Misty is the name of the woman who once had everything, a powerful pack, a family who protect her and a man who loved her deeply. Gray is the shell of a woman who was forced to pick up the pieces of her shattered life and move on.
After my father's death, my lover suddenly wasn't good enough for me, according to my mother, so I was expected to love another wolf, breaking our rules and traditions. When I refused to marry an arrogant jerk, I was hunted by my pack.
Leaving it all behind, I made a life in Silver Springs, though every time I hear a wolf howling in the distance, I fear that the hunt will begin again.
Refusing to date for love, I intentionally pick the worst of the worse, including a dark wizard who nearly killed the people I care about.
Is it time for me to grow up and confront my past so that I can finally find love? Should I make a wish to see how my future will turn out? Or will I continue to hide and pretend that I'm a familiar living a boring life as a local tattoo artist?
Misty is a paranormal romance reverse harem. It is part of the Silver Springs shared universe.

Ah! Can you believe it? After this book there are only three more! Three! It will be over within a month! I'm slightly panicking, because those were my comfort books and now I'll have to find that comfort somewhere else, but fine. I'm very thankful that the authors have made my lockdown so much better by giving me ARCs for this series and I'm only very happy to read the books and to leave this honest and voluntary review.
I'm a fan of Barret's writing in general and in this book she proves once again why. She has the amazing talent to really bring all the individual characters to life. We get to see them at their best, we get to see them at their worst, we read how they struggle and doubt, we read how they fall in love and we read how they deal with the challenges life throws their way. With small details, memories and quirks, Barret shows us these characters have a life and a personality.
I also really love how all her books take place in the same world. That means that she's not explaining much of her magic and mythology anymore in this book, but I think that she's showing quite clearly how everything works and that even if you didn't read any of her other books you won't need much time to catch up. And in this book she introduced a completely new species and it might be my favorite supernatural creature EVER in this shared universe!
On top of that Barret always makes sure that the book has a gripping plot. Of course, she makes sure that the characters have some time to get to know each other and to explore the mate bond, but there's always a lot going on. In this book we get to know Grey, who we already met in Dahlia, much better and it's her history catching up with her leading to the thrilling and very action-packed finale that made me forget to breathe.
I can't wait to read Barret's next books! I don't think I'll ever grow bored with her characters, her world and her stories!
I’ve been waiting to read more about Gray since I read about her in Dahlia last year! I liked how Tabitha went a little darker with this story than her others and it kept me hooked. This book was filled with steam, danger, and an amazing found family. Gray is jaded from being burned by past relationships, having to grow up too fast, and taking care of her younger brother, Milo. I loved her snarky, fierce, and flirty personality. Out of the guys, Cillian had to be my favorite. I love an Irish accent and I did have a feeling of what he actually was. James was next because I loved his protective personality and the friendship he had with Gray. Gunner was my least favorite, but I still think he was good for her in the end. I loved seeing Dahlia and her guys again, along with some other Silver Springs residents (especially Storm and Eirwen). I hope Tabitha will get some art done up of Gray’s wolf because I’d love to see her vision of it. I can’t wait for Charlie to get her own story because I absolutely need to know more about her secret past!
I love Misty, she´s a total badass. This girl was ready to defend her mates against anyone so she could be with them and finally be happy. Of his three mates, my favorite was without a doubt, James, I love books about friends-to-lovers and that´s how their relationship worked, and he´s also really sweet and he loved Misty. I also love Cillian, I like the type of creature he is and I would love to know more about him. And the third one, Gunner, I hated him, I was not happy that he was joining the harem but eventually I started to like him, so you just need to have patient with him and hear his story. Overall, the book is really good and easy to read, it has the perfect combination of romance, action and steamy scenes, you´re going to love Misty and her mates, and her story is really interesting. Also, if you know who Charlie is, you need to read this book, that girl is amazing and we see more of her in this book, I´m hoping that Tabitha writes a book about her cause I love her, even if you don´t know who she is, read this book and get to know her.
Misty and her brother escaped from her former pack. They were trained to become assassins/ninjas. They both were pure of heart and couldn't deal with the violence any longer. They both made a run for it and landed in Silver Springs. Eight years later, their lives are about to change.
I don't want to choose favorites, because they are all amazing. However, this one was pretty awesome. You not only had lovable characters, but so much action, suspense, super hot & steamy times, rejected mate, second chance, and a guard cat! Also, so many cameos made an appearance in this one. I loved it!
