So Far, So Good #3

So Wrong, It's Wright

Rate this book
An infuriatingly irresistible love story.

Michelle Anders is done with love. Done with the involuntary heart palpitations and suffocating in breathless moments. Done crying over a man who doesn’t deserve her. She’s determined to become a strong, independent woman, starting with focusing on what really matters. Herself.

The solitary week of relaxation she planned at a friend’s remote lake house turns unbearable when the man who broke her heart stumbles in on her. While she’s stark naked in the bathtub. With his pants around his ankles!

Drew Wright may be the NFL’s newest darling, but to Michelle the jock is nothing but a loud-mouthed, crass, country-boy brute. He doesn’t deserve a second of her time…but the things he can do to her body are irresistible.

When mother nature conspires to keep them locked up together, Michelle needs to figure out where lust ends and love begins.

So Wrong, It's Wright is novella. A NA novella packs woth ridiculous misunderstanding, quicky and insta lust. Not much drama/ angst. It is a good read for a lazy Sunday noon.

I do like Miss Kingston works. She slowly becoming my NA author.

This was a really cute novella full of good angst and steamy scenes. This book is short and sweet but had everything you want from a book and I wish it was a full length novel. Highly recommend if looking for a good book or something short and easy to read!!

This is the third book in the So Far, So Good series. This is Michelle and Drew's story and it's one that you'll love. He broke her heart but he could still set her body on fire. Fate brings them together for a week at a friends lake house and the drama begins. This is a great love story that also sweet. He's a famous NFL star who is loved by everyone but to her he he's arrogant and drives her crazy. There's a fine line between love and hate and love and lust. The characters were likable and really perfect together. This was a fun, short read that can easily be read in one sitting. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This is a fun little novella. A second-chance, enemies-to-lovers romance that is sweet and sexy with a nice amount of emotion.

This is the third book in the So Far, So Good series. The characters in this book are friends with the characters in the first book – the deeply fabulous So, That Got Weird – but this one can easily stand alone.

Michelle is over men. Her heart has been broken too many times, and she’s taking some time for herself to relax and get her head straight. She’s staying at her friend Elizabeth’s lake house for a week, and she’s enjoying her first moments of peace when the last man who broke her heart comes barging in on her in the bathtub.

Drew is newly signed to the NFL and is struggling to get used to the public’s interest in his private life. He needs to get away from it all for a bit, so his buddy, Austin, has arranged for him to stay at Elizabeth’s lake house. The last thing he wants is company – especially with the girl who so callously used him – so he’s furious when he finds her crashing at his remote getaway.

Neither of them wants anything to do with the other, but a brutal summer storm traps them together for a week. And all of that anger doesn’t hide their mad lust for each other.

Princess is a real piece of work, but I would hate-fuck the shit out of that woman.

It’s a messed-up situation, and before their time is up, truths from their past will be revealed, and they will discover that not all is as it seems. But is it just sexual attraction between them? Or can they overcome the mistakes they made and find a way back to each other?

Holding me against his hard body, he kisses me with months of regret, days of longing and hours of desire. He kisses me like I’m precious and protected. Like he loves me.

This is a really cute story. Even in such a short read, Kingston manages to bring the emotion, and I could feel everything between Michelle and Drew – the hurt, the animosity, the feels, and of course their wild chemistry. It’s a sexy yet heartfelt romance, and I really enjoyed watching these two figure themselves out and find their HEA.

3.5 stars.

This novella is the third book in the So Far, So Good series. It is Michele and Drew’s story and I loved it. He broke her heart and is now done with men. All she wants is a nice, quiet relaxing weekend at her friend’s lake house. Due to a mix-up, Drew unexpectedly shows up and of course due to the storm they are stuck there. She hates him for hurting her and he is not her biggest fan either, given what he thinks he knows. But there is one thing that neither one of them can deny and that is the chemistry that they share. Hatred turns to lust which means crossing the line that Michelle did not want to cross. With no choice but to spend time together will they kill each other or end up loving each other?

I loved these two together!! Despite their issues with each other, you could feel the chemistry between them. You could feel that no matter what they told themselves the feelings were there. Just a matter of time before it all came out. It was a quick read that you will love. It is the perfect book to curl up on the couch and read in one night. It was a fun and sexy read where you can just feel the intensity between Michelle and Drew. And the way that Drew gets his girl in the end was perfect! I loved it!!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book.
Michelle and Drew both try to escape their lives but unknowingly end up in the same cabin in the middle of nowhere at the same time. There is a stormnoutside and they have to endure a week together because, as they find out the following day, their only way out is blocked and there is nothing they can do about it but wait for someone to fix it... In a week.
Too bad they hate each other.
He had humiliated her because she had been using him.
Or had she?
When the truth comes out will he be man enough to ask for forgiveness as she deserves? Will she be mature enough to forgive him if he steps up and mans up?
They are adorable, the brute and the princess.
This page turner HEA is totally worth reading and will leave you with a smile on your lips and warmth in your heart.
I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

Once again Michelle has learnt the hard way that her judgment when it comes to men isn’t to be trusted so when she is offered a getaway to escape the situation it seems like the perfect solution until she ends up spending the next week with the man she is trying to escape.

