What a story! I was super intrigued by just reading the prologue. Even though, being totally honest, the first few chapters were a little hard to get through. Nevertheless, once this mysterious and devilishly handsome man comes into the story, my curiosity is picked once again and left me on edge throughout the rest of the story.

I absolutely adored the characters, Eva is such an incredible woman, and Will's gold heart just makes him the whole package of a perfect man. And Bells, she's just the best friend ever!

As intriguing as the prologue was, I wish it had been writing differently because it made the story too predictable. Hence, the 4 stars. Plus, I wish their deep conversations had been longer. They were obviously more than just physically attracted to each other from the start, but I wish we had more of their connection.

However, the author made sure to always find a way to turn the story around and make it more interesting, despite the predictable main plot-twist. And the steamy scenes were really really good.

All in all, I enjoyed reading this book so much, I really do recommend it. I hope there is a second book because the epilogue left me full of curiosity wanting so much more.

Lay Me Bare – Lay Me Bare #1
Written by: L. M. Allen

Eva Adams owns an events business with her partner Helen (Bells) Tyler. They are doing amazingly well and business is growing.

It’s Eva’s personal life that is the issue. Other than her family, (her mother and her daughter Summer, Bells and her hubby Gary) Eva spends a lot of time alone. For a reason, she is keeping a low profile, in effect hiding from someone, her (ex) husband Dan. She has no idea where he is but she knows if he finds her there will be trouble.

Enter rich, sexy, handsome Will Hunter, who hires Eva and Bell to plan an opening party for his new hotel. This man he exudes sex, passion and wealth, everything Eva is avoiding. But she can’t avoid Will.

The sexual tension between these two scorches the pages and although Eva worries about the ramifications that may come should her husband decides to reappear she doesn’t care, because Will is everything Dan wasn’t.

Sometimes you aren’t looking for something and when that something appears your heart takes over and your head doesn’t talk to you loud enough.

L. M. Allen is introducing Lay Me Bare as the first in a series and she has done an amazing job with the story line, the character building and the spin of the story. There is someone out there watching, there is someone out there planning, there is someone out there ready to destroy lives. The ground work has been laid in this book, two coming together, betrayal, heart ache and surprises that shock the characters and readers both.

I’m hoping that the next book in this series builds on all of this and takes readers on another wild ride.

The plot of the book began with an epilogue that for me somewhat ruined my reading experience because it put me in a constant state of suspicion. Because of the epilogue I did not believe in Will, I did not believe in the relationship between Eva and Will and I was not surprised when everything exploded. I think it was right to let this be revealed in a more implicit and sophisticated way.

The rest of the plot was uneven in it's level.
There were a lot of sex scenes that were actually well written but I got tired later on because they repeated themselves .
The description of the event production was very interesting and it was evident that research was done on the field of event productions at the highest level, but unfortunately this aspect of the plot also became annoying due to Eva and Will's unprofessional behavior as a couple.

Violent events that were described as difficult and shocked me at first, turned out to be not terrible at all because otherwise how is it possible the next day to have wild sex on tables ?!
*** I must point out that this is one of the things that makes violent offenses against women seem not serious enough and that is not ok !
The plot towards the end was twisted and tangled in so many lies and secrets that it was too tiring and too busy for me.

The Characters:
Eva, a young single mother is rebuilding her life after coming out of a very destructive relationship. I really appreciated the author for finding a way to show that Eva really is a very serious, dedicated and professional businesswoman so I was very disappointed that later in the story she allowed herself to become a woman who acted like an uncontrollable and disrespectful hormonal teen to her subordinates, clients, parents of her daughter etc.
If I were a service provider or anyone else coming to a business meeting and finding the person, I was meeting with straddling her partner's lap and kissing passionately, I would turn around and go. This is not a professional behavior. I was very embarrassed and very ashamed for Eva that this is how she finds it appropriate to behave.

I loved the fact that Eva is raising Summer as an independent, brave girl (climbing trees, experimenting) with an exemplary admired character (Katniss Averdine)
It reflected her way of thinking about how a woman should feel in this world. That’s why I was very disappointed in a lot of the choices Eva chose to make throughout the story.