I received an ARC and voluntarily gave my honest opinion and review
I love teh fact that Misty gets her own storey after she appreared briefly in one of the books from the Library series. She is a tough cookie with a soft centre and i absolutely loved everything about this storey Misty has been on teh run for along time but just when she was feeling settled bam she is confronted with three mates and this kicks in her flight response again, Brilliant told storey with some really endearing moments, lots of steam and the fun and meyhem that you woudl expect from silver s=rings, plenty of sizzle and steam Just loved this installment!!
I so love that Gray finally gets her own story and meets her mates. With a dangerous past, Misty/Gray, is hiding in silver springs our super paranormal town. I love how real she is and how great she is and how hot and steamy her mates turn out to be. It’s an exciting storyline and a fantastic addition to this Steamy RH Paranormal Romance series.
Everyone's favorite play the field tattoo artist isn't playing around when it comes to her commitment-phobia. Playing the field, loving and leaving them is Grey's style. If the man in question is epically unsuitable, sign her up.
Grey walked away from her old life when she was younger and had no desire to look back. When Grey's past shows up on her front lawn, some things have to change, but she doesn't know if she's ready to face it, but knows she must.
Misty is full of unexpected turns, hilarious encounters, and all the heat you would expect. Book 12 of the Silver Skates season does not disappoint and encourages readers to believe that you can leave the past behind and forge a better, stronger future.
Misty, aka Grey, is a wolf shifter from a mercenary group. She left her pack and took roots in Silver Springs working at the tattoo parlour. When she goes skating, the magic ice skates connect her to her three mates: her best friend's brother, her ex and her current crush. However, her ex still belongs to the mercenary group and is in town for on of her other mates. Grey will need to protect all of her mates and cut all ties with her previous pack if she wants her happy ever after.
I think this is hands down one of my favourite books in the Silver Skates series, if not in the Silver Springs whole series. Grey is so strong and although she has the urge to run away to protect her and her brothers she cannot let her pack take whoever they are hunting. She has to face her fears and her family.
I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.
I loved this so much definitely my favourite out of all the Silver Skates books so far. I've seriously been looking forward to gray's story and I was not disappointed it had that little something extra that has been missing in the other books and I seriously loved it!! Cannot wait to read more books by Tabitha Barret in this series!!
The book many people have been waiting for. Misty aka Gray has been in the other books and she is a very private person. She is a wolf shifter and the pack she is from are a bunch of mercs. She has been in Silver Springs for a while. So Misty likes to have fun if you know what I mean. She has not had the best track record with men so she just decides to have fun with it. I was like good for you Misty. However, she can never forget the one guy she will always love. Then there is James who has been in love with Gray for a while. Even though he has a reputation but since seeing her he does not feel the need to indulge himself until he mans up and tells her how he feels. We also have Cillian who has had is eyes on Gray as well. Then a blast from her past comes strolling in her life and thinks well maybe he can get a two for one deal. This person is Gunner. Now it seems like she is up the creek without a paddle. What will she do know that trouble is on the horizon. Will she run or stay? The story builds up and it was all exciting. It especially gets exciting after she puts on the skates and sees the glow for her mates. Question is will they all accept the mate bond? One is questionable. So will Gray get her happily ever after. This is one story you do not want to miss.
Misty, or Gray as she was known in the past is a character that has come up a few times in the Silver Springs books and I've always been intrigued by the character and wanting to know more. Now it's finally her time to shine and find her mates. I really wasn't expecting her backstory to be what it was and dang her family/pack are definitely brutal.
After running away from her old pack along with her brother, they both end up in Silver Springs where they both manage to get a job at Dahlia's tattoo parlor. Her mates are definitely an interesting trio, especially Cillian. I kept thinking he was going to be a vampire, but how wrong was I.
Gray is totally against commitment, especially after what happened to her in the past. At this point, she has pretty much slept with everyone in Silver Springs, much to Dahlia's dismay. And it was fun to see her trying to fight against the mating bond once she found her mates. She is certainly a tough nut to crack, but no one is ever that strong and finally, the guys do start cracking that hard exterior. I for one am glad that Gray got her the happily ever after that she deserved.
We met Misty - Grey - in Dahlia and while both books are stand alone, it's worth reading Dahlia first, as she and her mates pop up as supporting characters here.
