to keep turning the pages.

Hero Ever After will make you smile, will make you cry, and will definitely make you feel good.

And if you finish the book and want to keep reading about Liam and Ginny, you can always join Sarah Ready's newsletter to get access to bonus content and second epilogues for all her books. Visit the author at sarahready.com.

I just love how Sarah Ready writes. She brings you into a story and you don’t have a choice to just hang on for the ride. This is a beautifully, emotional story about two people who really just need each other.

Ginny is a widow, personal trainer and most of all a mom to an adorable little girl. Liam is a superhero actor who just needs someone to take a chance on him.

This story is going to pull at all of your emotions, and you won’t mind because the story is just that good! If you haven’t read a Sarah Ready book you must. She writes with such grace and the story seems effortless. I simply loved this book and can not wait to read more from her!

Ginny and her daughter Beatrice (Bean) are dealing with her leukemia and waiting for a donor. Liam was a superhero in the movies but had a back injury that kept him away from acting again and heights. They meet and devise a plan to make Bean a sidekick superhero in training with Liam. Loved the flight time and how confident it made her so when she is needed later for Finick, she is up for it. Suspense at the place they find Finick and Bean was intense and that Liam overcame his fear to get to Bean was monumental. Loved the ending when all the truth about the ad came out and coming home.

Ever since the first book I've read by the author, I know I'm going to keep coming back for more.

Liam and Ginny's story is an enjoyable, feel-good, and heart-warming romance. It has a great plot and both Liam and Ginny are great characters with amazing chemistry. But it's not just all fluffy and cute romance because it brought me to tears. I loved everything about the book. It's definitely a perfect balance of everything you need in a romance.

A beautifully heartwrenching and heartwarming story of a woman in desperate need of a miracle and the man who no one thought might just be the one to help. Ginny and Liam's story will reel you in but you'll feel completely captured once Bean her little daughter is introduced to the mix. This trio will give your tear ducts and ovaries a solid workout. Surprisingly loved it!

This was an unexpectedly touching book. While childhood cancer is such a heavy and quiet honestly terrifying subject, this book treated it with the seriousness and heartache it truly is while still being a great and happy romance. Quite an impressive feat to do IMO.

The only thing I’d change is it’s a little short Not quite novella short but not a full novel either. So I would have loved more. Will definitely be reading more books by Sarah Ready!
