He's taken everything from me and I him. I thought I could defeat him, while keeping my feelings hidden. A shared enemy brought us together, changing my destiny. I know better now. My fate is not to love. It's not even to survive. My fate is to protect him...Fated Lies is Book 3 in the Lies Series. It continues Langston & Liesel's story. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Fated Lies was exactly what was needed, more answers for this couple, Langston and Liesel. They truly are fated, and live their lives using lies and half truths, never offering up the truth. There was so much animosity and tension in this book, both realizing that they have been fighting each other and neither one of them will win if they keep doing this. But that ending, I had an inkling, but I still was not expected all the truths that came out at the end!
The third book in the Lies series, Fated Lies is well written and packed with unexpected twists and turns, lies, mystery, betrayal, angst, secrets, suspense, hot chemistry, and a cliffhanger ending that will have you anxiously waiting for the next book.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
The feud between Liesel and Langston reaches a boiling point but the casualties aren’t each other but the people in their lives. Realizing that continuing down this path could have dire consequences forces them into a situation where they try to reach a compromise. The only problem is that there is a sinister force in their presence which places them in even more danger and if they are going to escape, they must work together.
So much intrigue and so many surprises all lead up to a cliffhanger that leaves us wondering what other shockers are yet to be revealed.
This is the 3rd book in the series and for best enjoyment, I do recommend reading them in order. Langston and Liesel’s story continues, with loads of drama, suspense and twists and turns. The chemistry between them is intense. Great characters with lots of depth, plenty of steam and an action-packed story that draws you in from beginning to end. I loved it.
Be Prepared For Heartbreak – But Nothing Is As It Seems As The Rollercoaster Of Lies Continues! There Will Finally Be Some Big Truths Revealed So Hold On For The Ride. For Anyone Frustrated With Langston: Your Patience Will Finally Pay Off!
This is book three in the Lies series, the long-awaited story of Langston and Liesel. This six book series includes: Vicious Lies, Desperate Lies, Fated Lies, Cruel Lies, Dangerous Lies, and Endless Lies. A short prologue to the series, Lies We Share, precedes book one but is optional. There is also a bonus scene that follows Broken Anchor, book six of the Sinful Truths series, which features the couple and leads into this series.
The Lies series is a spin-off of the Truth or Lies series and the Sinful Truths series. Enzo, Zeke, and Langston have been friends since youth. They began training to work for the notorious Mr. Black while other kids were more concerned about making the football team or attending a dance. Killers all, their friendship has helped them weather the dangers that they face.
In the Truth or Lies series, Enzo Black has to be cruel to be kind to Katherine Miller. Despite it all, Katherine begins to fall for him only to discover that it was all lies. Their tumultuous relationship has you at the edge of your seat.
In the Sinful Truths series, Zeke Kane is rescued from certain death in the Caribbean by a siren. But when they cross paths again, he discovers that the mysterious Aria Torres, a.k.a. Siren, has a few tricks up her sleeve. He meets his match in Siren, who had lured him into a trap. He struggles to keep his family – Enzo and Kai – safe, and he hopes to save Siren, too, in this angsty and cruel game.
In the Truth or Lies and the Sinful Truths series, it had become increasingly clear that there is tension between Langston and Liesel. They are like water and oil, but there is sexual tension as well at times. No definitive explanation has been given, but it all points to something from the past. The prologue to the Lies series tells the early part of their story.
Each book in these series reads like a roller coaster, with unexpected gut-clenching twists and turns. The characters live in a brutal world. Every time the couples cross paths or begin to drop their defenses, something seems to pull them apart. There are many questions and many lies, but answers do come with patience. The books in each series are best read back to back since the plot is very complex.
In this book:
Be prepared for heartbreak – but nothing is as it seems as the rollercoaster of lies continues. There will finally be some big truths revealed so hold on for the ride. For anyone frustrated with Langston: your patience will finally pay off!
The book opens as a tragedy plays out aboard ship. But after all is said and done, Liesel and Langston both agree that it is time to finally resolve their business. Langston plans to head to sea where the pair can work through their game of truths in seclusion, but those plans are upended when they find themselves taken captive by an unknown party. Forced to join forces against the mysterious enemy, Langston and Liesel must work to regain one another’s trust. But trust comes at a price. Everything changes before the book comes to a happy cliffhanger ending.
Some readers may be frustrated with Langston in this series. Although both he and Liesel have someone else in their life as the series opens, and rightfully so, it is Langston that is inserting himself into Liesel’s life despite the fact that he is a married man with children. This does not seem to be a good recipe for romance. Patience, however, will pay off in spades! His redemption begins in this book.