Drew has always known he was destined to play professional football, but he is having trouble distinguishing between those who want to be with him because of him and those who want to be with him because of who he is. When they find themselves forced to spend time with each other will this be their second chance or are they destined for heartbreak once again?

This is a sweet and sexy story about two people who need to not only learn to trust each other but themselves as well.

This was a very quick read, definitely an enemies to lovers romance, in every sense of the words. Michelle and Drew really really went from hate to love. Although in a sense, there had possibly been some love possibly beginning when they’d first begun, Drew’s listening to a guy who he should have known was a liar, as we found out, led to him betraying Michelle in such a way that her anger was totally justified.

But I liked how once things were figured out and there was an apology given that it was one that totally matched up, almost, on the extremes of what had been done in the first place. Throughout the story there was a lot of heat between the too, definitely they still had feelings and attraction to each other, even with what had happened, or because of what had happened. And I enjoyed seeing my favorite couple from the series, Elizabeth and Austin. in this one as well.

This novella is a cute, sexy and steamy with a little bit of angst second chance romance. Michelle and Drew had histories but I don't think it is love because it seemed impossible to love someone in a short time and the author doesn't write more details to convince me that they knew each other long enough before Michelle's ex ruined their relationship. But she still writes the story well enough and makes me enjoy their banters so I decide to give the book 4 stars.

Michelle and Drew's story was hot, spicey and yet sweet. It's an enjoyable easy quick read but no less enjoyable for that. I liked the premise of the plot and I liked the characters who were well-drawn and had such great chemistry. They were perfect for each other but it took something out of their control for them to see it, which fortunately they did in the end.

Meeh... didn't really like the MCs. Story was too short to make it relatable. Don't get why the author thought she had to tell this one. The other books from the series were better.

I REALLY like this author's writing style, but can't say that I'm in love with the way the story revealed itself in this short and steamy novella. Would I have preferred a full-length book with these characters? 100%. My main complaint would be that I feel like a few more scenes were needed to flesh out the story. I've read (and loved) the rest of the series, and even I was like... why do they hate each other? It's intense and steamy and has some great tension, but I would've been significantly more invested in the story if only I understood it better.

Essentially, this novella follows Drew and Michelle as they get stuck at a cabin together. There's a mixup with scheduling and these two former (almost) lovers turned adversaries find themselves sharing a space. Tension crackles between them until it snaps, and these two have to deal with the fallout.

It's a quick, mega-steamy read and does showcase the author's style well. I was intrigued and entertained for much of the story. These two have strong personalities and it's clear that there's more going on than meets the eye. If the opposite of love is indifference, then let's just say that's not the case here. I really would've liked a full-length book with these two, or at least a couple more scenes at the beginning (to explain the dynamic) and at the end (to make it feel less like instalove). But I did like it as a whole. I'd consider this a bonus entry to a stellar series. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy novella.

1 star but gave it 2 because I finished the book but I only finished it because it was short and Teddy Hamilton was one of the readers…I’m in the minority in this but this was truly not interesting..at all. No plot, too much immature angst over a simple misunderstanding and a mean comment that no one would remember the next day…or at least not at a state university. She was super annoying and way ott in her reactions. She hates him but totally thinks about his physique and just wants to f*ck him…not romantic. No reason for them to even become friends much less a couple…and the cheesy end when he becomes a wimp…um no. Nothing to like in this. Won’t be reading the rest of this series.

“Fuck love. That lying, cheating, no-good emotion can shrivel up and die for all I care.”

This is the third installment of the “So Far, So Good” series by Amelia Kingston.
Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to read the previous two, but they’re on my TBR list.

This is Michelle and Andrew (Drew) book and boy are those two feisty.

Michelle is a strong, independent and stubborn woman. Tiny, beautiful and assertive, Michelle has everything going for her. That is if you take love out of the equation!
In desperate need of a time away from everything and everyone before she starts a new phase in her life, Michelle drives to her friend Elizabeth lake house. The place is stunning, quiet and in the middle of nowhere.

