A little more than a year ago, he saw an old friend in a new light and has been fighting that attraction ever since. When she runs into trouble ,he helps with her rescue and then stays as close to her as he can to help her find that spark in life she’s missing. A true friend with a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear, he kept Jenna Forrester at a safe distance even though his heart would forever belong to her.
When an accident puts Jenna’s life in danger again, Fain realizes he almost threw away the one woman who completes his soul. They’ve faced problems together before, but the ones up ahead might just be too much for the two of them to bear, especially since she’s convinced he’s not the man she thought he was.
The princess of the MC has Kings all around her that aren’t sure Fain’s the man who can be her forever. With two of the strongest people he’s ever known at his back, he finds his old family and melds it with his new, all the while pushing Jenna to live a life she never thought possible.
Join Fain and Jenna on a journey that takes them out of Rojo and helps them find each other in the next book of the Texas Kings MC series.
3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads. ====================== I think it was an ok read and we know more about the hero's life, but nothing really happens in the story. Just the heroine's recovery and the two of them finally getting together and nothing more.
I feel like we've been waiting for this one for a long time. I also liked how we got how long Jenna worked to get better, with the updates of what was going on at home, you could see events from other books happen from afar.
I really liked how Fain fought hard to be by Jenna's side through out this one. From when the accident happened to every step until she could come home for good. It wasn't easy for him, at times he had to fight Jenna's family, at times he had to fight Jenna, but despite everything he was there for her, slowly winning over everyone, including Jenna.
I loved meeting Fain's family, their history broke my heart. They totally fit in with all the Texas Kings crew. I sort of wish the lot of them would end up moving to Rojo.
The ending to this one had me smiling, loved seeing Jenna and Fain happy living their lives.
Didn’t really have much of a beginning. Tired of the men confessing how they love the girl but continue to sleep around likes it no big deal. Of course the girl remains the virgin, so the guy gets his cake and eats it too.
Fain Tempest knows he is not good enough to ever go after MC Princess Jenna Forrester, despite wanting to. Fain knows Jenna has been harboring a not so secret crush on him for years but he knows he needs to nip that interest in the butt. What Fain doesn't expect is the accident Jenna is in and the chance he may lose her forever. Her recovery is harrowing and she needs to be transported to a Colorado rehab, Fain thought he lost her once but he wont let her go again. Fain follows Jenna to Colorado to be by her side but she isn't sure why he was really there or if she wants him to be. Can Jenna give Fain a second chance while facing the toughest challenges of her life?
I was almost afraid to pick this book up because my expectations were so high with this couple. You have had little breadcrumbs about these two and I was worried I would be disappointed, hands down this exceeded expectations. I was blown away by this book, it was raw, unpredictable, and full of so much passion it was a one sit read. Amazing is all I can say and Fain was a huge surprise, I can't wait to see what happens next.
It was great to finally get Fain and Jenna’s story. I loved all the new characters from Fain’s family. They are totally awesome and I am looking forward to their books.
This was all about the people and the relationships. We got to meet Fain's brothers and sisters and I love them. I want more of them - there's so much potential for more tales. I especially love their names. Fain and Jenna have loved each other for a long time but Fain wouldn't admit it to himself. What they had to go through together after the accident cemented their relationship. Fain is an incredible human for what he went through as a kid and what he went through with Jenna. Jenna is a very strong woman. She had some growing up to do and was forced to do it quickly after the accident.
I love this series. It was so good. I’m in love with Fain and Jenna. Jenna was injured and Fain was helpful. Also I’m glad we got more background history of Fain.
Liked seeing Fains family but this book could have cut off a third of its content and still gotten it's point across, it just started to drag on for me
This story, more than any other of the multiple series to date, is not a STAND-ALONE read. The majority of the timeline for this story is in the past because it covers a high-level recap from when Jenna and Fain meet for the first time, when she fell in love with him (but not when he did with her, just saying), etc.
