Organized for Christmas Wishes is a holiday novelette in the popular Organized Mysteries series. The series features a small town New England setting and interesting characters, along with humor, strong family and friendship ties, and absorbing cozy mysteries.
Ritter Ames is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Organized Mysteries series and the Bodies of Art Mysteries series. When she's not writing or brainstorming new mysteries Ritter is usually trying to get her favorite yellow Lab to stay out of the pond, or keep her grouchy black cat from trying to give the dog away on Freecycle. Ritter would love to live on a boat and write from far flung locations around the globe, but the dog would constantly have to be fished from the water, and her husband and cat would just complain endlessly about the dog's smell, so staying on land seems to be the only good option to keep her sanity and not get sidetracked from writing.

It’s Christmas in a small town. Two friends are volunteering, baking cookies for the big cookie giveaway. And a Secret Santa is making sure everyone enjoys the Christmas spirit.
It’s a very short cozy Christmas story. It’s marketed as a cozy mystery, and therein lies the biggest flaw of the story for me because there’s barely any mystery at all. The execution of the story just isn’t really my cup of tea to be honest. It’s simply put too uneventful. But I do like the concept of a Secret Santa who brings joy to the world, or at least to everyone in their small town. And keep in mind that this is probably just a case of me not being the right reader for this kind of story.
I love reading Christmas books. Most are firmly entrenched in the spirit that is Christmas. They are what I call comfort reading. This book fit perfectly into that. I love this series so I was excited to get this. It filled my senses with holiday sights, sounds and smells. Mostly though it drenched my heart in that wonderful spirit found at Christmastime. I was left with a heart full of love, hope, healing, and kindness. Read this book. I hope it fills your soul with the wondrous magic of the season, whatever season you read it in.
As far as Christmas short stories go this one is was good. I'm not sure what the regular mysteries are for this series as this is the first book I've read in the series, but there wasn't much of a mystery: Someone in town is granting Christmas wishes. As there are only about 42 pages in this book (which includes a recipe and character interview) the mystery isn't drawn out either. If you are a fan of this series, this book is a fun way to spend Christmas with the characters.
This book was so much fun to read. I hated to put it down at night. You will call in love with all the characters in this story and hate to have it end. I
If you are looking for a quick read Christmas novella with a little mystery twist this book is one to read.

Just a wonderful, feel-good short story! No murder in this one, which is perfect for Christmastime. Just a nice small town in New England celebrating with family and friends. Love the ending of this holiday read!
I love this series by Ritter Ames and can't wait for the next book. If you're like me and love a great cozy with characters you will love and a story that keeps you turning the page then this one is a must read
It's Christmas time in Hazelton, Vermont. Kate McKenzie and her best friend Meg Berman are interested in the town's holiday activities including a window decorating contest and a cookie exchange. There is a mystery to be solved too. A secret Santa is granting Christmas wishes anonymously. If you are looking for a quick holiday read, you'll enjoy this story by Ritter Ames which is part of her Organized Mysteries.
Kate McKenzie seems to have tips and tricks for organizing or simplifying every situation. With a mischievous cat and eight year old twins in the house, getting all done and not dispelling the secret of Santa can be a challenge. She teams up with neighbor and bestie Meg for a town wide cookie swap, organized by her nemesis. While there they meet a new comer to town.
Sweet and comfy, this quick tale brings out the best of the season.
The books says it’s a cozy mystery but honestly it lacks that element. It’s a cute holiday story about a mom and her small town friends getting organized for the upcoming Christmas celebrations. However, with it being a mystery I was hoping for something suspenseful. I kept turning the pages for something exciting to happen but it never did.
A short story set in small town Hazelton, VT during Christmas preparations. Organizer Kate McKenzie is able to check another thing off her to do list when she figures out who is the Secret Santa helping out in unexpected ways. No dead bodies for this read, but it helps get one in the mood for the holiday.
This novella is just the right length for a reading break during the holidays. It's my introduction to this author and I will definitely be looking up more of her books in the future.
This is a sweet Christmas story with two best friends, their families, and a small town. Very short, run read with likeable characters. I would recommend!
Nice to have a mystery other than those involving murder. This ws short, sweet, and holiday oriented. Loved the descriptions of the town, decorations, and cookies.