Drew is a NFL first draft player that just discovered what game can do... and he’s not over thrilled by it. Drew is big, with muscles worth drooling for, eyes warm like hot chocolate and a stubbornness that will get him into trouble.
In desperate need of a time out, away from all the madness and the media attention, Drew drives to Austin’s girlfriend’s house for a week of peace and quiet... yes you guessed it, Elizabeth is Austin’s girlfriend and let me tell you that peace is about the only thing that won’t exist in that house.

Assumptions, the mother of all f* ups.

Michelle and Drew have a past. A semi last if you will because they started to exist as couple but never truly bloomed, because of gossip and assumptions.

“Keep trying, idiot,” she snips. “You can be such a stubborn ass. Finally put that shit to good use.”

The tension and attraction between the two is of the charts.
The scenes are funny, witty and sparkling with tension and lust and tender and sweet at times.
I just wish we got more of Michelle and Drew. Their story is way too short and could have been more developed.

Arc kindly provided by the author.

Maybe it’s because I don’t remember what happened with these MCs in the 2nd book, but coming off a second listen of So That Got Weird, this book fell very flat for me. The male MC of this book was chill as hell in the first one and he was around for the shenanigans that happened with the antagonistic teammate, so I was confused as hell about why he would have believed anything the guy said after it came out he was a liar and a sleeze. And then to call out the chick you liked in front of other people? I don’t care if she’s a jersey chaser, slut shaming is never okay. Being shamed for being a terrible human, fine. But even if she was a fame chaser, she did nothing wrong, she didn’t try to trap the creep with a pregnancy/fake pregnancy and she didn’t sell his story to the highest bidder. What the hell happened between books 1 and 3 that turned him into an idiot and a dick?

The fem MC did act pretty princess-like at first and I would have never guessed she’d gotten her heart broken based on how high in the air her nose was (because again, can’t remember the 2nd book) so I didn’t really like her much at first. After everything came out, I still didn’t see anything that told me she was an interesting or halfway decent person. There was nothing that expanded on the MC’s personalities and there wasn’t any emotional growth in this book, it was solely about the fight/falling out and sexual making up (the sex was eh).

Thankfully this book was really short, but it seems the magic of the first book is completely gone, which is a real bummer.

I knew I’d most likely love this because I love the way this author writes, it’s enemies to lovers, and it has a forced proximity scenario! Michelle wants a week away, so her friend offers up her lake house far into the woods. Drew wants to get away because he’s just been drafted into the NFL and people won’t leave him alone; luckily, his friend offered his girlfriend’s lake house for some relaxation. Surprise!! It’s the same lake house! And surprise!! Mother Nature is feeling prickly! Sexy times in the making! But, there’s some bad blood between Michelle and Drew, so tension is high between these two. Some intense banter going on! The connection between Michelle and Drew is scorching! Ooo! The passion burns hot for these two! Plus, there’s that touch of sweet too! Both characters were likable, and it was great to get a little more from Austin and Elizabeth from book 1. Michelle is a little overly dramatic; a bit of a brat, but she’s hurt, so some of it is understandable. Drew is a sweetie for the most part; love a sexy athlete with a good heart. It does take too long for them to talk about their issues from the past; some stupidity there, but how it’s handled was great; I could feel the remorse and emotion. Love this series!! Each book has been a 5 star read!! Excited to read more from Amelia Kingston!

Knew that she’d be Mrs. Wright
This enemies-to-lovers romance book is about Michelle and Drew. College is over for Michelle, and while she was hurt and upset, she’s happy to be single and looking forward to spending some time at her friend Elizabeth’s family’s lake house. Drew is a rookie in the upcoming NFL season. The pressures and countless questions are getting to him and he opts for a few days away, to himself, just to unwind. When his teammate Austin, offered up his girlfriend Elizabeth’s family ’s cabin out in the middle of nowhere, he jumped on it.
When he bursts into the house, desperately searching for a bathroom to relieve himself, he finds it alright. And just about to do his business, an ear-piercing scream runs through the room and him. There’s a naked, wet girl in the bathtub. And they know each other. Michelle is furious and Drew laughs obnoxiously continuing with what he went in there for. They cannot believe their mutual bad luck!
They may hate each other but their chemistry is off-the-charts, sizzling HOT! Hating on each other between lustful looks, banter and actions must be exhausting! Read this story and see what happens from here. It’s a fun and entertaining read. I give this book four and a quarter frustrated stars.

I hate myself for wanting him, but I can't control it. My head and my body are not on the same page. I don't think they're even reading the same book.

Drew and Michelle are both trying to hide away for different reasons...her, to escape heartbreak, and him to escape the spotlight from his football career.

Due to some nasty rumors spread by her douche-bag ex, Drew thinks Michelle is a jersey chasing slut. Before all this, he found himself falling for her, but, believing those rumors, he resents her, and casts her aside.

