Our bodies and minds are covered in the scars of our experiences some painful, others funny or perhaps joyous memories. This book is a collection of scars some still healing, others fading, some mine, some not but each marred page is a beautiful disaster of what makes us human. Heartbreak, loss, love, family and more in between each page; a book to knit the scars together into something a little more lovely. Perhaps, this will help heal some of your scars as well. With love, Erin Michelle
There are good poems in these collections. However, a lot of the poems have the same theme and it was redundant. I also don’t understand why at the EVERY end of the poem, the author’s name was written. It also slightly bothered me when they didn’t edit “then” to THAN. It’s a decent collection and doesn’t write like Gabbie Hanna’s poem so read it if you have KU.
Definitely worth the read, but keep in mind it is not the same as the lighthearted poetry you may have grown to love. The emotion is raw, and you can feel it all throughout you.
