The author gives excerpts (little snippets) of adventures she's faced on her missionary journeys in various countries. This is an easy read, with each chapter basically 3 pages or so. It could be a daily sort of book, since the chapters are so short and each begins with a scripture and ends with a practical question for your own life, followed by a prayer focus for missionaries. I'm enjoying the stories and hoping I don't have to deal with some of the crazy things she's experienced. ;)

This was an interesting book of stories from Suzanne's time in West Africa.

I did feel like sometimes she was really stretching to make a moral from a story (which I didn't think was necessary; sometimes a story can just be interesting), but overall I did enjoy this book.

I have to say this was not what I expected but I once I got past that I really enjoyed it. Firstly this is more like a devotional than a book. The chapters are short with a question at the end of each to think about and a prayer point for missionaries. Reading as a devotional would give more time to ponder the points given. However I bought it to read as a book and found that I didn't give the points made the time and thought they required. I enjoyed reading the adventures they had, although it was not as humorous as the description gave. I think it's well worth reading if your interested in praying for missionaries, or you are interested in missionaries lives. Also if you like to be challenged, I really found the questions posed very good.

Wonderful true stories

after two mission trips to Africa I am thrilled to have found this book. I can picture each of the stories as the author depicts them. she tells these true stories with humor and sometimes I imagine with tears.

It is a nice colection of little stories of Christian Baptist Missionaries in Togo, Benin and other African countries. Not to buy it, I expected more, but I read it all.