I think there is a lot of problem in men that Eva surrounds herself with .
She allows herself to succumb to slippery words and expressions of affection when in practice she notices warning signs but prefers to ignore them.
For example - after Eva is injured Will insists on taking care of her . when she decides to go back to work the following sentence comes out of his mouth: "Eva, I agreed that you work from home. Do not push your luck" Eva turns to him in a rage ( good for her ) but hey, he's shirtless , so it’s ok if talks to her Like he talks to a little girl .

There were many more warning bells ringing in my head about Will and Eva's relationship but the last seal was in the romantic scene at the foot of her tree where he propose marriage and wants her signature on the girls adoption documents.
and what does she do? she signs it Without thinking twice ! This is a major issue ! think about the consequences, the commitments, such important things are talked about before and decided together!

Unfortunately, I was left with the impression that Eva is putting herself in an unhealthy and unequal relationship and this is just another type of abuse sponsored by a lot of nice words and good sex that will pass with time.

Will's character was poorly written. He was portrayed as a dream man but in practice I felt he was obsessive, creepy and overbearing not to mention his booming business (where is the honor in that?)
He imposes himself on Eva at every opportunity. Yes, he does it sweetly (after all, he is an expert at it) under the cover of “taking care of her “ ( nobody asked you dude ! )
His personal story did not impress me because it was exaggerated, and in no way justified his way of behaving.

Note – whispers and murmurs in a way only the partner hears, are a good way to create intimacy and closeness, but when it becomes the main means of communication it becomes meaningless annoying and creepy .
Also , I want to comment, when spouses say to each other "I love you" it should be meaningful, special and powerful.
The number of times Will says to Eva "I love you" in a month of dating is greater than the number of times my husband told me this all the years we've been together ( 26 years but who is counting ) . Again , It becomes completely meaningless.

I’m sorry but I didn’t like the book. There was potential in the plot and the characters but it had a lot of problems I could not ignore .

Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from Book Sirens and am leaving a review voluntarily.

Eva Adams seemingly has everything - a successful event planning business, great friends, a beautiful daughter. But looks can be deceiving, because Eva also has something else - a psychotic husband five years in the wind who once tried to kill her and their unborn daughter.

So when Will Hunter - a smoldering, gorgeous, sex on a stick client - walks into Eva’s business wanting her to handle the design and opening of his new hotel, she’s shocked at her own lustful reaction to him when she’s not even looked at a guy for years. Will, too, seems head over heels for Eva. Can this be the part of her life that’s been missing? Slumbering while the rest of Eva’s life speeds on?

But they each have secrets, and some secrets can be more deadly than others.

So, I found this book to be just fair. It’s billed as adult erotica, but I’ve honestly read many, many books with more sizzling sex scenes than this one, and they weren’t billed as erotic, either.

The overall story is good, but I feel it needs a lot of fleshing out. There are some romantic and thriller aspects, with a couple of good twists, but the characters need more development. I never got a real feel for any of the characters. They generally felt too stereotypical and stiff, and I wasn’t sure if at times the characters were pretending to cover up their real motivations or were being genuine.

The book ends on both an HEA and a cliffy. But at this point I’m not sure if the HEA is a red herring or not because I just don’t have enough of a grasp of the characters, motivations, and overall story arc. It seems there is a lot of background we as readers were never privy to, and I assume more of this is coming in a second installment.

So, overall, I found the book pretty meh.

Wow! What a great read and not what I was expecting. This book kept me wanting to know what happens next the whole way through! LM Allen is a new author to me and this won’t be the last book I read from this author! Hopefully the next book will be out soon so I can continue reading Will and Eva’s story - I have a feeling there is a lot more still to come for this couple!

What an intense story.
I have had these sitting for a while on my currently reading as I wanted to wait as long and as close to when I receive the ARC copy of book 3.
I could read them all in one go. I couldn't wait the curiosity got the better of me! I am sure glad I started this one though.
It was sexy, intense and so intriguing. I had no idea where the story would go. Will had me so suspicious of his intentions with Eva but as time went by I couldn't help but love him.
I honestly cannot wait to read book 2 as they must be read in order.
This is again another new author I have discovered this year and I have to say I really enjoyed the writing and story so far. Onwards to book 2!!! 😊

I don’t do spoilers or story recaps, read the blurb guys - that’s why the author wrote one. Then use the reviews to see what others think. Remember to check triggers, there are recurring memories of domestic violence here.