There are some issues that merit mention. First, contradictory feelings are expressed throughout the series that make it hard to follow what Langston and Liesel really do feel. It is more than just their spoken words – words which are so often lies. It is also their inner thoughts that are contradictory, such that it feels impossible to really know or understand either character at all. It feels a bit frustrating trying to follow along. It is best to give up dissecting what is said and accept that the characters lie to themselves as well as one another. Evaluate what is happening in the story by taking a step back instead. Actions speak louder than words! Additionally, the timelines across and within the various series, this one included, do not match up exactly. It is best to give up trying to make it work and simply think in general terms.
Many questions still remain. Why had Liesel’s father stayed away all those years? Where was he? What was Langston angry about when he met up with Liesel shortly after her mother’s funeral – immediately before he got her half of the letter? Langston’s disappointment in Liesel’s leaving the group late in Enzo’s series set him into a dark spiral that turned him into Bishop. What happened? How does Bishop play into the story? What is the truth about Langston and Phoenix? Why did Langston really get involved with Phoenix? Why on earth would Langston ever get married for anything other than love? Is it a traditional marriage in which he has given half his fortune away to Phoenix? How is it possible that Enzo, Kai, Zeke, and Siren know about Phoenix and Liesel does not? Phoenix has apparently been in the picture a while and Liesel has only been away a couple years, and visits every few months (Zeke and Siren just had their baby recently, and Enzo and Kai’s kids are toddlers). Had they been sworn to secrecy? It seems very unlikely and hard to believe that Phoenix has been any part of Langston’s life (other than periodically sleeping together). He travels and is a huge player. Is it true that Langston is married? If so, to whom is he really married? Is Phoenix really who and what we have been led to believe? And is Langston the children’s biological father? How long has Langston been involved in the children’s lives? How were the children hidden from Liesel on the island? And why didn’t Langston spend any time with his wife and children? Why is Langston set upon killing Liesel? Why has he made Liesel’s treasure and her letter his personal mission? How had Phoenix been discovered and contacted by Waylon – as if the marriage was common knowledge – at the end of book two? She is apparently charged with keeping the children safe (and it is presumed their safety is at risk), so why did she agree to participate aboard ship and leave the children in someone else’s care? Why wasn’t Langston angry that she both brought the children to New York and left them to participate in the game on the ship? Why did Phoenix and the children remain in New York for some period of time afterward when it is again a potential security risk, particularly since dangerous men have identified her as Langston’s wife? The questions are endless. Hopefully answers for all will be forthcoming in the next three books! Langston and Liesel’s contemptuous story is a slow burn decades in the making. Their first kiss at age eight had been a beautiful and innocent moment. Their young dreams of a lifetime of friendship shattered the next day, however, putting them at odds in all the years since. They had made an unbreakable vow in their youth. She will hunt for him, and he will kill for her. This vow has occasionally brought them together, where she is the huntress and he the killer. But otherwise their love/hate relationship has wavered between ignoring one another and arguing. The tension is palpable, but at this point in their relationship the scale appears to be at its tipping point. Love seems to be etching its way into consciousness. Combining their efforts and their secrets, they are now poised to go after the enigmatic treasure and put an end to the danger that chases them. But they must first face some very personal truths. And after breaking their trust, they also have some fences to mend with their friends.
