“I want to teach you all the things your body—and mine—can do.”

Grayson

I can’t keep my eyes off the new intern at the movie studio. Skye is only twenty. A shy little mouse hiding behind oversized glasses, her ponytail bouncing as she wreaks havoc on the set. Knocking over props. Disrupting my big scene when her phone rings. When she’s around, things go wrong.

So why can’t I stop thinking about her? Maybe because unlike most women I know, she’s honest. Sincere. Real. And unbelievably beautiful.

Naturally, it’s not that simple. Skye’s nearly two decades younger than me, and she’s my best friend’s daughter. She couldn’t possibly be more off limits.

Of course, I’ve never been the type to play by the rules.

Skye
Grayson James is one of the biggest movie stars on the planet. He has it all—a ripped body, gorgeous green eyes, and a crooked grin that makes panties disintegrate. He could have anyone, yet he keeps talking to me. I just don’t understand it.

We couldn’t ever be together, right? Him the leading man and me an assistant, barely trusted to fetch his coffee. I can just see the tabloid headline: The A-Lister and the Intern. The paparazzi would have a field day, but he doesn’t seem to care. He’s almost got me convinced he’s serious about us.

At least until I overhear him talking to his agent...

Note: This novella was previously titled Falling for the Star.

** This standalone steamy story has a happy-ever-after ending, no cliffhangers, and no cheating. **

Not a great but not a bad read either

I picked this book because I was in a mood for an office romance but that’s not that. I still haven’t read the blurb so it’s probably my fault, but I wasn’t disappointed.

Skye is a twenty years old college student who is an intern at a filming production starring Grayson James, a thirty eight years old Hollywood star. Grayson is friends with Skye’s father and that’s why she got the internship. Skye always had a crush on Grayson and now she gets to see him and be around him. Grayson likes her innocence (she’s not a virgin but not that experienced either), how she blushes when he gets close to her and that’s why she caught his interest.

I didn’t feel their chemistry, I thought that Skye was just excited that she met her hot Hollywood crush and got to spend time with him, and I can’t say that this book stirred any emotions or that I couldn’t put it down but it was an okay read if you don’t mind the age gap (which I didn’t, mostly because it was a short story so they didn’t discuss about it that much). I felt kind of uncomfortable when he kidnapped her (because that’s what it felt to me) but I liked the ending.

I’m not sure if I’ll finish the series because overall it was an okay read that I’ll probably forget next week. 3 ⭐

4 " Love this star" Stars!! Me likie this one. Grayson was funny ,sexy, and such a movie star.. Keeping the whole nobody needs to know we are together was so Hollywood .. Loved It! " If you were smart, Skye, you`d stay away from me. That much is true." " And if I weren`t smart? " My voice came out a whisper. " Then we`d have to be very careful. Extremely careful that absolutely no one finds out. I don`t want to be smart, either. But I also don`t want to fuck up your future just because I can`t stop thinking about you. " I liked Grayson ALOT!! And PT ( Pony tail ) was cute too!! :)

This is the story of Skye and Grayson. It is written in duel narration and is 20 chapters long. It is about a young intern and a hot alpha male movie star. What I liked about this story is that it was a bit different than others and the characters really worked to be together. Syke is young, 20, and she is unsure about her future, she took this internship (with the help of her father) to help her decide what she might want to study on college. Grayson is older, and her father’s frat brother from college. He finds himself attracted to Skye but does not want to attract the media and negative comments into her life. She is so young that he wants to save her from those bad things if she did not decide on them for herself. The interaction between the two characters was great and the story is filled with fun scenes that make the reader excited to read the rest. This is a fact paced story and one you cannot put down. I loved Grayson’s nickname for Skye: Ponytail or PT. It showed is attraction and feelings for her. The issue with Skye’s father could have been left of the story for me as there was so little of it that it really did not add anything. I loved the beginning of the story with Skye having a hard time finding her place on the movie set as she was “clumsy.” It was an endearing trait for her. This is another sweet story by Mia Madison. I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Age romance with quite the age gap. Like 18 years. Which I had zero problems with. Seriously, I adored it and eagerly devoured this quick read. Madison, you are quite the storyteller and keep me coming back for each of your books. 5 Stars!