Our two main characters are a delight to sink in to, we share every emotion the resilient Eva goes through - and there’s a lot. She‘s had a really, REALLY rubbish few years, lost her dad, her beloved brother Angel Davey, and lost her trust. She’s smart, built her own business (which I totally want to hire btw!) and is determined to protect the ones she loves. It’s hard to make female readers love the female main character, but this girl is salty, strong and I loved seeing her confidence grow as the story progresses - especially in the bedroom.

Will, oh he’s the best of book boyfriends! Deliciously sexy, hot, gentle, vulnerable, jealous ..... where will the perfect adjectives end! He comes in and turns everything upside down, breaking down Eva and our barriers. I spent so long thinking he’s too good to be true but so believable, and every vulnerability he shows pulls us in more. And I so, so wanted to be pulled in - damn that man could charm the birds from the trees. Did I mention he’s also the provider of some very steamy sex..... oh my!

It’s not often I get to read a book by a British author and it was a breath of fresh air. Nothing wrong with non British lol - it’s just nice to read in a pure unadulterated style I can totally relate to. And damn if I couldn’t literally smell the vinegar on those fish and chips!

Readers, I truly adored this book. Read it in less than 24 hours, and just couldn’t put it down. A great storyline with so many emotions, insecurity, trust issues, betrayal, loss. It’s all going on. The author paints a picture on every page that I could totally envisage and be part of. She gives us everything we ask for, from the characters we fall in love with (and not just the main characters either - so many people here who made me smile, made me want to know them better), to the HEA ending we totally deserve. You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t leave without giving you my favourite line of the book
‘The guy turned up and told me he was here for a date with my girl. Excuse me for seeing the funny side when you come down the stairs in my shirt and just-fucked hair, not even knowing the guys name’. Swoon

Lay Me Bare is the first book in a trilogy by new author LM Allen. It is a suspense romance told in first person POV. LM is weaving a story filled with intrigue, mind blowing secrets and *wipes brow* sexy scenes. She has laid the groundwork in LMB and I’m hoping for much more character growth when we get Will’s POV in Bared To You.

Eva is a single mom running a events company with her bbf Bells. When Will Hunter seeks their help to promote his new hotel, Eva is torn between wanting him and wanting the job. He makes it very clear she can have both.

The thing is Eva is still married to violent, shady, and MIA, Dan. And, Will has major trust and abandonment issues.

The more she pushes Will away the harder he tries. Their connection is off the charts and something they have never shared with anyone else. As she takes advantage of her daughter on holiday with her mom, reality comes crashing in upon their return.

But, Will admits they have more in common then what he led her to believe. As Eva lets Will into her world and reveals the truth behind her marriage, she will come to see that Will has kept much of his life from her.

As they navigate that trials of a new relationship, earn trust, and integrate into each other lives, Eva decides it is time to move on from her past. Only to find out Will has even more secrets he has been keeping.

This story has a lot of twists and turns that had my attention and drew me in. There are a lot of bumps in the road for Eva and Will as they navigate the newness of their relationship. Only having Eva’s POV, I have a lot of questions about Will. But, the next book is told from his POV, so I am hoping to understand him much better.

I enjoyed the book overall. I had a few times that I wished Eva would grow a backbone and that we had more exploration and explanation of the storyline. But, seeing as it’s a trilogy I am going to give the books a chance to deliver and not base my entire review on this first book.

𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅. 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒆. 𝑰 𝒄𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒎𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒕. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔.

I love the plotline, but something was just missing for me. There is mystery, romance and a few tear worthy scenes but there was too much sex.

The main characters Eva and Will have a relationship based on insta-love. The relationship progressed fastly with not many signs of trust issues. Eva forgave very easily and moved on quite quickly. While I like how courageous, strong and determined she is, I think she needs some control over her hormones and should take a note of the events that can raise suspicions. She gets distracted and diverted everytime Will is kissing her neck or if he is just standing shirtless in front of her!

One thing happens and then the characters are either making out or having sex which is sometimes detailed and sometimes just mentioned. It is too much and while it is passionate, it isn't exactly in the erotica category.

