Rate this book
No on saw the kidnapping—but her.

Except…there's no evidence the crime ever happened.

Officer Garrett Matthews is assigned to keep the "eyewitness," Amber Scott, out of trouble. Like his colleagues, he doesn't believe her claim. Yet when he notices a mysterious car tailing the beautiful party planner, he starts to suspect Amber's story is true. Soon Garrett finds himself getting dangerously close to the sweet lady who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And protecting her becomes more than just a job—it's now a matter of life and death.

A refreshing short novel with lots of excitement, suspense and lots of spiritual insights. Amber runs a bakery and plans parties. She sees a kidnapping and follows the guilty man but ends up overturning Garrett’s car. Garrett is injured but is put on medical leave as a police officer. He protects her but several horrific events happen. They fall in love. After all the book cover says it is “Love Inspired Suspense!”

Had possibilities but--. Police officer Garrett Matthews has applied for employment with the FBI and is trying to do everything to keep his record perfect when his cruiser is broadsided by a woman who claims she saw a kidnapping and is trying to get close enough to the car to get a license plate number. Because of his injuries he is assigned to keep the "eyewitness" out of trouble while the police look into the kidnapping. Starts well but just piddles around for the rest of the story.