Langston and Liesel’s dark story takes love/hate to new levels. They must work together to escape from a mysterious treasure hunter, testing them both while their precious truths begin to surface. The story includes the angst and surprises readers have come to expect. Both Langston and Liesel must battle the deep bonds that cause their underlying chemistry as well as the animosity that clouds their feelings for one another. Their story is well-written and plot-driven. The characters are carefully crafted. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Langston and Liesel. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ella Miles has written a 5-star book. This is the story about Liesel and Langston. Liesel and Langston had been friends until something happened to change that. Now things are different between them, they act like they hate each other. They have done things to each other and friends of the other to make each other mad. They each have half a letter with clues to a treasure but they won't tell the other what they are. Langston has decided it is time to end things and he kidnaps Liesel to make it happen. things don't go the way he wants them to. They are both kidnapped and drugged by a man who wants to know the whereabouts of the treasure. They both try to protect the other one when questioned. They find a way to escape and Langston calls his friend Enzo to come and get them. When they land, Liesel hears Enzo on the phone and finds out the whole thing was a setup. She tells Langston what she just heard. He can't believe his friend would set him up like that. Liesel sees Rowan, the man who had them and she tells Langston. They come up with a plan to get them all back. Langston and Liesel go after Rowan and ties his hand behind his back and they take off. Enzo calls him and tells him to turn around that Rowan works for him. Enzo asks "where is Rowan now?" Langston tells him that he was in the middle of the ocean and that Enzo better hopes he was a good swimmer since his hands were tied behind his back. Langston takes Liesel to his home and when they land, they are all over each other. Langston's wife calls his name and Liesel jumps off him and takes off. She couldn't stand to see him pick Phoenix over her. Langston takes off after Liesel and when he finds her he sits down beside her. She tells him that it is okay that he goes and talks to Phoenix. Langston tells her that Phoenix doesn't mean anything to him, not like Waylon meant something to her. She tells him that Waylon didn't mean what he thought he meant to her. He looks at her and asks "What do you mean? I saw you mourn his death. You fell apart. You cried for the first time in years. You arranged to fake my best friend's death to hurt me back. Don't tell me Waylon meant nothing to you." Waylon was blackmailing me." She goes on to tell him about needing help to find her son. "You didn't love Waylon?" "No, I didn't love him. I thought he was a horrible man, but he was the only person who could tell me what happened to my son. She goes on to say "You and I were always destined to be with others." You made a good choice with Phoenix. She seems like a loyal person and a loving mother. I'm happy for you. Last night was nice, but it's time to get back to reality. You belong to Phoenix and I belong-" She thinks and I am destined to be alone. "We are fated to be together. That's how I've always felt and you've always fought it. I don't know if we are still destined to be together, but I do know something that might change your mind. She asks him "So do we date, of do I become your mistress?" Langston gets upset over the last part and tells her that he would never ask her to be his mistress. She tells him that she can't be with any man at that time. She has to focus on finding her son. Langston tells her that he can help her on that part. She shakes her head and said " I've already had everyone's help. No one could find him. "That's because I didn't want them to know. I didn't want him found until I was ready to tell you." "Langston, do you know where my son is?" "Yes." He tilts his head toward his two kids playing in front of them. He's right in front of us. What will Liesel do with the information Langston just gave her? Will Langston finally get the woman he has wanted for years? The answers to these questions will be answered in the next book. Even with the cliffhanger, this was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone. It would be a good idea to read the books in front of this one so that you know the backstory between Liesel and Langston and also know who the other characters are.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 3rd book in the Lies series for me this was by far the best. The rawness in the characters and their feelings throughout this book grips you and take your heart with them.
From the cliff hanger, desperate lies left on this book picked right back up and had you second-guessing your own thoughts on what is going to happen at every single point right up until the final words.
Langston and Liesels love-hate relationship seriously turn a corner in this book and some of the truths finally get revealed (I repeat some) don't even try to figure these two and their relationship and what went wrong with them because their lives and the pain they have lived through are like puzzles that fit together but they just can't figure out where.
Liesel is still the strong, hard feisty women she was throughout the first two books but this time we get to see the more vulnerable side to her, the side that she hides away even from Langston but as the story unfolds she can't hold back any longer and by the end of this book I no longer disliked her now I loved her.
Langston is well Langston the big scary bad boy who keeps every feeling and emotion locked behind the bad boy persona he likes to show everyone only this time we see the softer more caring, loving and the wonderful father he has become. deep down we could always see this side but in this book, it really shines through and Langston and Liesel's love for each other truly grows into something of beauty.
BUT That ending again Miss Ella Miles what are you doing to me... I need more and can not wait for cruel lies to be released because so far this story is magnificent and anyone that gets the chance should read this book and the rest of the series. You will be thanking me later!!!
Thank you again, Ella Miles, for allowing me to read this ARC I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "FATED LIES" WOW!!!!!! Buckle up for one intense emotional rollercoaster ride Ella Miles writes very interesting, captivating, intiguing, suspense filled storylines that grab you from beginning to end with intense passion, secrets, lies, betrayal, twists that you didn't see coming. Langston & Liesel's journey continues the pain, tears she had when Langston killed Waylon her fiance causing her to shoot his BF Siren on the Yacht he still couldn't kill her he had Maxwell her bodyguard take away on another boat and rushed Siren to hospital. Langston went to the Media Conference Nolan campaign manager for Waylon Brown was having and announced that Liesel would take over for him and run for office she gave her speech but didn't commit to running her eyes connected with Langston watching her. Langston was there to kidnap Liesel but they both ended up being kidnapped by an unknown captor looking for information on the treasure the torture they went through the emotional turmoil answers were an eye opener they managed to escape & finally succumbed to their desire to be with one another. I definitely recommend to get this book some answers were revealed things changed for Langston & Liesel after being together they get picked up by Enzo taken back to his home on the beach where there a mindblowing secret is revealed itS a jaw dropping moment. I so can't wait for book #4 "CRUEL LIES" next to see what happens after the shocking cliffhanger it can't come soon enough what an awesome read the whole series is a must have so well worth the read it won't disappoint.
