This book tells you about Johnny Cash, but you don't get to know him. Apparently this contains plenty of rehashed information from other books about Cash, which appears to be the only research the author did. An okay book if you want a superficial overview, but if you want to understand the intricacies of a complex man and really get involved in his life, look elsewhere.

A good book, left me disapointed in the movie of the same name, as I felt is sensationlised certain aspects of his life into a unfair impression.

This is awful. Just awful. The amount of things this book gets wrong, easily established facts. Awful.