Cee Bowerman authors multiple series set within Rojo, Texas and they are intertwined. There is a correct reading order and it can be found on her website (ceebowermanbooks.com). These really do need to be read in that order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are multiple reoccurring characters, details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe (world building), with past and concurrent timelines and overarching themes.
Rojo, Texas and Colorado here we come … in this story we finally find out what transpired between Fain and Jenna, the car accident, her rehab, etc. that has played out over the last few books. We also learn more about Fain, his tragic history and meet his family. Hopefully they will play a part going forward, as there is plenty of material for another spin-off!
I am not going to go into a lot of detail about this story, because this is a good story. I just wish it had been released and worked into the line up before now. So much as already taken place that most of this feels like it is a series prologue iso the main feature that it should be. Between that feeling and the lack of a recap / details on what happened to Jenna before, I just couldn’t give it 5 stars.
Even though this story doesn’t contain many details about the MC, the other stories in the series do, so a little bit about the genre for those not familiar. The MC genre contains several different branches from sweet to outlaw to one percenters. While the Texas Knights MC is in the middle imo, the Texas Kings MC is more of the outlaw variety. Both focus on love, brotherhood, families and support, but the Texas Kings also bring vengeance to the table.
⛔️ The interwoven SERIES contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, (play) spanking for pleasure, restraints, “bottom” play, breath play, sensory deprivation, voyeurism, exhibitionism, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, alcoholism, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, rape, attempted rape, stalking, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, arson, drug use, drug addiction, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, polygamy, etc.
** Caution: The series contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **
There are a few grammatical issues in this story, primarily incorrect punctuation, missing words and typos, with one scenario (I.e. “ … , “) repeated throughout. I believe Cee Bowerman meant it to be a dramatic pause, but it didn’t read that way to me. I highlighted a few of the errors I found and uploaded them to Goodreads.com for anyone interested. I am mentioning these issues for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
I have absolutely loved this series! I have been waiting for this story, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Although it's not necessary, I would highly recommend that you read this series from the beginning, especially prior to reading this book. This story runs parallel with a few of the other books, but most importantly it's part of the aftermath of a hit on the club. The details of the hit are not included in this book. By reading this series from the beginning, you'll have a better understanding of the characters, the clubs, how everyone is connected, and the dynamics between them all. Not to mention, getting to read amazing stories with characters that you will love. I really hope that there's going to be more of this series! I'm sad that there's only one more book in the Texas Knights MC series(which crosses over with this series), but I'll definitely be reading this author's future work! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
This book was the culmination of hints and other character development done throughout multiple other books previously in the series. And I really felt like it was worth it. Jenna has grown up, she's been hurt horribly but she's figured out how to keep moving forward. And Fain, who has been through so much loss in his life, found his one and fought like heck for her!
Honestly, though, we really got to see all the Forrester brothers and the Tempest siblings (for the first time!) and see how they adapted and grew into their more grown up roles (for the Forresters) and adopting a new sibling of sorts (for the Tempests) - it was great to see a hint of this new series to come (having read the first two books already in that one, let me just say I'm ready for them all the be complete NOW lol).
Seeing Martha and Smokey really be able to let their daughter finally grow up and respect Fain, seeing the true journey of a parent there, that was a great part of the book.
Loved this book almost the most so far. (almost because it's so hard to pick a favorite!)
Jenna and Fain.... Fain and Jenna. This was one of the most anticipated books of this series and boy.. Cee does not disappoint! The journey of Fain and Jenna has been told all throughout the series since Kale's book. There was always something hinted at.. much to the disgust of those Forrester brothers! Jenna is going through one hell of a journey. One you wouldn't wish on anyone. Fain.. after being a the biggest dick ever has his 'come to jesus' moment. This is their story, their journey of their pain, struggles, acceptance and love for each other. This book will have you in tears.. it will have you laughing. It will take you through a lot of different emotions.. its just that damn good. And oh.. the side characters we get introduced to... Fains real family.. Talk about hot!!!! Looking forward to a spin off series there! This book is a must read. This series is a totally must read. If you haven't already.. you don't know what you're missing out on!
