She was mine to protect, but she was taken from me, and finding her is the only thing keeping me from losing myself.

ALICE

I stopped running when I met Angel.

On my knees, begging for salvation.

Just when my devil needs me the most, I am rendered powerless.

But we will rise once more before our story ends.

Alice is a fucking warrior and i want to be like her.
In the beggining she and Vinny are still hiding from the Midlands cuz somehow they know every spot they hide. Angel has a plan to get Alice back home but the Midlands are there because of the mole and Harvey takes her. He rapes her and people from other families come to beat her and Angel has to watch all of this on the screen.
Then Ben finds her and the Devil takes his Queen back but problems don’t stop there. The mole is still in the Frost family and they don’t know who it is and Harvey has been hiding somewhere.
Then the Midlands kill Ben in front of Alice and Angel does nothing about it because they got Ellie and if they wanted her back he should have left them kill Ben but Alice doesn't know that. Ben leaves her a letter and a USB and she finds one that her father left her too about the Midlands.
She doesn't speak with Frost but then when they finally do someone starts to shoot at their house and Alice is shot in the stomach and Vinny reveals that she's pregnant and has to go to the hospital.
While his Queen is not with him the King is going crazy but ones they're together they find Harvey underground and make a deal and after Angel wins nearly dead he takes Harvey and kill him along with his family without his father.
Angel and Alice both have their happy ending with their twin girls and so does their family and they truly deserved it after everything.
This book was better than the first one and character development was amazing. I just don’t know what to say about Alice because i really want to be like her.
I can't believe that Ben was her brother and the fact that she had to watch him die and he died not knowing that his sister is finally safe makes it even worse.
Elijah Junior. Pain.
THE MOTHER IS THE MOLE. I didn't see that coming i honestly forgot about her existing.
But however this book was definetely not a waist of time and i really liked it and i love the relationship between Angel and Alice. The Devil and his Queen

Um wow, that was an emotional roller coaster that ripped my heart to pieces and didn't give it back until the very end and then the broken pieces were gathered back together, at last. But I wouldn't have had it any other way!

This starts a week after the cliffhanger of the first book and from the moment I read the first chapter I was so absorbed into the story that it was almost impossible to put down. The writing is incredible. It's so vivid that it totally pulled me in as if I was a part of it all.

There's so many twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat the whole book and my heart was beating so damn fast. This definitely isn't an easy book to read as it goes to some unbelievable places that you really can't see coming and it makes you want to get inside the book and join the revenge. It's all so dark, brutal, intense and crazy. It's also heart-wrenching and I totally cried multiple times. I was going insane!

I went more in depth on the characters in the review for the first book so won't do it here again but I absolutely love both, I just fell in love with them even more in this. Both Angel and Alice go through so much but they come back stronger than ever. Stronger as people and stronger as a couple. The romance is seriously off the charts, it's pretty epic.

Ugh this book is everything! There isn't a single thing that I didn't absolutely love about this book. I'm so happy I discovered this Kings Duet world and it will stay with me forever, for sure! Wow these are truly phenomenal!

"Nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever affect how much I love you. You, Alice, are the air I breathe, the beat of my heart. Without you next to me, I'll fall."

"Because family don't let each other wander in the dark alone."

This is the conclusion of the Duet series. I absolutely love all the characters in these books. Ms. Wolff has an amazing writing style. She kept my attention and the book was very gripping. There is alot of depth and development of the characters and understanding of the decisions made. The Hero Angel is a force to be reckon with. He is a strong mafia leader who does not hesitate to do what needs to be done. He shows Alice a side of him that no one has ever seen.

Alice goes through hell and back and still remains strong. She refuses to give up. I love the bond Angel and Alice have and maintain despite what transpired. I highly endorse this book.

Fall and Rise of the King (Book 2) King’s Duet by Ruby Wolff

After King’s Revenge (Book 1) Ruby Wolff had me hook, line and sinker leaving us with a crazy arse cliffhanger! 😳 I NEEDED MORE!!!

Angel Frost is the King of the Frost Family. After being tortured almost everyday for 2 years by the prison guards, has left him unforgiving and relentless with his quest for revenge and he doesn’t care who stands in his wake. Protecting his family is not something he takes lightly. Family means everything to him. Alice is the air he breathes. When he looks towards the future, he sees her!! He will move heaven and earth to make sure she is safe no matter what.

Alice has been hiding from her past 14 years. She had managed to have stayed hidden from The Family looking for her, but, they didn’t give up. They found her and took her. Angel promised her he would always keep her safe. He failed. The King has fallen! In order to find her and get her back from his enemies, The Devil must rise! The Devil is who and what he needs to get back what belongs to him ... His Queen -Alice!

Alice new this day would eventually come. The day her past would find her. She was a fighter. But, one can only fight for so long before one can no longer do it by herself. She needs her Angel to save her. Will The King rise again or will the Devil take over and save her.

This book had so many more twists and turns than the first book. Just when I thought I new what was coming ... NOPE ... I was wrong! Secrets were revealed, trust was broken, people were gone, heartbreak was in abundance, family needed one another desperately.

