This is a short children’s book told from the perspective of an N95 mask. The story explains what the mask does and briefly explains the pandemic in a digestible way for young readers… but the N95 mask in this story never gets used and it seems like it was written during the N95 shortages? Every time someone almost puts the N95 on they opt for a disposable mask, so I’m not sure what exactly this book is trying to teach young readers. Maybe it was a great resource during the beginning of the pandemic but I don’t think a young reader would take anything from this book except to save their N95s and never use them lol.

I checked this one out because it looked so utterly unusual. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this little book. The illustrations are very good, and the story distills a potentially scary and overwhelming subject (COVID-19) into a smaller story about a sentient mask that's more digestible for kids.
