A lifelong teller of tales, MJ Miller grew up inspired and mentored by an entertaining collection of master storytelling matriarchs. Women who could spin a yarn better than anyone. A native New Yorker and mother of two amazing women, MJ and her fabulously supportive husband share their Tucson home with their resident feline geniuses, Darwin and Miss Chloe. A hopeless romantic, MJ loves to tell tales filled with romance, mystery and mayhem that keep the reader turning pages long into the night.
I am already a fan of MJ Miller’s books. This is another one to add to her growing list of credits. It’s one of those books that pulls you into the story, and you can’t put it down. I loved the characters. They were fun, intriguing, and likable. The twists in the plot were fascinating and will keep you guessing to the very end. Great read!
Pulls You in From the Beginning and Doesn't Let Go Until the Ending
Great read. I love MJ Miller's books and this one is awesome. We met Luce in 'All About Annie' and I am so happy this book is about her. We also met Andy in the first book. Other characters from 'All About Annie' are also in this book so the two tie together nicely. I felt like I was involved in their lives.
Luce is a smart, dedicated, strong woman who struggles to find her way in this world as we travel along with her on a journey of growth and discoveries. She has closed her heart to men, all except Andy that is. She tries to rebuff the charismatic, strong-willed detective but he is not easily turned away.
Phantom of Execution Rocks is a mystery and love story beautifully woven together as it uncovers ancient mysteries about the past, complications of the present, and a possibility of what the future may hold. It is a book that I wanted to keep reading chapter after chapter. I seriously did not want to put it down.
Thank you MJ for an excellent story with wonderful characters and a plot full of twists and turns that will keep you dangling until the end.
I didn't realize this was the 2nd book in a series until I had already started it but I loved it. I was pulling for the two main characters Luce and Andy from the beginning. Luce wants no part of falling in love but Andy is determined. Both are strong and determined to not change their feelings.
The book moves along quickly and is an easy read. I will be getting the first in the series to learn more about Luce's sister Annie. As an avid reader, I need to know more.