This is book 3 in a dark romance cliffhanger series. You can't start with this one because you'll be lost. Read the first 2 books first and, better yet, read the series with Enzo and Kia and the series with Zeke and Siren first. They provide needed background information for you to understand many of the statements in this series.
Each book in the series ends with a cliffhanger. I knew this series about Langston and Liesel would not be a light beach read. I was sent Advance Reader Copies and waited until I had all the books in the series before starting it. I didn't want to be left hanging on that cliff, dangling by my fingernails while waiting for the next book. In truth, I knew this would be dark and had to work up to it before starting the series.
I expected this series to be full of violence, hate, conflicted feelings, resentment, lies and maybe a little love. The first book was as I expected and the second book had more than the first. This third book is finally starting to get to the little bit of love I was hoping for. Truths are starting to be spoken in addition to the lies. Langston and Liesel are put into a situation that may help them discover their true feelings.
The author enjoys keeping the reader in the dark and continues to do it. There are still more questions than answers. Every detail feels like a spoiler so I'm not going to give any. This book is similar to the second one with violence and lies, but Langston and Liesel are beginning to move toward resolving their issues. It's a small step in the right direction.
We pick up right where we left off and Liesel has just shot Siren. Langston is dumbfounded, this shouldn’t be happening, it’s like he’s watching a movie in slow motion. This can’t be happening but it is, Langston took Waylon so she evened the score. These two have been dancing around each other for years, there’s more to their relationship than either will admit.
Lies are their salvation, truths are their weakness. Left with no choice, Langston is determined to end the lies and get the truth and end Liesel, but can he really do it? Before he gets a chance, they are both taken, tortured and left to their own desires not knowing when or if they will get out alive, it’s one chance to have the one thing you’ve always wanted. They are standing on the precipice of what is and what could be. Their true feelings are at the surface and all they have to do is take the leap.
So many lies and truths mixed in, will Liesel survive the next truth that comes her way? So many twists and turns with their story and you definitely don’t want to miss this one, you will learn so much more about these two that your head will be spinning. LOVED IT!! I received a copy of this book.
Just as the title says…. lies, lies, lies. What to believe? Are lies really truths? And how about truths or, are they really half truths or full fledged lies? You think you know and then find out, nope, you know nothing. It’s a rollercoaster taking on so many twists and scary turns that you have to wonder if it will stay on the track or go off the rails?
Intense ?????….. oh yea, and then some
Intrigue?????…. it is written by Ella Miles, so that’s a given
Drama????? …. yep, it’s all there. Just wait for the kidnapping and torture. Talk about drama and lots of emotional angst. Ahhhh, but feelings come out and surface
And what about that BIG secret we find out?
I find myself questioning everyone and everything. I even keep wondering if Liesel and Langston will end up like Liesel’s parents and decide that treasure just isn’t worth it? But time will tell. And we’ll also have to wait to find out more about Phoenix, how she fits into this… or doesn’t. And what about Kai and Enzo?
So much to digest and question. More answers surely will follow.... but for now, we have a whopper of a cliffhanger.
Another twist while answers beget more questions Fated Lies (Lies Book 3) by Ella Miles is another fantastically suspenseful thrill ride. Langston and Liesel’s dancing around each other is brought to an abrupt halt, forcing them to confront each other. This book and this couple is the ultimate demonstration of how blurred the lines between hate and love can be, how destructive these powerful feelings can drive them to do unthinkable things while at the same time compel acts of love. I really enjoyed this installment of Langston and Liesel’s saga as it provided a true glimpse into each of them as well as together. There’s no doubt in this reader’s mind that these two belong together and deserve an amazing HEA and I am on pins and needles waiting to see what it’s going to take, how much sacrifice in moments will be required for them to finally achieve it. Overall, an emotionally compelling and suspenseful romance with a bit of darkness and danger thrown in in true Ella Miles fashion. This character rich book has me thoroughly intrigued and anticipating book 4. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily sharing my review.
