The plan was to fly to Vegas for my best friend’s wedding,
It was not to accidentally get married myself, end up with a fake boyfriend, and to fall in love with the enemy.
Where do I even start….
Sometimes I feel like I’m dreaming because this absolutely couldn’t be true.
After Luke broke my heart and left six years ago, I never thought I’d give him another chance. Let alone get drunk and marry him on a whim.
But then, when reality set in and my new husband presented me with an option, it became hard for me to say no.
Luke has promised to do me a big favor if I pretend to be his girlfriend and make his ex-fiancée jealous.
That shouldn’t be hard. Right?
What is hard is ignoring the very real attraction between us.
This may have seemed like the perfect plan, but when the truth comes out, everything might come crumbling down around us.
Luke
What could be worse than waking up married in Vegas with no memory of it?
Being married to my little sister’s best friend…
Gabi has always been off-limits.
It’s why I ran after the kiss we shared years ago.
But when we’re brought back together in Vegas for my little sister’s (and her best friend’s) pre-wedding parties…
I wake up hitched to the woman I’ve been trying to forget for years.
My sister is going to kill us if she finds out, but it does afford me an opportunity I never thought I’d have.
To get revenge on my ex by playing up my “relationship” with Gabi.
Only our act becomes all too real.
And secrets are hard to keep.
In the end, when the celebration ends and the dust settles, it’s time to finally go after what’s mine.
Author’s Get ready for a fun, emotional and steamy billionaire romance with a happily ever after and no cheating! Each book in this series is a standalone and can be read in any order.
Gabi is in Vegas for her best friend's Bachelorette party and runs into Luke her bestie's brother. Sparks fly between them again but Gabi fights her attraction because of something that happened between them in the past. Luke's ex was brought along with her new man which makes things somewhat hard for him. So he offers Gabi an offer to help her job raise money to stay open if she helps him deflect questions about his ex by pretending to be his girlfriend. She agrees but when they wake up next to each other with wedding rings things seem to get complicated between them. Can Luke convince her that he wants to be with her before its too late? Will Gabi leave him for a misunderstanding?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A funny & sexy second chance romance... This had everything, Typical drunk wedding in Vegas, then an arrangement to fake it as a couple at his sister's wedding, but their "faking it" was actually a rekindling of love that never truly died. Well written, great dialogue & fun with a great level of heat. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
This book was also great. It was everything I needed in a good read. The storyline kept me interested and the characters were great and down to earth. I am going onto book 3.
I don't like brother's best friend romances. It is usually a weak conflict. "I can't date you because my friend will be mad." (In a whiny voice.) It makes sense when the guy is a slut and his friend doesn't want the slut to sleep with his sister. It makes no sense when the girls are friends, they all grew up together, and the sister is pressuring the brother to move on since his engagement ended 6 months ago.
The backstory is interesting but didn't play out in a way that felt real. The timing was way off. Luke's parents died before her freshman year of college. They kissed, then he went to nyc to work and the girls went to college. He was 3 years older than them, so he should have been a senior in college. Did he drop out? She should have spent the next 4 years at school and the next 4 years at vet school. I don't see a deep betrayal that he ran away or abandoned his sister in her time of need.
Luke's pov turned me off a bit. His talk about wanting a trophy wife and then ignoring her made me dislike him. As well as his desire to stay away from Gabi because emotions were scary. I didn't understand the motivation for keeping the marriage license a secret or going behind her back to set up a deal to keep the shelter open. How did Gabi's sister not set that all up already?

This was an interestingly convoluted romance. Key is that when her best friend’s parents die her brother has to leave San Francisco to go run the company in NYC. Alas, she had secretly loved him. Now her best friend is having a Vegas pre-wedding party and wedding in S.F. Meanwhile, she is finishing her Vet training and struggling for funding for a Vet office that is more an animal rescue with matching to those who need emotional support animals. The setup is tangled with her wanting to lose her virginity (to get over him) with a louse in the party and his former fiancé wanting to mess the whole thing up for her own motives. This is a relatively clean romance. Not sure how he doesn’t realize she was a virgin. Oh, one irritant. It isn’t called golfing.
It was just ok. The cover with the muscular tattooed model makes no sense in the context for the story.
There was no chemistry between them…it was more or less the author telling you that they’ve fallen for each other and the reader is supposed to buy into the romance bc she said so…and their backstory do having grown up together. There are no reference point for how their feeling developed. There’s also no clear reason why Gabi felt so devastated over Like leaving 6 years prior.
Same story of H breaking h heart, living up life, manwhoring, getting engaged to someone else..while apparently thinking of h. As usual the h can't move on, is poor, low self esteem, until the H decides he has always loved her. Really pathetic. The breakup by other woman another cliche..and he gets back with h by saving/finding her puppy..that's all it takes for years of betrayal these days.
Bestfriends brother, such sweet sweet details. Waking up married to the brother of your best friend that you got your heart broken from years ago is just the cherry ontop. You know sometimes something don't always stay in Vegas, especially marrying your brothers best friend and falling in love with him ALL over agin.
DNF at 30%. For every sentence, the characters spoke there was a paragraph of repetitive inner dialogue. I'm not sure also why would they think his sister would be mad at them for dating. Her best friend and her brother who she loves. Weak excuse. But I guess that's a trope issue, not this books. OH and as far as I can tell that tatted-up hottie on the cover has nothing to do with this book.
The overall story was super cute, I mostly just didn’t like the inner dialogue right in the middle of scenes, it was just too much. There were also a few wording errors in the story. Oh, and I don’t like when the covers don’t align with the story. The guy on this cover is nothing like the MMC.
I haven't really read the "wake up married" trope before. But this author handled it like a pro in my opinion. The story was cute and Luke has alpha tendencies which I liked. The only thing that I would have liked to seen more is more banter and less internal monologue. I have already grabbed the next one in this series!
This is book number 2 in series of 3. I enjoyed reading this book, loved the characters and the plot. This is a perfect read for a lazy afternoon. Would recommend this book to others.

I made it to chapter 4 and had to stop. The inner dialogue last sometimes from 3-5 pages. That is too much for me. I like for a book to get to the point but be interesting and keep my attention. This did not happen for me with this book.
Loved this Book!!What more could you ask for….A few too many drinks in Vegas…flirting & jealousy then getting married while drunk or did they (Luke and Gabi) and the ex-fiancé Victoria of the brides brother who is a total bitch and 2nd chance for true love and happiness for Luke and Gabi.

I loved the characters in this one, even little Sultan who played his part in the romance, I always find a big brother romance to be a an amazing romance, long lost love, desire passing between them, a failed get together in the early stages, this one had it all.
Luke and Gabi embark on journey filled with hurts, truths, lies and trying to rekindle a fire that never quite burned out. This was a angsty, entertaining and enjoyable story. I enjoyed this book.
The beginning felt disconnected in parts. At some points it felt too long and other too short and it made it difficult to keep reading. The final chapters and epilogue were the best parts
Of course the cover art is what drew my attention. All those tattoo's should have lot's of stories. But no, not one mention of him having any tattoo's. Then there was the constant state of both of them over thinking everything. The book was okay, but needed more.
