Land of Legends #2

If the Wand Sparkles

Rate this book
Once upon a time usually ends in happily ever after, right? For us, it’s a little too early to tell.

The ogre is suddenly a ray of sunshine, the troll can’t keep his hands off me, and the kitty dragon has secrets. Duck my life. Yeah, that’s not a typo.

With my villainous uncle on the hunt for us, I don’t have time to play the role of princess, dagnabbit. The unicorn and the mermaid dignitaries will just have to take a flipping rain check. And don’t even get me started on the wannabe Prince Charmings and their noble steeds, they can frack right off. I’ve already experienced true love’s first kiss and look where that got me.

Time is running out. We’ve got to come up with a plan to stop the king, before he figures out a way to get rid of us...for good this time.

If The Wand Sparkles is novella two in a medium-burn, quirky menage trilogy. It’s full of insta-love, sarcasm, and troll dick. It started out as a writing prompt but turned into a tale even the author herself wasn’t prepared for. Guaranteed HEA by the last installment.

Slightly less awesome

I was super impressed by the first book. It was fun and interesting. This book fell short. Nothing happened!

The entire book focused only on three honey people having sex and saying ‘I Love You’ every three seconds. Listen Authors, you need to get some perspective. Love in romance books is awesome, but saying “I love you” like it’s “hello” and ‘
“goodbye” and “harder!”… well, that’s overdoing it. I’m embarrassed for the characters who are saying it so much. Plus, saying “I love you” constantly during sex is off putting.

Still, I’m going to read the next book. Hoping it’s better.

I love this fairytale setting that Sinclair Kelly has weaved. This series keeps getting better and better and it’s just so hilarious.

Breana, Max, and Liam find themselves in fairy tale city. Where everything is rainbows and glitter. Liam has himself a laugh out loud predicament. Max is more sparkles and sunshine than he usually is, and Prince Charming may not be as charming as his name suggests.

That cliffhanger will leave you feeling sad, but hopefully not for long...at least just until book 3 comes out. I highly recommend this series if you need a good laugh.

I honestly couldn't wait for this one to come out, the first book was spectacular and this one was even more brilliant.
I love the fairy-prince version of Max he honestly had me in hysterics throughout and OMG especially when Poor Liam and Bre wanted some fun and it all FTB.
I love how this book picks up straight after the end of ITBF
Bre is still my favorite I love how she is doing all she can to take down her walls and trust these guys and is willing to give love a chance and I REALLY love her reaction to the non-swearing ability.
The plot in this just keeps growing and is developing in such a natural way that it makes the book flow seamlessly

This is the second book in this series, and you have to read the first or this won’t make any sense.

Brenna, Max and Liam are getting more and more involved in this crazy new world that they are the heirs to. They are all from broken pasts due to being spirited away “topside” in an effort to survive the upheaval. The royal families were lost and they are the last of them. They are in Fairy Tale city, which is all sparkles and rainbows, and the land where Liam has lost his penis. No, really! That glorious 9 inch penis...is gone. Regardless the show much go on, even as Max has lost who he is due to having lost his connection with Brenna. He messed up, and I was mad at him...but he will surprise and redeem himself in this book I promise. Brenna will shine with her powers, and the boys and she will get closer. The only problem is that there’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing...an infiltrator that wants to hurt Brenna and make sure that the heirs don’t survive their birthright. Get ready for a ride y’all! This book is snarky, full of emotion, and you’ll learn more of what makes these characters tick.

I really enjoyed this series and the different takes on fairytales. So far this is a light, short read and is a great mini series to enjoy.

I really enjoy where this book is headed and getting to know all of the different kingdoms. While Fairytale City, we see a different side of Max due to the magic and i can't help but enjoy the new side of him. Liam has a serious predicament that is just laugh out loud funny ( no, seriously). Brenna finally is able to see just how much she was loved and how much her parents wanted her in the end. Fairytale City is where we see the most healing between the characters as well as we get to see more depth and connections between Brenna, Max and Liam. As in all stories though we do have a spy that has infiltrated their midst and I really enjoyed watching it play out. I will say though that he was suspected and makes me question why Brenna would just follow blindly.

So far its a great quirky, funny and light read. I can't wait to find out what happens in book 3.