The mystery is present from the beginning and throughout the book all I was praying for was that Will should not be him. (I won't tell you if he was or not.)

There are some secrets revealed, some people coming back from the past and definitely many loving and happy scenes which will make you smile wide.

“𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖. 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆,”

This book ends on a happy note and leads to the next book in the epilogue which can be counted as a cliffhanger.

Would rate this 2.7 stars⭐

Trust me; touch me; savor each sensation.

31/4

I liked the book a lot but i couldn’t get over the super hectic and confusing beginning. It didn’t set the scene. It kept jumping to a new different scene with a different location. lol. The book really takes off after a few pages after it introduces Eva Adams as a divorced single mom who is haunted by an abusive violent ex-husband who Kills her “New boyfriends.” Eva half owns a party planning company with her best friend. Her new client; Will Hunter is the owner of the most exclusive Honey Trap agency in London. Will is need of Eva’s services for a huge launch for his company. Eva has sworn off men as long as her ex-husband is walking the streets. She brushes off Will’s advances many times until she finally surrenders to her desires. But can she really trust Will Hunter?

I really wanted to love this book. I really did. It just wasn’t as suspenseful as i would have liked. When i thought some something was going to happen it seemed to just fizzle out. There was a lot of sex and it was very hot and sexy. I liked that a lot. I also liked the mystery in the end. It was a question that i never thought to ask and i will definitely read the next book to find out. lol. I believe there is another version of this book where it is through Will Hunter’s eyes in her newsletter. I will immediately sign up for that. I’d love to know what he was thinking as he pursued Eva. She has a new fan and a new follower despite of the rating. lol. I received a complimentary copy of this book, and i am leaving this review voluntarily.

Wow! What a web we are weaving! This book was a twisted story of epic proportions. It is a long but sinful journey that is intraquery designed to perfection.

Eva is a successful event planner and single mom to a sweet little girl named Summer. She doesn't have time for relationships, nor does she have the desire for them. She has been hurt really bad in the past and the future is not clear. She lives her life looking over her shoulder and she can't allow anyone to become victim to her messed up past.

Everything changes the day that Will walks into her life. Really he doesn't walk, he bulldozes his way in. Breaking down every wall in his process, beyond repair. But she doesn't deserve to be happy and karma has a way of creeping up on her when she least's expects it in the most twisted and hurtful way. Can she survive another heartbreak??? Or will death find her this time?

Overall this book was extremely well written with a deep and intricate plot. It was very unique and has many layers to the storyline. The characters are intense and well developed throughout. The seduction is hot and off the charts, as well as the deception and danger. And the ending Epilogue....let's just say you need to read it. It is a doozy.

This is a first from this author for me and I have to say I was not disappointed. It kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the hammer to drop and all hell to break loose, which it does quit often. I am thoroughly impressed with the writing skills and unique story telling. I am excitedly waiting for the next round.

I rarely like to leave reviews like this so first I like to leave some positive notes.

This is the first time reading this author. I will say that it was well written, no blips in the editing. I like her family side characters and would have liked to see more of the little girls.

Besides that I had very little reaction to this story. I didn't absolutely love or hate it, it just was. I wasn't attached to the characters at all. I understand Eva had a past with an abusive man. But the other male characters in the story, while not abusive, they still were manipulative to her in a different way. And as an abused woman it seems that she forgave so easily. And while I dont mind instalove, this was so insta I was skeptical more than the main character. Lastly I felt the story try to give many twist and turns that didn't hold any suspense.

I really wanted to be all in, but there was little attachment for me. However I will give this author another go, because it doesn't always mean I won't like something else from them.

This story had a lot going on. The further the book went on the more things happened and it seemed to jump around a lot and I lost track of all the things that were going on. One minute the launch of the hotel wasn't too far away and then lots of things happened and she was out of action for a couple of weeks and then the launch. Then more happened and Dan was there then he wasn't. Just ALOT going on.

The chemistry between Eva and Will was hot and instant which I am always dubious about but these two seemed to work. And then it didn't then it was ok again before it wasn't again and then it was.
For a guy who had everything he did seem a bit possessive and the way he went about it was a bit weird if you ask me but hey...

Had a few curve balls in amongst it toward the end and even though this was explained it still was a lot to take in even on top of everything else that was going on.