I've been waiting for something more and yessss this book gives it! This is the vulnerable book; here you'll get answers, not all but some, you'll get more insights to Langston & Liesel's thoughts and feelings and you'll be so satisfied with the ending even though it is a cliffhanger.
It starts where the previous book ended, i.e; with Liesel shooting Siren, but the secrets continue. Langston is angry, Liesel is hurting and there are so many questions unanswered.
This is the third book of the series which depicts intense emotions-- anger, suspense, love, scorching chemistry, tension, understanding and tiny bits of crushed hope. As always, there are twists that will make us pull our hair out and then make us want to get book 4 already!
Did Liesel love Waylon? Will they share their parts of the letter?
•••••••••••••••••••••••• I've recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Continuing Lisesel and Langston's turbulent story. Could the Huntress become what the Killer never wanted her to be. After killing Waylon and witnessing Lisesel's destructive reaction has Langston reeling, how could he have been so wrong about his Huntress? But there are other threats out there against them to worry about, when they both get kidnapped, there not the only ones playing games. Will they turn their game of lies into truths in order to save one another? Just how far are they willing to go for the possibility of changing everything between them? A great addition to the nail biting series, Lisesel and Langston characters spark with the unknown that draws you in and the story line holds your attention all the way. (This book does end on a heart wrenching cliffhanger being book 3 of 6) this is a well written read, with suspense, desires, twists, and truths and lies! This is a series that just keeps on giving!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hunter and killer bound together, yet constantly at odds. Can they overcome the past to find their future?
This is book three of the series. I recommend starting at the beginning.
This is a dark romance story. The story is well written but not necessarily easy to read. There is a lot going on here and some of it is rather harsh making it occasionally challenging to read. The characters are well developed and fit the story very nicely. The plot has a lot of twists and turns to it which keep you reading to find out what comes next. I missed book one, but book two gave me what I needed to figure out all the players. I definitely recommend starting at the beginning. Also note that this story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Overall, the story was highly enjoyable and I look forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

5 stars are not enough. I think we jumped to 10 stars. Langston & Liesel’s story. Ever feel like your cheating on the one you love, I hated putting this book down at all, I didn’t want to take care of business, family, cook or clean! My mind was on Fated Lies at all times. This one was the best! The pain Liesel felt when she saw her fiancé dead on her bed which lead her to shoot. Who didn’t feel the anguish that Langston went through over his best friend, not telling what happened! Omg, how about the torture that Langston and Liesel went through together, not telling what happened! Some answers that were important to Liesel were answered. You see one emotional ride after the other, a page turner that no one wants to put down! I can’t wait for the next part of Langston and Liesel story!
Fated lies is another intense, suspenseful and steamy installment in the Lies series. This book is just as twisted and suspenseful as the previous books. However, the dynamic between Langston and Liesel evolves in this story. They still tell each other lies but they slowly begin to reveal secrets and truths to each other. They find themselves in a sticky situation and must work together in order to survive which brings them closer. These characters have a sizzling chemistry and a deep emotional connection with each other. This series has been so exciting to read and each book is better than the last. Just when I think I have things figured out, Ella Miles throws another shocking plot twist at me. That cliffhanger was definitely a shocker and I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.
So many questions but a huge secret reveal in Fated Lies. This one went really quickly as there wasn't a whole lot going on but some major feelings were revealed and a huge secret came to light. The chemistry really came to a boil in this one and has now kind of changed everything! How will they handle moving forward?? I'm still wavering between hating Langston and loving him for all the crap he's put Liesel through. Liesel really showed her strength in this one and I came to like her even more. She really starting to grow on me. Very well written with so much intrigue. Things happen that you would never guess and it keeps you on the edge of your seat! I really love this series and I can't wait to see what happens now. Especially with that last sentence!! Oh my goodness!!! Voluntary review of an ARC
Fated Lies it's the third installment in the Lies series by Ella James and can't be read as a standalone, only after books #1 and #2. This was a really good surprise following in this series: suspense packed, deceit, betrayal, and a bit more truths than lies, Liesl and Langston understand that in order to escape their recent captivity, they will need to work together instead of against each other. Being so near, will they finally aknowledge their true feelings? This is another well concocted account in the intense and action packed story of Liesl and Langston with a huge and unexpected twist and a no less unexpected turn that will leave you on the edge and hoping for a fast and furious drop of the fourth book.