Misty and her brother ran away from their old pack, and kept running. She's made sure not to have any emotional ties she might regret having to leave behind. Until her past catches up with her.
Misty is a fun character - she's got a tough shell, but there's a vulnerability that she doesn't want to admit to. Her mates are also an interesting mix, but all give her what she needs. I also enjoyed catching up with characters introduced in Dahlia, some of which are settled, but there's a couple I'd love to see get their own tales, too.
Wolf Shifter and Tattooist Misty/Gray's (FMC) is a little less sweet and funny than the usual Silver Skates/Springs books in both series. Which i really liked. Grays life hasnt been the greatest. Rejected by her mate and a pack of mercenaries who were cruel to her & her brother. Only when Gray and her brother leave to start a new life in Silver Springs but their new life collides with the old one when Gunner (Her Ex mate) arrives there to cause trouble. Swoon..........Bartender - James and Funeral Director - Cillian i loved both of them. I couldnt help but laugh at Necro Kitty and Charlie was a bit of a surprise. I cant wait for her book. Shes a dark horse. Back to Gray she was snarky, quick witted and strong willed. All of which made for a good read. I loved this book as much as the others ive read before. A cracking read
Trying to run from your past can be a tricky thing. For Misty AKA Gray, a wolf shifter, it's all but impossible. Working as a tattoo artist in Dahlia's shop along with her younger brother Milo is where their troubles start. After running for years, the two of them finally settled down in Silver Springs but all too quickly their past started to catch up to them thanks to Misty's first mate; Gunner. After running into him again, she also finds out she has two other mates James (a wizard and pub owner) and Cillian (the owner of the local funeral parlor). Can her mates help Misty and Milo conquer their past or will their past conquer them?
Misty is awesome, she tries her best to take care of and protect her brother and friends. She has her way of dealing with men but of course that all changes when she has her mates. Misty's mates are also unique in their own ways.
I was so excited and loved how we finally got to see the story behind Gray and why she acted the way she did. While she hid behind men there was also a sweet and caring side to her while also being fiesty and willing to do anything for her friends and family in order to keep them safe. There was never a dull moment and I loved the Necro kitty and I just wouldn't want to mess with her but as long as you get permission from Grey she's a right softy to the right person and I loved how Grey wanted to give her a home. I loved all her mates even Gunner in the end after every thing that happened between them and who would have thought an undertaker could be so sexy with his sexy suits and his cool and collected demeanor while making you guess what he is, I just loved james who helps run o'malley's and will do any thing for Grey even when he had to do a body shot which I found super hot and i loved his reaction and how he's a bit of an Alpa when it comes to her and I just loved how Iclyn was introduced in to the story while making friends and making you eager for more.
So I started this last night and had a hard time putting it down. It’s one of the stories I had been looking forward too. Gray being one of the characters from Dahlia’s book was interesting to me and I wanted her story. But of course now I want Charlie’s that is how it goes though right? You get introduced to someone in a book and the you want to know all their secrets! It gets exciting finally getting their story. I am really happy with how it all turned out. Gray is quite a flawed character with an intriguing past . She was fun getting to know. I can’t wait for more stories but we are getting close to the end of this season now.
As the 12th book in the Silver Skates series, Misty, authored by Tabitha Barret, can be counted as one of my favorites.
Watching Misty, who now goes by the mysterious name if Gray, try to emotionally escape her dangerous and unhappy past, we see the secret underside of her need to keep others, especially men, safely away from her heart.
We also get to watch her life get turned upside down, when her mate threads show up, after wearing the series’ specially spelled skates.
Enjoy the transformation, after both internal and external adventures finally provide Gray with her Happily Ever After Reverse Harem.
What a story this is. Misty has such a back story non of which has been displayed in any of the previous books. Her mates suit her perfectly despite how she tries to fight it. Fighting for her right to her life and happiness surrounded by friends and livers is an important step for her she needs the vindication that’s she’s Worthing of both live and happiness. Beautifully written incredibly descriptive I loved every word, sentence, paragraph and chapter of this book. Looking forward to the next instalment of the world of silver springs in the silver skates series.