I didn’t love this book but I didn’t hate it either. I liked Skye, her clumsiness was hilariously cute. Grayson on the other hand, I didn’t like him much. Twice he hurt Skye, and twice I was annoyed by him. He was overheard saying that he didn’t love Skye, yet a few days later he is professing his love to her. I wanted him to make his damn mind up.
I found myself slightly bored in parts and the only reason I carried on reading was for Skye, I liked her.
Although I will admit that I liked the epilogue. The epilogue was my favourite part of the story.
This book a love story between Skye and Grayson. It is funny in parts and makes you want to kick Grayson. Although it will most likely be enjoyable to other readers, It just didn’t click with me. – I don’t know if that’s because I am getting sick and have low concentration or not. Because of that, I will re read this story again at some point soon and update my review, if my mind has been changed.
The storyline is easy to follow and a nice read. Although it wasn’t my favourite, it won’t stop me reading Mia’s next release.

Skye has fancied Hollywood actor Grayson for years. Although he is an old friend of her fathers, she has never met him before. When her father asks Grayson to get her an internship he agrees. Skye soon finds herself on the set of Grayson’s new movie. But with her clumsiness, she finds herself in several different roles. Grayson wants the pretty young woman as soon as he see’s her. When he realises that she is his friend’s daughter, he tries his hardest to resist. But everyone knows what Grayson wants Grayson gets! But with a conniving lead actress and the press on her tail, will Skye get her man. After hurting Skye twice already, will Grayson get Skye? The woman he’s come to love?

The Skye’s the limit
This is the first book in a new series, and is about Skye and Grayson. We meet her on the first day of her summer internship at a movie studio. She’s a bit clumsy and flighty, but it could be nerves too. Skye isn’t as free-spirited and carefree as her name suggests. Her klutzy nature causes her to be moved through four departments until she finds one she’s very good in.
Grayson is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, and has been the man of her dreams for as long as she could remember. He’s also her dad Derrick’s friend and college fraternity brother, which is how she managed to get the internship. Whilst he’s a bit of a typical movie star in some aspects, he’s also very caring, compassionate and down-to-earth.
They share an instant attraction and connection, but there are so many obstacles in their way, to even remotely consider pursuing anything. But sometimes you’re placed in situations where not acting upon attraction and chemistry is near impossible. And the ramifications from that can be damaging.
Their story is sweet, steamy and fun. It’s instalove at its finest, with some expected dramas and complications. Despite the age difference they complement each other well. And I ADORED his nickname for her – PT, Ponytail. I just wish it didn’t have to end. The intern and movie star combo was a winner in my eyes. I give this book four and a half stars.

5 STARS for Starstruck by my Boss

ARC received from Booksprout and author in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way.

What a great read - loved it for a number of reasons :

Attractive cover and book blurb would have a reader wanting to one click
Age gap romance ( 19 yrs ) hot established Hollywood actor and a young intern on set
Read in one sitting - storyline and plot kept my attention thru out
Cute nicknames - PT = Pony Tail
LOL humor
HEA with a ❤️ Proposal

This is the story of Grayson and Skye - she is the daughter of his best friend. Grayson secures an intern job on his latest movie for Skye. He is attracted to her immediately but knows she is far to young and should be WAY OFF limits. Skye is your girl next door - someone who doesn’t see her natural beauty and who has always been made fun of for being somewhat of a nerd. Grayson is doing his best to avoid her on set.

There is a pull and push for these characters - mostly with Grayson pushing Skye away until he realizes that she is genuinely “real” not like the starlets who just want his money , attention or fame by being scene with him. They start a relationship but keep things on the down low until they are outed by the paparazzi.

This book was entertaining and a quick read - with one of the best proposal scenes I’ve read - LOVED IT !!

Thank you Booksprout for introducing me to this new author !!

I’m a walking chaos tripping, knocking things over totally embarrassing but my boss older then me my dads best friend does things to my body by just looking at me. I can’t seem to do anything right when he’s around nerves are a wreck I can’t think straight or do anything without making a mess. She drives me crazy...knocking the sets over at the movie Studio tripping she’s chaos on legs that go on for days. Curves in all the right places beautiful eyes hidden behind big glasses. This girl is totally off limits she’s to young for me plus she’s my best friends daughter. Some times you have to go with your instincts and not by the rules even those can be broken. I can’t stop thinking about her. I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading

Mia Madison does it again with her stories on older man/younger woman romances & this one is no exception. Grayson is the older man who happens to be a movie star & Skye is the new intern on the set but also the daughter of one of Grayson's good friend from school. She has been smitten by Grayson for a long time now, having a crush on him since he is a sexy movie star but when he notices her he is attracted to her, seeing her beauty behind the glasses & ponytail. When a vengeful co star sets them up & they become paparazzi news Grayson goes to great lengths to protect Skye but she doesn't see it that way & decides to leave town. Will he get to her in time? Will he convince her that she's the one? You'll just have to read and find out. A great read!

not as promising as the premise
by Aries.Pisces

Starstruck by my Boss is the first book that I have read by Mia Madison .While I wasn't overly impressed with the lead characters (female lead so overly naïve that she is almost childlike, male lead surprisingly immature for someone of his age and experience), the lack of character development (when did childish infatuation and lust turn to love? Why is there nothing to suggest that this childish girl can handle being in a relationship with this more experienced man or that he has the sensitivity to deal with this much younger than her age girl?), or the really silly "conflict" in the story, I was impressed with the author's writing style. I would certainly give her works another try.