I was so glad to get back into Brenna, Max, and Liam's story! Sinclair really does an amazing job with her quirky and witty characters and these three are some of my favorites. Like the first book in this series, there are tons of hilarious scenes in this book that will have you cracking up and wondering what will be thrust upon these characters next. Missing appendages, auto-censoring swear words, and plenty of jokes are just the tip of the iceberg in this amazing book. Despite these books being on the shorter side, they still pack a punch and have all those gut wrenching moments happening along with the sappy ones too. The plot flows so well and never feels like it is being rushed. There's a point to everything and Sinclair manages to get all of the necessary details and storyline shoved into this book without it feeling like it is neither too much nor not enough. I adore this series and can't wait to see what this group has in store for them next! One villain conquered, a fair maiden awoken, and a loopy Max back from la la land. We are on the right track now!

If The Wand Sparkles by Sinclair Kelly

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have been waiting so long for this.

Or at least feels that way as been dying for it since the first installment. Author certainly hasn't let's me down I still had myself enjoying every second of it. Well until the end as now I need to wait again.

I love the characters and having them in Fairytale city and not able to swear out loud had me laughing at the creative word choices. Get to see bit more about them all as well as finding them working through some of their difficulties.

Prince Charming is a great addition to have the guys show their jealous and possessive sides.

I definitely recommend to those who enjoy MFM romances with a Paranormal twist. I will wait (probably impatiently) for the next and final novel of the series. I can't wait to see what comes next.

This was the absolute BEST follow up possible to “If the Broom Fits” and I loved every moment of it!! Sinclair Kelly details everything so extraordinarily well that you feel as though you’re right there with Brenna, Liam, and Max experiencing it all first hand.

Needless to say, there was riveting drama from a missing body part to a certain prince maybe not being so “charming” and an ending that will have you dying for the next book. Sprinkle in some heart-melting moments from Max and Liam, stir in some steamy sexiness, add in a Kitty Corn and top it all off with a fudge ton of laughter and giggles and you got yourself the PERFECT afternoon read!!!

Absolutely loved this book, it was even better than the first! Definitely correct in saying a quirky paranormal story, their were multiple times where I laughed out loud. It's a good quick read which makes you wish it was longer.
The book starts off where the last one finished, Brenna, Liam and Max have arrived at Fairytale City. Where they have just found out that they are royals. It carries on with them still figuring out their new selves and their magic as well as their relationship with each other. It does end on a cliffhanger though therefore I can't wait to see what happens next.
Overall a really good series and I am looking forward to reading the next.

Sinclair always has me dying from laughing throughout her books. Max is still my main man from If the Broom Fits, but the drama of Liam missing certain very vital parts brought out some love for the troll. Brenna, Max and Liam are a breath of fresh air in the fairy tale world where our Prince Charming......isn't quite the charming babe we remember.

If the Wand Sparkles is fast paced and will suck you in and spit you back out on the cliffhanger before you know what hit you, leaving you dying for more. I loved it from the first sentence down to the last, and I can't wait to see where our Ogre, Troll, and Witch end up in the next book

Another great book by Sinclair Kelly! Like the first one in the series, If the Wand Sparkles is unique and hilarious. It took the whole fairy tail thing to another level in a land where you can't cuss, ogres are all sparkly and sex becomes PG13 with those fade to black scenes where it literally fades to black (don't worry, there is still plenty of sexy time). We follow the same trio of characters from the first book and their adventures are still going strong while their relationship is trying to do the same.
Don't fear its novella size, the story progresses well and you still have all the details ;)
I will definitely be reading book 3!

I was extremely excited to be back in Brenna, Liam and Max’s fairytale world. This book picks up right where “If the broom fits” ends and it’s an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. While this series in its whole is meant to make you laugh it also brings other emotions to the forefront that makes you bond even more with the characters. Each character had their hardships growing up which leaves them each with hang-ups in coming to terms with the life they have been thrust in to. Some of them take it in stride while others fight against the plan laid out for them. I love this world and can’t wait to see where the characters end up next.

This story just continues to get better and better! The humor is out of this world, I literally had tears of laughter streaming down my face in points. I just love the characters and fairytale world that Sinclair Kelly has so fabulously created! It plays off so many of the fairy tales and creatures we grew up hearing in stories as kids and ramps them up tenfold with crass and hilarious humor, sexy times, and a bit of darkness lurking in the corner.

Absolutely loved it from beginning to end and desperately didn’t want it to end. I am anxiously awaiting book 3!

It’s not often I laugh my way through a book, but that’s what I continue to do with this series. The Troll, the Ogre and the Witch are SO MUCH more (or maybe less lol) now that they’ve landed themselves in the castle after traveling through Fairy Tale City. Secrets are revealed as the land’s magic can’t help but be attracted to them. Not everyone is a friend though. If they want to keep their triad safe, they need to stay on guard... Come for the story, but stay for the laughs and love between this unconventional threesome!

