Wrap up each day in the comfort of Gerhardt's evening hymn. Tuck in your little ones as they drift off to this sweet lullaby, praying for God's protection throughout the night.
A quilted touch accents the soft and dreamy watercolors, enveloping the reader in the security of God's lovingkindness.
A beautiful way to end any day. Schumacher once again portrays the hymn in an enchanting and meaningful set of drawings. I love the “Little House on the Prairie” feel of the illustrations. My only complaint is that not all stanzas are included, but a wonderful way to end our bedtime prayers nevertheless.
Actual church hymns are not just about singing. They teach us and help to reinforce what we hear (why do you think they ABCs are set to music?!). Good hymns can be sung or listened to or used devotionally or prayed. Why not start the littlest Christians out with their very own sturdy hymn books!