This is a great series if you haven't read it. This book isn't in the same caliber as the rest of the series. Fain pushes Jenna away because he feels he isn't good enough and is trying to do the right thing. Jenna takes his word to heart and leaves. She gets into a wreck and her legs are broken in multiple places and pinned in car. Fain realizes what he has done and follows her finding her accident. He goes with her to Colorado and tries to make up for what he has done. She ends up having leg amputated and he passively aggressively with the approval of her parents gets her to do rehab. She forgives him and all is well. Very predictable plot line. The only good thing about the book is Fain's back story of killing his dad and saving his siblings. Hope Cee writes book on each of them. Read the rest of the series especially about Sonny and Brenda, my fav. I love Kale and Bird's stories as well. Leave this book on shelf.
Love, a four letter word that can mean so many different things. Hate, another four letter word, with just as many different meanings. Why do some try to make those who love them, hate them?
Fain had an idea that he was not good enough for Jenna. His hateful words set off a reaction in Jenna, that he must work hard to change. Through out the course of the difficult times ahead, both Fain and Jenna find a depth of strength, that neither knew they had.
We find out the truth of who and where Fain came from. Sometimes our past colors our sight of our future.
To fully understand and enjoy Fain and Jenna's story, you must start at the very beginning. Which gets started in Home Forever. All of Cee Bowerman's books are interconnected, if you skip one, you will be lost.
Ah young love and starry dreams for girls and love from afar for a young man that's a little older, but with more of a life experience with not only how he grew up, but with being in prison as well. And Jenna being the princess of not only her dad, but with four older brothers and definitely strong willed and stubborn. It broke my heart when she had her wreck and what she had to endure especially her amputation. I was thrilled when they were able to get her surgeries and rehab done in Colorado where Fain's biological family members lived and he was able to be with them after eleven years. I enjoyed meeting all of them, but I think Thorn holds a special place in my heart and I really hope they all get a story of there own and that they decide to move to Texas also.
Oh my..I have waited on this story. Cee delivered another five plus stars for me. I have been reading these books since the first ones. Oh my God! Love them all , but a few of the stories are my five stars. This one is gonna be a fav forever! These awesome books have been my pain medication , I'm not even lying here ppl!! Been through a lot of pain these last few years. Reading is my distraction, when nothing else works! I highly recommend this and all off what Cee Bowerman shares with us! You won't be disappointed! Rojas Texas will become a favorite place to visit. Uhh waiting none too patiently for Clem's happy ever after! Thank you MS. Bowerman for these awesome reads! You're the best es es ever!😁💕💕
I was glad to see Jenna & Fain’s story. It’s got all the missing answers for the most part. My only issue, besides a few edits being needed, is once again this story is waaaaay out of order from the rest of the books.
Over 90% of this story happens right during and after Bears story. With storylines that don’t add up to this book being behind all the other books until about 87% (according to my kindle). If I was reading all of the tied in books I would read this one after Bear as it gives nothing away to any of the rest of the stories afterwards.
This story is a slow-burn not spicy and mostly modeled like an enemies to lovers story. A nice light read and can be read as a standalone.
It’s no secret that the summer of 2020 I lost my left leg due to infection. This book y’all I have no words. To have a book where the heroine is an amputee just made my day. I’ve seen some with the hero but not the heroine. Cee did an amazing job on this book. Some of the same worries I’ve had to feelings I’ve had. I want to be apart of this family so much! I know I wish I had the same support system that Jenna had. I’ve waited awhile for Jenna and Fain’s story and wasn’t disappointed it exceeded any expectations I had and was shocked cause I didn’t realize just how bad it was. But bravo Ms. Bowerman for getting the emotions and feelings PERFECT!! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Two of my favorite characters, the MC Princess 👑 finally gets her true love ( FAIN ) . This is simply heart-mending !! Both of them have issues to help each other through . Fain shows a love that most hope for . Once he allows himself to follow through with what he feels . When we have close calls they really do wake us up . It’s beautiful to see the fight in both of them . Their journey is simply Beautiful 🤩. Two families unite to make happy hearts all around. The more than merrier. Martha & Smokey have huge Arms to hold them all .

