As bodies pile up in their small Ohio city, the victims have only one thing in common. Each young woman visited the local women's clinic and chose not to have an abortion. An intriguing young couple faces an impossible decision amidst a pandemic of murders. With their futures in balance, will they have their baby or decide to end the pregnancy. Conventional wisdom goes out the window when a surprising development casts suspicion on the least likely suspects.

Great story focusing on a small town with a serial killer on the run. Murders have taken place and seem to have the common thread of the the town’s abortion clinic. Recommend!
A serial killer is on the loose strangling women who have changed their minds about having an abortion. Then the killer strangled a teenage boy who has a pregnant girlfriend. Madison, recently finding out that she is pregnant, is asked to stand in at an abortion procedure. Horrified at what she see's, she decides to quit her job at the Planned Parenthood Clinic so she can be a stay at home mom. When the killer breaks into her home, kidnaps her, and takes her to the Clinic to perform an unwanted abortion on her, she fights back. This story is creepy due to the subject matter. Highly recommend that everyone read this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I could not put this book down! It was intense and intriguing! The story focuses on a small town's abortion clinic - and several murders possibly connected to the clinic. It brings a different perspective to the abortion industry and a heart-racing storyline that will hold your attention! I suggest that you begin reading it in the morning because you won't be able to sleep until you reach the end.
Note: there are some graphic parts of this book - involving both abortion and murder of adults.
Was not expecting the religious bent to the book. The book isn't a thriller like the usual ones I read. It was a propaganda pamphlet intended to discourage abortion.
Some people are for abortions and some are against it. This book shows both sides.
Madison is happily married to Zane and has 2 children. She finds out she is pregnant again. Madison is working for an abortion clinic. At first, she loved her job, but after seeing some very disturbing things, thought differently about the process.
Ashley is a high school student that had sex with her boyfriend, Terrell, and ended up pregnant. She was torn between having an abortion, or not.
Someone is killing patients that went to this abortion clinic. I had my suspicions about the villain.
There was a sweet friendship made between Madison and Ashley.
This book was easy to read, but parts of the book were disturbing. I am glad that the characters in the book did a lot of soul searching before making any decisions that would affect their futures.
This is a murder mystery. It deals an abortion clinic and not only the people who come in for an abortion but also the workers. Not an easy subject but definitely thought provoking.
Who can mix suspense with a well-infused theme of life for the unborn? Apparently, David L. Winters. Madison and Ashley had me captivated from the very beginning and my favorite character description comes in the form of Madge. Because who wouldn't want a YouTube channel for their hair? It was torturous to read this in tiny snippets due to my busy schedule the past few days because I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. This unique story is also the perfect reminder of how precious life truly is. Anyone with even the slightest grip on reality would admit, without a doubt, that if a baby could choose, they would choose life. I highly recommend this book.
Thought provoking book which I read in one sitting but the editing could have been better--contained a number of silly mistakes which I found annoying.
I was intrigued with this book when I first started it. I don't feel it is for the faint of heart because it deals with murder and abortions. The book centers around three main different characters whose lives are intertwined. The first is Madison, a married woman with two kids and one on the way, who works at an abortion clinic as a counselor. The second is Ashley who is a pregnant teenager. The third is Dr. Heller who is an Ob/Gyn and performs the abortions on Saturday. All three are asked or ask "What would the baby that is aborted choose, to be aborted or live?" To me, there is one part that was really hard to read but that would be dependent if you are pro-choice or pro-life. The book was interesting and touch on a side of that topic I don't hear about much. David did a good job intertwining the three characters, especially near the end.
Interesting story about a small town abortion clinic and a possible serial murderer lurking around. Seems there might be a connection to all those who are getting murdered and the clinic...
I read this in one day. I did found it a little odd that the clinic in this book didn't offer the choice of adoption only abortion. In my opinion the author is neither promoting or discouraging abortion, just writing a story about it.
I requested a copy of this book because the town of Springfield, OH is only about an hour away from where I live. I received a free copy of this book from the author/publisher for an honest review. Won on a Goodreads giveaway.
***First off let me say that if you are triggered by talk of abortion please skip this book. There is a chapter in the book that is very descriptive of the manual abortion process, and it is very hard to read.*** Now onto my review: Christian fiction about a topic that's still very controversial even in the christian ranks. This story also has a thriller/mystery vibe to it. People are being discovered having been murdered in this very small town where no crime exists...or so the people think. You follow the lives of a teenaged pregnant girl and her boyfriend, an employee at the Planned Parenthood Clinic as well as the Dr who performs the abortions.
Interesting yet I cannot identify this as an enjoyable book for me. Storyline focuses on what is a sensitive and controversial subject for many and includes some graphic details as well as Christian views. The read itself moved quickly, this just may not be a book for everyone. 3 stars
My thanks to goodreads and the book’s giveaway sponsors for the opportunity to obtain and read a copy of this book.
Of course the subject matter made this a not so fun read, but the book was well written, easy to follow, made sense. With the lack of committed Christian characters and the number of view point characters, I struggled with who to expect to succeed. The mystery wasn't a mystery so much as it was suspense ... and there was a good bit of suspense. I read it for book club and I'll enjoy talking about it.
A serial killer is in an Ohio small town killing women. What do they women have in common? They all decided to cancel their abortion. The ending left me with a question. I can't say what it is bc I would ruin the book. That question dropped the book a star. Warning: Graphic Abortion Info
Thanks to Goodreads and David Winters for the E-book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Unique setting for a Christian Fiction suspense book; The book takes place in an abortion Clinic. It really caused me as a Christian to take a closer look at how awful an abortion is. This book caused me to do some deep thinking. This was one of the books I've read that will leave a lasting impression.
Great work that melds two very controversial topics. I did guess who the murderer was but there was enough word play to make me second guess at times. It's shorter than most reads and therefore went a little quickly but was definitely a page turner!
I'm not sure why I read this book. It wasn't bad, it was nicely written, but it's not a topic that I would say - hey, I want to read a book about abortion. The book clearly depicts both sides of the coin but heavily leans pro-life with a Christian spin to it. The story is unique in the fact that there is a string of murders and what ties them together is the decision to not go through with having an abortion. There are several characters that are followed throughout the book that eventually intertwine. I am left with mixed emotions on this book, maybe because it is a delicate subject or maybe because a man wrote the it, I don't know, but it is one that I will be thinking about for a bit.
I will not even address the concept of the book, but overall I felt that the suspense part was a bit cheesy, with a serial killer on the loose. I felt that all this book did was play on cliches and make religious people look overly simplistic in their goals, while playing themselves off to be good guys. I only read it because I had to lead a discussion on it, and while some people might enjoy the premise, I felt it was not one I would ever recommend.