Liesel will ensure Langston will pay for killing Waylon by taking the one person he is closest to. Langston will def want to kill her then~ Only, as they get ready to stow away for a limited time, they are taken by a new player to the game~ This person wants what they both have and only one can survive…if they tell the truth~ Newer games with new rules will now apply…outside players are also involved but Langston will have the one thing Liesel wants more than anything else in the world…what is it? How does he have it and why? Ends in another spectacular cliffhanger…Book three will definitely leave you wanting and panting for more…where will this all end? I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
We start as the last installment ended. Liesel has just killed the someone who precious to him and Langston killed someone that was important to Liesel. In the midst of them finally ending their game both of them are kidnapped and tortured. In the midst of that they begin to realize they have more love than hate for each other. When they willingly volunteer to die for each other and keep the other from experiencing pain. When they are able to get free Liesel and Langston realize they are through hurting each other. They start working through the parts they know resolved on working with each other. Ending with the answer Liesel has been looking for a long time.

This is book three in The Fated Lies Series and it continues the story of Langston and Liesel along with other popular characters thrown in and omg what an explosive cliff hanger. Langston and Liesel are in danger as they have been kidnapped and now trying to plan how to get out. Who has kidnapped them and why and will they get out alive. The twists and turns keep coming and you have to keep turning the pages to see what will happen next and I couldn't put this book down as it was so and and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series. This is not a standalone book you will need to read this series right from the first book but you will definitely not be disappointed as Ella Miles is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading.
I’m irrevocably hooked on this story. I am as frustrated about not knowing the secrets as Langston and Leisel are. I am intrigued by the map and by all the new secrets that get revealed little by little. The more that gets revealed, the more questions arise.
I’m beyond aggravated at Langston and Leisel lying to each other about so many things (because that gives me wrong information, too) and feelings, especially the feelings. There have been so many false starts and contradictions that even I can’t trust them.
In other words, I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
Ella Miles has once again chosen a heck of a place to end book 3. Arrgghh!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fated Lies by Ella Miles is book three in the Lies series, continuing the story of Liesel and Langston. The incredible ride with these two continues….You would think that the tension, action, and suspense would diminish as a story progresses like this….but, NO WAY…it just gets better and better!!!! The lies never cease and a BIG secret is divulged in this rendition of the story. There is another HUGE, HUGE cliffhanger!!! ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
Again, the elements of this story are stupendous…beautifully complicated….there’s nothing here that is as it seems!!! Can’t wait for the next book!!!!!
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I couldn't wait to download and read the third book in the series by the phenomenal author, Ella Miles. I was so engrossed and captivated by the story that I honestly could not stop reading it. When Liesel and Langston are captured, they both decide to work together to try to get free. While trapped, Liesel and Langston's chemistry and attraction for each other ignites. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of twists and turns, and a riveting story from beginning to the end of the story leaving the reader full of anticipation for the next book in Liesel and Langston series.
This is the third book in the continuing story of Liesel and Langston...takes up where the second book left off, Siren shot and Langston rushes his best friend to hospital...Waylon also discovered...they are kidnapped by someone who wants the secrets of the treasure...but can they work together to escape...more lies, but some actual truth comes out, as well as insights into each of the characters...more secrets, betrayal, lies and turns in this roll-a-coaster ride leading to another cliffhanger to insure that you will read the next chapter in Liesel and Langston's story...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the third book in the Lies series by Ella Miles and it does not disappoint. You have so many questions while reading this book. One huge secret is revealed in this book and the story line keeps you reading to the very end. There is tons of emotions and I can't believe what Langston puts Liesel through. Not sure if I really like this character though Liesel shows enormous strength. Things happen in this book that you would never expect and keep you reading to the last page. Good story and well developed characters. Looking forward to seeing what will happen next.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
So dark and so good. Langston and Liesel's story is so dark and so good. So far this series has been outstanding Ms. Miles has a great way of putting the grit into her tales. There are so many dirty tricks in this series and so many lies that the reader has to be completely engaged in the plot or they may lose their way. The depth the author has given the characters is again is outstanding. The ending is a cliffhanger but how will Liesel deal with it is the question for the next book. I cannot wait! I highly recommend this drama-filled piece. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Desperate Lies is the third book in the Lies series and continues the story of Langston and Liesel. I know I am late to reviewing this book but I have my reason.........I love to read several of Ella Miles' book in a row because the cliffhangers are killers and I just hate waiting. This is another yet another heart pounding, breath holding and nail biting book in this series. All I can say is that hold on tight because this book takes you on a roller-coaster that is way more than anything you will find at a Six Flags park.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
