If you are thinking a little core conditioning might be in order, this is a great book to start. It has a section on principals beginners, intermediate and advanced. I then has a section where you can see which exercises fit your job or your activities. Clear pictures and explanations. I got this a few years ago and just re-read it.

This is a great reference for isolating target muscle groups. Point specific for foot/knee/back you name it they have an exercise workout set up for it.
