Dr. Charles F. Stanley is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Atlanta, founder of In Touch Ministries, and a New York Times best-selling author who has written more than fifty books, and has sold more than nine million copies. He demonstrates a keen awareness of people's needs and provides Christ-centered, biblically-based principles for everyday life.

Charles Frazier Stanley was born September 25, 1932, in the small town of Dry Fork, Virginia. The only child of Charley and Rebecca Stanley, Charles came into the world during a time when the entire nation felt the grip of the Great Depression. To make matters worse, just nine months later, his father Charley died at the young age of 29.

However, Charles refused to let the Great Depression or the difficulties of his life define him. Instead, like his father and grandfather before him, he clung to God’s Word and took up the mantle to preach the gospel to whoever would listen.

Dr. Stanley’s motivation is best represented by the truth found in Acts 20:24, “Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love.” This is because, as he says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”

Dr. Stanley’s teachings can be heard weekly at First Baptist Church Atlanta, daily on “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” radio and television broadcasts on more than 2,800 stations around the world, on the Internet at intouch.org, through the In Touch Messenger, and in the monthly, award-winning In Touch magazine.

Another great read from Dr. Charles Stanley. I grew up listening to his sermons on TV every Sunday; his ministry has strengthened and encouraged me on my faith journey for years. I look forward to reading more of his books and continuing to learn more about God.

A Timely Book

Charles Stanley wrote this book at just the right time. During a pandemic one wonders if God can still be trusted. Stanley’s main premise, that God is all powerful and He is the one with the answers, leads us to trust in Him. The one part I disagreed with is where Stanley writes about what the unforgivable sin is. He mentions unbelief. However, according to David Jeremiah and other biblical scholars, the unforgivable sin is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. It’s in Jeremiah’s book 10 Questions Christians Are Asking. Otherwise, this book is well written and good spiritual food for any Christian who might doubt that they can trust God in these unprecedented times.

Charles Stanley has my best interest(s) @ ❤️.
You will be soon to realize this is a fallen world you live in and, we need @ least someone to trust; who knows you best -The Lord. He can and, will bring you every good gift in His power to satisfy. "I die daily" St. Paul said these very words in an epistle, N.T.
We grow and let go of thoughts of all kinds they die, yes the good God has pruned you that you may bear more fruit in this life into life everlasting. One issue I am aiming at is that one must "Trust" God before any good thing(s) happen !
Charles shows the way .......

Can You Still Trust God? is a wonderful book. My copy was gifted to me, and I am so glad! Dr. Stanley was my pastor for 30 years, and it was wonderful to read this book after his passing into heaven.

Can You Still Trust God? was written in the height of the pandemic of 2020. In context of the pandemic the book addresses scripture to overcome fear and anxiety. It also addresses how God has a specific plan for each one of His children. Written clearly and concisely, Dr. Stanley is always easy to understand. This is a wonderful book for anyone!

God Breathed

This is the 2nd book of Dr. Stanley’s that I have read that has guided me through a life crisis. This particular book was read in phases as God directed over about 4 months. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is the first book I ever read by Dr Stanley. It was so good. I will read it again. My sister got the same book but she hasn't been able to read very much of it because of being in the hospital. I pray for her and I do trust God to heal her. She will get better! Amen.
