These books are visually appealing to kids & adults, and I love the book as a memory of national parks my husband and I have visited. The very few words are simple but needed explaining to my three-year-old granddaughter (swampy mangroves, for example -- not familiar to a little landlocked Central Texan).

My main disappointment is that I didn't pay attention to page counts. That's on me. These are board books, but I didn't realize how thick each page was going to be (they are about 1/4" each), so the stories are extremely short. In each book, there are only four, two-page spreads (and only four pages with text and about eleven words, total, in addition to the name of each park).

Am I glad to have them? Yes, for the memories of places visited. But the 3yo was one read and done, so it's probably not worth the price unless I get some more grandchildren and share when they're much younger.

My husband found these on Uncommon Goods and they are absolutely spectacular. Baby was ENTHRALLED and giggled and squealed through each one, grabbing them and playing with them and just plain mesmerized.

Five VERY enthusiastic stars!!