If you love lots of action and ups and down, shock moments plus some epic hot AF sexy time etc etc then this book is for you.

I really liked the plot of this book and was excited when I received an ARC. The book did not disappoint and I always wanted to know what comes next. Both characters were very interesting and likable. There was a lot of turbulent background on Eva, and Will always stayed a bit mysterious, which was kind of part of his charm for me.
The chemistry between these two was great and I did love the road their relationship took.
So there really was lots to love about this book and it’s definitely worth reading! I did not give it the full five stars, because there were some moments where I felt like there were some explanations missing, or dealt with serious matters in the blink of an eye. I would have wished for them to work through these things harder. So, basically I’m saying I would have liked more of the characters, which is not a bad thing at all. I’m looking forward to book 2 in this series!

Dearest reader,

I was introduced to the author through this work. I had several feelings when I read the book. It began with a vague prologue. And from there it went on in various directions. The story is majorly told in one person point of view. The protagonists felt mediocre at times. The main issue I faced was when in the last few chapters there were a lot of twists introduced which felt abrupt and frankly unnecessary. Because of those deliberately turned tables, various loop holes emerged in the story. The end felt a bit forced. Apart from that it was an enjoyable fast paced story. By the end, I really felt that the story, characters and the author has some real good potential to do more.

There is still room for improvement and I appreciate all the efforts put into this work by the author. I wish Miss L M Allen very well and look forward to her future projects.

Love,
CJ

Eva is an event planner, single mum and has a very independent streak. She doesn't trust many people, especially men. She meets Will, her new client and there is an instant attraction. Eva gets to know Will and the attraction grows. This puts them both in danger and it's up to Will to prove to Eva he is worth the risk.

This book is written in Eva's POV and I have to be honest I prefer when books are written from different POVs. It started a little slow but soon picked up the pace. As we follow along with Eva's dangerous past and her personal struggles, I begin to fall in love with her character. She is a strong, independent and loving woman. She adores her daughter, mother and close friends. Will is a caring but damaged man, he has trust issues with people, but dotes on those he loves.

The story changes directions and keeps you on your toes. It is nice to see Eva and Will grow as people and a couple throughout the book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Eva and Will. It took me a while, but I did enjoy the book overall. Their storyline is a bit slow. It’s definitely not fast pace. The details and descriptions are not overbearing where it’s an actual problem but it does add to the length of the book. It can be a bit distracting at times, where you skim to the point of dialog because the descriptions are not really needed. That was the one flaw. The editing skills were on point throughout the book. The character development was great. Some parts you do feel a little lost but it adds to the mystery so not really a problematic factor. Overall, the book is enjoyable and not at all a waste of time or disappointment. You get what you asked for. Very cute and all the plot twists and turns are super fun!

Eva's "husband" is out there and she wants him out of her and her daughters life. When she meets Will in the process of her divorce, she doesn't believe she can fall in love. But Will surprises her, in more ways than one and in some not good ways. Eva's world is about to be flipped upside down.

This book is absolutely fantastic. It grabs your attention and doesn't let go until its finished. Eva and Will's story is built from tragic pasts and they deserve to be happy together. The author did a great job in creating their stories and giving them an arc that makes sense.

The plot line was great, despite being a little far fetched in some spots. It was a great story that delves into many different topics, and gives survivors of abuse a spot light and hope. I wish the author would leave their story alone, but the epilogue seems to have a different idea.

I really enjoyed this read from LM Allen. I liked the detailed background of the characters and it had a bit of mystery, tragedy, heroism, and love all rolled into one. I loved how Eva was independent despite her awful past (I love a successful heroine!) she knew what she was doing in her business & I really dug that, the concept was cool, I loved “bells” I would have like to have known a bit more about her. Will was at times mysterious but had that whole alpha vibe which was HOT! There’s a lot of steamy bedroom scenes for all you peeps who like it like that :) all in all I enjoyed this read and look forward to more, yes it ends on a cliffhanger of sorts! *note I received ARC copy of this book & this review is based on my actual honest opinion of this book*

There were a lot of editing errors that was a little distracting. Otherwise it was an overall decent read. He pushes himself on her fairly quickly and I didn’t understand why at first and I almost stopped reading because of it. I’m glad I didn’t stop reading because all is revealed. She is always on high alert with much reason. She has been through some tough times. She is very strong and independent. He is described to be extremely attractive but he seems to be a little needy. There was a few steamy scenes that were pretty hot too 😀. You are left with a cliffhanger in the epilogue so if you want to read as a stand-alone, don’t read the epilogue.