I absolutely love this book!!! Max, Liam and Brenna make up a perfect manage and the relationship growth between these three is magical. The story is so sweet, spicy, hysterical ,and has so many twists that you can't predict what is going to happen next. The magical word that Sinclair Kelly has created has a unique twist on the traditional fairy tales. This book ends on a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting for the last book in this trilogy. If you're looking for something short and sweet to read this book will not disappoint!

If The Wand Sparkles was a brilliant follow up to If The Broom Fits.
Liam, Max and Brenna are wonderful characters and easily loved by me. Mila, omg, I want my own, I won't spoil the surprise, but gee! I want my own so badly!
What I really liked was how the author had fun writing this book, I say this because the humour was off the charts and surely she laughed manically as she wrote with joy oozing out of her pores!
I just loved how I could escape reality and get swept away by this story. The only negative was it ended too soon. I just loved this book.
I can't wait for book 3 😍🥰😘

This book was hysterical. I love Max, Liam, and Brenna. Prince Charming can go suck a duck. The three heirs continue on their quest to save the land. This time, they are at Brenna’s family’s castle. The castle and the land sure did love to play their games on the unsuspecting trio. My only downside to this book was the cliffhanger. Really of all places, it just had to be there. Hopefully, the next book comes out quickly, so we can see how the cliffhanger is resolved. (This is where I would say “Curse you Perry the Platypus” to the author.) Oh well, time to wait for the next book.

Learning their history

Something about this series I just love. I tend to be a harder sale on the fairytale type of books but the three main characters make this book a win for me.

There are so many different elements in this book that will keep you interested. I loved seeing the evolution of their relationship in this book as well as them learning more about their history. With a background like there's it's good to see them find their happily ever after....or rather happy for now due to those pesky people who don't want them to complete their destiny

Well fluff! I can't flipping wait for the next dang book in this amazing series. From the very beginning of this mystical and magical adventure, I've been hooked on the tale of Brenna, Max, and Liam as they were thrust into a new reality, searching for the evidence of their birthright, and a way to explain the connection they all feel with the land and each other. Everyone loves a good fairy tale and the handsome and dashing Prince Charming, but not everything that glitters is rainbows, butterflies, and kitty dragon unicorns.

Just another case of not know how to slowly read a book so I’m not left waiting with a cliffy.
This story just sucked me right in and with each chapter is gets better. I love being able to flow along with Max, Liam and Brenna’s relationship and as soon as I’m done with book I’m ready to dive into the next one right after just to see where they end up. No idea how Sin is going to top this book though

Ughhh I freaking LOVE Sinclair Kelly I have read all of her books, and once this comes out on paper back will own this as well, I am so glad that Max finally got his head out of his butt so to speak and told her he loved her! And the opening of this story totally hilarious! Liam and his lack of you know and the not being able to curse was funny, the cliffhanger though! Ugh she does love her cliffhangers! Can’t wait for book three

This series never fails to make me laugh out loud. While this book certainly does not lack humor, it also has serious moments where you see the characters vulnerabilities and watch them grow into their roles. I love Max's personality switch in the beginning of the book, it made me laugh hysterically. I can't wait to see what happens next with the trio and how they handle the responsibility of their new roles.

It has been a while that I found myself laughing at a book the whole way through. This series is unlike any other fairytale retelling I have read! The “bad” guys are swoon worthy and the Prince Charming may be “evil” instead of good. I loved the predicament Liam found himself in and all of the magic throughout the book, I can’t wait to see where book three picks up! That’s cliffhanger is going to kill me!

Excellent second book in the series. Action packed and full of suspense and intrigue. Steamy and yet romantic. The world building continues to be superior as well as the character development. I just love the trio of heroes. Fun, smart and scarred. Definitely recommend. Can’t wait to read the next one.

The humor in this book is amazing, so many laughs. I loved the use of a well known part of a fairy tale to let them show their love. I also truly enjoyed when they found what they were looking for in the castle, so sweet. The book had a great mixture of sweet and steamy. I highly recommend this book. I definitely want more, and can not wait for the next book.

Loved it!!!!! Sinclair Kelly has a fantastic series in these books, I love the humour that's woven throughout. I'm glad Max and Brenna sorted out their differences, it's good to see them all on the same page and working together in this book. I love Liams names for Prince Charming!!!! Who turns out to be not so charming.....roll on book three!
