Having spent an exorbitant amount of time in the retail/customer service realm, I found this book to be extremely helpful. I like how, right from the beginning, it defined what ‘culture’ really is, as opposed to what society has turned it into. This is a must-read for anyone trying to get ahead and/or start their own company. It’s not long at all, but does contain an abundance of information.

This book has really great advice for leaders of the world. It shows how to walk the fine line of focusing on results and company culture. I will say, if you a person who is a lower level employee and have no plans on moving up, this book is not for you.

The majority of my working experience has been in the non-profit world. Despite that, I found that this little book can be helpful in building a strong organization, with devoted, competent employees, that achieves its goals.

Sharpening the pencil

I've read Mark's work previously, so this was a chance to return to familiar ground. Every chapter is excellent and revealed new questions to ask of my team and our leadership. It was also a blessing to feel like I had permission to open the lens on our vision and think bigger than we are.
