This was a really good book of witchcraft fundamentals. A lot of good information from term definitions to actual spellwork was included and discussed in a very understandable manner for those who are complete newbies to the subject matter. I love the author's approach to the subject. She has such a good voice in her writing that makes the subject matter very approachable and easy to understand. I'm a big fan of secular witchcraft in specific so it is great to have books that utilize it as their core principle. I am definitely going to be continuing on with this author's works.

This is a good book for complete noobs like myself. If I had to guess I would say the author is not very traditional at all, which seems to be beneficial for me as a skeptic. This is the type of book you will want to take notes for or highlight to go back to stuff. I will definitely be going back to look at some of the information in this book. I gave it a quick read at first because I wanted to digest it without thinking a lot about the process of witchcraft. Now I can go back and dive deeper into the visualization of how spells work.

Very accessible to beginners and reasonably informative, this book could easily be read in a single sitting! The reason I’m not rating it higher is twofold: it doesn’t go into nearly enough depth on most things (even from a beginner’s perspective) and the author speaks very authoritatively on some issues while being really open to interpretation/personalization on others, making the tone of the book a little confusing!

Wanted a little more

Ultimately a great book, but sometimes I was wanting just a little bit not detail. I learned things, but not as in depth as of hoped. I still recommend it though as it is a great jumping point.

A needed resource for the true practitioner!

A fantastic read and especially for those of us who have been solitary practitioners for a while but need a little encouragement or direction. Concise, poignant, and funny!