So... was part of my book missing?
I'm going to be honest, I loved the story idea, and the beginning chapters. I thought it set the book up for a really steamy, great romance, and I couldn't put it down.
But then... the author just kind of dropped the ball.
Skye falls for the star in 0.2 seconds - which is reasonable, I can totally see that - but he pulls back one second, then says those magic words literally the next chapter. There was no character development, they just jumped into conclusions and bim-bam-boom this and that happened (I don't want to spoil) and the book was over.
It honestly felt like I was missing chapters in between, and definitely at the end.

This book is sweet and silly, steamy and all kinds of forbidden. It goes from zero to one hundred in a split second, but I think that was actually part of the fun for me. I loved Skye in all of her nerd-girl glory. I connected with her deeply in her clumsiness and social awkwardness. Grayson can be a prime jerk. He knows it. He accepts it. He can apologize for it when called on it. I think what I liked best about him was that the things he appreciated most in Skye were the things she thought were her biggest faults. I had a lot of fun watching this pair try to figure out their relationship with all the extra challenges they faced. And I thought the ending was almost too sweet for words.

This is the story about Skye and Grayson, told in the dual, first person point of view, which is always a deal breaker for me. Skye is an intern and a little clumpsy sometimes, but it was adorable and not annoying. Plus it was sweet how starstruck she really was while being close to Grayson.
Skye's point of views are told with the name of the day everything is happening, sadly this isn't the case with Grayson so sometimes it's a little confusing, for example when you finish Skye's Friday and than Grayson's POV starts and you realized because he tells you that it's actually Monday.

Skye has got an internship at a movie studio because her father is friends with a big movie star called Grayson. She has had a crush on Grayson for years and she is twenty now. She is also very accident prone, walking into things, knocking things over etc. She is being sent from one section of the movie to another as none of them work out for her. Until she gets to a section where her photographic memory comes in handy. Grayson finds her intriguing and then finds out she is the daughter of his best friend from college. That puts a bit of a spin on things and he trys to keep away from her, but the pull is too strong. Even though he is twenty years older than her. Great story.

The ages in this book confused me….. the MC (Grayson) was friends with the FC’s (Skye) father in college….. then I’m assuming after graduation he got married and had child but the age difference is 18 years…..it seems like the men are the same age, it doesnt say otherwise and so her dad was 18 when she was born? For some reason im fixated on that lol doesnt make sense since the Grayson reveals in thought how they would both get the girls in college but after college her father got married and had Skye……soooo shouldn’t Grayson be at the very least 40-42??? Anyway, its pretty good lol

This is the story of Grayson and Sky. Grayson the bestr friend of Sky's father and a couple decades older, but he cannot stop thinking about her. Grayson is a Hollywood star, and she is an intern and a clumsy one at that. The characters were lovable and the story line is great. I laughed and enjoyed the book. I loved this story. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants a quick sweet read.

So good I read the last few chapters over & over again

The intern and the movie star. Love it. Skye & Grayson road to their HEA didn’t come without lots of bumps. Grayson is not only her Dad’s best friend. He’s also not planning for a relationship. Skye has crushed on Grayson for a long time then she gets to know more of the man and it’s over for her. Too bad nothing is easy, especially in Hollywood. Highly recommend.

The story was readable, I wasn't sure with my views on grayson the way he, treated skye she is, a, bit of a, klutz, but a favour to his friend he gives skye a job, so regarding the story it was ok but I'm still 50/50 regarding the characters

I wanted to be starstruck by Grayson but he did grate on my nerves at times. I loved Skye and her quirkiness and realness. She was funny and so relatable that I found myself smiling. They have great chemistry but for an older man, he seemed immature at times. For some reason it worked though. I enjoyed this.

Interesting story

This was an interesting story, I do not think this is plausible in the real world. I find it difficult to believe that a father would let us daughter marry a frat boy friend from his college years.