Poor Gray has one complicated life! She can't even order delivery dinner without having an awkward reunion with an unavailable fling. Her family's pack, which she fled a while back, is in the makings of a war. The one man that should have loved her and taken care of her for the rest of her life rejected her. And she is crushing on her BFF"s brother, a total no-go. Her world is about to get even more shaken up. This was a wonderful read with the backdrop of Silver Springs that I've really come to love, characters that make you want to read into the wee hours and just enough wacky whimsy to keep you laughing as you read.
Packed with action, suspense, and a devil may care attitude, misty -AKA grey- is a book you’ll love, if you adore empowered women. She doesn’t take anyone’s crap, and lives her life how she wants to live it. Well, so she tells herself. Mostly she just wants to forget her past. But when her past comes back to haunt her, and she’s offered everything she thinks she’s always, maybe, wanted and wouldn’t admit, she’s left fighting for her right to be herself. And also fighting for the ones she loves. Which means, she’s got nothing else to lose. I absolutely loved this book, and Grey.
What a roller-coaster, poor Gray had a hard upbringing and has run away from from it all but that means she wants no attachments to any male but a girl still has needs. She struggles with wanting to stay with her new found friends who are more like her pack. to running to save her brother from the pack that they were born into who wants them dead. The twists and turns in this book are very enjoyable, her mates are exactly what she needs there not perfect but there perfect for her.
This is a standalone story which is based in the shared world of Silver Springs. I've been waiting for Grey's story, to find out why she and her brother moved to town but were still hesitant to lay permanent roots. Grey has been actively avoiding relationships since she was abandoned by her childhood mate when she escaped her cruel pack. When she wears the spelled skates and finds out she has three mates, she wants to run again. Grey was a refreshing character, she did what she wanted and wasn't worried about their opinions. I loved how her friends stood beside her when she needed them.
I had been waiting and wanting this story for so long! I was drawn to the character of Gray who has popped up in several silver springs books giving us little teasers to her character. Silver Skates as an overall series has really pulled out the stops with strange and unusual mates and this is no exception to that. While I won't say what Cillian is (no spoilers from me!) I was yet again amazed at the imagination and genius of weaving an unbelievable being into a story and making it work! This was a steamy, action packed, emotional read and I loved every minute of it!
Misty, aka Gray, is a wolf shifter. She and her brother Milo have been in Silver Springs for three years. She's a no commitment tattoo artist that has caught the eye of some extremely different men. Gunnar from her past, her best friends brother, James, and a funeral director that is as unique a "shifter" as I have ever read about.
Her entire life changes when she goes skating...who knew? 😉 But her past is about to catch up with her. A funny and absorbing addition to the Silver Skates world.
This is book 12 in the Silver Skates multi author series and another wonderful addition to the series that is full of great characters, laugh out loud moments and of course happily ever afters in a weird and fun way. Captivating from the start, we have Misty - aka Gray who's been hurt in the past and dates the guys she knows won't want more but there are a couple of guys who come into her life who need to prove not all guys are going to hurt her...will they be able to prove that she can have her HEA?!?
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
I have been wanting to know about Misty aka Gray for quite some time. Her small cameos in the other books were very intriguing so I was definitely wanting to get to know her story! I was not disappointed! Misty seems to be attracted to jerks and emotionally immature boys. Of course the spelled skates did their job and connected her to her best friends brother, an old flame and a funeral director with an interesting secret. Will Misty find the love she deserves in her three mates or will her past come back to haunt her and tear them apart? Awesome job Tabitha! 😄
Another great addition to the series! I have been waiting for this book after seeing hints of her throughout the other books. Gray is an interesting character with an intersting back story. Fed up of running from her past, Gray and her brother settle in silver springs till the mate bond snaps into place and her fight or flight kicks in. What will Gray do? Brilliant read cannot wait for the next.
Reinventing yourself takes on a whole new meaning when you and your brother run from a family that's literally a pack of assassins and you become a successful tattoo artist. Life starts to settle, you find loving mates and wham, your ex, who you knew was a mate from your earliest years, shows up with a dead-or-alive order for one of your current mates. Choices are awful and the odds that everyone gets out of this alive and without lasting damage are really slim. There has to be a way though.
This book...Wow!! I had been wait for this one for a while and let me tell you that it was so worth the wait. Misty,(AKA Gray) is quite the flawed character with an intriguing past. I enjoyed seeing her transformation with the add it action, suspense, and of course the steamy romance made for a helluva read. Overall a great read. Now I can't wait for Charlie's book. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
