3.75 stars Saw this as a recommendation on Twitter and started reading it on Tappytoon. The story was cute and it had some good dramatic scenes to keep me hooked. I read the ending in Korean since the translation is only up to chapter 71/81 (+ 5 extras) but it was still really good. Would recommend if you’re looking for a reverse bodyguard troupe and a happy ending.
I don't know why this is rated so low on GR, but I reaaaaallly loved this story.
It's obviously not culturally accurate and I honestly don't read manga/manhwa or web novels with the expectation that they will accurately depict or represent a specific culture tbh..
Illustrated novels for me are more about the creative / fantasy aspect combined with beautiful illustrations. So, yea, I don't really judge them so harshly (especially when some mangas have crappy translations, so you have to lower your expectations anyway).
That being said, I think Hani (main lead) is super badass and that's something you don't see in a lot of Korean / Japanese mangas. I really enjoyed reading this story and can we please talk about how hot Ashan is? Honestly, every character in this story was badass and had their own development and backstory.
I enjoyed reading this story so much I switched to the Arabic translation because the English wasn't updating fast enough and I was dying to know what'll happen.. I've never done that before.. like ever.. Usually If I start reading a book/series in a specific language, I'll stick to that language till the end, but I just couldn't help myself!
oh, i absolutely LOVE this. i really didn’t think i would, but man, here we are nonetheless!!! overall, very unique characters and dynamics between said characters. i genuinely appreciate them as a couple, too—which is indeed very strange, given how we started out. this is all very new to me, lol! can’t say i’m disappointed with the story’s development, though. we’ve got two broken pieces who still found a way to fit together perfectly and make it work in the long-run. love to see it!
and hey, let’s not forget about the GORGEOUS art style while we’re at it, too! man, nothing about this feels ordinary to me. the plot, the art, the characters, the ride of emotions… 10/10, i’d say. maybe i’m the weird one for thinking that, but that’s my opinion nevertheless. two negatives do make a positive, after all! it’s basic math, hehehe. ;)
side note: i know this isn’t your typical 10/10 story for most people, but i review based on my personal experiences and feelings while reading. given the fact that i straight up binged this in one sitting and never got bored, i’d say that’s reason enough to give it 5 stars. i’m kinda disappointed there aren’t any more bonus chapters. ;(

A lot of people who have claimed that this is Islamophobic and full of Muslim stereotypes. I personally am not knowledgeable enough to tell you if that’s true, but I definitely think it’s something you should consider before reading.
I personally enjoyed the drama and their toxic relationship. I in no way think that it’s healthy, but when it’s a story like this I tend to put on my blinders and just embrace the crazy.
I remember absolutely loving this and I just got around to actually finishing it so I’m giving it four stars even though I don’t really remember what happened. Read all the way till chapter 97.