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for an honest review. So I’ll start by saying I really liked this book. The characters are sexy and smart and successful. Eva is a single mom who’s living life but not to the full. Will, whew, Will is a total alpha and the type of H I love to read. When these two meet, sparks fly but Eva is too afraid to try. She has baggage and not her adorable daughter. This book is super bedroom heavy. It works sometimes and not at others. My one complaint was her nickname because it only came up halfway through the book and I didn’t feel it fit her. Silly, I know , but it bugged me. This story has some amazing plot twists that were totally awesome and others that fell flat. Overall I’d say this was a sexy, interesting, definite must read.

This is a unique novel. The style of writing isn't easy to follow and I was a bit confused at first with the plot.

I liked the characters, they were both strong characters that knew what they wanted.

The author did a great job of building good tension between characters and offering a genuine attraction between them.

It is definitely interesting but I think there could have been clearer descriptive detailing on what was going on there was a lot of back and forth and not communicating what and where the characters were in the time line.

This author definitely has protentional.

It could just be my preference in writing style as well.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest and voluntary review

This is the first book in this series. It’s not a bad start!! It has mystery, secrets, twists and turns, great characters with nice chemistry, and it did hold my attention!!
Eva’s life may seem perfect on the outside, but in reality her husband has disappeared, after trying to kill her and her unborn daughter. She’s not looking for a relationship, but in walks the dashing, Will. He is interested in becoming a client in her design business. Both hold secrets, and try to resist each other, but unfortunately it’s very hard for them......
I recommend this book

With a touch of suspense, this steamy read kept my interest throughout.

The prologue sets the tone as the reader is introduced to Eva and Will. Their insta attraction is hot but the impending shoe drop lurks in the background as they navigate their ‘relationship’. Her past is back but it’s not the only thing that could a wrench in their relationship.

The story dragged in some places but I still liked it. I did find myself wishing that it wasn’t in the 1st person POV and was happy to hear that a second book will feature Will’s take.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story. It had me anticipating what would happen to Eva and Will ever since I read the prologue. I felt this book was mysterious but also exciting and steamy as well. I really loved the characters and thought the storyline kept me interested until the very end. There were many twists and turns that had me so surprised almost the entire time. This is my first book by this author and it definitely will not be my last. I can't wait to see what else happens to these characters! I received a free review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

Eva is a single mom, well known event planner with a baggage of anabusive stalker ex. It is Insta-Lust when she meets Will, Her client. The plotis not simple and it is weaved in a slow manner with sudden twists and turns. Thebook was kind of emotionally  Bland to myliking and I couldn’t connect with the characters but I found the last 30% ofthe book to be interesting. The plot deserves a 4.5 star for its uniqueness butit is the narration of the book that makes me give only 3.75 star.

There were some things I really enjoyed about this book but there were others that just didn't work for me. To start, I thought that the basic storyline concept was intriguing and I enjoyed the suspense, twists and steam that filled the book. As for what didn't work so well for me: My biggest issue was the overall tone of this book. There was such a frantic feel to it all that I personally found off putting. As for the characters, I had issues with them both. I'm posting a unbiased, unsolicited review.

I would really give this a 3.5. It is an onteresting story with some twists and turns. Will's overuse of the word baby drove me crazy, but that is a pet peeve of mine. I found Eva to be very frustrating. For someone who is so determined to be this strong and independent woman, she just seems to flop when it comes to Will. He is always shutting her questions down and she just takes it. When she finds out the truth, its like she's upset for one minute she lets him bully his way right in without respecting her request for time. It was all just very frustrating for me.

There's a lot going on in this story and there were times that I felt disconnected with it and the characters. Eva and Will have an interesting relationship, good back and forth, chemistry and a pull to each other. There are things going on that keep me questioning, bit of suspense, very intense moments that caused my heart to pound. There's emotion swirled in to the mystery as well. As I said, there's a lot going on with these characters that kept the story moving.