Wow. This was a fantastic story. I have enjoyed reading about Fain and Jenna throughout the whole series of The Texas Kings MC, they are amazing people individually but as a couple? OMG. In this book we see everything fall into place. We meet some new and intriguing people that you just fall in love with. I can't say much because I don't want to spoil anything but I will say have a few tissues nearby. Definitely a MUST READ. Well done Cee on another fabulous book, can't wait to see what comes next.
Fain and Jenna were friends, but Jenna wanted more. Fain was a member of the MC and older he had a past, he thought he wasn't good enough for Jenna so he made her leave. Jenna gets into a bad accident and needs surgeries and rehab. Fain stays with her. Can he overcome his past? Can Jenna forgive him? Read a definite must read for anyone who wants to go on an emotional journey. Although there is a few moments of laughter. This story will make you cry, cheer and be glad for the talent Ms. Bowerman and her sharing that talent with us.
What can I say but, that was so worth the wait! Through everyone’s else’s stories we got glimpses of Jenna and Fain, but nothing could have prepared me for their story. To hear about Fain’s childhood and to find out about his brothers and sisters was amazing. To watch Jenna go from little girl to a mature, strong & resilient woman was a joy. Cee, you have once again proven you are a masterful creator and have blown me away. I thought I couldn’t love your alphas & their awesome women anymore, but you sure showed me that I was wrong 😍
I rarely post reviews but I am so completely satisfied with this whole series that I must. Both Texas Knights and Texas Kings are excellent. The stories are complex but believable. I have never read a series of books that made me laugh hysterically with tears actually running down my face and then a few chapters later sob just as hard. I'm disabled and read at least one book a day so that is at least some experience with all types of books and I absolutely loved this author. If you like MC stories, read these. You will be glad you did.
I've been waiting for Fain and Jenna's story since Kale, and Cee did not disappoint. I'm amazed how she kept the continuity straight but she did and it made it so much easier to follow along the journey of this amazing ride. I hate spoilers so I won't give anything away ill just say Jenna is a remarkable strong young women and you really feel for her ( I went through a box of tissues with this one) , and Fain is her Smokey ! Now I will give one spoiler ... I can't wait to read about FAINS FAMILY!!!! YES PLEASE !! Another great read.
I really love this series and every book made me feel like part of the family. I so glad that Fain got his shit together and told Jenna how he felt. I can't wait for the other books to be done so I can read them but at the same time ill be heartbroken when the series ends, thank god there is still a few men that is left in the series so it doesn't have to end yet. FINGERS CROSSED THAT CLEM'S BOOK IS NEXT, PLEASE!!! Maybe Clem's girl can be Hank and Mesha's sister but make her a little badass on the inside that won't change him
I chose this rating because this was actually a really good book. I really enjoyed all of the characters. This was a book of realizing and dealing with your feelings, compassion, kindness, making the best of a bad situation. This was a really great read. I really enjoy it Fain and Jenna story, I think that they fell in love at the right time. Even though they feel in love with each other from early age. Great, great story! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
I like Fain and his family. They reminded me so much of the Foresters family. This book was a reunion of sorts. There was Jenna and Fain and second Fain and his siblings. There was a good progression of plot from both sides. There was a lot more of Smokey and Martha which is always welcomed because these parents are still so in love and it’s beautiful to read. Jenna really grew in maturity in this book. She surprised me. Good story. . . . Read On!
This story feels like it has been a long time coming and boy was it worth the wait. After getting some hints of what had been happening between Jenna and Fain in the past couple of books I loved seeing their story play out. Fain’s past shocked me but I loved the characters that it bought into the story. I also loved seeing how dedicated Fain was to Jenna and how he wouldn’t let anyone get between them. Overall, it was a really good read and a book I would recommend.