The supporting characters were soooo great as well! They all played an important role in the story. Not to mention the steamy scenes were indeed steamy and hot! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ruby Wolff did a fantastic job writing this Duet! It wasn’t what I expected but I am completely taken in. A pleasant surprise indeed!
Must read! TBR List!

I completely devoured this duology…😈

It was full of action and plot twists at every turn which were done well, but a bit confusing and repetitive at times.First and foremost, the first book ends with a cliffhanger and the second starts with chaos and heartbreak all around.

This book has been about risking everything for your family and their thirst for bad blood and revenge.I always love seeing bonds that are unbreakable in books.

We have dual Povs and a strong female love interest who stands her ground and walks through hell and back, only to come out stronger than ever. Our protagonist is a fearless man who has his own set of morals. He is known as the devil and he deserves this title, even though in book 2 he was a bit cringey with the names in the beginning, but we‘ll blame the stress he had to endure.

Furthermore, everything was exactly made for a mafia book.It was unpredictable at times and incredible unstable morally grey main characters.

An explosive action packed ending to this duet. Alice and Angel lives get turned inside out within these pages. The passion and chemistry these two have is still there but is out on the back burner since there are questions that need to be answered.
Alice has got to be one of the strongest heroines I have read in awhile. She refuses to let life get her down. Now that's not saying there wasn't a time she needed time. She is definitely perfect for Angel she is the angel that sits on his shoulder and keeps him tethered to the here and now. Angel is just as alpha as he is in the first book. You do not need with his queen and live to tell about it.

Nobody takes the King’s Queen

This is the second installment in the duet, so make sure you have read Kings revenge first!

This is the continuation of Angel and Alice’s story. The twists come hard and fast in this book, and just when you think you have everything figured out, you don’t!

I loved Angel’s dedication to Alice and that he doesn’t change. Some mafia types have the Hero (or antihero as the case may be) soften or lose their edge. Not Angel. If anything, he becomes even more ruthless in his methods to regain his control. Alice continues to be one of my favorite heroines of all time. Her strength, heart, and brains are clear, and I loved every word.

When Angel took his revenge he had no idea what the repercussions would be at the time and quickly came to see that Alice had been taken from him. He will do anything to get her back, she’s his queen and he’s her king and together they will conquer the world. Their story is gripping, suspenseful and will have you o. The edge of your seat wanting more. This is the end of the duet and what a way to go! Great book, loved it! I received a copy of this book.

Trigger warnings needed

Loved this book, needs some editing but the biggest problem was the lack of trigger warning for the sexual assault. It isn't super graphic but a warning would still have been nice. Otherwise I very much enjoyed this book.

After not being able to protect the woman he loved, Angel tries to bring her back to him. He promises himself that he will destroy everyone who even thought about harming Alice.

This book keeps its readers on the edge with every chapter with its continuous plot twists. It is dark, angsty, twisted, emotional and has suspense that will make the readers eager to know. This duet series is a highly recommended for Mafia Romance Novel lovers.

Personal take:
The book was an emotional roller coaster with the suspense, plot twists and deaths of the characters made me not want to stop reading. For me, this book even was better than its previous part.

Whoo this book had me stressed to the max! The entire time I felt like I was dying. Hoping that everything would work out for angel and Alice! I'm so glad eventually that it did. It was a wild freaking ride. Exhausting but well worth it. I wish there was an extended epilogue with what was going on a few years in the future. I am really happy with where it ended! Stressful, exciting, and heart stopping.

Fall and Rise of the King
(Kings Duet Book 2)
Written by: Ruby Wolff

Fall and Rise begins with Angel still in the hospital and he is unaware of the fact that Alice is now running for her life to keep from being captured by Harvey. When he does find out, he checks himself out of the hospital and plans begin to find her and get her home safely.

The Frost family is working quickly to let the other “families” know that they are not out of the game and London is not up for grabs. One of Angel’s best quotes comes during this rebirth so to speak, “Tell them I’ll bring hell along with me, so I can make sure they all die by my hand.”

Alice and Vinny are barely staying ahead of Harvey and the Midlands family and it is finally decided the safest place for Alice to be is back with Angel. Plans are made to get her there safely, but the suspected “mole” inside the Frost family strikes again and Alice is taken by the enemy.

This book never stops! The action is continuous and so much happens. While being held captive by Harvey, Alice is forced to endure a number of violent acts. Although Alice is held hostage for a number of days it is the first physical punishment that is described. I felt readers needed this warning.

This dark love story has its up and its downs, it was fast paced, so many events and yet they all gave the story credence and I know I will go back and read this one again.

Author Ruby Wolff has given those who like dark mafia romance stories a great addition to their collections.

Speechless.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster and a masterpiece all in one.

I rarely really like the second book within a series but I found I actually preferred this book to the first one.

I definitely get every emotion while reading this novel and was shocked to find a cried more than once.

Angel and Alice’s story is beautiful but yet so tragic at the same time. Happy but yet so upsetting.

It has everything. I never thought I’d get so attached to two characters in a duet series before.

I could not recommend this series enough!

However, if you do want to give this series a go. PLEASE do not be like me and search up the trigger warnings as this book covers mature and sensitive topics.