When they accidentally wind up not only at the same cabin, but stranded there by bad weather, there is definite resentment....but also, a whole lotta sparks.

When the truth finally comes to light, Drew decides to apologize in a very epic and public way.

Listen, women are genetically programmed to forgive. It's a biological imperative that we love you stupid jacka$$es even when you don't deserve it.

This was a quick and steamy read that I hated to see end. Grateful for this ARC and am happy to be sharing my honest review.

Michelle just finished college, is done with men, and plans to spend a quiet week at her friend’s family lake house. Drew Wright’s football teammate offered him his girlfriend’s family cabin for the week and due to a storm he and Michelle are stuck there together. Drew and Michelle have a past history and lies her former boyfriend told Drew led him to think of her as a jersey chasing princess while Michelle hates Drew for humiliating her and breaking her heart. They are still attracted to each other and he helps her deal with her past trauma. Will they reconnect after spending time together or will the past keep them apart?

I enjoyed this well written story about a couple who had been driven apart by lies who had to spend time together and deal with their issues. I loved Michelle’s line about it being wrong to want him but it felt so Wright, as a play on his last name. Their fight for dominance was fun to read about and Drew’s actions at the end were great. The epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

Enemies to lovers can be very awkward and uncomfortable but yet again this author has delivered a really enjoyable book with quirky characters that are easy to love and follow. The female lead was highly sympathetic and engaging and genuinely had a right to the anger and hatred shown towards the male lead. The male lead was, quite frankly, a jerk in his historical actions not covered in this book *but* he made up for it with a genuine heartfelt apology and reciprocal action to atone for it.

I really enjoyed the engagement with characters from the first in this series and many of the interactions made me chuckle and/or engage emotionally. The story is dual POV, well written and edited and so good I didn’t want it to end. In fact, my only complaint, just because I was enjoying the character so much, is that this story is much shorter than the first two in the series. That does not mean it isn’t a complete story; I didn’t feel shortchanged in any way. I just wanted more of the characters!

This is the third in the So Far, So Good New Adult series. Michelle Anders has just graduated college and she needs to get away. Her friend Elizabeth (from the first book in the series), let’s her use her Lake house. Of course, unbeknownst to either Elizabeth or Michelle, Elizabeth’s boyfriend let his teammate, Drew Wright, use the cabin as well. Drew has also just graduated and has been drafted by the NFL, so he needs some peace and quite before the craziness begins. Of course, Drew and Michelle have a past, and they currently hate each other. Nature rears its ugly head and they cannot leave the cabin for a week. I liked Drew’s character, but Michelle was a little annoying. I realize they are just out of college, but she seemed a bit immature. This is a short, easy read and can be read as a stand-alone.

Amelia Kingston is a new to me author, and I really loved So Wrong, It's Wright. It would have been perfect had it been a tad longer in my opinion because it's hard to feel the complete weight of an emotional second chance in a short(ish) story. Michelle has had enough of getting her heart broken so she needs to get her head together, which is how she ends up at her friend's remote lake house to just be. However, neither of them knew that friend's boyfriend lent it to a friend of his, Drew, who was the biggest heartbreak for Michelle. Oh and he isn't fond of her either (man think about the time saved if people would just actually communicate.) If that's not bad enough, mother nature gets involved so they're stuck with each other for the time being, and the sparks are flying (that never went away), but will they actually communicate to get past the past?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

*Possible Spoilers* I was excited to get to read the next book in this series, even if it is a novella. I liked both main characters, but they both also were really annoying at the same time. Like how could Drew believe what Monte said when Monte was a proven liar? And there was the reason they hate each other, which gets skirted around until nearly the end. It was so huge and really life changing, in a negative way, for Michelle. But he posts something online and she feels ready to forgive him? She ran a little too hot and cold for me. Drew was constant to an extent, but she was too indecisive for me.
But their chemistry was off the charts! It was refreshing to read about a couple who could be so good for each other without it being sickly sweet. The ending felt rushed, but it was perfect for them. Thanks Amelia Kingston for allowing me to have a copy early!

I really enjoyed reading So Wrong, It's Wright by Amelia Kingston because it was such a great enemies to lovers story about Michelle and Drew. Michelle is spending a week at her friend's cabin to get away from everything. She really needs the break. Drew is also spending the week at the same cabin. Michelle and Drew really liked each other a while ago, but rumors were started and their relationship was kaput. I love the intensity of the characters. They can't seem to stay away and they have no problems calling each other names which is very funny. I love enemies to lovers romance because more often than not, the characters in the stories get together, but it takes a while. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion. I loved reading it and I highly recommend reading this book. It is funny, steamy, and a great read all around.
