This was disappointing. The overall message seems to be about self-care and respecting yourself, I was hoping it would have more to do with loving others. I only gave it 3 stars because I liked some of the pictures.

It was cute, but I think I enjoyed it more than Heather did. I'm the one who grew up with all the Disney princesses, after all. We read it once. There is nothing wrong with the book, it just wasn't interesting to Heather at the time we read it.

This book would probably be great as a gift. There's not much in the way of a story, but the pages contain illustrations of princesses and things they do that kids might emulate, like being kind or brave. It's simple and cute. High marks all around.
