What Should I Do if the School Bully is Interested in Me 被校霸看上了怎么办

Rate this book
Ji Liao was particularly distressed lately. He had been “sexually harassed” for no reason. Moreover, the other party was a man! Never mind that it was a man but it was well-known class grass and school bully——He Cheng Ming!

– He Cheng Ming in front of others: “You wanna fucking die?” “Better shut your mouth!” “Get lost! As far as you can!” He Cheng Ming in front of Ji Liao: “Baby, you smell so nice~” “My dear, you’re so sexy!” “I’ll always listen to you. Kiss me okay?”

– Experienced Overbearing Perverted Seme VS Novice Shy Cowardly Uke

Another school romance for me 😂. When am I going to be old enough to stop reading these? I wish I had an exciting high school life like the main characters of this story.

I think the best part was the romance. They slowly build a strong and healthy relationship, with a few mishaps on the way. Some of their actions were questionable, but they were teenagers! I think it fitted their personalities. They hide stuff and made a few mistakes, but they learned to trust each other because of it.

I was surprised to see so many side couples. Those stories were also good and quite different from the main one.

The plot was nothing new, but it felt refreshing thanks to the unique characters. If you like this genre you should try this one.

This was actually very fun to read. I dunno why there are a lot of low star reviews. For me, the novel is catered more for young adults fujoshi and fudanshi. I don’t mind the exaggerated rich guy, poor guy concept but to be honest it was depicted quite realistically. Because of China’s one child policy, there are a lot of rich second generations in the country, even up to now. Family image and bloodlines are indeed of utmost importance for Chinese families. I also felt like I read two novels instead of just one. After the main story, the side stories could have been written as another novel story. The second lead couple’s story hooked me more than the first lead couple. I got more interested in reading the side stories than I did with the main story!

pros: nice characters and a very sweet relationship dynamic, pacing overall pretty good and it was a nice light read, nice side characters (rly liked meng yaoyao), the fact one of the side couples was her was refreshing

cons: can’t speak that well on one of the side couples bc i didn’t read their extras but the beginning of the relationships just feel very odd and abrupt and could’ve been worked out more, especially the main couples change from oh no this scary dude wants to date me to oh he’s kinda fine let’s actually date was very abrupt and quick which felt weird

Glad the brother is not gay but Jiang Qi (brother's wife) is a bit inconsistent character. I mean, it will be great if they both fall in love after marriage but then it turns out JQ likes the brother since she's in high school.. and that she's just playing hard to get??? Huh, kinda disappointed. Also the fact that she likes MC and wait for MC to breakup with ML.. I'm like, what???

Also, this is typical drama, ML is bad student but first place in the entire school for grade and reputation. Zzzz.

DNF at chapter 37.
It's really boring... It may be the setting. I'm already quite old so school setting is not that apealing to me anymore specially when one of this kids behave like he's some kind of sugar daddy...
In the chapters I read, I couldn't find a single reason for me to keep going other than the fact that I really hate dnf'ing stuff. In the end I had to do myself a favor and drop this when I noticed my indiference towards this read started to turn into disgust.

2.5* I thought this was a rom com but nooo it has no comedy T_T
The story is pretty dramatic in a soap opera way and with the consent line a bit blur some times...

I totally lost the interest on the main couple pretty much in the 20% but finish this up ONLY because I wanted to know about the secondary couple ;_;!
They all have happy ending at least.

The story of the main pair was very fluffy and without much drama, and wasn’t much to my liking. Things got good when the extras came around though. Loved Gu Ming Ren and Lin Jiang’s story.

This is not a book that requires a lot of mental engagement. It's mostly tooth-rotting fluff. There's a couple issues with the initial establishment of the main CPs relationship, mainly because He Cheng Ming comes on REALLY strong and is not interested in no, but he is, for the most part, respectful of Ji Liao's boundaries. Their relationship very quickly comes together and most of the rest of the story is He Cheng Ming being a doting, loyal boyfriend. All of the conflicts in the story are resolved incredibly easily, although YMMV on whether or not you're satisfied with that conflict's resolution.
The second CP is trash though. I didn't even bother to read the extras because what little you saw of it in the main text told me I was NOT going to be happy with it.
Another plus is that, for the most part, this story is really good to its female characters, which shouldn't be something I have to say but there you have it. YMMV as well on whether or not you find fujoshi characters overtly shipping people who they actually know discomfiting (I really do) but Xu Xiao Ming is a steadfast ally to Ji Liao and even Meng Yao Yao, who had a crush on He Cheng Meng, takes being shot down with grace and does what she can to support their relationship. I have mixed feelings on Jiang Qi because I really, really wanted to like her and if you can ignore her blatant willingness to try and obtain someone who already has a significant other, she is an awesome big sister-type character. But also. She was absolutely willing to wreck her brother-in-law's relationship just because she thought his boyfriend was cute.
Overall, the story is a simple read and a nice way to pass the time but it doesn't particularly stand out in any way.
