This is a really good intro to natural makeup book. If you’re looking for something more advanced or more colorful this is not the book for you. That being said there are a lot of great and useful tips and I appreciate her dedication to letting the real skin through and emphasizing features you already have. Full disclosure I didn’t read the last section of the book where she interviewed people because it’s not about makeup and it looked boring. 3.5 stars.

Sonia Kashuk might not be as famous as some modern beauty influencers but she's a professional makeup artist who have done looks on famous faces on Vogue covers throughout the 90's. What I appreciate about her approach is that despite working in high fashion, her look is natural, easy and focused on making each person look her best. There are some famous models in her book, she also shows regular women and one model in her 70's.

This was only okay. Frankly, on all the "tutorial" sections, I could barely tell a difference between the before and after photos, which was annoying. But at least there are some good tips in here, and Sonia didn't blatantly use the book as a plug for her line.
