Bangchan from stray kids fan fiction. Writing defiantly needs some work, but can’t say I completely hated it. Bang Chan is my fav member of stray kids so it’s kinda hard to make me hate something completely with hi,m in it.

Really very bad, not a good read. Do not recommend!

Where do I even start …

Maybe the front cover… and the first two pages. I fully respect self publishing on places like Amazon but test a print first to make sure everything is lined up as a book would be and that your cover isn’t two pixels on the front!

This felt like I was reading a fanfic, and not even a good one.

I don’t mind short books, but this just felt like it was lacking pretty much everywhere.

There was so much potential for this book to be something good and it just didn’t give anything. There was so many plot points mentioned that weren’t continued and were pushed aside, ones I would argue are culturally significant to her character and it was a shame to see these not elaborated on.

There were issues that the main character had that were solved literally by the next page which took away from the main girl actually having any real issues as they were solved so quickly and in the blandest ways imaginable!

The romance wasn’t feet kicking and there was no part of me reading this that had me squealing like I would normally do when I read romance or romantasy!

I’m also all for using celebrity as s reference point when it comes to looks and or personality but don’t literally steal that persons identity and then proceed to admit it on social media and say that your going to give him a copy of this book when there is sexual scenes that I can imagine would make that person uncomfortable!

Overall I think the idea behind this book was decent it just didn’t follow through at all and felt like I was a beta reader reading ‘not even a first draft’

I really really really wanted to like this book since the main character is based off Chan, but damn, it was a short wattpad fanfiction. The basis of the story is cute, the whole star falling in love with a person who isn’t a fan, but still somehow crossed paths type of trope (?).

Despite giving it one star, I would read the book again and most likely the sequel just because these types of stories have a hold on me for absolutely no reason(I couldn’t tear my eyes away from it)- and as another reviewer, said it fed my inner delulu.

Curosity got the best of me after hearing who it is based on. Since it is so short, I did get through the whole thing in one sitting. I don't think I would've finished it otherwise.

The pace of this story is so ridiculous. It's insta love in the worst way. The main couple dates at a weird pace but the side couple goes into it even faster. Since there's no time to sit with the couples and see them develop, the moments that are meant to be emotionally intense really fall flat.

Also I pray he or any of the people that inspired this will never see this, omg.

I didn’t think I’d gag so much at something, and I didn’t even read all of it.

First, this is just a Wattpad fanfic that somehow managed to get published, but given the fact that the only platform I could find it on was Amazon, I’m not so surprised it got published. Amazon is Wattpad for people who think they’re too good for Wattpad. You’re not, don’t worry.

“What’s up, baby girl? Why do you look like you haven’t showered in years?” Jace laughs as he’s giving me the hug that I desperately need. He looks at my baggy, gray sweatpants and oversized black sweatshirt, all tied in with my long, black mess of hair that’s in a bun.”

Oh, boy… It starts off very simple: quirky college girl talks about her problems and how miserable her life is, and then it goes into a weird description of her handsome best friend.

“He looks majestic standing under the sunlight, making his olive tone skin shine even brighter. He oozes the beauty of a fine Latino man.” I’m sorry? Anyways,

Unlike other fanfictions that were published, this woman kept the name of the person and every single characteristic there was about him. The thing about published fan fiction such as “After” is that the author took the people they were based on and ultimately only made it an inspiration. This, however, was just a self-insert. The main character of the book is exactly described like the author’s appearance. I’m surprised this woman has a degree.

More shocking, this woman is not even a stay, not even a fan of the man she wrote about. She’s profiting off of his name in a weird, delusional, and creepy way.

What is that cover? Is that PicsArt? Why is there a sequel as well (I’m not putting myself through that again.)

Furthermore, this book is particularly disrespectful to Bangchan, the person it's based on. Bangchan, a dedicated and talented artist, has worked incredibly hard to build his career and maintain a respectful relationship with his fans. To see his image and persona exploited in such a poorly written and self-indulgent fanfiction is disheartening.

The author’s portrayal of Bangchan reduces him to a mere fantasy, stripping away his individuality and the respect he deserves as a person. This fanfic-turned-novel does not honor his achievements or personality but instead uses his name and likeness for personal gain, without his consent or input.

Bangchan deserves better than to be depicted in a work that fails to recognize his true character and contributions. Fans who genuinely respect and admire him would never support a project that distorts his image in such a superficial and disrespectful manner. This book is not a tribute but a disservice to Bangchan and all he stands for.

Cringe worthy, disgusting, sick, i hope Chan never stumbles upon this. Thank you, this is so funny since it’s my first ever review

It was a short and quick read for me. I had been struggling to complete something and decided to pick this one up and it definitely helped me get back into reading for longer time.

Review:

I enjoy books with south Asian characters as it is my background and how I grew up so Zara was quickly relatable. Zara’s turmoil, the way she thinks everything was very familiar. Honestly can’t wait to read more about Zara and see her character develop in the next book.

AJ. His character was very interesting to me as well. The reason being how different he is from Zara. His character hopefully will get more depth in book 2 as well.

*SPOILER*
Although it was a love at first sight (which I personally do not believe in) it takes effort to be in love and I think that’s what this book shows us.
*END of SPOILER*

This book felt like a setting for the book 2 which I am excited to hop onto.

And to all the people out there, sometimes a little spontaneous and crazy is good and who knows you might end up falling in love and love has no age !

This is so obviously about Bang Chan of Stray Kids. I hate that I caught that right away and its a shame that the author couldn't create a love interest on their own when the created such a vast cast of characters with depth.

I did enjoy experience what Zara goes through with her family, as I am not of that culture and have never experienced it before, and its was a great look into how important parental approval is for her.

The writing was inconsistent at best. Sometimes we flew through days and other times the writing was so dense and in depth and that left me wanting more depth to the entire story.

The similarities between AJ and Chan cannot be ignored. The author literally just changed the name and used his personality, his likeness, his backstory, literally everything. Not to mention using Felix to "create" Lee, but then using the name Felix to hide AJ's identity so he could take Zara out.

Do not recommend for these reasons.

AJ totally sounds like Bangchan! I'm all in for it! Then I realized author posted a video about her explaining who inspired Aj, and it's Bangchan from Stray Kids. I literally freaked out! It was a cute and fast read! I'm ready for the second book to come out .😭 I want to see their relationship fold out.
