This is a fairly solid updated edition of this "best of" collection for the Hoosier state. The trail descriptions and maps are accurate. This is a good tome for those traveling through the state or someone hoping to chart out visits to all corners of the state over a few years. It's not a great book for locals or someone vacationing in a specific area as the trails are scattered all over a state that stretches from Michigan to Kentucky.
Invaluable. An expert's eye on some of the most beautiful spots in the state of Indiana. I used this one during my quest to hike 200+ miles in the Spring/Summer of 2016.
The best overview of hiking Indiana out there. But this book is a lot like buying the Beatles' greatest hits and not any one of their great records like the White Album, Abbey Road or Revolver - it's just a sampling of what's out there and you don't get a real understanding of the true essence of the state's trails. Still, buy it if you've started hiking or are traveling through Indiana.
Fairly quality descriptions and maps. As a "best of" collection, doesn't really much dwelve into specific area of the state. You'll have to drive long distances for all but the five or six scattered trails near you in the book.
